You had to pay extra for sausages in potato soup, even though the price tag with the picture includes sausages. Moreover, the sausages tasted of nothing. The prices are far too high for what's on offer.

9.50€ for three chicken nuggets with fries is so outrageous, whoever pays that voluntarily has only themselves to blame

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at all. Prices are far too high, and the vehicles are in even worse condition, but now they want 2 euros for 5 minutes. The food is old and the portions are far too small for far too much money. Better go 200 meters further to the Penguin House.

In my opinion - significantly overpriced!

The snack itself is well done. Two activity options for small and older children. But the price-performance ratio is underground. Small portion for a lot of money and something must have been bad. Either the currywurst or old frying fat for the fries. A few hours after the visit, we all (2 adults, 2 children) had severe gastrointestinal problems. Not a nice experience. We don't eat there anymore!

The currywurst is a real disgrace in terms of quality. You could certainly charge €9 for a currywurst with fries, but then I wouldn't want a bockwurst from a jar with cheap, ready-made sauce. This is by far the worst currywurst in Dresden. Congratulations!

I was recently at the Dresden Zoo. The zoo is small and beautiful, but the snack bar made me feel sick afterward... I tried a currywurst with fries, a crepe, and semolina pudding. The currywurst with fries was a bit "bad"; the sausage wasn't cooked through, and the fries tasted stale. The crepe with cheese and ham was only minimally cooked. The cheese was okay, but the ham tasted odd. Only the semolina pudding scored well. Atmosphere: I don't expect much from a snack bar. Therefore, the wobbly beer benches were rated as okay. Value for money: Prices are high; I hope some of the proceeds go to the zoo; if not, everything is grossly overpriced. Service: You're at the wrong window; please go to the other one. Once you get to the window, you're asked what you want, and there's nothing more to say. When we mentioned the bad food, the only answer was: what can we do, we can't do magic.

Friendly and quick service but that was it. Completely exorbitant prices and really bad food. Definitely not recommended.

The prices are reasonable for a zoo, but the food isn't that good. I'd especially advise against the pasta.

Friendly staff, right by the playground and quite clean. Unfortunately the food was inedible and expensive. The “pasta sauce” is a blob of pureed tomatoes - please please buy a spice mix, that's embarrassing! Paying €8.50 for that really hurts. A medium-sized baked potato with quark €6, that's also borderline. Card payments starting at €15 are not up to date, but at least they can be achieved quickly given the prices. We won't be coming back.

We were here a year ago. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up, and the food doesn't taste as good as it did last time. You should definitely bring your own drinks. The solyanka didn't taste anything like it did a year ago, the currywurst was very poor for the price, and the fish sandwich was a joke... What a shame... Because there was no umbrella, it was very uncomfortable sitting outside. We will definitely not eat at the zoo again.

A chic and colorfully designed kangaroo snack bar, it should actually be very popular with families. Right next door is a playground and a children's go-kart track. Various dishes are advertised on large, colorful signs, and the selection isn't bad. Of course, it's simple snack food, not a 5-star restaurant. Everyone should be aware of that beforehand. I tried the solyanka and fish sandwich here, and it wasn't a hit, and the portions are small. It was just filling. It's not worth the price. The prices here have exceeded my pain threshold this year. I'm aware that purchasing and personnel costs have increased. But a 0.33 liter drink for over €4 is too expensive for a zoo. It's cheaper in the surrounding beer gardens. Especially in a zoo where there are lots of families with children, you think it's a bit cheaper to sell more. And given the quality of the food, the price is by no means justified. I can't understand why Dresden Zoo has such unattractive food and drink. It scares visitors away, but other places are fine. During the week, the zoo closes early or only opens when needed.

The children's cars now cost 2 euros instead of 1 euro per trip. Guys, this is for kids. Does it have to be that way? The cost of the parts can't have increased that much. This is just exploitation!

I had a negative experience at this restaurant. There are wasps flying everywhere near the refreshment area, which is right next to a children's playground. The large number of wasps is concerning. While I was waiting at the cash register for my food, a wasp flew under my dress and stung me three times. What if I had been allergic, or if they had stung a child? I am attaching photos as proof of the situation. The restaurant should seriously address this issue because it is a significant problem. The only positive aspect of this restaurant is the kind staff.

Food was not edible. Had pasta with tomato sauce and cheese. Cheese was moldy and the sauce was not edible. Prices are completely excessive.

The prices for cars have now risen to 2 euros. This is probably a joke. In general, the Dresden Zoo has to see where it stays. Take a trip to Görlitz. Much better concept.

The Viennese were inedible, the roll was also terrible. But there were enough takers at the table (ducks and sparrows)🤭

We visited the zoo in Dresden at the end of May. We were looking forward to lunch at the Kangaroo Stop. In our opinion, ham noodles for 8 euros were completely overpriced, dry and didn't taste good at all. The dollop of tomato sauce, another 1 euro, didn't make it any better. We skipped cheese (plus 1 euro of course). The food (10 euros in total) was not edible and ended up in the trash. A cup of apple spritzer 5 euros. Excellent ice cream in the Penguin Café made up for it.

Considering that you pay admission to the zoo and fork out 8 euros for a meat whip with fries, it was really poor, especially the curry sauce.

Unfortunately I was totally disappointed with the “ham” noodles. For 8 € pasta that was partly dry from the combi steamer and fried with oil. and a sauce that costs an additional 50 cents, which simply came onto the plate from a can (sorry, that's what it tasted like!) and then simply had no taste! You can expect more for the money. It's clear you're at the zoo etc. But that's a disgrace for €8! If you also compare the prices to the other dishes! Service was very friendly. But that's the only reason 3 stars. Zero stars for the food

A typical snack bar in a tourist attraction. Very expensive, rather unhealthy food, but still always full. It tasted pretty good, but you can clearly see the visit on your wallet.

Unfortunately the food was nothing. We had currywurst with fries. The sausage was in the water for far too long and was very soft and tasteless. The fries were mostly too hard. The prices were restaurant quality. Even if it was just a snack stand, it could be done much better.

Sorry, but the food is really the last thing. €4.00 for a currywurst that isn't even worth 10 cents. Shame on you.

We used train to the ZOO station but cannot enter the ZOO as they do not accept the credit card, only cash. Noone told us that we can buy eticket (we figured that out by ourselves) … ZOO closes 1830 but it is already empty at 1630 with all restaurants closed

The schnitzel was not solid chicken it was some grounded stuff. Full if Oil you coule squeeze it. Cheap Cola. Bring your water own food

This is not gourmet restaurant, or anything of the sort, but if you need good refreshments and something for moderate hunger, then by all means a nice place to spend a few moments at and grab a bite :)

Wir waren als Familie im Zoo und haben hier zu Mittag etwas gegessen. Fassen wir zusammen: 3x Pommes (Kinderportionsgröße), 2x Wiener Würstchen, 1x Chickennuggets (6 Stück), 1x kleine Schüssel Kartoffelsuppe, 1x Sprite und 1x Cola (hier fehlte auch noch rund 1/3 Inhalt)... das ganze für knapp 35 Euro. Dafür hat es wenigstens geschmeckt und das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Hatte Currywurst mit Pommes und dazu Eiskaffee. War soweit in Ordnung, Pommes waren etwas sehr salzig. Die Bedienung war freundlich und flott. Leider ist Kartenzahlung erst ab 15€ möglich, das ist nicht zeitgemäß.

Völlig überzogene Preise. Da habe ich in 3000 m Höhe in den Alpen schon günstiger und wesentlich besser gegessen. Die pommes sind matschig und gefühlt nur aus Resten. Schnitzel mit Pommes für 12 Euro ohne nix dazu ist einfach zuviel für einen Imbiss.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Einen Stern Abzug, da Kartenzahlung erst ab 15€ möglich ist.

Es ist sehr teuer, aber den Preis nicht wert... Habe mir Schnitzel mit Pommes für 9,80€ geholt und dieses Schnitzel war ungenießbar. Es schmeckte wie zusammengekehrte Reste.. Wir haben auch noch andere Speisen probiert, aber das einzig empfehlenswerte sind die Pommes!

Leider völlig überteuert. Die Currywurst mit Pommes für 6,80€ sind lediglich 7 Scheiben Wurst (ne halbe Currywurst?) und bisschen Pommes dazu. Geschmacklich war die Wurst und die Soße ganz in Ordnung, die Pommes leider teilweise zu matschig. Schade.
