Jausenstation Mallon in Annaberg-Buchholz

Finally managed to stop here after a hike. An old train station with a historic atmosphere. A garden area with wooden benches and parasols right next to the tracks, where the Erzgebirge Railway stops once every hour. A very friendly hostess with talented Tyrolean cooking skills. Our dog was welcome and immediately offered water. Very freshly prepared, delicious food at fair prices. Specialty coffees and freshly baked cakes – highly recommended. Delicious homemade ice cream. Beautiful dishes and cutlery from grandma's time. We'd love to come back again – thank you!

You have to know to find it. From the outside, you can't tell what's inside. We immediately felt at home. Delicious homemade cakes and homemade ice cream.

Rustic atmosphere, the food is freshly prepared and is highly recommended. There was a special menu on Maundy Thursday. The prices are very moderate. Absolutely recommended!

I never write anything in my reviews, but I can't understand the negative ones. We stopped by for lunch on our way back from skiing. Even though they were only supposed to be open for another half hour, we still managed to get something to eat. The food was ready quickly, tasted delicious, and was absolutely worth the price. Referring to another review: Why should they serve dishes from the Erzgebirge region when they advertise Tyrolean cuisine? And when you chat with the friendly owner, you casually find out why the place had been cleaned beforehand... We'd love to come back!

1☆ for the very good ice cream with fruit puree. 1☆ for the rustic old station flair with the 2-wing swing door and the ticket office. No ☆ for the slow service, The coffee ☕️ had long since been drunk and the ice cream sundae 🍨 didn't come and didn't come. The boss didn't help with the preparation of the ice cream sundaes either 🍨. No☆ for fighting over the bill. I almost had to beg for the bill. No ☆ for the overgrown outdoor area/beer garden with the risk of tripping. I've long since made peace with wasps; there were lots of them buzzing around us. You have to like wasps or convert them internally. The ice cream is very good and there is still a lot of room for improvement in the rest.

We all know that reviews can be bought. What you read here doesn't make any sense. I take the train six days a week at various times, and there's never anyone on board. I went in once and never again, and not just because of the price. Are we in Tyrol at the snack bar? No, in the Ore Mountains, where I expect Ore Mountain food. Well, they try a lot of things, first dry cleaning for wedding dresses.

An extraordinary location in an old train station hall. Great service, delicious and freshly prepared food. The menu is manageable but there is something for you. A really great and warm owner/cook. The dishes were tailored to the individual wishes of the guests. I can only recommend the snack station.

Very nice boss and nice service. Apple strudel fresh from the oven with cream and freshly made ice cream - great. However, the rooms aren't exactly comfortably warm right now.

A great address to eat excellently in a rustic atmosphere. An extremely nice, remarkable Austrian woman has put a lot of heart and soul into waking up an old train station from its slumber and is breathing new life into it little by little. If anyone is still looking for a job in the kitchen or in service, please contact us here and learn a lot from the operator's experience and culinary skills. We would love to come back!

I have to say, all respect for what the boss still does, it's still the old guard. Then this negative review, which I cannot understand in any way. First there is a very tasty homemade apple strudel with ice cream and cream, then before that there was a real Wienerschnitzel, nice and wavy, with fries and a small salad, then before that there was a pot of tea with a lemon squeezer from the 80s and not just a lemon slice Clapping, or lemon juice as a concentrate, everything is absolutely great, anyone who has a little patience will not be disappointed in any way. Will come again 💯💯🌞

Wer hier essen will muss sehr viel zeit mitbringen. Preis Leistung lässt zu wünschen übrig und habt lieber keine Ansprüche. Also Augen zu beim essen. ;⁠-⁠)

Super. Aber Ambiente ist ausbaufähig. Super lecker hausgemachter frischer Kaiserschmarrn. Hausgemachter frisch gebackener apfelstrudel Hausgemachtes lecker Eis.
