Went for a goose meal today with both sons (barn thresher!). Simply sensational!!!!!!

We were here again today to enjoy spare ribs!! Absolutely TOP! Really good, buttery and super soft!! Can you eat with a spoon!! Marinade great!! There were also very good side dishes, but the spare ribs were the highlight! 5-star spare ribs in beautiful Kettwig!! Every last Thursday in M onat!! And: All you can eat!! Finally a great price-performance ratio!! A must-eat at Bernd im Karl's!!

A few weeks ago I celebrated my 50th at Karl.s. An evening that couldn't have been better or more beautiful. (almost 30 people) 1. Great and uncomplicated coordination in advance. In my opinion very fair price 2. Very nice location and furnishings. Cohesive atmosphere. 3. Incredibly good service - super attentive and super friendly -> always a full glass! 4. Flying buffet with 8 different delicacies was great! Really tasty and great variety I would do it exactly the same way again at any time! Many thanks to Bernd and his team. Alexander

We celebrated our wedding at Karls and had an incredibly beautiful day. The food was great, the service was perfect and our guests were more than thrilled.

We had an unforgettable day at Karl’s! In advance we discussed the details for our party with the owner, who was very accommodating, uncomplicated and came up with good ideas! In addition to the cozy location, there was a “flying buffet” for the party guests - everyone was impressed by the food, and there was also something for the children. The staff was on the ball, very attentive and extremely friendly! Can only warmly recommend it 🎉

This is a nice little shop. Very cozy atmosphere right in Kettwig's old town, a super friendly and communicative host who also cooks extremely tasty food. There are always no tickets at all, but what is offered is super tasty and of a high standard. There is also an excellent wine list here. And here too the small suggestion for improvement. Something more vegetarian or vegan on the menu would be fantastic. Thanks ;-)

Great little restaurant… great service and delicious food. The boss, Bernd Sprenger, came to our table and we had a nice chat about this (menu) and that (history of the restaurant, etc.). There were four of us there and we all really enjoyed it. Two of us are repeat offenders ;-) We will definitely go here again and in a timely manner. Due to the limited number of seats and special opening times, be sure to reserve a table. Also ideal for events (family, company or club celebrations). Give it a try!

We finally went to Karl's again. It was nice again. Delicious food and a warm welcome. What more could you want? We are already looking forward to the next time and would be happy to recommend it! But pay attention to the opening times!

I celebrated my 30th birthday here in September 2023 with around 30 people and it was just great! The food was delicious, the service couldn't have been better and all the guests were happy about the great location during and after the event and were more than thrilled. Only recommended!

I went to the sausage course at Karl's today...what can I say? Bernd the boss explained sausages to us very well, he is very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is great, small and elegant, has a kind of feel-good effect, the sausage recipes are really good, of course there are no limits to the creations, the sausage is made in-house Prepared with joy by Bernd and you can try the results straight away. It was a very nice evening, I'm looking forward to the next course. My conclusion... Top restaurant, top restaurateur, top course, definitely worth a visit. 👍 Bernd, your gastronomy is worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Kind regards, Irini

Yesterday (every last Thursday of the month) was rib evening at Karl.s Like eating kale in December, highly recommended. The ribs were served with potatoes (with dip) and homemade coleslaw salad. Service was very good as always.

Always everything fresh and delicious. Great wines and decent draft beer. The boss cooks himself and produces the Kettwiger Jungs (bratwurst) from Ruhrtalschwein.

Donnerstag‘s jetzt immer Spareribs soviel Du magst. Sehr empfehlenswert mit toller Marinade, Kartoffeln und selbst-gemachten Krautsalat. Wie alles im Karl‘s einfach lecker. Service auch wie gehabt Top. Place to be.

Sonntag ganz spontan rein und schon waren wir mitten in Italien. Gute Weine und eine kleines Essen, überhaupt kein Problem. Ich freu mich schon auf den Sommer, wenn Dienstags und Mittwochs für die Spontanen Gäste wieder Platz ist. Ich kann mir auch sehr gut vorstellen dort meinen nächsten Geburtstag dort zu feiern. Danke, für den tollen Abend.

Gestern dort zur Hochzeitsfeier gewesen. Es war hervorragend, es war lecker und der Service spitze. Zu empfehlen klein und fein 👌👌

Wir haben einen Geburtstag mit 15 Personen im Karl.s gefeiert und ich muss sagen, dass es schöner hätte nicht sein können! Nicht nur die Location an sich begeisterte all' unsere Gäste, sondern auch die unheimlich freundliche Bedienung, die hervorragende Weinauswahl (welche wir natürlich vorher Verköstigen durften) sowie die Unbeschwertheit. Ich kann wirklich nur jedem empfehlen, hier einmal vorbei zu schauen!

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit einer guten Küche, freundliche Bedienung und einer tollen Atmosphäre. Aber, leider nur Mittwochs geöffnet - daher der fehlende Stern.

Mal was neues. Abwechselnde selbstgemachte Wurstkreationen oder Gerichte und Snacks, die man so noch nicht gesehen hat. Netter aufmerksamer Service.

Heute gab es im Karl.s eine Challenge zwischen dem Inhaber Bernd und einem ambitionierten Hobbykoch namens Lotar. Die beiden haben verschiede Pasta Gerichte gekocht und am Ende wurde jedes der Gerichte von einigen Gästen bewertet. Das Essen hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt und, weil jede Portion nur 5€ gekostet hat konnte man alles ausprobieren. Neben dem leckeren Essen herrschte noch eine ganz besondere Stimmung bei der man viele nette Menschen kennengelernt hat und man eine tolle Zeit hatte! Für die Zukunft wünsche ich mir noch ein Dessert auf der Karte und die Möglichkeit draußen zu essen.

Es war heute ein sehr entspannter und netter Abend im Karl’s. Die Pasta von Chef Bernd und Hobbykoch Lothar war hervorragend. Der Besuch hat sich absolut gelohnt.

Ich war heute im Karls beim Wurstkurs für Einsteiger. Hat riesig Spaß gemacht seine eigene Wurst zu machen. Geschmeckt hat sie auch noch;). Freue mich gleich mit Freunden meine eigene Wurst zu grillen. Lokation und Gastgeber kann ich nur empfehlen. Werde wiederkommen…

Besser geht’s nicht. Exzellentes Essen mit Stil serviert, dazu perfekt passende Weine. Sehr kompetentes und freundliches Personal. Ich verneige mich vor der Kochkunst des Chefs, der auf dem Boden geblieben ist.

Eventlocation, die jeden Mittwoch für alle geöffnet hat. Der Spargel in der Pasta war auf den Punkt gegart, die Soße mit Zitronentouch grandios. Ausgesuchte Weine, nette Stimmung!
