Wir waren schon ein paar mal da und es ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Mit Liebe gekocht, immer anders immer sehr gut. Der Service ist auch sehr herzlich. Sehr zu empfehlen 👍

Durften heute eine Weinreise in einem 7 Gänge Menü erleben. Geschmacklich mega lecker und total spannend die Menüzusammenstellung. Man spürt hier einfach die Liebe zum Detail. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, super nett und kompetent. Ein wunderschöner Abend!

Wir sind zufällig auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen, einfach über Google Maps gefunden – die Bilder sahen fantastisch aus, also haben wir es ausprobiert. Wir hatten Glück, früh ohne Reservierung anzukommen. Die Atmosphäre ist warm und einladend, und die Kellnerin begrüßte uns sehr herzlich. Das Essen war absolut fantastisch; wir genossen ein köstliches Überraschungsmenü mit vier Gängen.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier, mit Freunden. Wir waren uns einig, noch nie so gut im Restaurant gegessen zu haben. Es gab das Drei-Gänge-Menü, Vorspeise Fisch, dann Fleisch und zum Nachtisch Pannacotta. Die Saucen einfach ein Traum. Alles sehr schön angerichtet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wir waren zu viert hier und waren uns einig, schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen zu haben. Wir hatten das 3-Gänge-Überraschungsmenü. Jeder Gang wurde erklärt, der Gruß aus der Küche und das selbstgebackene Brot mit Dip einfach nur toll. Absolut freundliche Bedienung. Wer sich etwas schönes gönnen möchte, ist hier absolut richtig.

So war das Essen im Schlaraffenland. Nur ist hier der Service besser und humorvoller. Wir kommen immer wieder gern

Ein wunderschönes Erlebnis in der Lübecker Altstadt Vor Kurzem haben wir als Paar in diesem Restaurant in einem wunderschönen Gebäude in der Lübecker Altstadt gegessen. Die Atmosphäre ist einzigartig, etwas altmodisch, aber sehr angenehm. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über freundlich und aufmerksam. Da wir etwas später kamen, war das Fischgericht, das wir uns gewünscht hatten, leider schon ausverkauft. Das Restaurant arbeitet jedoch mit täglich frischen Produkten, was in gewisser Weise ein gutes Zeichen ist. Der Küchenchef selbst kam an unseren Tisch, um uns eine Alternative zu empfehlen, was wir als sehr nette Geste empfanden. Er hatte sogar eine kleine Überraschung als Trostpflaster für uns parat. :) Die Alternative war sehr lecker und wunderschön zubereitet. Wir hatten das 7-Gänge-Menü und fanden jedes Gericht sehr einzigartig, tolle Aromen und mit Liebe zubereitet. Wir waren anlässlich unseres 5. Hochzeitstages dort und werden den Abend in positiver Erinnerung behalten.

Wir sind Fans von gutem Essen, dementsprechend hatten wir hohe Erwartungen. Kulinarisch war der Abend ein Erfolg. Der „Waldspaziergang“ war der Star unseres vegetarischen Menüs. Ambiente und Service waren leider nicht ganz unser Fall. Der Raum war recht konservativ gehalten (ein kurzer Gang durch andere Teile offenbarte dass es aber auch deutlich freundlichere Plätze gibt, also kann man Glück haben), der Service war recht wortkarg. Für uns gehört zum Essen auch eine kurze Information, was serviert wird. Gerade weil man es beim Überraschungsmenü nicht weiß. Manchmal wurde es beim Weggehen noch über die Schulter gerufen. Mein „Highlight“ war das lapidare „Äh Papayasalat“ als man schon halb aus dem Raum war. Ich nehme es mit Humor. Was mich enttäuscht hat war dass wir im Vorhinein über die Unverträglichkeiten meines Partners informiert haben. Mit einer klaren Aufzählung. Als das Dessert kam waren wir schon misstrauisch, aber da die Kommunikation vorher so klar war, habe ich doch vertraut, dass es gerade bei dem Preis einfach funktioniert. Die Bestandteile des Desserts waren aber auch nicht genau erkennbar. Wir haben halt Erfahrung was problematisch sein könnte und nehmen an, dass Kokosöl enthalten war, obwohl vorab Kokos als Allergen explizit genannt wurde. Die anschließenden Magenverstimmungen am Abend haben die Vermutung erhärtet. Ich finde das schade, da hätte ich einen professionelleren Umgang erwartet. Es handelt sich nicht um eine Spurenallergie, die Reaktion tritt nur bei einem klaren Bestandteil auf. Zu guter letzt der Hinweis, dass auch die sanitären Einrichtungen zum Gesamterlebnis des Abends beitragen und ich schon finde, dass die Deko zwar nett ist aber vielleicht auch sauber gehalten werden könnte. Alles in allem, das Essen ist wirklich gut. Der Rest könnte besser sein um einen Besuch zu einem Fine Dining Erlebnis zu machen.

Das Restaurant Johanna Berger mit dem Chef Jamel hat sich über die Jahre zu einem Gourmet-Tempel entwickelt. Es werden einem nicht nur leckere Speisen oder super Weine geboten, sondern ein absolutes Rund-um-Wohlfühl-Gefühl. Jeder Gang ein neues Erlebnis, passende Weine und super nette Bedienung. Hier fühlt man sich als Gast zu Hause! Und dass zu akzeptablen Preisen.

Ein wirklich unvergesslicher Abend! Das 8-Gänge-Menü war durchweg unglaublich lecker und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Ein großes Lob besonders an Küchenchef Jamel, der hier wirklich ganze Arbeit leistet – jeder Gang war ein Highlight. Auch der Service war super angenehm und aufmerksam. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, das wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen können!

Für den Preis zu durchschnittlich. Das Essen war zweifellos gut, aber angesichts des Preises hatten wir mehr erwartet. Ein Vier-Gänge-Menü mit Weinbegleitung kostete 1000 DKK pro Person. Die Einrichtung war langweilig, und wir warteten nach dem Dessert 30 Minuten, bis wir endlich jemanden zum Bezahlen erreichten. Die Bedienung war mit einer größeren Gruppe beschäftigt. Deshalb verzichteten wir auf den Kaffee. Wir warteten weitere 10 Minuten auf die Rechnung. Es gibt Alternativen mit einem besseren Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Unglaublicher Abend Alles hat gestimmt

Surprisedinner oder "5 Gänge für ein Hallelujah" - Was für ein toller Abend! Ambiente: Man kommt sich vor, wie in einem tollen Esszimmer. Es wirkt gemütlich, aufgeräumt und privat irgendwie. Dazu kommt dann der... Service: Die Begrüßung war persönlich, einladend und "umarmend". Die Jacken wurden abgenommen und in den Schrank gehängt und wir zum Tisch geleitet. Durch den gesamten, langen Abend wurden wir von ausnehmend freundlichem und geschulten Personal geführt inkl. der Vorstellung der einzelnen Gänge und Zwischengänge, was z.T. auch vom exzellenten Küchenpersonal gemacht wurde. Essen: 5 Gänge waren eigentlich eher 7 oder 8 und alle außerordentlich, außergewöhnlich und fein abgestimmt! Selbst der Küchenchef Jamel Jérôme Poerschke nahm sich viel Zeit auch später noch auf eine Flasche Champagner mit uns. Schaut sonst einfach mal auf den Social Media Kanälen des Küchenchefs oder auch Restaurants rein, um euch einen Eindruck zu verschaffen. Hunger: Man könnte denken, dass bei so feiner Küche am Ende noch ein Besuch bei MCD anstehen müsste, weil man nicht satt würde, aber wir waren absolut gesättigt nach dem Dessert inkl. Käsevariationen. Großartig! Preis: Qualität hat seinen Preis, aber in all den o.g. Punkten sollte klar werden, dass es sich lohnt das "Abendteuer" Überraschungsmenü. Am besten mit guten Freunden oder geliebten Menschen, denn man kommt nicht umhin sich wohl zu fühlen. Dementsprechend gut sind Gespräche und Laune, zumal die Küche immer mittendrin, statt nur dabei ist. Fazit: Absolute Empfehlung und es lohnt sich auch die Anreise nach Lübeck, wenn man ein bisschen weiter weg wohnt. Bleibt am besten direkt eine Nacht oder zwei in der schönen Stadt...

It was exactly as we hoped, and it was. My wife and I were lucky enough to get a table spontaneously. We both chose the four-course menu. The chef was exceptionally friendly and adapted the menu for my wife, vegetarian and pregnancy-friendly. We were both more than satisfied! The waiters also enhanced the evening with their friendliness and excellent service. We would recommend the restaurant at any time and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We love going to the Johanna Berger restaurant – the ambiance is beautiful and the food is excellent. A few weeks ago, a visit went badly wrong. After I informed the chef, he promised to make amends next time – and he far exceeded our expectations: a magnificent menu with several courses, champagne to start, and consistently excellent taste. The restaurant has always been a very good address, but with the new chef, the quality has, in my opinion, even improved. I can wholeheartedly recommend Johanna Berger.

A perfect evening! We were there with a work group, mostly young people, and we were all thrilled with the wonderful service, the very creative food – not pretentious, just very good and original, very varied, and absolutely delicious. And the service was impeccable. Warm and welcoming. Three-quarters of our guests didn't drink alcohol, which was perfectly fine; sometimes you get strange looks if you can't sell expensive wine… They served perfect non-alcoholic cocktails at the reception. If I lived in Lübeck, I would go there often… I look back on a wonderful evening.

A true highlight in Lübeck! I recently visited the Johanna Berger Restaurant for the first time and I'm absolutely thrilled! The cuisine was creative, varied, and incredibly delicious. My absolute favorite was the light potato salad with caviar. Yohannes from the waiting staff was so welcoming and took the time to explain everything. The wine was also excellent – ​​it was recommended to me every time I went with my meal and it was a perfect match. The ambiance is so lovely, you immediately feel welcome. The terrace is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine! I also particularly liked that the head chef, Jamel, stopped by at the end of the meal himself – very personable and with a real passion for his cuisine! @Team Johanna Berger, it's been a few days since we visited you. The level of service here is truly unique. We had a 5 or 6-course menu (I can't remember exactly) with accompanying wine pairings. We're by no means wine experts, but the selection complemented the meal very well. I can't pick out anything about the food because everything was top-notch. In terms of taste and presentation, it's truly unparalleled! Absolutely recommended for connoisseurs, but at a higher price!

This was truly a very special evening.The restaurant is beautiful. Service is relaxed, there was often the sound of laughter from the kitchen, and the team clearly have fun working together to produce clever food and a memorable evening for their guests. Tasting menu and wines were perfectly paired. Nothing gimmicky, nothing gratuitous - simply artful combinations of flavours well presented. The chef, who is deservedly ambitious for a star, lets the food - which is locally sourced - speak for itself, but he adds inventive flair and creativity to make each course really sing. We had the great pleasure of chatting with the chef for some while after dinner (we forgive him for supporting the wrong football team) and were delighted to be joined by Johanna Berger. It was a memorable evening and we felt very lucky to have spent time with talented professionals who are clearly passionate about their work. If ever you are in Lübeck, do go, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic wines that went well with the different dishes. Out of five dishes, one was very good and the rest mediocre. The waitress was nice but seemed inexperienced. One dish consisted of an egg with spinach and was more or less inedible. When we were asked to comment on the food, we pointed this out and were told that it is liked by Germans. We will not be returning.

It was a wonderful experience that we will not forget. We had the 7 course menu and our favorite wine from Priorat, simply top!

From the very first moment, the visit to the Johanna Berger restaurant was a first-class experience. The welcome was warm and professional, the ambience was elegant and stylish without being overloaded. Each course of the tasting menu was a small work of art – both in terms of taste and appearance. Particularly noteworthy is the main course: a perfectly cooked saddle of venison with celery puree and a deeply aromatic red wine reduction - simply heavenly.

We always enjoy coming here! We were last there on Good Friday and celebrated our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed this year's Easter menu (with fish, 5 courses in total), which we can 100% recommend. The wine selection is great, vegetarians/pescatarians will always find enough options here and the service is always friendly. For us, this restaurant is a blessing for Lübeck and the surrounding area. In summer there is a quiet, pretty courtyard. Thanks and cheers!

Ok food but defintely not Michelin standard and the waiter didn't know anything about the food or wine. When recieving the bill the waiter had added his "Trinkgeld" (Tips) without approval. Not ok.

Some evenings you don't forget - and one of them was our visit to the Johanna Berger restaurant. As soon as you enter the stylishly furnished restaurant, you can feel that there is a lot of attention to detail here. A warm, inviting atmosphere meets attentive service and cuisine that is second to none. The service was excellent from the first moment - warm, unobtrusive and completely professional. Each course was served with a short explanation, and small special requests were implemented without hesitation. You felt completely welcome and well looked after. The real highlight, however, was what came out of the kitchen. The chef – clearly a master of his craft – knows how to perfectly coordinate flavors and present classic and creative dishes with sophistication. Each plate was a small work of art, both in terms of taste and appearance. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening – full of enjoyment, good conversations and a feeling of having experienced something very special. Restaurant Johanna Berger is a place to which you will be happy to return – and which you can recommend without reservation.

The ambience of this restaurant is very appealing and promises fine dining. The service is friendly but sometimes a bit overwhelmed. So we received the wrong aperitif, the right wine was only found on the third attempt and towards the end of the evening the service staff were hardly visible anymore. The food was okay, without any special taste accents. Unfortunately, a piece of the beef fillet was so tough that we had to send it back.

This restaurant on the beautiful old town island of Lübeck is a true food hotspot among gourmets. From the highest service to probably the best food you can get in Lübeck and the surrounding area. We have spent such unforgettable evenings there and simply enjoyed the ambience. I have always enjoyed the food so far and it has been beautifully, almost artistically prepared *.* the quality is at a high level! Clear recommendation for those who appreciate good food 🥰

Difficult! I expected more. Even the wine selection was extremely complicated. The first one was out of stock, the second one was no longer in the range (old inserts for the card). Then there was the third! The food was good, but unfortunately the expected wow effect was not there.

To keep it short. Everything at a high level; Warm plates, food of high quality and sufficiently portioned. The service was very courteous and attentive, but seemed slightly overwhelmed when it came to special requests, but in the end everything was sorted out to our satisfaction. The impression was only marred by the fact that it was quite cool in the restaurant, which is probably due to the rooms and the chairs are not particularly comfortable and it quickly becomes uncomfortable to sit on them. Furthermore, sanitary facilities sometimes need renovation.

We celebrated my mother's birthday at Johanna Berger's. The time flew by. Not only was the service excellent, but the surprise menu was the highlight of the evening. We were all thrilled and couldn't stop marveling. What the young chef created was an explosion of flavor.

One is tempted to spontaneously give 5 stars out of 5 possible. In the end I still don't do it (goose) completely. We (four people) entered the restaurant from the rather gloomy Julius-Leber-Straße and you found yourself in a different world. In a bright atmosphere you will be warmly welcomed and shown to a festively set table. The service remains excellent throughout the evening. The selection of champagne as an aperitif and the wine list with the meal are really good. We had pre-ordered the goose menu to match the season. Apart from the fact that you know that the main course is roast goose, it is a surprise menu. After the usual little greeting from the kitchen, we were given porcini mushroom soup as a starter. Extremely delicious. Five stars. The main course was the pre-ordered whole goose for four people. This was also shown to us before it was cut up (it looked wonderful). Unfortunately, the cutting itself didn't happen at the table but in the kitchen. According to the service employee, the goose would be cut up under a heat lamp and then served to us in two courses so that the meat on the plate didn't get cold. Two sets of cutlery were also presented at each place setting. As expected, a small portion of roast goose was served at every seat. Add some small dumplings and some red cabbage in bowls. A small amount of sauce was delivered later upon request. There was also a bowl with small contents, which was probably the stuffing for the goose. You could also see them at the presentation of the goose. After we had emptied our plates (it really tasted very good), our plates were cleared away and the waitress went into the kitchen and announced that she wanted to get the second batch. It was a big surprise when she returned to the table and said that that was probably all before. In short, we weren't really full. Apparently the goose was too small for four people or it was cut up so badly in the kitchen that there was unnecessary waste. Too bad! There was then a small dessert and on the way back via the Lübeck Christmas market a currywurst for the two men. Overall, a nice evening, the rating should not be a slur. Johanna Berger is definitely a good upscale restaurant. But there is room for improvement. Especially since in the end we paid well at 550 euros, including champagne and a bottle of wine.

Just a great place! The food is fantastic, the service is warm and the atmosphere is relaxed. The cuisine is absolutely amazing – always fresh, creative and incredibly tasty. You can taste how much love and skill goes into every dish here. (Okay, I admit, I work here - but that's exactly why I know what I'm talking about!)
