Great food, great ambience and friendly service. We were very satisfied!!!

Coffee house in the middle of the city with regional cuisine, including Mediterranean cuisine. We ate asparagus, which was very tasty. Unfortunately the hollandaise was ready. In the sun you can sit by the fountain and watch the hustle and bustle of the street. Nice service.

The decor, music and ambience are overall very appealing. We each opted for the Schriesheimer breakfast for €8.90. There was also a pot of coffee for €6.60. The Schriesheim breakfast consisted of a roll with just enough butter and a mini bowl of normal jam, which was barely enough for a whole roll. If you like, you could have another egg for breakfast. There was no spread for the bread basket with baguette. That was it!! We canceled our breakfast reservation for the next morning and will definitely not visit this café again!!

First of all, I come from southern Bavaria and have known a little about Bavarian food, including Austrian desserts, for decades. Even in the Rhine-Neckar district you can get good Kaiserschmarrn if it is freshly prepared. But what I got here as Kaiserschmarrn is actually not allowed to be sold as Kaiserschmarrn. A firm consistency and cut into bars. With a 0.69 euro package of Kaiserschmarrn ready-made powder from Aldi, I get a better consistency and taste. If only I had taken a photo of this product, which was sold as Kaiserschmarrn.

No recommendation. Purchase price for a Gerolsteiner glass bottle 0.75 l less than 0.7 euros, sold for 7.50 euros, i.e. 1000% more. Side salad 7.90 euros, in many places for 4.90 or larger and better prepared. Schnitzel from the industrial package. Why was there so much hesitation in giving me an invoice when paying by card that I decided not to? Paid 17 euros too much, my fault for not specifically asking for and checking the invoice.

The whole store is full of staff, but everyone is overwhelmed. I work in the catering industry myself and it wasn't so busy that you had to wait that long for service. One person was responsible for recording, one for putting it out and one for collecting. I have no idea how they do it when everything here is really full.

Everything TOP. The breakfast selection is brilliant, large portions and really tasty. It's always nice to come here for breakfast in a classic coffee house atmosphere. The entire food and drinks menu is recommended. In summer with an outdoor area and cute shopping opportunities 😀

Great cafe with excellent food and service! We visit this coffeehouse regularly as our daughter studies in Heidelberg, and it is always a highlight. The food is delicious, fresh and prepared with love. The service is friendly and attentive, which immediately makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy – perfect for spending a relaxing time. Absolutely recommended!

We were there for breakfast... I find it very expensive... just baguette... 2 light small rolls... 1 very hard boiled egg... a little sausage, cheese and jam... some cereal with fruit, unfriendly hot drink... no juice and no whole grain rolls... it wasn't a shame so delicious and paid over 20 euros…

The food tastes like reheated frozen food for an absurdly high price. The “Mittendrin Café” of the Protestant parishes 100m away is better in all respects.

The food was nothing special and the curtains were covered in burn marks. The dsd staff wasn't particularly nice either, just rather grumpy, so I wouldn't spend €20 on breakfast, which isn't that special, if I could have it €15 cheaper at home

I had an American breakfast and my friend had a bacon cheeseburger. The staff was nice and the service was quick. I recommend trying the pancakes. Super fluffy and very tasty.

For over 20 years I have been a guest several times a year at different times and occasions, but what has been noticeable in the past few months is that the coffee house is virtually empty. The service today was virtually non-existent. 1 man at the bar and 1 man to serve, can't manage to serve customers properly. First you don't get a card, then nothing is cleared away and you ask whether you want something else or just show up. In order to pay, we had to come to the waiter ourselves. Sorry, you're surprised by the rumors about a possible closure, which honestly wasn't denied in the press. If it continues like this you may soon think about it, a visit will not be enjoyable. Service isn't even worth one star. Think about whether guests can be kept like this.

After an autumnal walk through the vineyards, the short visit to the coffee house was nice. Despite the fact that it was very busy here, we were immediately offered a small table. The young waitress was friendly, sometimes overwhelmed by the number of guests. Despite everything, everyone was very nice. The cakes looked delicious and tasted good too. We'd love to come back after a little run 😊

In short: the ambience and service are great - A1. The lighting is also beautifully adapted to the twilight. Not necessarily suitable for families/vegetarians/vegans. In detail: The menu, however, looked as if a meat fan had been persuaded to include one or two vegetarian dishes. We were there with kids who don't eat animals. In the “For the little ones” section there were only two dishes with meat. When we asked if we could get an alternative, we just said: "No special requests on the weekend." In the end we paid over 10 EUR (!) for a simple portion of dry spaetzle with butter for the little one. That didn't seem particularly child-friendly to us... - The “Plant Burger” basically consisted of burger buns and (admittedly delicious) grilled vegetables. However, something was missing: a sauce, the finesse... in short: the love. At over 16 euros for such a “burger” you can actually expect that. - Unfortunately the Kaiserschmarren weren't great for the price. - The cappuccino with oat milk was too weak (the mixing ratio was completely wrong. Too little coffee.) - the Greek salad was quite small for the price with four slices of garlic baguette taking up a lot of space on the plate. In short: The kitchen demands proud, modern prices but cannot even begin to deliver the level promised. 3 generous stars because of the good service and the ambience.

Das Frühstück war ok, die Bedienung sehr nett, aber mein Gutschein wurde nicht mehr angenommen, da er etwas über zwei Jahre alt war. Sowas ist gar nicht rechtens und müsste mal kontrolliert werden. Fühle mich richtig betrogen, das darf man gar nicht.

I was very disappointed. Despite the high price, there wasn't even a warm drink (coffee, etc.) included with the breakfast menu. The plate with sausage, butter and jam wasn't very lavish either. Everything very economical. The breakfast egg was hard-boiled and the bread basket lived up to its cute name “basket”. There was really very little bread or rolls in it. Even bakery chains like Görtz have more to offer for the money. The bad-tempered, gloomy-looking "Boss ???" behind the counter put a crown on the whole thing at the end. The beautiful ambience in the middle of the old town would have deserved a little more... It's a shame... it's a shame... it's a shame

Delicious food, diverse selection

We were invited to a champagne reception. The canapés were more like half a loaf of bread, but the friendliness of the staff can still be improved. However, the space under the trees with the fountain in the middle is very nice.

Nice atmosphere but completely overpriced. 9€ for 2 coffees and 10.20€ for an omelette with 2 eggs. It's really not worth it.

I can't agree that the price is justified by the quality or quantity. On the contrary, what you get for the prices is outrageous. Small Schriesheimer breakfast 9.80 EUR. Consisting of an egg, some jam and a little butter. Some fruit and vegetables for decoration. Coffee not included. Tomato Mozzarella 10.00 EUR. Nothing special in terms of taste. The only good thing is the ambience.

We had breakfast, the food was okay, but nothing more. Rolls were not crispy, just a type of jam. The price is too high for that.

We were there for the first time, didn't have a reservation (Sunday morning) and despite the full house we got a nice little spot! The café was excellent, the staff were cheerful and friendly and everything that was served breakfast, cakes and food looked delicious! We'll definitely come back and be hungry too ;-)

Top breakfast, which definitely justifies the price. Very cozy atmosphere right by the fountain. Both sun and shade areas available. Friendly service that lets you work in peace afterwards and doesn't keep asking for another order. Were here for a total of 4 hours.

Coffee and cappuccino are okay in terms of price, but the amount of ground coffee is apparently reduced to a minimum - very thin broth... Cake okay.

Sehr gemütlich, nicht zu laut, das Essen keine Offenbarung, aber ordentlich. Unsere Bedienung (es gibt offenbar zwei oder drei) hält es leider für nötig, den Gästen in die Augen zu sehen, wirkt permanent extrem gelangweilt und bedankt sich nicht einmal für stattliches Trinkgeld und wenn man mit Karte bezahlen möchte, kommt nur ein genervtes „vorne an der Kasse!“ Eine zweite Servicekraft war dagegen aufgeweckt und freundlich. Wir waren jetzt einige Male dort, leider bleibt dieser Eindruck bestehen und wir gehen nur „im Notfall“ hin.

Nice location. A little old, but otherwise a very nice atmosphere in beautiful Schriesheim. We had breakfast there. The food is okay. The coffee for a coffee house is rather low level. In the coffee house I expect barista coffee and a little finesse and not one drawn from a machine where you have to wait 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the service was only mediocre. Kind. But unfortunately a little uncoordinated and short. There was a lot going on though. But the number of waiters was okay. The team doesn't seem to have been working together for long.

Wir waren am Sonntag 14 Uhr dort… spontan mit den Rädern. Volles Haus, trotzdem schneller und sehr netter Service! Der Kaffee war ein Gedicht und der Kuchen der Hammer!!! Johannisbeere-Baiser… das Baiser perfekte 5 cm hoch! Meeeega

Letzte Samstag habe ich mit mein Mann einen amerikanischen Frühstück bestellt. Das war sehr gut und die Pancake war super! Sie haben auch lacktose frei Milch, und das ist für mich wichtig. Aggiornamento: Oramai una tappa fissa per noi, solo per un caffè, o per un dolce, più spesso per pranzo nel weekend se non abbiamo voglia di prendere l'auto! È un locale perfetto anche per i gruppi indecisi! qui ognuno può prendere quel che gli pare a qualunque ora: solo una birra, un caffè, uno spuntino un dolce o un piatto unico per pranzo. Ci sono sempre dei piatti del giorno (che variano in realtà ogni settimana) per chi ha oramai provato tutto il menù e ha voglia di variare. Atmosfera accogliente e più raffinata all'interno e super sportiva all'esterno, dove tanti ciclisti si fermano nelle belle giornate soprattutto.

Eher durch Zufall auf der Durchfahrt hier halt gemacht. Absolut empfehlenswert, leckeres Essen, freundlicher und professioneller Service. Ganz toll!

Excessive prices for standard drinks and food.

Wir haben draußen gesessen auf einer schön mit Blumen geschmückten Terrasse.Abendessen und Frühstück waren sehr gut. Die Bedienung trotz voller Tische sehr nett und flott.

Zum draußen sitzen ganz schön, innen mittlerweile ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Essen war Ok, aber auch nicht mehr als das. Der Service war freundlich, brachte uns aber falsche Getränke und war nicht ganz so aufmerksam.

Abends super lecker gegessen, das Frühstück war der Hammer und schnelles und sehr freundliches Personal. Top mit 5 Sternen

ich fand’s super klasse, das Essen kam schnell was auch sehr gut geschmeckt hat, genau wie die hausgemachte Limonade, das Team hat Spaß bei der Arbeit was man merkt, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Ich kann’s nur empfehlen, komme wieder, weiter so!

Wir sind im Kaffeehaus am frühen Nachmittag eingekehrt. Das Kaffeehaus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, der Service war gut, der Kaffee war okay. Total enttäuschend waren die zwei Stück Kuchen, ein Apfelkuchen und eine Florentiner Torte. Industriell hergestellte, nach Nichts schmeckende Kuchenstücke. Nie wieder.

Schade, dass die Preise in den letzten Monaten so gestiegen sind und dafür die Portionen halbiert wurden… Mittelmäßige Qualität. Freundliches Personal.

wir waren sehr Überrascht, von der sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung, Service einwandfrei zufrieden, Hygienevorschriften wurden eingehend beachtet, mit dem Frühstück waren wir komplett überrascht, super, wir werden immer öfters, im Kaffeehaus frühstücken

Gewaltätiger Koch. Er schlägt die Bedienungen. Es ist so schade dass man es auch nicht beweisen kann weil der chef die Ohren zu macht. Ich werde niemandem empfehlen dahin zu gehe n.
