As cat lovers (and owners), we had to see this concept live. The (human) reception was super friendly. The temple breakfast was very tasty. Everything is rather higher priced, but vegan. It doesn't really matter to me, but the combination of the quality of the food and the addition of vegan explains the prices. 2 cats were out and about, the others spread out in their areas. Petting was also possible. A sweet idea, a great home for the animal welfare cats. By the way, everything was clean! 😊

Great and clean atmosphere. Despite the many cats, everything was clean and hygienic. I was initially skeptical as to whether exclusively vegan was something for me, but I was proven wrong. The ambience is very nice, definitely quite good for cat lovers. However I had a sour experience because of one of the waitresses, the one with a nose ring. She was quite impolite towards us, as we walked in, she received us in a very unwelcoming way, then we requested if we could sit on the floor up stairs, which she completely denied. later when we went up to the washroom, we saw it was quite empty and people were dining there. I don’t know why she denied us, one of us was a cat person and would have definitely had a much better experience upstairs.

The Cat Temple is a great location for cat lovers. At first there were no cats to be seen downstairs, but over time some came by. In the upper area, where the large sleeping area is, there was already more going on. We were particularly impressed by Ilse. Jürgen is also an apparition, but he prefers to stay away from people. Fritz must have had a bad day, or he's just always like that 😅 But at the treat round all the cats were there. The human food was completely vegan, which I generally don't think is bad. My Neko Burger was also relatively tasty, but unfortunately cold. Unfortunately my wife's Cheezeburger didn't work at all, the fake cheddar cheese covered everything up with its rancid taste. You generally have to like Beyond Meat as a meat substitute. The dessert was quite good. Overall, a nice experience, but if you can't get involved in vegan food and drink, you're unfortunately in the wrong place here, despite the great cats.

Conclusion: Delicious vegan food, but cats are a matter of luck. The cat temple is located in the immediate vicinity of Bremen main train station. Anyone who comes here either wants to eat delicious vegan food or see and pet cats or both. Of course, the up to seven cats have their own will and also enough free space and places to retreat (as it should be) so it's a matter of luck and how often you have contact with them. The service at the Cat Temple is very attentive and friendly. The food tastes good for the price and the portions are ok. The ambience is modern, simple and rather cool. The toilets can only be reached via stairs. Payment is usually made by card. Tip: The vegan “scrambled eggs” are very tasty.

Great place for vegan food! Great concept. Super friendly waitress and breakfast was really delicious. We're vegetarians, so having vegan dishes is not a problem. Flavours top! Of course, the real stars here are the cats, but cats are cats....So, don't expect them to greet you at the door.

The food is okay. They have some nice coffees and lemonades. I visit every once in a while. I recommend going in early mornings or late evenings since the cats tend to be lazy midday. Sometimes the stuff seems to be not doing so well, but i guess you can't expect anyone to be patient and content everyday. The cats are cute and you can play with them.

I can only say that the food is super delicious, there should actually be something for everyone! The cats have a great run and there are also good places for the cats to hide and play! The employees are all super nice too! The food is still nice and warm when it arrives! The takeaway food is also well packaged! Of course there is also something for vegetarians!

I was a bit skeptical at first because of the animal welfare aspect. Questions I asked myself were: Are the cats exposed to visitors all day? Doesn't that stress her out a lot? Another matter of animal exploitation where the animal is used as amusement? But I was able to answer all of these questions with a no during a visit there. They are all cats from animal welfare. The cats really have a lot of opportunities to retreat from visitors. Everything is designed according to the cats' wishes. I also think it's great that there is only vegan food available. It would also be pretty macabre if you went there to pet animals and at the same time eat another animal. A small point of criticism - perhaps an age restriction in the restaurant should be considered. According to my observation, the children do not have a good idea of ​​how to interact with the cats. Lots of running behind or being hugged too hard. Unfortunately, parents don't always see everything.

A really nice atmosphere. I had breakfast there twice during my three-day stay in Bremen. As is often the case when animals are present, the mood among the people is relaxed. I spoke to the operators of the “Cat Temple” who are passionate about their restaurant and the cats. They moved here from Hesse because they couldn't get the right location there. The Bremen restaurant is a dream. The cats have opportunities to climb and retreat, are happy when someone plays with them or - if asked - to be petted. The food is vegan, was lovingly prepared and tasted very good. There are “cat temples” in several cities in Germany, unfortunately not yet in or around Frankfurt. The cats are all from animal welfare and were very well cared for and cared for. It's definitely worth a visit!

It's a shame, reserved, for my birthday, we're not allowed to sit upstairs, with the cats, there are 4 people coming after us, not reserved, we're allowed to sit there. Previous justification "I'm alone". The waiter brings a small piece of cake and then after a while has to ask if we can also order something to drink. I would have expected a little bit of birthday magic, maybe just at least “Congratulations” to my 11 year old daughter. But you shouldn't expect too much. Otherwise nice, and the cats are awesome

On 25 February: When me and my friend were petting a cat in the hallway (which was not sleeping for at least the past 45 minutes, was sitting down after a short walk and showed interest for receiving pets even before we started) an older lady with glasses wearing the uniform approached us to tell us to stop bothering the sleeping cat? But the cat wasn’t sleeping? Of course we are not so dumb to go up to a sleeping cat and disturb it. I thought maybe that’s just a regular warning everyone got but no, a german couple woke up a sleeping cat by petting right next to her only 5 minutes later and she didn’t even react. I wondered whether that’s because we are very obviously non-German looking. My friend got really sad. I still wholeheartedly want to believe that this was a mere coincidence. No matter the motivation, the behaviour was upsetting. The cats are cute and the rest of the staff were very respectful, polite, and friendly. Therefore, I didn’t reflect their colleague’s behaviour to the tip. But I still felt obligated to provide negative feedback on the matter, hence I am writing this review. I see that the restaurant reads the reviews so maybe it will be heard.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Incredibly cute cats, very trusting and friendly. Such delicious food, great service, always with an eye on the guest without being intrusive. Great! Keep it up!!

Because of the cats, it's more minimalist and practical, but still has a very cozy, feel-good atmosphere. Small menu that meets every taste requirement from sweet to savory. Everything vegan. Generous portions, absolutely good value for money. Very friendly and attentive team. The cats are rather uninterested in the “audience” and are therefore not a nuisance even for non-cat lovers. None of them beg at the table or demand human attention. They are simply there and very sweet in their existence. Will definitely visit there again.

My wife and I went to the Katzentempel Bremen for the first time today and were thrilled from the start. The atmosphere was very nice and the breakfast was excellent (kudos for the fact that the food is completely vegan). The cats all make a great impression. The staff are also very friendly and respond to the cats' needs. Everything was very nice, we will come back and can highly recommend it.

As a vegan, not having to worry about ingredients etc. and just ordering what you think is appealing is a real relief. But even so, the service was top notch, the atmosphere was great and the food was highly recommended. Keep it up 🙏🏽

The food and service were fantastic, only the cat staff was absent. Prices are more mid-range, but worth it.

Lovely bilingual staff (deu/en), has English menu. Menu has instructions on how to deal with cats and how each car likes to be petted. Cats were beautiful, lazy and very calm. Food was amazingly presented and tasted lovely. The little cat paw art on the food was adorable. I never cyan get chocolate "milk" with whipped cream elsewhere, so experiencing that here was amazing. It was an all round wonderful experience. As a heads up: when we were there, it was a very kid friendly restaurant and there were a LOT of families with children there for the lovely cats. This means the cats were a bit crowded with enthusiastic children, who are not the greatest with cat consent and there was less space for a cat loving adult to interact with the cats. The staff cares great for the cats though, as an adult was warned not to pet a sleeping cat when they did that, as stated in the rules.

This is a successful business idea! Because of the cats, which are very beautiful cats, people seem more relaxed. Laugh a lot and seem very relaxed. The food is very fresh and the owners are very nice. It is recommended and you will be rewarded with hospitality, friendliness and a nice, clean atmosphere!

I was there twice during my short stay in Bremen - on the first day for dinner and again the next day. The owners are extremely friendly and ensure a very pleasant atmosphere with their relaxed approach to their guests. The food tasted very good and fresh, and was served very quickly both times. The fact that everything is vegan is also a plus. It's true that the prices are a little higher and it's welcome to order dessert or another little something. However, you also have to keep in mind that maintaining cats and this concept also has its costs. In addition to the food, you also have a special experience. It may be that, depending on the time of day and mood, the cats are not very interested in you or withdraw, as was the case on my second visit, but that's just part of it. Respect for other living beings starts here, knowing when to hold back, whether you like it or not. You can still take photos carefully (without flash!) and enjoy the moment. Seen it a thousand times online, finally noticed it for my birthday. We had made a reservation, which was a good thing: the shop was very full very quickly in the morning. You are picked up and seated at the door, the cards come quickly. The restaurant is very clean, despite cats. There are elements everywhere that the cats can and do interact with. There is a short profile in the menu for each furry friend so that you know who is who and where the cat would like to be petted. Strict rules give cats plenty of opportunity to withdraw. The food (apple pie with vanilla ice cream and cream) tasted outstanding. Unfortunately our drinks came much later than the cake and we also waited 20 minutes for the cake. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 drinks were wrong (passion fruit spritzer instead of apple spritzer, iced coffee instead of iced chocolate). We were able to overlook this because the waitress immediately arranged for an exchange. The price is absolutely acceptable, especially considering that everything is vegan. By the way, you couldn't taste it. Both the cream and the ice cream tasted just as good and full to us as what we are used to! I will always bring visitors here in the future. Next time with warm food?

In one sentence: “too expensive fun” First the positive. The two cakes and the warm drinks were really delicious. The warm carrot cake was particularly pleasant. So the taste is really great. I would love to come back just for the palate. So now, unfortunately, straight to the negative. Unfortunately the service is very poor. We had to wait over 20 minutes for 2 pieces of cake and 2 warm drinks. I can't understand. The staff also “disappeared” for a long time for billing purposes. The "missing" staff was not only noticed negatively by us, but also by other guests. And then we come to the second problem. €24.70 for 2 pieces of cake and 2 warm drinks? Yes, holla the forest fairy. What expensive fun. Well, I already said that the cake was very tasty. However, for €7.90 and €6.90, pieces are far too small for both me and my partner and don't justify the price. I have to honestly admit that. You can make a cat temple. I would recommend it, but only if you have too much money and good service is not important to you. Kind of a shame. I would have liked to leave with a positive experience so that I could come back more often. So for me it remains too expensive fun that I will do maybe once or twice a year.

After visiting the Cat Temple several times, I can say that for me it is one of the most beautiful places I have been able to visit so far. Managed by the 8 purrtastic feel-good managers, the service of the two-legged friends is also very warm and strives to make every wish possible. While you can choose from incredibly delicious drinks, breakfast combinations, burgers, bowls, sandwiches or sweets that look and taste stunning, the 8 feel-good managers wander freely through the guest room, checking the luggage the guests have brought with them or even looking at whether Everything was done right in the kitchen and the food. Of course, since it's a super stressful job interacting with new guests every day and making sure the store is running, it's understandable that you need to take a nap every now and then. It can happen that the cats withdraw during a visit to the temple or sleep curled up in one or another box. However, once the beauty sleep is over, you often have the opportunity to go on an exciting fishing hunt with the cats or watch a breathtaking game of tag between the managers from the floor over the wall elements. In summary, I can recommend the Cat Temple to anyone who has a little time and a love for cats and is longing for a relaxing break. A very nice place, The staff was super nice and very friendly, The cats were also very cute and it was fun to play with them and just look at them. The prices are actually quite ok, a bit overpriced (the cheapest thing to eat was a croissant that cost 2.90) it was a bit expensive but there was a very nice harmony and it was nice and quiet so that when you go out there you don't have any gets a headache. Very tasty food and also affordable with the lunch special. We had lots of fun. Early in the day the cats are not yet superhuman and tend to sit next to you. But it's also nice to just watch the animals while they sleep.

Erg lekker getafeld met z'n tweeën. Beiden zijn we geen veganist, maar dat maakt hier niet uit, je mist geen grammetje vlees. Ook de desserts waren uitermate lekker. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het is altijd leuk om de katten te zien. Let wel, deze laten zich niet zomaar aaien zonder snoepjes (van het personeel gekregen) te krijgen.

Superrestaurant. Staff ist ganz ganz nett und freundlich. Das Lokal ist sehr sauber, die Katzen bewegen sich frei aber sind sehr ruhig und ganz gut gepflegt. Das Essen ist vegan, eine gute Auswahl ist vorhanden und im Allgemeinen sehr gute Qualitaet . Oeffnungszeit fuer Abendessen ist ziemlich eng, aber man muss es einfach wissen. Fuer uns (und unsere Tochter) einer schoener Abend mit guten Gemeinschaft mit leckerem Essen.
