Zum 90sten Geburtstag meiner Mutter einen Tisch bestellt. Mama und mein Sohn waren persönlich dort, Reservierung eines Tisches für die Familie wurde notiert. Heute am Geburtstag meiner Mutter noch einmal angerufen um die Uhrzeit noch einmal zu bestätigen... Uns hat alle der Schlag getroffen, als man uns sagte, dass es diese Reservierung überhaupt nicht gab und die Gaststätte an diese Abend voll besetzt ist mit einer anderen, GRÖSSEREN Gruppe/Reservierung... Unverschämt, dreist... Braucht mir keiner zu erzählen, dass es sich hier um ein Versehen handelt...

We celebrated our wedding in the Johannisberg restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! It was a successful day all round and the team and family Traband also contributed. The service and food were excellent starting from the reception, dinner and midnight snack. The spontaneous wishes of our guests were also responded to very well. Ms. Traband supported us in advance with advice and support during the planning phase. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the location and the team!

We were there today as a wedding dinner. I had the trout with potato salad. Unfortunately, the potato salad felt like a finished product (yes! Or similar). The trout was ordered filleted but was full of bones. A catastrophe. The fish tasted great. As a chef, I would be ashamed to serve something like that.

The location is great, but... We were asked at 11:25 a.m. if we could sit down... no, we're closed, opening time is 11:30 a.m., politeness doesn't work that way, it's a shame, especially the tone makes it so

Beautiful view over Bad Nauheim. We sat on the terrace, food was delicious, service was friendly. It was already very busy at 12:30 p.m. Definitely worth a visit, we would be happy to come back and wish the new tenant much success. Even yesterday (2 years after the last recession) I can only say we were extremely satisfied, great food, great view, nice hosts...what more could you want. Please keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

The food was, as always, very tasty. The prices are rather high, but given the quality and the location, it's completely okay. The service was friendly. However, we were still missing a request from time to time as to whether something else was needed. So unfortunately we left without dessert and coffee because time was running out. Due to an intensive conversation, we actually forgot to draw anyone's attention to us.

I've been there five times now and each time there was a closed party. It's probably more of an event location. And that’s how it should be described on Google.

The food was on point and the location was fantastic. Ms. Traband supported us greatly in all matters thanks to her experience. Many thanks to the entire team for this unique day.

Waren ohne Reservierung da. Personal hat uns sehr freundlich einen Tisch angewiesen. Essen war vorzüglich und recht schnell serviert, obwohl noch gleichzeitig eine Hochzeit stattfand. Hatten einen schönen Abend.

The most disappointing evening in a long time. We have been fans of the beautiful location of the charming house on top of the mountain for ages. We've also been inside for coffee and cake and were really looking forward to an evening with friends on the terrace with the great view. Conclusion: catastrophe from A-Z. Starting with the unfriendly service - with one exception in the evening - the uncomfortable chairs on the sloping terrace and the lukewarm, carelessly served food after more than an hour of waiting, even though there was only a manageable amount of activity. Finally, the green sauce was poured over my sunglasses and arm and I rushed off without a word of apology - completely styleless. I was really sad - such a beautiful location and then an atmosphere like in the excursion restaurant on the corner. That's really a pity.

Great place with delicious food with an amazing view over the Wetterau to the Spessart. Service was super nice and professional. Prices for the ambience and offerings are okay for 2024.

We have already been to the Johannisberg restaurant for lunch, coffee klatch and dinner. Everything always worked out great. The various dishes we ordered tasted very tasty. There are enough parking spaces. In the evening it is advisable to reserve a table. The service staff is very attentive and friendly. I have one small point of criticism: the outdoor chairs on the terraces could be equipped with chair cushions.

We had delicious Kaiserschmarrn and coffee, But unfortunately all tables were reserved Who were still free an hour later. We asked if we could sit down but were told they were reserved. Maybe you should rethink your company policy a bit. And train your staff better. A pity.

When the weather is great you have a wide view (Frankfurt skyline). The Johannesberg was my rehabilitation goal and I managed it 💪🏻☺️☺️ As a reward there was delicious food, homemade lemonade (highly recommended) and ice cream (also homemade). The waitress was very nice, attentive and open to a joke. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms. We'll definitely be back 😉

Today, June 1st, 24, we walked to this great restaurant based on a recommendation Of course not without informing us about the opening status via Google (According to Google entry open until 11 p.m.) We were there at 7 p.m. and discovered that a closed party was celebrating there There is no sign of this on the doors either When we asked if we could eat or drink something here we were told “that it is not possible today” Frustrated, we started the somewhat arduous journey back to town Even though we were able to enjoy a great view, we were very disappointed by their inflexibility

Nice service and a good view, but the taste was only ok and an absolutely bottomless price-performance ratio, 27.50 for a mini steak and a handful of fried potatoes. I will never do it again. Good service and a nice view, but the food is just ok and the bang you get for your buck is not worth it at all, 27.50 for a small steak and just a handfull of potatoes. Im never doing this again.

No overnight stay... Went to the restaurant for a café drink. The view and location is wonderful. The restaurant is very cozy, large rooms and generously furnished. The service was ok, but could have smiled more and been a bit friendlier. There was a children's menu for children to color in, which we got ourselves because no waitress offered it to us.

The location is great and the view on a good day can be amazing. But all this is totally ruined by the awful service and the extremely rude behaviour of the staff. Why bother asking your staff to smile and be nice to customers when you already have an influx of customers, right? I don’t recommend this place under the current ownership. Maybe a change of staff and slight care of customer service would make the place worth visit again. Until then It’s worth just walking past.

Wir waren als Familie in Bad Nauheim unterwegs und wollten nach einer kleinen Wanderung im Cafe/Restaurant Johannisberg einkehren, um in Ruhe bei einem Wasser und einer Tasse Kaffee die Aussicht zu genießen. Vor Ort mussten wir dann feststellen, dass die Terrasse anscheinend nicht zum Bewirtungsbereich gehörte. Also fragte ich im Innenbereich nach Getränken, um diese dann mit auf die Terrasse zu nehmen. Die Dame hinter der Theke erklärte mir, dass Getränke nur innerhalb des Restaurants ausgegeben werden. Auf meine Einlassung, dass wir uns dann ins Restaurant setzen würden, erwiderte sie, dass es keine freien Plätze gäbe, da alles reserviert sei. Es war 11:30 Uhr, das Restaurant hatte gerade aufgemacht und außer mir befand sich kein weiterer Gast im Raum. Daraufhin fragte ich, ob ich dann eine Flasche Wasser kaufen könne. Dies lehnte die Dame wieder mit dem Hinweis ab, dass kein Außer-Haus-Verkauf möglich sei. Auf meinen Vorschlag, dann wenigstens ein Glas Leitungswasser zu bekommen, fragte die Dame, aus welchen Gläsern wir denn trinken würden. Schließlich ließ sie sich dann doch dazu herab, mir eine Flasche Wasser zu verkaufen. Die an sich schon sehr unangenehme Situation wurde durch das sehr schnippische Auftreten der Dame und mehrere unangemessene Kommentare noch verschärft. Ich kann verstehen, dass es für die Service-Kräfte aufgrund von Vorgaben manchmal schwierig ist, auf die Wünsche von Gästen einzugehen. Aber sich nicht in der Lage zu fühlen, ein paar Getränke in einem komplett leeren Restaurant/Cafe zu servieren und das unangemessene Auftreten gegenüber Gästen, ist alles andere als professionell. Und leider kann da die phantastische Aussicht von der Terrasse über das schöne Bad Nauheim nur bedingt entschädigen.

The shrimp salad and the view are amazing. The service and the ambience are also great, wine glasses were generously filled over calibration marks, but perhaps only because we also drank an aperitif. Creme brulee with pineapple parfait. There are also delicious things and books. The insider tip is Sunday evenings, when there isn't much going on, but they finish work at 9 p.m.! There are also rooms for 128 a night, even almost in the forest.

Despite many guests and without a reservation, we got a terrace table for 5 people after less than 3 minutes. Very friendly and courteous specialist staff. The apple pie and homemade lemonade were absolutely delicious. When the weather is nice, a fabulous view. Everything was very clean, we would love to come back.

Visit to the outdoor restaurant with a great view of Bad Nauheim. Prices and food were good and we were satisfied. Popular destination.

The location and ambience of the restaurant are sensational. The journey takes some getting used to, however, as the navigation system guides you past the vineyard to the bottom of the stairs. From there you have to follow the road around the next sharp bend out of Bad Nauheim and only then will you find the access road. The quality of the restaurant is high. So it's definitely worth all the effort to find there.

We didn't spend the night there but ate there. It was a beautiful day, a really great panorama and the food was brilliant. I have lactose intolerance but they had no problem with that at all. We simply put something together ourselves and it tasted fantastic. This restaurant is highly recommended. All the stars there are from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Can’t really recommend eating here since we only came for the spectacular view. It was closed on the Tuesday at noon when we came by otherwise we would’ve had some coffee. I would consider this a must visit location but I should confess I’ve been coming to Bad Nauheim a lot since 1984 and this is my first time here - don’t be like me I have friends that live here, but if this is my only time here definitely stop for the view at least. I’m going to make it a point to eat here when I return in a couple years.

We wanted to come to dinner with 10 people at 4:30 p.m. But reservations are not possible before 5:00 p.m. “Is the kitchen closed before 5 p.m.? No. Then why is there no reservation? Because the boss wants it that way.” We then made reservations at another nice restaurant. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Perfect evening in a very nice restaurant in a very special place with a wonderful view of Bad Nauheim. Even the table reservation over the phone went professionally. A nice table was reserved, the service was friendly and professional. 3 different meals, the large starter for 2 people, were very tastefully and nicely prepared. The white wine, a white Burgundy, was just my taste, so I had to have 2 glasses 😉 The digestif, the plum, is very mild and delicious! All in all, an evening that has to be repeated 🙂 Many thanks to the entire team!

The location in Bad Nauheim is unique and beautiful! Maybe that's why, in my opinion, the waitresses often seem quite arrogant. I've been there several times since the "new" occupation and never found the service particularly inviting. On the phone, like just now, the staff (the young man) seemed very arrogant and short to me when they asked friendly questions about opening times and reservations at Easter. For me, this is a reason to stop going or inviting people there as often as possible. Very unfortunate.

The restaurant impresses with its location: it towers over Bad Nauheim and offers spectacular views over the Wetterau during the day and at night! The rooms themselves are tastefully furnished, but with tables in a row in a large room, they have the character of a train station hall. The service from the staff was courteous, reserved without stress and personal: great! Right from the start it was noticeable that the smell of food from the kitchen was unpleasant in the room, we still have some of that now - 2 hours later at home the smell hangs in our clothes as if we had come from the Korean barbecue... The menu is clear for meat lovers but quite varied for vegetarians: several dishes without meat, some with fish and for non-vegetarians mainly schnitzel, a rump steak and a burger. For starters we had salad with sheep's cheese: the dressing was super tasty, the greens were fresh, the cheese was baked perfectly. For the main course there was sea mullet with grilled vegetables (crisp and tasty) and rump steak with fried potatoes (well fried but a bit fatty). We had a lovely evening, also thanks to the good staff, with good food and a spectacular view from the panoramic windows.

Great location above Bad Nauheim. With a view far over the city. Nice restaurant/cafe Good coffee/cake. Decent menu. not quite cheap. But it's almost normal today. The female waiter was very nice and friendly, the male waiter still has room for improvement in this regard. We. Would love to come back.

Super Lage und Ausblick aber essen einfach nicht gut. Ich war an einem Abend im Restaurant und es hat schon angefangen dass ich sehr lange für mein Wasser gewartet habe . Essen war ok aber nicht das beste im Großen und Ganzen enttäuschend

The lady was busy cutting cake. A very unsympathetic demeanor towards a guest who comes from the catering industry.

(Mein Besuch am 24.02.24) Ich hatte als Vorspeise ein Rindertatar, dass für mich wie Mett geschmeckt hat also meiner Meinung nach kein Tatar . Als Hauptspeise gab es für mich ein Wildbürger der war ok aber nichts besonders. Als Nachspeise haben meine Frau und ich uns ein Kaiserschmarren geteilt der war ok aber teilweise war der Kaiserschmarren noch roh Ambiente war ok aber die Akustik war schlecht es war eine Lautstärke die nicht sehr angenehm war Service war mangelhaft die Getränke haben eine halbe Ewigkeit gebraucht Insgesamt kein schöner Abend schade da es so ein schöner Platz ist mit schönem Blick über Bad Nauheim

I wanted to reserve a table for breakfast by email. I was only answered that there was no breakfast. When I asked what was available, I didn't receive an answer and no one could be reached by phone. Just rude and bad. Is it because the email was intended to include an 18-month-old child? Who knows.

Family dinner on a sunny day, there is no nicer location in Bad Nauheim. The food, service, ambience and view are simply second to none. Many thanks to the entire team for a beautiful moment.

We were here spontaneously for dinner during the week. Get a place without a reservation. A beautiful view over Bad Nauheim at night. Food was good and nicely presented, service was nice. Unfortunately, I found the restaurant to be very loud and the furnishings didn't seem harmonious to me. Therefore only four stars.
