Kannenkeller in Lauingen (Donau)

We booked this hotel in conjunction with a visit to LEGOLAND. We haven't regretted booking this experience! The hotel impressed us across the board. After receiving a very warm welcome, we were very impressed by the design of the entrance hall, which retained some elements of the original building and even offered a view down through a pane of glass, which was very exciting for the children. We also really liked our room. However, after a while, we realized we had been booked into the wrong room. However, this situation was handled very professionally. We were out and about, and I received a call from reception. As an apology for the mistake, we received an upgrade to a suite, which we were very happy about. Overall, the rooms are modern and tastefully furnished and equipped; nothing was missing. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. We enjoyed the extensive buffet twice, which offered a wide fresh selection and was replenished very regularly. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the winter garden, from where you have a very nice view. Overall, we can definitely recommend the hotel. It offers excellent value for money. We would be happy to return!

Nice accommodation with friendly staff.

We stayed at the Hotel Kannenkeller three times. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and there was a lot of choice for breakfast. I can always recommend it.

I've been coming back to the Kannenkeller for many years. I usually stay overnight here for business, and I get exactly what I need: a clean, quiet room, and a good breakfast in the morning. It's a shame the restaurant is no longer open in the evenings. After the renovation, it's very nice, the view is magnificent, and it would be really nice to spend some time here after work.

Everything was perfect for this hotel 20 minutes from LEGOLAND

We stayed at this hotel during our visit to Legoland. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, as are the rooms. The hotel also offers free on-site parking. The breakfast is rich and varied, with a wide selection of both sweet and savory options, and is served in a room with a splendid view. The lady who welcomed us speaks Italian, and I must say I was truly pleased! German is a beautiful language, but, alas, sometimes it's difficult to understand each other! The Danube River is nearby, offering a lovely walk, and the town has several places to eat for lunch and dinner. Legoland is about 25 km away, but that's not a problem at all, as it's all country road with no traffic and no traffic lights. If we ever have the opportunity, we'll definitely be back! Recommended!

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Beautiful view from the breakfast room with a foosball table for the kids. The hotel room was very clean. The double bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. We didn't hear anything from outside, even though the room was next to the street. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, breakfast was very good, and the breakfast room was especially nice. The room was a good size, but the fluffy carpet could be removed; air conditioning would have been especially helpful on hot days. Parking was a bit tight, but manageable. 5 stars nonetheless, as the aforementioned points weren't really a detraction for us.

Very good hotel and close to Legoland. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean. The bathroom was large and clean. The breakfast was extremely delicious. A great selection, and everything was constantly replenished. The service was excellent. We asked for a travel cot for a toddler and a late check-in at very short notice. Everything worked out quickly and perfectly. We will definitely book again next time.

We stayed at the Hotel Kannenkeller in conjunction with Legoland and Peppa Pig Park. Arrival and check-in were straightforward, and the young gentleman at the reception desk was very courteous and helpful. They provided a list of restaurant recommendations for dinner, which we found very helpful. We had a small but perfectly adequate room with an extra bed, which was completely newly renovated. The breakfast staff were also very friendly, and the breakfast buffet truly had something for everyone. There are two different juices, various teas and coffees, all kinds of spreads, both sweet and savory, rolls and fresh bread, yogurt, and much more. We definitely recommend the hotel.

We always associate it with Lego Land, and the hotel is clean, with very good service. The breakfast buffet is delicious and has a good selection. We've been there three times already, and as always, it's top-top-top.

Top hotel, especially in conjunction with Legoland. The rooms are very well equipped. Breakfast has a HUGE selection. There's something for everyone. Plus, you get a beautiful view at breakfast.

Hello, We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, which can hardly be called a hotel. We were 2 adults and 3 children, the rooms were small and cramped, the bathroom was like a dog kennel, extremely small, maximum filth, cobwebs everywhere, towels were not changed daily, the radiators in the rooms did not work, only in the bathroom, we reported it several times, they did not really pay attention to us, even though we asked them to take into account that we were with children. The children's room was like a prison, 3 beds and that's it, without a table or something to put a water on, something. No fridge in the room to put a water, although the pictures even show an espresso machine, I did not find it :) What can I say about the breakfast, you had nothing to eat, 3 types of cold cuts, 2 vegetables and boiled eggs that's it. I think the pictures on the website are from when the hotel was probably new, the reality is very different I absolutely do not recommend it!!!!!

We booked this hotel through Legoland as is a partner hotel and it revealed as an excellent choice. Good quality-price balance, is a small hotel but quite nice. The location is great, apart from being a 30 min drive to Legoland in a not so busy road (even on a Sat), the city/village is nice, small but pitoresque. The Danube passes through and is surrounded by nature. Clean rooms. We were pleasently surprised by the breakfast, a lot of different choices and of good quality. The capuccino was very good. I rarely find a hotel with good capuccino 😀

We spontaneously called to inquire about an overnight stay, and our room key was stored with a code due to our late arrival. That was perfect. The breakfast was also really good, with a wide selection and fresh fruit. All in all, highly recommended!

Comfortable and very clean rooms, location about 20 minutes drive from Legoland in a small town with several choices for dinner and last but not least an excellent breakfast not entirely international but still the offer of products and the quality is excellent.

Sleeping with the window open was a bit noisy. Otherwise, the service was excellent. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was very good. The conservatory was lovely. The outdoor play area was a bit dated. The sandbox toys could have been replaced, as many were broken and damaged. Overall, we were very satisfied. I would like to highlight the beds. Very comfortable 👍🏻

The breakfast is excellent; there's a wide selection and something for everyone. Unfortunately, the mattress in room 5 is very worn, so you keep rolling into a dip. The bathroom is a bit small.

The breakfast was plentiful and the selection was enough to satisfy young and old alike. All concerns were taken care of immediately and superbly. We can happily recommend the hotel.

Rooms are tidy and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and you feel very comfortable even with your family for a short stay. The only negative thing is that you are a Legoland partner, there is a playground mentioned... This is very old, small and in our opinion unsafe... We would like something safe...

Hotel Kannenkeller is located at the entrance to Lauingen, coming from Dillingen, directly on the main road. The reception was very friendly. The rooms are modernly furnished, unfortunately there are no blinds or blackout curtains, so it is very bright in the room at night. The breakfast is rich with a self-service buffet including coffee. The view from the breakfast room is wonderful into the countryside towards the Danube. The negative thing for us was that unfortunately no scrambled eggs were offered and there were baked (?) pretty dry rolls and hard pretzels. Are there no fresh baked goods available on Mondays? The whole wheat bread, on the other hand, was very tasty.

A very nice, clean hotel with commendable staff. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything you need. When you check in, everything is explained very well and you get a card so you can come in at any time. The breakfast was amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely coming back.

The arrival was great, everything was explained to us in a friendly manner, including recommendations for where to eat. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the room. The room was very modernized. But the cleanliness was very inadequate. The bed sheet with stains, the bath mat unfortunately full of lint after unfolding it. Lots of cobwebs and dirt on both the floor and ceiling (bathroom) living/sleeping area. We didn't want to shower anymore. The curtains were no longer on the rails properly. And there were some children's hand prints on the wooden paneling on the bed and sofa, which wasn't great either. We booked this hotel in combination with a 2-day ticket to Legoland. A unique experience for us. We wouldn't want to stay there again. Unfortunately a lot of money for little cleanliness. :(

Spent one night in the hotel, early booker before 3 p.m., room card in the box. Worked quite well. Too many emails from the hotel, side note. Overall it was very quiet in the hotel, only the road leading out of town was very loud. The beds were comfortable, the blankets were too warm for the time of year (midsummer). You could certainly have asked for light blankets, but we didn't get to the hotel until midnight. The shower was small but overall everything was clean. Enough for one night. The breakfast offers something for every taste, standard selection, good quality goods, still, as in many hotels, too much disposable packaging. The cappuccino from the self-service machine is good, great foam. There are good types of tea. I think the selection of bread and rolls is sufficient. Fresh fruit, ripe and tasty in a good selection. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The reception is only open at times, and checking in and out online is no problem these days. The parking lot in front of the hotel doesn't make a good impression; it lacks a bit of cleanliness and inviting character. The ashtray was overflowing in the seating area. Overall a good price-performance ratio.

Unfortunately not up to standard. Price performance is not right. Staff very good but everything else is at the lowest level for this price. Outdoor area very unkempt. No glasses in the room, no information folder. Breakfast no warm portion. In the breakfast room plastic tulips on the tables in August. Reception not occupied on departure. Handed the money over to an employee without a receipt.

We booked here because we were visiting Peppa Pig Park with children and had a family room. A cozy car bed for the little one. Breakfast selection was sufficient, fresh and tasty. The reception area was super friendly including advice with suggestions for dinner. A new BBQ restaurant has opened 2 minutes walk (The Flame BBQ) which is highly recommended. Overall satisfied with the rooms, cleanliness and service.

After a strenuous day in Legoland you can relax well in the Kannenkeller. For dinner, the restaurants in the city center are within walking distance. There was some information about this when we checked in. The breakfast was rich. The staff at reception and at breakfast are very friendly. The room was as described and the parking lot is right next to the house.

Nice hotel, nice staff In principle there was nothing to complain about, definitely great on cooler days. Unfortunately we were unlucky and it was so abnormally hot, no air conditioning in the room... Right on the main street with the window open, very loud and one star less because there is no fridge in the room. Or cooling options. I think most of the visitors were there with children and therefore definitely visited Legoland. It was over 30 degrees and there was nowhere to keep your own drinks cold. A bottle of water for 5 people was available in the room. Definitely not enough. There is a vending machine with a sufficient selection of drinks downstairs.

A very good hotel, friendly staff. We were very happy with everything. After a fun day at Legoland, everyone slept soundly. I can recommend it to everyone.

We would receive a very friendly welcome. In addition to the room cards, we were given brief recommendations for dinner and other important information. The room was clean and spacious. Although there were a few guests there, you could hardly hear them. There was a wide selection for breakfast so everyone could find something. Even though the buffet area itself is small, there was nothing missing. It was constantly being refilled. Very nice view of the greenery for breakfast. The checkout could be done online, so we only had to hand in or insert our card.

Wonderful and friendly reception by the woman at the front desk. She gave us great tips on places to visit and restaurants to dine at. The rooms were nice and well-cleaned. The breakfast exceeded all our expectations. So many delicious items and beautiful presentations. We highly recommend the hotel.

Very dirty, spiders, bugs in the room. In the breakfast area there are a lot of spider webs, dead flies on the window sills and also on our table. We don't recommend it!

Very good breakfast. Friendly staff and a sparkling clean room. Uncomplicated check-in. Barrier-free access. Free parking directly at the hotel. If you like to sleep with the window open, you might be disturbed by the traffic on the street at night, but it depends on the location of the room. Should be clarified beforehand. Great view from the breakfast conservatory. The hotel is very easy to reach and offers every comfort for a short vacation. WiFi works without any problems. It's only a 5-minute walk to the beautiful city center on the Danube.

After a strenuous day in Legoland you can relax well in the Kannenkeller. You should also go to the banks of the Danube and take a look at the beautiful city center of Lauingen. For dinner, the restaurants in the city center or the beer garden are within walking distance. The breakfast was rich and varied and therefore a good basis for the second day in Legoland or the journey home. The staff at reception and at breakfast are very courteous and professional. The room was very clean and the parking lot is right in front of the house.
