As a good eater, I have to say it was delicious and left me full. That's how it should be. Everything was fresh, taste was very good, right after the bunker. Highly recommended

The selection is very large but the fried fish baguette in terms of value for money plus taste is simply perfect before an away win for your favorite football club. Of course it's always very full on match days.

It's a nice place, but the fish was not as tasty as we expected. It can be much more delicious if cooked in butter. It is quite difficult to find a place. You have to be willing to wait for a long time, especially during busy hours.

Nice little shop opposite the bunker. We wanted to have a quick fish sandwich before the football game and we weren't disappointed. Super fast service and the fried fish roll was very good. Lemon included, fresh vegetables and delicious fish. Definitely a recommendation.

Toll, dass Karo Fisch nach Umbau wieder auf hat! Das kleine Fischrestaurant, das eher ein Fischimbiss oder Bistro ist, ist wirklich ein gastronomisches Kleinod! Zu Preisen, die weit unter denen der guten Fischrestaurants liegen, bekommt man aber eine Frische und Qualität, die mit den besten Fischrestaurants mithalten kann. Kein Wunder, dass man manchmal auf einen Tisch warten muss. Es gibt zahlreiche Fischsorten, jeweils mit einem leckeren Salat, Grillgemüse, Bratksrtoffeln oder Grillkartoffeln, drei Dips und Kräuter-Knoblauchbrot. Der Service ist schnell und sehr freundlich. Eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

If you want to eat delicious fish, this is the right place for you. The tables are close together and you have the feeling of sitting in a market hall. Not recommended for a romantic dinner more for great hunger on fish!

We live in Bremen, on 27.12.2024, we went with my sister, my nephews, their wives and children from Frankfurt, upon recommendation, the flavors, our taste buds & the service were excellent, the portions satisfied us all, we were very pleased, it was simply amazing, we returned very satisfied. The fish is so fresh and the preparation is delightful. Good portions too. Good location, service and since it's a Turkish establishment, they serve Turkish coffee that is not on the menu and is as perfect as the meal and believe me you will need it after eating all of it, like I did! Ate there because of the many positive reviews. Fish soup and fried fish with fried potatoes. Service is very good and friendly, ambience is just a matter of taste, it wasn't for me. The fish soup was very good, Great taste and really great fish and vegetable addition. The fried fish, however, was industrially pre-prepared and tasteless and the fried potatoes had as much to do with fried potatoes as a car has to do with a sailing ship. Soggy, not a bit crispy, no flavor. But you could tell from the taste that it was potatoes. For me, this was the most tasteless fried fish menu in Hamburg. Simple decoration, delicious food, and enthusiastic service, but the smell of oil smoke is a bit strong.

This is not a place where you can sit and relax. You have 10 minutes for everything, and then the waiters stand over you like black crows, hinting that it's time to go. The last visit is completely horrible....I am still sitting with a fork and eating the ordered dish, when the waiter comes and starts cleaning everything from the table, while taking the plate with food from under my nose🤦‍♀️ Turning to the senior with a remark and at least some explanation, I only got the answer: what was he supposed to do, we have people waiting.... At the same time, this attitude was not only to our table, but also to the neighboring ones!!!! You shouldn't go there with children at all, otherwise they have to sit like statues, not move, not talk and not go to the toilet And what is most terrible, here you are treated depending on which country you came from... I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!!! This is HORROR

I can't quite understand the hype for this place. Of course I liked eating there because of the reviews; I love good fish dishes. But I don't quite find that here. The fried potatoes I chose were ok. And the fish was unfortunately too fatty and simply fried to death. In fact, I have to agree with another customer: more of a Turkish-style fish snack bar. It was a worthwhile experience for me. And everyone has different requirements.

Great place to eat fish. Everything is so fresh. The best part is they compliment the fish/ seafood with seasonal vegetables all seasoned with fresh herbs and spices. Bonus is delicious Turkish coffee.

We came to Karo Fisch through a tip and I have to say: I have rarely eaten such delicious fish! Really great! The restaurant is very small and simply furnished. The focus here is on good, honest food that you can watch as it is being prepared. Nice and quick service, even gave us a raki on the house. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in Hamburg, I'm looking forward to it! :-)

I went two days in a row, the first day everything was excellent, the attention, the food and service in general... The dressings combine very well with the food (I loved the garlic one) but the second day was today and they didn't give me any dressing. garlic... Yesterday they gave me the choice of the type of potatoes I wanted and today they told me I couldn't change it (I even asked if he charged me extra and he told me that nothing could be changed and it was just the style of the potatoes), It seems strange to me that they have changed from one day to literally another... Today when I went there was a table available inside the establishment and they did not allow me to eat there and they made me sit at a table outside, it seems bad to me that if they have places available inside they would not allow me to take a table there... In general, I consider the establishment to be a suitable option to try typical dishes from the region.

Food absolutely fresh and delicious. Service a bit careless but I'm not looking for a boyfriend. Since it's opposite the new bunker there's always something interesting to observe.

We (family with 2 small children) discovered this place by chance after we were on the bunker opposite and actually wanted to drive to the jetties. Thank God we discovered Karo Fisch and were not disappointed. The fried fish was breaded very tasty and the somewhat succinct expression “fried fish in bread” is actually a very tasty baguette bread with fish and salad. The sauces are also very tasty. You can sit inside and, weather permitting, outside. The service was quick and very friendly and our son even received two lollies as a farewell gift. In our opinion, value for money is top notch. In comparison, you are processed at the jetties and what you get looks sad or pitiful (my personal impression). So thumbs up and clear recommendation for Karo Fisch with a great view of the bunker.

We ended up at Karo Fisch by chance after visiting the Green Bunker. It was busy around 6:30 p.m. and we were immediately offered a table inside or outside in a very friendly manner. We decided to go outside and it was actually comfortable - view of the bunker, relaxed pedestrians, subtle street noise. We ordered a fish mix for €19.90 (5 types of grilled fish, grilled vegetables and chips aka fried potato slices) and fried fish in a roll for €8.90. But first you get a small salad, 3 dips (type tartar sauce, cocktail and garlic sauce), bread with something similar to pesto. We hadn't expected that and although we weren't hungry, it was a successful start with the nice service! The pieces of fish along with the side dishes looked a bit lost on the large plate at first, but eat up first! Very tasty, grilled to perfection and only 3 bones. The fried fish in bread was a lavish roll: soft white bread baguette, fried fish, lettuce, onions, sauce. Unfortunately the little fish goes under a bit. It still tasted pretty good, but I would choose something different with the fish next time. For example, testing the difference between grilled and fried potatoes compared to chips. There are no classic fries. All in all a great visit and clear recommendation. (There are kebabs etc. right next door if you don't have fish to accompany you.)

While the taste was decent, I got surprised by the final cost when my meal was put on the bill as "Diverse Fish" for 45 Euros. All dishes on the menu are around 20 Euros, so I assumed that the fish they suggested to me when I asked would be around the same price. Boy, was I wrong! It's sad and unfortunate that they follow such bad service practices. Please make sure to stick to the menu or inquire the exact price for what you order to avoid such a scam.

You'll definitely be full! The fried potatoes are rather mushy and tossed in a strange seasoning mixture; The fish is dry, well-cooked and extremely crispy with lots of roasted aromas. The service is nice.

This is what a fish snack should be like. Had meatball and fish & chips, both excellent. The fried potatoes in particular were really good and it was worth it for that alone. Seating is limited and tight, but it is a snack bar and not a restaurant.

Karo Fisch gets a deserved 5 stars. Fresh fish, good service, friendly staff and a nice portion. Ate there twice in Hamburg in 4 days. There are heaters outside, so you can still sit comfortably outside at the beginning of autumn and cool temperatures. Maybe call ahead to reserve a table, otherwise the guys at Karo Fisch will be able to accommodate you at short notice. The location right next to the Millerntor stadium is of course also “bomb”

Ich benötigte eine Toilette und fragte im Lokal ob ich diese nutzen dürfte, was bejaht wurde und legte einen Euro auf den Tresen. Die Annahme des Euros wurde verweigert. Das Lokal / Toilette machte einen sehr sauberen Eindruck. Nachdem wir den gegen- über liegenden Bunker besucht hatten, gingen wir zum Essen in das Lokal. Meine Frau bestellte Lengfisch, dazu gab es Salat und Knoblauchbrot, ich verzehrte eine Fisch-suppe. Der geforderte Preis war für die sehr gute Qualität als niedrig zu einzustufen. Wir wurden, trotz vieler Kunden sehr schnell und gut bedient. Die Mannschaft arbeitet Hand in Hand und man den Eindruck, dass es sich um eine Familie handelt, was aber nicht der Fall ist. Ich hatte an diesem Standort nicht mit einem so guten Restaurant gerechnet.

Salmon through, potatoes fresh but not cooked enough. Vegetables borderline to overcooked. Nice to have been there. There are better addresses.

We paid 66€ for two sea bass, one portion of anchovies and two waters. Prices are too expensive for the quality of the place and the shabby place. The price of anchovy was not written on the menu. However, I was shocked when I saw that they wrote 18 € for the price of anchovies. Also, although the price of Sea Bass was written as 19 € on the menu, they charged me 21 €. I do not recommend.
