We haven't eaten such bad burgers in a long time. We almost suffocated because they were so dry. We had the impression that they had been warmed up again from the day before. Not recommended and the store will never see us again. Then Burger King or McFress is the better choice and also a lot cheaper.

As a tourist; We were welcomed very politely and friendly. Hassan, the bartender was an incredibly friendly, outgoing and quick employee. We had entertaining conversations and friendly exchanges. For us, Hassan was a very competent and sincere, friendly employee. Thanks for the great evening.

Attention people! Anyone who goes there because the meat is Halel is NOT! This was confirmed by both chefs. That's just written down there but it's not true. So don't eat there anymore!!

Great for watching sports. Now comes the big BUT: The four of us wanted to watch football and we were offered a table, but with the condition that we HAD to eat something. I even somewhat understand that on a well-attended evening, but it went further. The condition was tightened by the gentleman at the entrance by telling us what we SHOULD eat and what we shouldn't. For example, a portion of fries is not enough. Basically a minimum turnover that was not advertised anywhere and was conveyed in an incredibly unfriendly tone. The joke is that we were actually hungry and probably would have even ordered food on our own. Since we really wanted to watch the game, we took the table. With the drinks ordered alone, sales would not have been particularly low. Gaffel Kölsch was offered on the menu. However, Dom Kölsch was served. I'm actually not that small-minded, but at the reception you naturally enter the store with a certain aftertaste. The food (burgers & Co.) took over an hour to arrive and tasted average (at above-average prices). As we were leaving the restaurant, we kindly pointed out to the waitress that she had lost a €20 bill from her wallet. Everyone has a bad day or stress from time to time, but this experience left us speechless and unfortunately put us off for a long time.

I absolutely cannot recommend visiting Joe Champs. The staff is unfriendly, we were insulted and called ill-mannered when we asked simple questions. I wouldn't leave any more money in that store.

Unfortunately we didn't have a positive experience. We waited 45 minutes for a table and were then treated very unfriendly and disrespectfully by a waitress because we didn't want to eat anything at 10 p.m. and just wanted to drink something. We were told we were uneducated. Very condescending treatment of customers!

Absolute impudence. We asked for a table, were taken there and then rudely insulted that we had to eat something here (at 10 p.m.) otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to sit there. Ordering drinks wasn't enough for them. Then got up again. Another employee then came after us and insulted us, saying we were ill-mannered. We left the juice shop immediately afterwards. Never again!

Chaos for the football, we watched England vs Serbia in there and yes it was busy but bar staff seemed to be arguing amongst themselves instead of serving customers. Gave it a solid 4 stars because I have been in there before and know its usually better, it has a jumbo screen for the football and when the beer arrives, it is very good 👍

Food was really average with relatively high prices. We had a very friendly, warm and quick waiter, which made up for the extremely sub-par chilli con carne. The shop has become relatively worn out over the years, serves its purpose... The menu is extremely manageable, citizens OK, chilli WAY too greasy...

Scammers. After last night's game I had a prosecco with friends, Teo Grand Cuvee, which normally costs €10 or €11, but they made us pay for a €75 bottle of Ruinart.

Price-performance ratio is absolutely not right. A chicken burger with a frozen patty and fries can easily cost you just under €20. Such prices are unrealistic. Meanwhile, the portions become smaller. The food arrived cold. The employees are very harsh because too few employees for many guests = stress. I felt very taken down. The second star is because of the many screens. Conclusion: If you want a cold frozen burger with limp fries for €20, this is the place for you. Bon appetit.

Great place to watch sports. compared with other regular pubs where they show sports, this place is much better. You have multiple big screen outside and inside and inside there is a huge one. It's a proper place to watch sports with your friends.

The food was really good, but nothing special. We sat at the table for the first 10 minutes without anyone wanting to take the order. It really wasn't full - hence only 3 stars. Definitely a great location for sporting events!

We had a very nice evening yesterday. Well organized in advance (great contact via WhatsApp regarding special requests), super delicious food & drinks and the service was really top (and I'm very demanding). We sat at table 87, Saturday June 1st, 2024 from 7:00 p.m., and our waiter was absolutely great. Thank you for the lovely evening!

I was there for the second time recently. The cocktails are great, the fruity shot with the funny name also tasted great. Ribs are really tender and flavorful, BBQ sauce is enough. Chili cheese fries (with chili con carne) were very tasty. Ketchup and mayo are already on the table. It's perfect for watching matches, the perfect location for it, it can also get loud. Unfortunately, if it's too crowded, you'll get lost as a customer, which is understandable. On the second visit, the waiter listened to our conversation too much and noticed this. He did this several times. Halfway through the time we spent at the local, the waiter let go and he was the only person who kept walking past our corner. The second visit was very unpleasant, the first one was great, even with the waiting time.

I have never experienced a sports bar where watching hockey with sound was "not allowed." We specifically booked a table there so we could watch the finals. The bar was almost empty, only a few tables were occupied. We asked twice to turn on the sound. We noticed that other guests were also asking for it. And the answer at first was: that's technically impossible, then we were told that other guests complain because it's too loud... I would like to emphasize again that we're talking about a sports bar and people come there to watching the games and not listening to music. When we said that we had come specifically for the game, they said: "We only turn on the sound for important games" (it was the Ice Hockey World Cup finals, it couldn't be more important)... Then we were told, that next time we should let us know when making the reservation that we would like to watch a game and reserve table number 7. Then we can watch with sound. So, never again Joe Camps... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

A very typical American sports bar with a great selection of food and drinks. Unfortunately, the food took a long time and our order was initially forgotten, so we had to remind the waiter. The food was still amazing! There was also a good selection on the menu for vegetarians!

There were four of us there to watch football. The restaurant was fully occupied and yet the service was very friendly, attentive and quick. We always had drinks on the table and were served regularly. The food was ok, but nothing particularly special like a sports bar. Location is nice. All in all a great place to watch football and have a few beers with friends.

We were there with a group. Very dissatisfied!!! We were served so slowly, my pet snail is faster. There wasn't even that much going on. And when you were served like in round 2, it took over 20 minutes for drinks. Unsatisfactory. We really had the feeling that there was no desire to make money with us at all. We would have left a lot of money because we were THIRSTY. Food: Taste OK but that was it. 3 more fries on the plate and I would have had a total of 5: manageable portion. There is definitely better for the price/performance. But they have great TVs, great! When paying (€197.70) I give €200. Instead of giving me the tip, the cheeky waiter says thank you. I still decide for myself when I tip wv?? A pity. A dark experience of the JGA.

I've been to Joe Chumps several times and it's the best sports bar I know. The staff is super friendly and quick. The food, especially the Joe Chumps burger, is simply delicious. The place is always very clean and I noticed that the windows are much more shiny now than they used to be, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere. Highly Recommended!

I worked here for a season. The staff is treated condescendingly because new workers are coming anyway. Customers sometimes don't care because the store attracts tourists like magnets with its overpriced prices and beautiful facade. In good German: How you are treated on which day as a customer or staff is a matter of luck. There is a chance that this review will be deleted "because it wouldn't be true". I'm laughing my ass off. If the staff changes almost completely every season, you should ask yourself why. My appeal to you, dear customers. It's better to go to a brewery, even if the big screen is tempting. The perfect sports bar. Top service and very solid food that you don't get in every sports bar

I've been going there since Champs existed. Previously for partying, now for eating with the family. At my little one's birthday dinner, a birthday dessert was thought of, and she was very happy. The burgers are always delicious and delicious. Will continue to eat our burger there, so we recommend it! Go Champs!

As of: May 10, 2024 I was here for the first time with my three wives to eat delicious spare ribs. My youngest daughter was raving about it the whole time because she had eaten there every now and then. We made reservations online, which worked great and should definitely be done. Since Father's Day and Mother's Day are so close together, our two daughters chose this day for my wife and me. We had great, attentive service, everything was great. We will definitely come back here. We recommend. Parking in the area is only possible for a fee. Hardly any activity. After 15, we were given a menu upon request. Another 20 minutes later we left as we still weren't served. The couple behind us were there longer and weren't served and also gave up.

I wanted to meet a friend there, got there a little early because I was nearby anyway and then watched the football game during that time. After 10 minutes it was assumed that I just wanted to watch the game without drinking or eating anything. If you are only there for a short time, you have to order something immediately or you can leave. I left after the comment and where my friend came about 15 minutes later, we went somewhere else. 👍🏻

Das Essen dort ist nicht lecker. Die Barbecue Sauce ist ungenießbar und auch das Fleisch schmeckt wie Sand Außerdem muss man sehr lange warten, bis man das Essen bekommt. Und das Essen ist sehr sehr, sehr kalt das kann man gar nicht essen. Ich verstehe nicht, wieso wir so behandelt worden sind. Nie wieder gehen wir dorthin.

Snacks are expensive and not that tasty. It is a sport bar, but you are watching a football in a mute with the music in the background. No sport atmosphere.

Food was good, but service was slow....wouldn't return if in the area

Everything was fine till we got the bill. We ordered a beer, a tea and a coffee with baileys. When we got the bill we noticed that the coffee and the baileys were charged seperately for a total of €10,20!! When I told the waiter about it he went to get the manager. The manager actually said that this was normal and more importantly that this price for a coffee with baileys was a normal price. What a joke.. If you decide to go to this place check your bill and be carefull with what you order!

The food itself was okay but still very expensive. I ended up paying €26 for a burger with fries and a large cola. The prices on the menu do not match the prices that were on the bill at the end (burgers €14 and drinks around €5). Our service was also very friendly and the food was delivered quickly. But when it came to paying, our waitress just took a tip without me saying anything. When I asked her about it and said that I didn't want to leave a tip (because the food was already very expensive), the waitress went to change the money and then brought me back €4 in 10ct and 20ct pieces. I felt pretty ripped off then. I'm not obligated to tip, especially towards the end of the month. And then to have the audacity to arrive with so much change because you can't handle the fact that you don't get a tip, I think it's an absolute disgrace. I'll talk about the food again, triathlon burgers with potato pancakes that weren't even fully cooked, with coleslaw which tasted both very sweet and bitter at the same time and we weren't even asked how we would like our burgers (medium, raw well done etc) because We all agreed that the burgers could have stayed on the grill a little longer. And the Triathlon Burger was dripping with BBQ sauce. It wasn't really edible.

I'm currently watching a football game in the Champs sports bar on Rudolphplatz. What I don't understand is why music is played during preliminary reporting and halftime and the sound is turned off by the reporter. Even when asked, the sound was not turned on. For a sports bar, this is really a disgrace. The only advantage is the mega-large screen. The running and handling of the sports bar needs improvement.

We were recommended by phone to go to the football game because reservations for the evening were no longer accepted over the phone. 10 minutes later on site and still 3 hours before the game there was no free table for the football game in the evening. The shop was half empty, the ladies couldn't help much, a very unpleasant man who neither introduced himself nor was friendly initially accused us of not calling at all. And then complained more about how I should give him respect instead of walking out of the store complaining. No idea about hospitality. Unfortunately, it can be seen more and more often in the most popular restaurants in Cologne. Not recommended if you want to have a nice day.

We had reserved a table for 4 people. In the reservation we stated that we were coming specifically for the international match and would therefore like to see the screen. At first we were only offered a table where 2 out of 4 people looked out the window, which would actually be a reason to go to the next restaurant. When the lady from service came 5 minutes later to tell us that we couldn't have the worse table, we immediately left the shop. Apparently reservations aren't really taken seriously. In any case, I won't try to watch a sporting event here again.

The food is ok, enough TV and good ambience. Unfortunately the staff is very unfriendly and doesn't serve you properly. Despite making reservations, we were always put in the worst seats, where we couldn't really watch the football game, while other "non-football fans" had the perfect view of the screen. Although other tables were free, we were not allowed to move because they were supposedly reserved. Nobody was placed there until the end. It's a shame, with such a good interior design, that such incompetent staff work there. Don't do this to yourself until the staff is refreshed!

We ordered burgers for 15 euros per person, at first I thought it was the starter but then realized I was wrong. Not great in terms of taste, but great ambience. Burgers really don't have to be there, there are better places. Chickenburger was obviously breaded frozen nugget. Burger is delivered without cheese, if you still want the 2mm of cheese you will have to add several euros to the bill.

The store was full because the top game from England was being broadcast. The food was delivered quite quickly but it was disappointing. In short, more mass instead of class. The ribs were ok but had no crust and everything was soggy, the coleslaw consisted of sugar and mayo with zero acid or vinegar. Fries are just fries and were ok. The only positive thing was the always friendly and quick service. Bottom line, in my opinion, a place that you don't have to visit again.

Am American style/influenced sports bar which straddles the line of being both a just a sports bar and a restaurant. I didn't have any food (hence no rating), but from what I saw, it did look pretty delicious. There were more than enough screens around the place to make sure that every table would be able to watch whatever game, or multiple games, were playing. Super friendly and attentive staff, spoke at least German and English and I would definitely go back again.

Typical American bar with standard dishes. There are TVs everywhere with third-rate sports broadcasts that are simply distracting. Does not have to be. Service was good, although partly in English, but ok, it's an American bar! Dom-Kölsch is really bad, thank God there is Pils on tap at a fair price.

Ideal for watching the football games.

After not being there for a few years, I was pleasantly surprised today. The ready-made patty from the freezer on the burger from back then has given way to a juicy, fresh piece of minced meat. Very fresh and tasty. Thumbs up! Update: Unfortunately we've gone back to the old patties. This is a big loss of quality. It's great to watch FC. It's questionable whether I'll eat anything there again. The burger competition in Cologne is simply too strong for that.
