Joe Champs in Köln

10/10 experience. I was in Germany for two days with my family and we found this restaurant which was really close to central. We decided to give it a try and it did not dissapoint at all. The staff is really friendly and they speak multiple languages. The food portions were bigger than expected which is something I always appreciate from a restaurant to ensure that to the food is value for money. Finally, the ambience was so cool with all the sports decoration and they had hispanic music in the background which I think made everything 100 times better. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in cologne with their loved ones.

Super cool sports bar in a perfect location. In the middle of Cologne, Joe Champs with a top location is really one of my favorite spots to just have a relaxed drink in the evening. The food is also really good, both the finger foods and the burgers and sandwiches are always delicious. But the highlight is definitely the atmosphere in the store. Decorated like an old American diner, full of sports, especially American football. There are many TVs that mainly show football, both live and old games. I recommend everyone to pay the store a visit.

The food is great but it takes really long time to get served! This means that the food is freshly cooked probably, so make sure you have enough time. The drinks come quickly! The people in the service are very nice but when it's full they might be too few.

Great time!!!! Ideal place to watch a football match with friends or family. Very nice room, lots of well-distributed televisions. I was very well received. I recommend and I would happily come back 😉

Nice, well-designed themed shop...but: Yesterday we reserved a table for 20 of you and at first we couldn't take a seat because we were simply blocked in by neighboring tables. Food was mediocre at best and relatively bland. Quite expensive in terms of price. Bottle of water costs as much as three cases. The most negative thing was our male waiter: around 50, southern and not good German. Separate payment for 5 people, adding 2/3 things each, was probably so difficult, it took half an hour to do it. The owner was aggressive and unfriendly. He probably didn't like the fact that we justifiably gave hardly any tips because the service was simply bad. The young southerner at the entrance couldn't say hello or goodbye either. So for us there is definitely no repeat here. The very good reviews are a mystery to us.

Wanted to watch football. We then got a cold (overpriced) burger with lukewarm fries...to make matters worse, we had to vacate the place half an hour before the end of the game because the staff were unable to reserve a table for another group. It's crazy how a store can survive like this...👎🏼

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be🥺 -Some of the food was only lukewarm -Waiter listless and inattentive -even though there were very few guests there It's really a shame because I used to love going here. We are now seriously disappointed for the second time in a few weeks🙄

If you want to see sports it's ok to see it here. But the food is really bad. I had a hamburger and it was one of the baddest burgers I had in my life. The service is also really bad. I gave a tip of 2 euros, and I didn't even like it, and the guy who works here tried to make me pay more tip. I was like no only 2 euros. After a couple of minutes when I paid, he came and said that I gave way to less tip.... Then I said I could also give you nothing and he was laughing about it.

It was a pretty busy night, so I'd imagine I'd give 5 stars on a slow evening. Classic American sports bar vibe. Ate lots of fried foods, drank Miller Lite and watched football.

Nice shop to watch football and have a drink. The burgers and fries tasted like frozen food and were not recommended. The shop was relatively empty and it took a long time to be served and pay, which is why only 2 stars for the food and service.

This place is a sports bar and the citizens use frozen patties. The cheeseburger was the worst citizen I have ever eaten. The fries were half raw and cold. The lettuce in the cheeseburger was spoiled. I would avoid citizens in this store. If you want to watch football and drink then this is the place for you. You should avoid eating here

Sehr coole amerikanische Sportsbar mit sehr leckerem Essen. Für jeden was dabei vom Burger und Pommes bis Sparribs und Sandwiches. Schönes Ambiete und sehr Nette Bedienung. Auch einiges an Bierauswahl sowie an leckeren Cocktails. Sehr Empfehlenswert.

Well, many people already know that, but for those who have never been there: the hottest sports bar. The staff is super nice, the cheeseburger is the best I know just because of the quality of the meat. NFL is very important here and you just get a real American feeling. I love the shop

Waren Samstagabend per Zufall in Joe’s Champ gelandet, obwohl voll umgehend nach Bestellung Getränk erhalten. Hatten verschiedene Speisen bestellt, alles kam sehr zügig, waren heiß und hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Kann die vorherigen Kritiken nicht nachvollziehen!

This bar doesn't even deserve one star. The employees are arrogant and condescending. Online reservations and calls are not taken into account, there are only bland answers.

A great sports bar. A good place to watch any sport as there is a TV on every wall, pillar or similar. There is also the 6m LCD screen in the middle. However, the prices are overpriced and the food is mediocre at best.

Impressive sports bar. If you want to eat and drink delicious food and watch sports there and are nearby, definitely take a look...important; Reserve a table in advance. You can even look at the screens on the window panes from the outdoor seating outside. Inside = mega LED wall. 2 floors with lots of tables. TVs everywhere. Nice and friendly waitresses. No long waiting times...if you don't have a reservation and it's full, you'll get standing room first. Overall very positive feedback...we'd love to come back...keep it up...

I went hoping for buffalo wings since it is supposedly an American sports bar. The only type of wings are barbecue or spicy barbecue. The words „frank’s redhot“ drew only blank stares. They were acceptable bbq wings with a third of a celery stick, a tiny carrot and some sort of yogurt sauce that was supposed to be ranch (I think). The staff was nice. Other than that it’s a nice sports bar.

Best sports bar in Cologne. Joe Champs has an American flair. Very nicely furnished, you can watch sport on at least one screen from every seat, outside or inside, without any obstructed view. The food is here too. I can only recommend it.

Everything was great except for the waiter, who should learn a little politeness. Insistently demanding tips is pathetic. The good gentleman should reconsider his behavior.

We haven't eaten such bad burgers in a long time. We almost suffocated because they were so dry. We had the impression that they had been warmed up again from the day before. Not recommended and the store will never see us again. Then Burger King or McFress is the better choice and also a lot cheaper.

Supersport Bar with very tasty food at decent prices. The staff is very nice and responds to special requests. The prices are not overpriced and the location of the restaurant is very central! The food is very good! I go there at least once when I'm in Cologne! Absolutely recommended! 😁

Attention people! Anyone who goes there because the meat is Halel is NOT! This was confirmed by both chefs. That's just written down there but it's not true. So don't eat there anymore!!

Great for watching sports. Now comes the big BUT: The four of us wanted to watch football and we were offered a table, but with the condition that we HAD to eat something. I even somewhat understand that on a well-attended evening, but it went further. The condition was tightened by the gentleman at the entrance by telling us what we SHOULD eat and what we shouldn't. For example, a portion of fries is not enough. Basically a minimum turnover that was not advertised anywhere and was conveyed in an incredibly unfriendly tone. The joke is that we were actually hungry and probably would have even ordered food on our own. Since we really wanted to watch the game, we took the table. With the drinks ordered alone, sales would not have been particularly low. Gaffel Kölsch was offered on the menu. However, Dom Kölsch was served. I'm actually not that small-minded, but at the reception you naturally enter the store with a certain aftertaste. The food (burgers & Co.) took over an hour to arrive and tasted average (at above-average prices). As we were leaving the restaurant, we kindly pointed out to the waitress that she had lost a €20 bill from her wallet. Everyone has a bad day or stress from time to time, but this experience left us speechless and unfortunately put us off for a long time.

Unfortunately we didn't have a positive experience. We waited 45 minutes for a table and were then treated very unfriendly and disrespectfully by a waitress because we didn't want to eat anything at 10 p.m. and just wanted to drink something. We were told we were uneducated. Very condescending treatment of customers!

Absolute impudence. We asked for a table, were taken there and then rudely insulted that we had to eat something here (at 10 p.m.) otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to sit there. Ordering drinks wasn't enough for them. Then got up again. Another employee then came after us and insulted us, saying we were ill-mannered. We left the juice shop immediately afterwards. Never again!

When we shook our heads we were personally insulted, which is absolutely not possible!!! The staff there (except for the one who tried to give us the table) were really an absolute disgrace!! You can't treat customers like that☹️

Chaos for the football, we watched England vs Serbia in there and yes it was busy but bar staff seemed to be arguing amongst themselves instead of serving customers. Gave it a solid 4 stars because I have been in there before and know its usually better, it has a jumbo screen for the football and when the beer arrives, it is very good 👍

Food was really average with relatively high prices. We had a very friendly, warm and quick waiter, which made up for the extremely sub-par chilli con carne. The shop has become relatively worn out over the years, serves its purpose... The menu is extremely manageable, citizens OK, chilli WAY too greasy...

Scammers. After last night's game I had a prosecco with friends, Teo Grand Cuvee, which normally costs €10 or €11, but they made us pay for a €75 bottle of Ruinart.

The atmosphere is amazing! The price is a bit high but the food is good. We had a trouble experience from the waiters, they were rude and not Findlay at all.

Price-performance ratio is absolutely not right. A chicken burger with a frozen patty and fries can easily cost you just under €20. Such prices are unrealistic. Meanwhile, the portions become smaller. The food arrived cold. The employees are very harsh because too few employees for many guests = stress. I felt very taken down. The second star is because of the many screens. Conclusion: If you want a cold frozen burger with limp fries for €20, this is the place for you. Bon appetit.

Great place to watch sports. compared with other regular pubs where they show sports, this place is much better. You have multiple big screen outside and inside and inside there is a huge one. It's a proper place to watch sports with your friends.

The food was really good, but nothing special. We sat at the table for the first 10 minutes without anyone wanting to take the order. It really wasn't full - hence only 3 stars. Definitely a great location for sporting events!

I was there for the second time recently. The cocktails are great, the fruity shot with the funny name also tasted great. Ribs are really tender and flavorful, BBQ sauce is enough. Chili cheese fries (with chili con carne) were very tasty. Ketchup and mayo are already on the table. It's perfect for watching matches, the perfect location for it, it can also get loud. Unfortunately, if it's too crowded, you'll get lost as a customer, which is understandable. On the second visit, the waiter listened to our conversation too much and noticed this. He did this several times. Halfway through the time we spent at the local, the waiter let go and he was the only person who kept walking past our corner. The second visit was very unpleasant, the first one was great, even with the waiting time.

We had a very nice evening yesterday. Well organized in advance (great contact via WhatsApp regarding special requests), super delicious food & drinks and the service was really top (and I'm very demanding). We sat at table 87, Saturday June 1st, 2024 from 7:00 p.m., and our waiter was absolutely great. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Crowded, loud and overpriced food that isn't even good.

I have never experienced a sports bar where watching hockey with sound was "not allowed." We specifically booked a table there so we could watch the finals. The bar was almost empty, only a few tables were occupied. We asked twice to turn on the sound. We noticed that other guests were also asking for it. And the answer at first was: that's technically impossible, then we were told that other guests complain because it's too loud... I would like to emphasize again that we're talking about a sports bar and people come there to watching the games and not listening to music. When we said that we had come specifically for the game, they said: "We only turn on the sound for important games" (it was the Ice Hockey World Cup finals, it couldn't be more important)... Then we were told, that next time we should let us know when making the reservation that we would like to watch a game and reserve table number 7. Then we can watch with sound. So, never again Joe Camps... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The meat from the burger was dry, the blue cheese and sour cream didn't taste good at all

A very typical American sports bar with a great selection of food and drinks. Unfortunately, the food took a long time and our order was initially forgotten, so we had to remind the waiter. The food was still amazing! There was also a good selection on the menu for vegetarians!

There were four of us there to watch football. The restaurant was fully occupied and yet the service was very friendly, attentive and quick. We always had drinks on the table and were served regularly. The food was ok, but nothing particularly special like a sports bar. Location is nice. All in all a great place to watch football and have a few beers with friends.

We were there with a group. Very dissatisfied!!! We were served so slowly, my pet snail is faster. There wasn't even that much going on. And when you were served like in round 2, it took over 20 minutes for drinks. Unsatisfactory. We really had the feeling that there was no desire to make money with us at all. We would have left a lot of money because we were THIRSTY. Food: Taste OK but that was it. 3 more fries on the plate and I would have had a total of 5: manageable portion. There is definitely better for the price/performance. But they have great TVs, great! When paying (€197.70) I give €200. Instead of giving me the tip, the cheeky waiter says thank you. I still decide for myself when I tip wv?? A pity. A dark experience of the JGA.

Always worth a visit with friends. Tellys can be easily seen from everywhere. Food and drinks are good and the service is attentive.

I've been to Joe Chumps several times and it's the best sports bar I know. The staff is super friendly and quick. The food, especially the Joe Chumps burger, is simply delicious. The place is always very clean and I noticed that the windows are much more shiny now than they used to be, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere. Highly Recommended!
