Pleasant stay, delicious food, very good service, parking garage nearby - and the cute cats :-) recommended.

Highly recommended. It tastes very good and the price-performance ratio is also very good. Nothing is overpriced and everything is fresh and clean.

This restaurant is definitely recommended for cat lovers, as the free-roaming cats there are very sweet, curious and trusting. For the cats it is a climbing paradise. The food is purely vegan and therefore takes some getting used to for me personally!

We were at a meeting at the Katzentempel and had specially ordered it in writing with an open end, as some of us had come very far. After we were finally able to order and eat. The question was immediately asked as to when we could release the table because it was needed. But since we had previously asked the waitress whether it was really ok that we could stay longer, and this was confirmed. It was more like being thrown out, which really dampened the good mood. But the food was good, the first service also made an effort. But the last one who cashed in was a bit outrageous. The cats are very trusting and visit every table. The cloak is also very narrow, so you can hardly sit down. Getting up afterwards becomes an adventure. Not wheelchair accessible In the end, we left the restaurant in a mixed mood and also annoyed. But the food was good, the cats are great, the service was good, there was a parking garage just around the corner, hence the score. But don't forgive open end if you throw someone out after 2 hours.

Delicious vegan food. Both sweet in the form of cakes. As well as spicy in the form of sandwiches or burgers. Nice bright atmosphere and of course the cats. If they feel like it, they can also make one out of it. Or just come over for a quick cuddle. But if that's what you want. But that's ok too. In addition, the service at the Cat Temple is always friendly.

I always enjoy being here. Of course it's not very interesting for the cats, but I see it more as a gimmick, primarily there is really delicious vegan food here. I've always found the bowls, burgers and sandwiches as well as the desserts to be very good. The service is very nice and quick and I'm also happy to tell you more about the furry friends. The prices are quite steep, but since you also pay for the animals, I think that's completely reasonable. :)

2nd and final attempt to eat at the Cat Temple. The first time the fries were too hard, today they are too salty and not edible. I complained immediately but didn't get anything else. As a vegan, I like to support purely vegan restaurants, but then it should also taste good.

My wife and I were in a restaurant today where six cats are running around and therefore live there. We are cat people ourselves and were thrilled with how it was set up there. The cats have the opportunity to climb and walk along the walls. Since this restaurant was very busy, I could only take a picture of the food. It's a vegan restaurant and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat. I ate a tiger bowl and found it very tasty 😋. Of course I tested the toilets and they can be used without any problems. Conclusion : I think you can eat very well there 😋 and the cats 🐱 are a little surprise, but going there just because of the cats wouldn't be an argument for me, but the food would be. Highly recommended. 😊 😉 Everything tip top.

Eating with cats???? What sounds unusual at first quickly becomes a second living room. The nice staff and especially the 6 cats make it easy to love this restaurant. By the way, the food is good too!

The main meal (burger with fries) was tasty, but the carrot cake was very dry, even though it was advertised as “juicy”. I don't understand what raisins are doing in a carrot cake either. The white chocolate mousse was also very poor with a few dollops. And the whole thing for just under €8 is quite expensive... The cats were very cute and could also be fed at “treat time”. They were asleep most of the time, so they shouldn't be disturbed.

Very nice cat café with a completely vegan menu. The food is really delicious and of consistently good quality. The bread used for the sandwiches is simply delicious! The fries are also great. You can also have a great and relaxed breakfast here. Really everything is delicious. The cats are very sweet and care is taken to keep them in a species-appropriate, careful manner. The animals always have a place to retreat and I see again and again how much the team ensures that the cats are handled carefully. The service has gotten better over time. I only heard comments from the employees a few times that I didn't find very nice. Once a guest came in who had probably never been there before and asked if there was an entrance fee, whereupon an older employee (the boss?) told the guest quite brusquely, "This is a restaurant and not a zoo." I found that a bit unfriendly - you can't know beforehand how the concept is structured. Some gaming cafés, for example, charge a table fee. You should be a little more gentle with people who have never been to a café like that. But people were always nice to us. Every now and then the employees come by and give the guests treats so that they can interact with the cats. You can pay in cash and by card. I definitely recommend a visit!

I found out about this café through social media and immediately told my fiancé we had to go here! Reservation online worked really well and we were really looking forward to this day all week. Today was finally the day!! And we definitely weren't disappointed!!!!! The service was super nice and friendly and not intrusive like you would otherwise find in other restaurants... The food, a 10 out of 10! We ate vegan for the first time today and it was simply delicious! The cats were a bit reserved today, but that's completely okay, we did see one or two cats 🥰 thank you for this unforgettable, lovely stay with you!!!!! As of today you have gained 2 new customers ❤️😺😻

Just the thing for cat lovers and everyone who likes a cool ambience. The service is friendly and relaxed, you feel very comfortable. The food tastes great and there is also something for non-vegans. The “Katzentempel” restaurant offers a great atmosphere with very friendly staff and fast service. The food was also very tasty! The cats are just cute - it's fun to watch them as they move around freely. At the same time, the cats have plenty of places to retreat when they need some peace and quiet. An all around lovely visit!

Very nice location. I think the menu is great and the vegan food selection is also very creative and delicious. The cats are really nice and I felt very comfortable as a visitor.

The best are the cats. People with functioning taste buds shouldn't go there for the food. You really have to want a vegan diet, you certainly don't do it for pleasure. Hygiene concept probably exists, but is very generous. The worst is the staff. DeHoGa could make a “not like that” instructional video. Unfriendly, rude, arrogant, dissatisfied with the overall situation and letting it out unfiltered. You're really looking forward to the time when operating robots will be ready for series production and, based on the other reviews, you're reassured that it's obviously not your fault. Tip: If you hate people, don't go to the restaurant.

What are the tables behind the shielded glass panes supposed to do? It makes you feel like an outcast. No cats come there either. Outrageous.

A cozy, vegan restaurant where cats run around freely. The food is very good and creative. I had the Cheshire Cat burger with fries and salad. This was well made and the fries were also tasty and have a special shape. The food was also prepared quickly. The restaurant is clean. The price is a little higher but it's worth it. Great every time! I really enjoy going to the Cat Temple. Vegan food and watching or cuddling cats, what could be better? The food is great every time. Taste is A1 and good portions. Dessert is a must.

We ordered tiramisu and unfortunately I have to admit that it was very dry. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't suit me. A lovely place with delicious veggie food, non-alcoholic drinks and of course lots of cute cats. 😊 The service was sometimes a bit overwhelmed, but it was really busy. I will definitely come back and maybe it will be enough for the last star.

One sentence: kitchen chaotic and hardly any cats. It's actually a shame because the concept is great, but there are too few house cats. There would be more if you wanted. In the kitchen, dirty food also piled up in areas where hygiene is important. Why tray carts aren't used is a mystery to me. Because then it would be possible to separate dirty dishes and hygiene areas would also be there. I didn't think the food was bad at all, but we had to wait almost 40 minutes for it. A little tip, because I have experience in gastronomy, in which case a guest gets a free drink. But waiting 40 minutes for fast food in healthy is a no go, the service staff can be as friendly as they want, which they were. Few house cats, chaotic and unhygienic kitchen processes, undisputable waiting times and the not exactly cheap food, that can only give one star.

First of all, I can't say a bad word about the staff. I ordered a chai latte and a carrot cake. An hour later the cake arrived, after other customers who entered the restaurant after us had already received their food. Cake came differently than described. The cats were really cute though. However, I'm never coming back.

Great restaurant for cat lovers and very tasty food

The rooms are sometimes narrow but pleasantly designed. There is a good mix of small and larger seating areas. The cats have plenty of places to sit and lie down, and they mostly seem to feel comfortable. The toilets, on the other hand, are really catastrophic, not always clean and absolutely uncomfortable... The food is delicious and varied, the waitresses are very friendly, but sometimes there are waiting times when there is a lot going on. The prices are sometimes steep.

The place is easy to find and the location is very central, surrounded by other shops and in the middle of a walking promenade. The staff is very cheerful, kind and always within reach. The coffee arrived in 5 minutes, food arrived within 20 minutes. The quality and portions are more than fair, however, the food we had was a little dry, maybe we should have asked for more sauce, so dont let that stop you from trying their food. There was a board game available to play during your visit and the staff gave us cat treats that we were allowed to give the cats. The cats were very calm and lovable! So that was just a huge plus.

We've been to a few cat cafes, but we've never seen so few cats as here. The food was quite nice, but it was far too big, too lively, and far too many tables, so that the few cats spent the entire time lying on the walls and you could only look at them from below. The cat cafe in Bielefeld e.g. B. is much smaller, and the cats run around a lot more and are much more friendly. In another cat cafe there were only tables along the walls and the space in the middle was completely free with tunnels and toys for the cats and you could just sit with them. This 'cat temple' is apparently more about maximum profit, and as a restaurant it was quite nice, but you shouldn't call something like that a cat cafe, otherwise disappointment is inevitable.

I still have to munch my way through food. What I have observed is that the cats are treated very kindly by the staff and great care is taken to ensure that the guests do the same and adhere to the cat rules. This is also very important. The cats are all adorable😼😻😽 🥰 The coffee specialties ☕🥛🍯 are very tasty and cakes too. I will go there more often now. It's worth it 👍

I was there in the morning and watched a sleeping cat having breakfast. I enjoyed it very much. It slows you down and is good for the soul.

Nice cafe near the train station. What's special: 'Aristocats' in the café; i.e. some cats running around between the tables and on the ceiling or walls. No alcohol is served, but there are very tasty drinks to choose from, such as smoothies, shakes, coffee specialties and snacks.

Super nice staff and the atmosphere is also super nice! It's just a lot of fun, whether alone or with friends, to eat there, pet the cats and chat with your friends. It's also relatively easy to get a seat there during the week and you can get your food quickly. However, this could be a little difficult at the weekend and you might have to wait a little longer for the food. Which isn't a bad thing, since you only have to wait 10-15 minutes at most (depending on how full it is, otherwise just 5-10 minutes). The food comes to the table warm and deliciously prepared and you feel comfortable and full afterwards!<3

Unfortunately I had too many expectations. The food and drinks were very expensive and of mediocre quality. Cats were hardly present there. The service is nice but everything takes a long time. The ambience is very bland and resembles a canteen. We wouldn't go there again.

The ambience and service are ok, the cats are of course the highlight. To be honest, they are the only reason to visit the Cat Temple. Today we had, among other things: a normal cocoa and one with Christmas spices, both estimated to contain around 70% sugar. I only got halfway through my drink before unfortunately it became disgusting. It would be easy to reduce the sugar content and put a sugar dispenser on the table. And no, I have nothing against sugar, that's just by the way. The “balance” came from the fries, which were so salty that your tongue burned after 4-5 fries. Conclusion: I don't go there for the food or drinks. But I love cats ;-).

Yesterday I was with friends at the Cat Temple in Bochum. I would like to mention a few points of criticism here: The quality of the cocoa is subterranean. He almost falls over because of his paleness; he hasn't even seen Cocoa from far away. The hot drink consists almost entirely of sugar - including the winter version with spices. It's so sweet that you can hardly drink it because it starts to burn your tongue. This works much, much better. Who should put the sugar bombs in them? Do they want to compete with McDonalds? Why not leave it up to the guest to decide how sweet they want it? Everything is vegan and healthy, and then this - bad instant goods that you can get in better quality in every supermarket. I would have liked to have another decaffeinated coffee, but the waitress told me that you could only have it Instant coffee would have. ??? In a cafe? Instant coffee? It doesn't work at all. (And certainly not when it comes to the prices: the winter spiced chocolate, normal coffee mug size for 5.40 euros.) Well, the French fries were almost too salty. The peppermint tea was so limp and meaningless - from the bag, the Darjeeling had seen better days - I think it's due to the storage, when nothing comes out of tea bags that can be called taste/aroma. You can ruin even the best tea if you always leave the container open and the aromas evaporate or the product is out of date. This is what happens when you don't train your employees properly. Yes, all temporary workers, I understand, but a little knowledge of the goods for the good of everyone would be urgently needed. Then the lovable cats couldn't get it out. Not a place where I would want to spend money on bad goods again. And I don't really care whether donations are made to any NGOs in Colombia. They claim to only use high quality herbal ingredients. I can't confirm. High quality looks different and tastes different too.

The location is in the middle of the city, so it's perfect to combine with a day of shopping. The café/restaurant is also nice and the staff are lovely. My girlfriend and I went here for lunch and I didn't know if I would like it with all the cats. In the end I have to say that it's really funny to watch the cats running around and interacting. Food was very tasty. I tried the temple sandwich and although it was vegan chicken, it tasted very good. Service was great and helpful. It was a bit cold inside, but otherwise recommended

I guess I just expected too much. I've wanted to visit the Cat Temple for ages but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. It's all vegan, which I think is great. We ordered a gingerbread latte for €5.50 and it actually just seemed like a bit of cinnamon. The fries were quite tasty. Overall, the food and drinks are very expensive. The atmosphere is very uncomfortable and not nicely done. You hardly saw the cats, which wasn't a bad thing at all because it was very crowded. The service was okay but it took a long time until we could pay. I wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

The cat temple was a highlight for me. It was really nice there. We were there in the morning so the cats were still a bit sleepy. We were served very nicely and everything went quickly. The food was super tasty, but a bit expensive, but understandable since the cats also have to be financed. Overall, definitely a recommendation.

Was here for the first time today and found it very pleasant. Unfortunately the cats were just in rest mode, but they are live animals and not entertainers for us. We saw Ömmes' tail hanging out of the basket, and Scholli came to our table once. Animals appear relaxed, are well cared for and the restaurant is clean. It doesn't smell like a cat, the animals have endless climbing opportunities and a hatch where they can escape into a room where guests are not allowed. So no animal is stressed, they come voluntarily. The food, vegan, was very tasty, the service was friendly and accommodating. All in all nice, but you should make a reservation as it is busy. And don't be sad when the cats are sleeping. Then you just have to go again. 😉

Wir waren schon oft im Bochumer Katzentempel, was immer wir gegessen haben, wer immer uns serviert und beschnurrt hat: Alles rundum lecker. Auch das Texterinnenherz freut sich über eure Einfälle für Katzen- und Essensnamen! Und dann auch noch vegan ... Viel Freude und Erfolg weiterhin und jede Menge lieber Gäste! PS - hier muss man was auswählen, unsere Besuche hatten schon viele Anlässe, Tageszeiten und menschliche Zusammenstellungen ;-)

I have been here several times. The last time was somewhat disappointing because an employee was unfriendly and removed a cat from the table, even though the animal was clearly feeling good and wasn't sleeping or anything. Other staff are friendlier and will let you feed the cats etc. Food and drinks are fine
