If you're looking for a rustic atmosphere, this is the right place for you. The food is very tasty and the restaurant is well attended. It's worth coming here in summer because the beer garden is unique. Something like this only exists once in Reutlingen

Nice place to have a drink with friends, friendly service.

Had the lumberjack steak (pork) and it was cooked well done, the meat was dry and difficult to eat without the sauce. However the price is cheap so I shouldn’t complain. The French fries are good at least. I also try out the cola wheat beer and I have to say it is unique but I do not recommend to people who enjoy beer a lot hahahaha :)

We visited Karz looking for a Swabian restaurant with regional dishes. From the outside, the Karz has a rather rustic impression, which is underlined by the large beer garden. The interior design can also be described as rather rustic. We arrived with nine people, including three small children - not necessarily the easiest guests in terms of space and noise. However, the restaurant was prepared for everything and had enough children's chairs and painting supplies. But the real surprise came with the food. The onion roast and the pulled pork were fantastic! The homemade spaetzle with the Trollinger sauce rounded the whole thing off perfectly. The whole festival was available at a reasonable price. The service was very friendly and very quick. We'll be back!

Always nice to sit under the chestnuts

Probably one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the region and with the best food on offer. Unfortunately, there are few parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

Great service, good food and a very nice location. The beer garden is particularly impressive. Great play area with slide, sandpit and more for children...

So no, that was nothing. Lumberjack steak with fries, tiny portion that could have passed for a children's plate at most. Matjes fillet with potatoes, completely tasteless, far too little sauce, so you had to eat most of the portion dry. Speci watery, the syrup probably ran out and the second elderberry spritzer that I ordered simply no longer had any elderflower syrup in it, just sparkling water. In addition, the menu has been significantly reduced. Where once you could turn a lot of pages, there is now only a single page. Waiting almost 40 minutes for food that doesn't even taste good is kind of pointless. I really felt pretty ripped off and will definitely not eat here again.

Unfortunately, hot food is now only available from 5:30 p.m. due to a lack of staff. It's a shame when the weather is nice that there isn't always something to eat.

Last night we spontaneously went to the beer garden in Karz again. After the service staff initially disagreed, a waiter said we should wait a moment and he would look for a table, then a waitress came and said we should just walk through and look for a free table. We were served quickly and the food came quickly too. However, when it came to the side salad, I was very disappointed. When we were there in May, I told the waitress it would be nice if there was a small amount of potato salad. This is standard everywhere today and at the proud price of 5.60 for a small plate of salad, it's not asking too much. She said I wasn't the first to complain about this, it had been forwarded to the kitchen several times, but it was always rejected or vehemently rejected. At least the rest of the salad was fresh back then. Today, of course, no potato salad again, and the remaining salad, ootish leaf lettuce from a bag, carrots and cabbage, apparently all bucket goods, the green one completely limp and soft. So for this high price of 5.60 you can expect more. Attached is a picture from May and yesterday.

The food is okay, but actually a disgrace in terms of price-performance ratio. Even at today's prices.

Arrived today at 11:45 am. We were guests 4 and 5. Waiting time for food to arrive was 20 minutes. How long will it take once the store is full? Daily recommendation ordered: pasta with cream pesto, cherry tomatoes and green salad. 4 cherry tomato halves were found in a large portion of pasta. Green lettuce with lots of brown spots, so it's definitely no longer fresh. I certainly can't make a recommendation for this, except that there are alternatives.

This happened during our visit today... The food and service from the young man who served us throughout the evening was excellent. When we wanted to pay, the unpleasant part began. - We expressed our desire to pay three times, which took a total of about 15 minutes. Nothing happened. We then asked a young waitress again to collect. Which she did very reluctantly and annoyed. Our table was apparently not their responsibility and work seemed to be frustrating for them today. The fact that she “threw” the card reader over the table was one thing, and that she then became cheeky and arrogant towards us was another. As a result, what had been a lovely evening came to a very annoying end.

Unfortunately we had to wait 20 minutes for our drink.

I've had better and cheaper daily meals there.

Great atmosphere outside in the garden under the chestnut trees. A small sandpit, toys and a small slide keep even four-year-olds happy until the food comes :). Super nice staff and the food was very, very tasty. Cheese spaetzle and onion roast were perfect :) again and again gladly

It is a typical German restaurant with traditional dishes from the Swabian region. They have delicious locally brewed beer and a nice beer garden to enjoy the summer season.

We came here with the intention of having vespers. For me, my Swiss WUSA. As you can clearly see in the pictures, my WUSA was significantly smaller given how hungry I was. Other than that, he was pretty good. A wonderful place in the garden under the chestnut trees. and a very nice, friendly and humorous service rounded off the visit.

Cozy restaurant with a beautiful beer garden and inexpensive daily meals!

We went to Karz with our Scottish relatives to introduce them to a good German Schnitzel and were not disappointed. The Scots were delighted with very tasty schnitzel with potato salad, steakhouse fries and even additional cucumber and potato salad from the very nice Ober Aykut. A special thank you to the charming, very dedicated waiter Aykut and of course the chef!

Last week we went to Karz for a birthday dinner for a long time. I know that the operator changed some time ago, and this was our first time since then. Maybe in advance, the service was very good and attentive all around! Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. One out of four dishes was as good as cold. In two other dishes the meat was completely dry and actually inedible. Then there is food on the menu that contains different ingredients than described... The cheese spaetzle should actually be called "cream spaetzle". The best meal was the side salad 😅 overall we were unfortunately more disappointed than satisfied. The two points are actually only for service.

Wieder einmal haben wir es versucht, dort Abend zu essen. Einfaches Gericht: Wurstsalat und Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat. Der Wurstsalat war absolut schlecht gewürzt. Das Schnitzel wurde sicher fertig gekauft und dann nur in der Fritteuse warm gemacht - komplett ungewürzt. Der Kartoffelsalat war ebenfalls nicht gut. Die Hälfte haben wir liegen gelassen. Im Karz hängt es immer davon ab „Wer“ kocht deshalb immer wieder unterschiedliche Qualität des Essens.

Gute Portionen, richtig lecker!

Super leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal

Eine schöne Gaststätte mit einem großen, gemütlichen Biergarten der unter Kastanienbäumen zum Verweilen einlädt. Trotz viel Betrieb sind die Wartezeiten für's bedienen in einem erträglichen Rahmen, und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wer allerdings wirklich gut essen will, ist hier sicher nicht optimal aufgehoben

Schöner Biergarten und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Ich war zu einem Geschäftsessen abends im Biergarten verabredet. Ich war überrascht wie gut besucht das Restaurant doch unter der Woche ist. Wir hatten einen gemütlichen Platz unter einem Baum. Auch wenn das Restaurant an einer etwas größeren Straße liegt, hört man doch die Autogeräusche fast nicht. Wir hatten eine sehr freundliche Bedienung, jedoch waren die Angestellten etwas im Stress da alle Tische sehr voll waren. Gut bürgerliches Essen aber leider nur durchschnittlich allerdings zu angemessenen Preisen.

Schönes Ambiente. Essen geschmacklich an sich gut. Wir haben nach der Bestellung mit unseren Kindern aber leider sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet. Während dieser Zeit kam die Bedienung nicht mehr vorbei. Das Essen kam dann nach mehr als 1 Stunde lauwarm.

Man sitzt schön im Freien unter Kastanien Bäumen, leckeres Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Kommen immer gerne wieder.

Im Sommer auch ein sehr schöner Biergarten.

sehr schöner Biergarten, wenngleich direkt an der Straße, schön schattig unter den Kastanien, Essen sehr gut, Auswahl passt für einen Biergarten, preislich auch in Ordnung. Lediglich auf etwas Wartezeit muss man sich einstellen wenn mal wieder viel los ist.

Nach längerer Zeit mal wieder im Karz zum Essen: Rostbratwürste kamen nach 30 min. eiskalt an den Tisch, waren total geschmacklos, dazu eine unpassende 0815 Bratensoße und Kartoffelsalat in Breikonsistenz. Das ganze für unverschämte 13,50€ Dafür gibts jetzt einen Paulaner Brunnen im Gastgarten, toll! Personal wie immer nett und aufmerksam.

Der Biergarten im Karz ist wunderschön. Der Service war schnell und sehr freundlich. Nur die Küche war überfordert. Auf meinen Schweinebraten musste ich 1 Stunde warten. Schön wäre es gewesen, wenn der Knödel selbst gemacht wäre. Lecker war er. Der Braten war ein Gedicht. Zart, geschmacklich toll. Das Sauerkraut war nicht meins. Da sind Geschmäcker verschieden.

Ich war mittlerweile mehrfach im Karz und kann es nur empfehlen. Der Service ist klasse, vor allem sehr freundlich, was mir persönlich sehr wichtig ist. Das Essen hat uns super geschmeckt und die Getränke erst Recht :-). Wir werden da mit Sicherheit noch öfter unseren Mädelsabend begehen, gerade jetzt im Sommer. Der Biergarten ist toll. Und auch Hunde sind dort willkommen und bekommen einen Napf Wasser kostenlos an den Tisch gebracht.

Ein nach wie vor schöner Biergarten und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen ist allerdings nicht zu empfehlen. Das Goulasch war total zerkocht und die Knödel matschig. Der Wurstsalat hat ebenfalls viel Luft nach oben
