If you like sushi 🍣, you can go here, it's delicious and you have a good selection. The service is great, drinks and bowls are put away quickly. You should definitely make a reservation. I always enjoy going here.

Sushi quality isn’t that great but they atleast keep sending a lot of different kinds of sushi’s. There is one waiter however who is extremely rude. He kept shouting at us I wouldn’t go there again

Everything was good and the price was unbeatable, fast service, only EC card possible.

Today lunch with 6 friends and reservation. Opens at 12 p.m., they immediately tried to force 6 of us to a table. We preferred to choose 4 and 2 because that way you can choose the food better. The waitress was very angry that we did it like that, because the restaurant was very empty. That's very cheeky. The waiter we had was very attentive and friendly 😊 Unfortunately, the food at lunch isn't as good as in the evening, as we were told, that was disappointing 😢 The warm dishes go above and the sushi goes below. I ate here 25 years ago, but it's not as good as I remember 😢 Chicken nuggets, potato crockettes, fries with ketchup and some other things shouldn't be in a sushi restaurant. Price-performance OK at lunchtime, but could be better.

Despite the high volume, the staff responds to everyone individually and even asks for special requests if something is missing on the treadmill. The food is great and the staff is super friendly

There's really nothing to say about the lunch/buffet on the conveyor belt for less than €20 with 1 drink. Food was tasty, service was quick, even though we didn't make a reservation we got a table after 2 minutes. Sushi was also good selection. Gladly again

Jam Jam is often very busy, so reservations are definitely recommended. Overall, the all-you-can-eat offering is rather average – the highlight is the running sushi experience. The sushi itself has no wow factor and falls short of expectations. Unfortunately I won't be coming back here as I know better options in the city.

The food and overall experience were very good—until it was time to pay. As tourists, we attempted to pay with our Visa and Mastercard, only to be informed that the establishment’s card machine only accepts EC cards, a fact we were unaware of. Unfortunately, we did not have cash on hand. When I asked the waiter if we could pay via Revolut, IBAN transfer, or PayPal, he rudely refused and walked away laughing, sarcastically suggesting that we would need to clean the dishes instead. Following this, we were completely ignored by the staff. Desperate to resolve the situation, I approached a younger waitress, Xuejing, who was the only person willing to help. She kindly allowed me to send her the payment through PayPal, and I deeply appreciate her assistance. However, while I was completing the payment, the rest of the staff stood behind me, openly laughing and mocking me—a behavior that was both unprofessional and humiliating.This was an absolutely appalling experience, and while I am grateful to Xuejing for her kindness and professionalism, the rest of the staff demonstrated shockingly poor behavior that completely overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable visit.

We were actually always satisfied there, but for some time now the offer for the all you can eat buffet has no longer been satisfactory, especially for the price. You wait a very long time until something comes along that appeals to you, as sometimes only a few types of dishes are on the production line for a very long time, but they are several times. On our last visit, the vanilla sauce on the dessert was bad. We pointed this out to an employee, but the desserts with this sauce would still be left on the conveyor belt. There is also an employee there who is incredibly unfriendly. You can always have a bad day, but since we were there regularly until recently and there was unfriendly behavior on every visit, this seems to be standard for him. On our last visit, when we were being assigned our seats, guests who were about to leave came towards us and warned us that this employee was in a particularly bad mood today. Children/strollers were also met with an annoyed groan despite a previous comment in the reservation. A no go for us. We'd rather look for something else.

The food really tasted very good, there was something for everyone - every now and then some of the same things came one after the other and you had to wait longer for others. The furnishings are a little old and could be a little more modern. However, the toilets were very clean and there was enough toilet paper. Since the restaurant is relatively small, we were told that we only had two hours, but after an hour and a half we were pushed a little bit whether we wanted to order something else to drink (in the order-or-leave style to make room for new guests ), this happened about every 10 minutes and wasn't very pleasant.

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. The restaurant is busy and a reservation is always good. The food is delicious and has a wide variety of dishes. After about an hour you're done with everything. It will be difficult to sit comfortably and have a drink because the next guests are already waiting. I've been going here every 2 to 3 months since 2005. In my opinion, the relationship between price and performance is still correct even after the price increase. The selection on the treadmills is good for all-you-can-eat in the evening. The offer in the afternoon is noticeably thinner, but the price is also reduced. If you like it a little less crowded and less noisy, I recommend the afternoon. If you like it simply delicious with a large selection, I recommend the evening. However, despite having a reservation, you should be patient in the queue in the evening if you don't have a reservation right away when it opens. It can take 20 minutes+ until a table becomes available again. This will be because the guests do not get up from their seats on their own after the 2-hour all-you-can-eat time window. Which of course speaks for the good food :-) The service is good enough. You actually only need to order drinks if you don't order the menu items. I always order a bottle of sparkling water with 2 glasses for 2 people and that lasts well over the 2 hours. The empty sushi plates are cleared away quickly and there is always the opportunity to order something if you miss something on the conveyor belts. I have been coming there every 3 months for the last 2 years, even though I moved to Rhineland-Palatinate, and I continue to do so.

Four of us went to this Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere with the treadmills is great - the food is really tasty. There is something for every taste. Also great for vegetarians. The service is great. The plates are cleared away quickly so that you quickly have space again.

Anyone who likes Asian cuisine including sushi is in good hands here. We usually go there for the lunch buffet and the price-performance ratio is really fair. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to wait for certain foods until they are back on the conveyor belt, which is annoying. The staff is always really friendly and our plates were always cleared away quickly, so the service is really top. We always enjoy coming back.

The food always tastes good. The running sushi concept and prices are unbeatable. Quality is always top. The staff is friendly and helpful. All child friendly. In fact, just parking is a bit difficult, but it's also in the middle of Wandsbek and you can get there very easily by train. A reservation is always recommended. Ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious, so the house is always very busy.

Unfortunately we can't understand all the good reviews. The atmosphere is really not inviting. We were then seated at a very small table. The waitress just left us sitting, didn't explain anything to us and didn't come back. At some point we just started eating and got the information ourselves from the flyer. After about 10 minutes we were asked if we had already ordered a drink. We've often eaten sushi and Asian food, but never as bad as here. Among other things, there were packaged mini muffins from the supermarket. Unfortunately, the small table was cleared so rarely that my husband spilled his drink due to the lack of space. No one from the staff helped us, even though several people walked past. Left again after 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. Won't be coming back.

There are small sliding doors everywhere where you can take something from the conveyor belt right at the table. Jam Jam Running Sushi, Hamburg-Wandsbek – a big disappointment Unfortunately, our visit to Jam Jam Running Sushi in Hamburg-Wandsbek last weekend was a bitter disappointment. We were looking forward to the advertised special lunch buffet, but were sobered up after a few minutes. In reality, the so-called running sushi was hardly there. There was only a small selection of sushi available, and the few varieties offered were not only unappetizing but also poorly rolled, almost like a lump and not what you would imagine sushi to be. Instead, plates of fried noodles, potato croquettes and chicken nuggets that had little to do with sushi and didn't offer nearly the variety that should characterize a sushi restaurant were rolled on the conveyor belt in an endless loop. Even the reception was unpleasant. Even though we had reservations, we were greeted rudely and sent to our seats, with a staff member loudly shouting instructions across the conveyor belt, causing all the guests to turn around and immediately making us feel uncomfortable. Even the service couldn't save this bad first impression. The quality of the food was subpar. The sushi and the other dishes on the conveyor belt seemed old and not fresh. The plates were worn and partly cracked, which also didn't make for an appetizing picture. It gave the impression that leftovers from the previous evening had simply been placed on the conveyor belt. After almost 10 minutes it was clear to us that there would be no more variety here. The special lunch buffet for four people cost us 99 euros, which was absolutely not justified given the poor quality and lack of offerings. To make matters worse, our son reported that the toilets were in appalling condition. The floor was sticky and dirty, so when he left the restaurant his shoes were still stuck to it, spreading the dirt throughout the dining rooms. We've been here with friends in the past and loved it, but this time it was the exact opposite. The quality of the restaurant has deteriorated significantly, so we cannot recommend it under any circumstances - neither for the price nor for the quality of the food.

The buffet is varied and very tasty. We therefore tend to overeat 😉

It was our first time there and we really liked it. The sushi in particular tasted very fresh but the rest was also delicious. In my opinion there was a bit too small a selection of drinks, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very cool thanks to the treadmills. Not as modern as other stores but value for money is good.

The price-performance ratio is good, the staff is friendly and the food tastes very good. It is advisable to reserve a table if you want to eat there in the evening. The parking situation is tense. But diagonally opposite is Wandsbek Markt, a stop for many bus lines and the U1 subway line. So you don't have to go there by car 😉.

Not a classic sushi restaurant, but rather mixed Asian. Attentive service, delicious food from the assembly line, including dumplings and baked bananas. Lunch is worth the price, same selection but much cheaper. Come again!

It gets on my nerves so much that the waiters always stand in front of you after a maximum of an hour and ask whether you've had enough, even though the gentleman has seen that we're still eating. Suddenly he just clears our table. When I then took a piece of cake from the conveyor belt (out of spite), he apparently didn't like it at all and suggested that we sit at the front of the cash register near the chairs. I won't do that again for at least 30 euros per person.

There were two of us here. Food was delicious and we were full and satisfied. It's not cheap, but it's pretty cool to try it out. Staff is attentive and quick. The disadvantage if there are more than 2 people, it is always difficult for two people to reach the tape to get something out. Therefore, I would only recommend doing it with two people. (Personally, it would be too stressful for me, endless back and forth) There is a lot of choice hot and cold. As others have mentioned: reservations are necessary! Card payment is possible.

Average to below average sushi for just under 30 euros in the evening, rude service. Sellout atmosphere. There are significantly better sushi options in town.

We were here for the first time today. We liked it very much. The sushi was very tasty, the selection was large and the conveyor belts were constantly being restocked. The staff were friendly and quickly cleared the small plates from the table. The only small drawback: it was quite loud because of the many other guests. It wasn't possible to have a good conversation, which bothered me a little bit personally. But all in all a successful evening, we will definitely be back.

The good thing here is the diversity, because it's not just sushi. It is ideal for simply trying out sushi. If you or your companion doesn't like it, you can still get full. I ate sushi here for the first time in my life about 11 years ago. I haven't noticed any change in quality since then - everything is as usual, to my complete satisfaction. Since I haven't been here for about 6 years, I can say that with a clear conscience.

We were disappointed to find that most of the sushi options listed on the menu were not available at dinner time, including all the sushi rolls. The rice tasted stale, and the warm food had a ready-made quality. By the time we started the dessert, the selection had been reduced even more. Considering the price of 27.5 EUR, the quality and very little variety did not meet expectations and felt very overpriced for what was offered.

Sehr zufrieden, kommen jedes Jahr ob als Paar oder mit den Kindern gerne hier her. Im Oktober ist es endlich wieder soweit. 😊

I come specifically from Lübeck, the best running sushi I know so far

Very limited selection for vegetarians and chicken lovers. Waiters unfriendly and hectic, suddenly friendly when paying. We sat there, took a short break and suddenly our chopsticks were simply put away. Ambience: very crowded and loud when busy. A drink must be ordered with the evening buffet, otherwise an additional €2 service charge will be added. My sister got slightly sick from the treadmill.

All in all convincing. There was space at short notice, but I would still recommend making a reservation. The food is mostly very good for all you can eat standards and the staff is friendly.

We went there for a lunch and we were more than satisfied. Especially I often go to conveyor belt sushi restaurants and this was one of the best I've been to in terms of variety. It is a place worth visiting again.

I've known Jam Jam for many years and always enjoy going there for running sushi. The variety of different dishes on the small plates is really impressive and everything tastes really delicious and is absolutely fresh. The lower level is for cold dishes such as sushi and this is also specially cooled, the upper level is for warm dishes. Unfortunately, despite the instructions on the sliding doors, some guests do not understand that the doors should be closed again after they have been taken out and not left open all evening. But that's why the lower area is actively cooled and it doesn't pose a problem. I'm really looking forward to my next visit to Jam Jam. Tip: it's better to call in advance and reserve a table so that you don't have to wait so long.

Have been here very often. The quality is decent. The mix/selection of cold and hot dishes is very diverse. This way, everyone can try everything and try their favorites again. If something is out of stock, especially if you are sitting at the end of the line in a strategically awkward position, please feel free to ask or express your wishes. Then you can get something delivered straight to you. Last time we were even asked several times whether we were missing something or whether we wanted something specific again... Always happy to come back

I went there spontaneously with my wife without a reservation. The anteroom was full of people waiting, the mood was annoyed, some had been there for 45 minutes. An older, quite unfriendly lady with very poor language skills answered the question in the affirmative as to whether it was possible to have sushi off the line and a la carte. After about 35 minutes we were seated at a table by another older, not very friendly lady. She then automatically wanted to impose twice all you can eat. When I said I wanted to eat a la carte, she just said: Not possible. Asi, I said that I had informed your colleague about this, but she just said again: It's not possible and sent us away from the table. I'm assuming that your colleague didn't "get" this due to her language skills and her general annoyed state...but the main thing is to always say "yes". Impossible behavior, I've never experienced anything like it! In retrospect it was clear why half of the people waiting were pretty annoyed.

Called beforehand to see if there was anything available, when you arrived there were over 10-12 tables available, you were seated in the dirtiest corner from where you couldn't even grab your food, and you were spoken to directly by the unfriendly employee The whole time (even though there were so many tables available) and then left the shop The shop looked good, the employees weren't that good, I had no idea about the food, didn't have a chance

Nice experience but not the best quality of sushi

Highly priced, but absolutely justified. Very tasty sushi, all you can eat with an absolutely full band, almost no gaps, and everything you could wish for is on it. I have rarely eaten such good sushi. The ambience is also very nice and the employees are also very polite.

It's been more than a week since I came to Germany. I really wanted to eat sushi, so I came here, which my girlfriend found on TikTok. The standard of sushi is so low that it's a trauma. The salmon alone was quite delicious, but the sushi was so unbelievable that I was disappointed. It was sticky, or rather, it was ridiculously sticky. I wanted to eat rice, but I felt like... To be honest, I felt like throwing up. Is the owner Chinese? I could eat Chinese-style fried food normally. The fried crab claws were delicious. The steamed bread looked like it had been left out for several hours and was dry and not edible. I think the service is friendly. So I think taste is the only big issue. Also, this is not sushi, but something similar to sushi. Looking at the reviews, I'm surprised that so many people are satisfied with it. I hope someday I can eat delicious sushi at this price.

Love the food and staff are also nice. Love how you see your meal coming past on a belt and you can try new things. Only downfall is not being able to identify the sushi rolls that quickly.

A very good running sushi! Just as we expected. We reserved a table and had to postpone our reservation. This wasn't a problem. After we were there, we sat down directly at a table and started. There was more than enough sushi. Also different variants. Both cold at the bottom and warm at the top. When a particular variety didn't appear for a while, I asked if it was possible to get some of it. And less than 3 minutes later they were there too. Great service and quick response from the team!! The empty plates were cleared away very quickly. We had a plate that was simply too spicy for us and it was also cleared away without any comments (I've had a different experience). The ambience is simple and tidy, but we didn't expect it to be luxurious, so everything was completely fine! We left the store full and satisfied. Many thanks to the entire team for this achievement. We'll definitely be back.

A cool thing and it's really fun. But you don't have a lot of different sushi. There is only maki salmon and cucumber. The rest are filling foods and fried foods. And at that price...

Unfortunately I'm not satisfied at all. The waiters there were very unfriendly. Our time wasn't over yet, but the waiter was pushing hard because other customers were waiting to be seated. That's not my problem if it's disorganized. When I came in, I didn't know whether I should go to the waiter who was preparing the drinks behind the counter or to the waiter who was with the customers. Without a greeting he asks for my first name. Unfortunately, I'm really not at all satisfied with the service. I also think the prices are really expensive, but if the service had been good, it would still be somewhat okay. Will avoid the store in the future.

We found the ambience and the food very good. There are two treadmills, each with two floors. The warm dishes above, the “cold” dishes below. There is also the option to eat “a la card”. The all-you-can-eat is limited to two hours. However, it is not recommended for a cozy and relaxed evening. When we visited, only one treadmill was active because it wasn't full at the time. The guests present were enough for a treadmill. The problem when new guests came. Instead of putting the second conveyor belt into operation, we were asked to go through the sushi or the family behind us was asked to change tables. After an hour we were outside again. Full, yes, but it wasn't a nice evening.

Be sure to reserve in advance as places are limited.

Yesterday the 3 of us ate at Jamjam and we were all very happy, it tasted delicious and the two cellars were super nice, the whole team was very friendly. It was a lovely evening, highly recommended ☀️

Excellent selection of sushi and also warm dishes. If something is missing, it will be refilled immediately if you ask for it. Very nice service. The guest room could be a little more comfortable.

Running sushi, warm food above, cold food below... The shop is dark, but very friendly and therefore inviting... We often eat there in the evening when we arrive in Hamburg as it is only a 5 minute walk from our favorite hotel. It definitely tastes good there. For my taste, however, there could be a little more choice and also a few alternatives to the fried things. All in all, a visit is definitely worth it!

Went there for dinner today with four people. It was an absolute disgrace that we were asked after an hour whether we were ready. The waitress came every two minutes to ask questions because they wanted to fill the table in a hurry. The food was very tasty, that's why it gets five stars.

A really great experience! The waiter was so friendly. After I mentioned that I was on a vegan diet, he naturally explained what was available and passed it on to the kitchen. After 10 minutes he brought a large sushi platter with only vegan sushi. Very attentive & wholesome! I didn't have to pay anything extra, it was just really nice! Thanks so much!
