Great sports bar in a prime location. Friendly, attentive service. Typical American food of good quality and quantity. Reasonable price-performance ratio. We would come back.

Went to this restaurant to watch the Formula 1. Based on the reviews, we were initially expecting a positive experience. When we arrived, the staff were in a bad mood and incompetent. They treated us with total rudeness and arrogance. I immediately felt unwelcome. The Sprite tasted like sparkling water with lemon; it had been open for at least two weeks; I can't think of any other explanation. The wings were burnt. My first one-star review was removed by a lawyer on the grounds of defamation. So it's no surprise that the good reviews get deleted when the bad ones get deleted. I won't be going to this restaurant again.

The food is really good. Restrooms and service are an absolute disaster.

Good food. Good service. Good drinks. Prices are reasonable, too. The perfect place to watch sporting events thanks to the many screens. Reservations are essential on these days.

I was in Cologne for work and was there to watch football and eat. From my reserved spot I could see 4 televisions, but none of them properly. But my super friendly waiter let me take another table, so everything was perfect. Food very good, drinks too, service see above :-)

The food was really great, the atmosphere was great and the service was initially friendly. Actually everything is great! Unfortunately, the big setback came at the very end: you are given the invoice amount without first seeing an overview. The receipt is only given after you have paid. So you might give a generous tip - and later find out that more items were billed than you actually ordered. That's exactly what happened to me. Very unfortunate and absolutely unacceptable. Trust lost!

Actually an integral part of every visit to Cologne. So we went to this diner again for lunch on Easter Monday. It's not just the ambience and the food that are always first class. The service was also simply unbeatable. Friendly, funny, warm... That's what you want in gastronomy. Thank you very much and see you again soon!

Joe Champs is a rustic sports bar with a relaxed atmosphere (depending on the score ;) ). We really enjoyed the burgers, as did the side dishes. The food came very quickly and was attractively prepared. The service staff was very attentive and friendly. It's worth reserving a table in advance.

We were greeted extremely rudely by a waiter whose behavior was completely unacceptable. As soon as we entered the bar, he immediately urged us to make a decision. When we tried to confer briefly - less than two seconds - he slammed his hand angrily on the counter. I tried to defuse the situation by suggesting he “talk” outside, but he refused. Such behavior is completely inappropriate and unworthy of a catering professional. Just because he doesn't feel good right now doesn't give him the right to react that way. This waiter should be seriously held accountable or even fired.

Echte sportsbar, eten was prima, de hamburger en spareribs waren erg goed en veel. De bediening was behulpzaam en in voor een grapje. Fijn bezoek gehad.

Food tasted as if they hadn't changed their concept in 30 years. I think the chef is a 12 year old who has traveled from the past and doesn't know the current food trends and just carries on like he did in the 90s

Food very tasty. Definitely not enough content in the non-alcoholic cocktails. Very expensive . 2 people each only had 1 drink to eat and lost almost €50 😅 But the food definitely tastes very good.

Great burger and good atmosphere

Dinner for 4 people . We ordered typical american food and we were enjoying food and beer . I saw something moving and i saw a RAT coming from the kitchen . I pointed at the rat to the waiter . He smiled . That shows me that he is used to rats in that restaurant. We stopped food paid the money and left .

Cult shop in Cologne since 1995 👍

The staff, without question, are super nice, hospitable, and polite. But the rest is just your typical Cologne-style ribs. The wheat beer was great, but the food is a real 3 out of 10. It arrived within 5 minutes, but that was probably only because it was quickly warmed up in the microwave. Those were the worst ribs I've ever eaten.

I wanted to charge my cell phone, even though there was a power outlet, but I was refused. Of course I also wanted something to drink. Super unfriendly staff. I used to watch the Bundesliga regularly and definitely no longer do so.

We came here driven by hunger and in the end we were full. The service still has potential for improvement (speed, attention) but all in all it is definitely recommended.

The quality and quantity of food used to be better. We were there on Shrove Monday, there were enough staff and not too many guests there. However, we had to wait forever. That's a shame because the atmosphere there is really good. How do you decide to show something from the Düsseldorf carnival on the screens on Shrove Monday?!

Der Burger war ohne Soße, lieblos mit trockenem Bun und das für 13€! Wirklich nicht empfehlenswert! Der Ort bietet sich lediglich zum Fußball gucken und Bier trinken an. Vom Essen würde ich ganz klar absehen!

The food was excellent! The baby ribs and the wings were juicy, tasty salty enough. The fries were okay but I didn’t like the ketchup it had a weird taste. This is my second time here and I would gladly came back again.

Brother 3.80 for a still water is a rip off

Maximum inflexibility if guests don't speak German. First round takes 15 minutes until she comes. Later, a single water cannot be canceled seconds after ordering because the bottle is already open

Ate burgers today. Coleslaw totally dry. Burger was really bad friends!! So the last 2-3 times the burger wasn't a hit. But today and the penultimate time, a real disaster! Meat is frozen goods and no one can tell you that. The taste of the meat was disgusting! Like most restaurateurs in Cologne, they are totally lost when it comes to quality. Waiters used to be better. Eighth! The store wasn't full. Maybe 20-30% full.

Absolutely below average burgers. The taste, quantity and side dishes are better everywhere. The sauce for the nachos is not homemade either. Hunger drives it in but that's it. Absolutely recommended for watching sports and drinking. It is important to reserve well in advance. The service is on point and friendly

If you would like to watch sports events outside, you have come to the right place. Good atmosphere with lots of TVs. Staff mostly nice and quick. Prices are a bit overpriced but it's worth it.

The service was very friendly, a great atmosphere, you feel comfortable and welcome there. Food was very tasty and everything was fresh. No finished eating, you could taste it. Everything was perfect including the cocktails. I would visit this restaurant again at any time 😀

Four of me had dinner here today. Service is very nice. Food was also good. The fries were hot and crispy. Pizza very good in my opinion. I think the drinks are a bit expensive, but the location isn't cheap either, so I understand that. However, the chicken wings were too salty for me. I will still come back and try the other dishes. Joe Champs - Joe jams? Good question, but I would be warmly welcomed. Finding a place in an empty store was difficult. Very nice shop and the staff are good at it. Unfortunately, Gaffel Kölsch is not enjoyable and gives you a headache; therefore 3 *

We were there shortly after Christmas, but you can't really tell anyone what awaited us there: The price of the food was okay, I would say a 3/10 in terms of taste, everything tasted like frozen. What was an absolute disaster, however, was that we were not only in the restaurant with other people, but also with mice 🤢 The waiter's reaction when we asked him about it was also very “interesting”. His answer was: “What should we do?” You can’t do that in a restaurant. I spent the next 3 days on the toilet, the connection between them cannot be denied. After the holidays, it will be reported to the responsible health authority. Never again... Hopefully, as a person reading this, you will be warned early enough.

My mother and I came to this sports bar for the first time.. I have the best impressions.. I have never seen such friendly, smiling staff anywhere in Germany. Thank you very much for giving positivity. Now about the food - the burger is medium in size, but it is hot, tasty and, together with the fries, very filling.. The food was fresh and hot.. I also asked for the chicken to be fried well for the burger. They brought me what I asked for.. The atmosphere is very comfortable, clean, warm and not too noisy. I'm not an expert on sports bars. But this is the best sports bar I've ever been to, and this is evident from the first minute when you enter this place. The toilet is clean. This is also important. We'll be happy to come again.

The table is sticky. The service was very bad, we waited a long time. The toilets weren’t clean and the waitress was very unpollite. In addition she didn’t return my change while I asked it 2 times!! She didn’t take my cash.. 😡🤬

We were at Joe Champs as part of our Christmas party and were extremely disappointed in almost all aspects that are important from a gastronomic point of view. The service was friendly when it came to drinks, but nothing more. Calling a guest Habibi after 2 minutes is too casual. The burgers were nothing special and relatively small in format. The 08/15 cheeseburger for €13.90 with a very small bowl of coleslaw is too expensive in terms of price-performance ratio. Fries, which were unfortunately cold, for an extra €3.90, weren't worth it either. The ambience is typical of a sports bar, but it's also a bit old. Positive: Christmas decorations are nice, toilet man is friendly. Lots of TVs and huge screens. With a little more effort in the quality of the food and behavior of the service staff, Joe Champs could become a really cool shop!

Went there for Thanks giving a few years back to have a few beers and watch the games. They advertised they will be showing American football. They shut it down mid game saying they were closing with a huge disappointment to everyone in there. Calling themselves an American sports bar and advertising the game then shutting it down... what a scam. Giving them another chance I went there with friends, one who has a disability. Even showing a disability pass they said no because they where disabled... I was there watching this screw them shame on this company never again.

Good experience in this bar / restaurant, we ate very well, the prices are very affordable and above all the welcome from Souleymane was perfect 👌 In addition to speaking French, he is extremely helpful and friendly.

We had dinner at Joe Champs today with two small children and had a really great evening. The ambience, food, drinks and service - everything was top. The kids were also welcome and even got something to paint with. Highly recommended and we were definitely not there for the last time :)

Always crowded, always loud. But you know that when you go to Joe Champs. Food is OK. We have already had a lot of experience with service. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good. It always depends. If there are new students who want to increase their pocket money, you have to bring time.

Super cool sports bar in a perfect location. In the middle of Cologne, Joe Champs with a top location is really one of my favorite spots to just have a relaxed drink in the evening. The food is also really good, both the finger foods and the burgers and sandwiches are always delicious. But the highlight is definitely the atmosphere in the store. Decorated like an old American diner, full of sports, especially American football. There are many TVs that mainly show football, both live and old games. I recommend everyone to pay the store a visit.

10/10 experience. I was in Germany for two days with my family and we found this restaurant which was really close to central. We decided to give it a try and it did not dissapoint at all. The staff is really friendly and they speak multiple languages. The food portions were bigger than expected which is something I always appreciate from a restaurant to ensure that to the food is value for money. Finally, the ambience was so cool with all the sports decoration and they had hispanic music in the background which I think made everything 100 times better. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in cologne with their loved ones.

The food is great but it takes really long time to get served! This means that the food is freshly cooked probably, so make sure you have enough time. The drinks come quickly! The people in the service are very nice but when it's full they might be too few.

Nice, well-designed themed shop...but: Yesterday we reserved a table for 20 of you and at first we couldn't take a seat because we were simply blocked in by neighboring tables. Food was mediocre at best and relatively bland. Quite expensive in terms of price. Bottle of water costs as much as three cases. The most negative thing was our male waiter: around 50, southern and not good German. Separate payment for 5 people, adding 2/3 things each, was probably so difficult, it took half an hour to do it. The owner was aggressive and unfriendly. He probably didn't like the fact that we justifiably gave hardly any tips because the service was simply bad. The young southerner at the entrance couldn't say hello or goodbye either. So for us there is definitely no repeat here. The very good reviews are a mystery to us.

Wanted to watch football. We then got a cold (overpriced) burger with lukewarm fries...to make matters worse, we had to vacate the place half an hour before the end of the game because the staff were unable to reserve a table for another group. It's crazy how a store can survive like this...👎🏼

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be🥺 -Some of the food was only lukewarm -Waiter listless and inattentive -even though there were very few guests there It's really a shame because I used to love going here. We are now seriously disappointed for the second time in a few weeks🙄
