Friday evening: busy, but got a good seat...friendly service, no long wait, very good food both in terms of quality and quantity. Wonderful! Oh yes: prices are in line with the quality/quantity...

The food was very good, but it wasn't completely filling, so we ordered multiple portions. As a result, the bill was, of course, very high per person. It's a bit of a shame, because the food deserves a repeat.

The food was delicious. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The service was very good, and the staff were very friendly. My only criticism: My companion and I found the room a bit cold; we were a bit cold. But I can recommend the Jailhouse, and I'll definitely be back.

It's simply perfect. The ambiance is just right, and the food is really good value for money. 👍🏻

What a shame. Our former favorite restaurant has now disappointed us three times over. The staff is overwhelmed and irritable, and the food is unfortunately inferior, but the prices are very high. It's very sad what the Jailhouse has become. :-(

After a long closure and some redecorating – the interior now better showcases the name, with gems on America's most famous crime bosses, among others – the Jail House has reopened under new management. An institution in Tölz, one of the sadly rare nightlife spots these days, a cozy bar/burger house/beer garden. Highly recommended, always worth a visit, and not least known for the numerous festivals/events that glorify mainstream America. On my last visit, a relaxed, casual atmosphere was palpable. Without a reservation, I was shown to a table directly by the bartender, barely sat down, received my menus, and asked about my preferences. The service was excellent. Everything was fine, so far. Only the food didn't impress me; it arrived piping hot, but I wasn't impressed with the taste. I'll try it again another time. Otherwise, an absolutely top-notch restaurant!

The ambiance is definitely worth seeing. Everything is decorated with a bit of a prison feel. The burger with bacon was tasty, but nothing special. The onion rings were served in an original way.

The place is awesome. Weekend with US cars, Harleys, and various bands. The €8 entrance fee was reasonable, though. Just check the opening hours online.

We were there for the Jailhouse Festival. The location was great, and the organization was great. The dinner at the Jailhouse itself, even though it was so busy, was super fast and really friendly. I can't comment on the burger, but the salad was great. The festival was also great. So many nice people. We traveled all the way from Hesse and would love to come back.

Ordered a burger for €16.80. What they served wasn't worth the money. The patty was of the cheapest quality. The patty was dry, and the lettuce was bitter and old. The fries were cold and also destined for the trash. The atmosphere was really nice, but the food was disastrous. Anyone who gives this place 5 stars has never eaten a good burger.

From the moment you arrive at the door, you realize you're not really welcome here, and the extremely rude service completes this impression. Maybe we just picked the wrong day. Food: Kaiserschmarrn used to be good; it's been a while since it was homemade here. But at least the food was expensive. Best wishes from Tölz to Tölz.

The Jailhouse, with its American-style dining experience, is absolutely worth a visit. The staff was super friendly during our visit. The food was attractively presented and tasted really good. If it weren't so far away, we would eat there regularly.

There's nothing to complain about in the beer garden or the service. The burgers (Cheese €16.20, Hot Rod Bacon €16.80, each without a side dish) are unfortunately not worth the price. They're dry, industrial buns and industrial patties, with rather carelessly toppings in between. For the price, I expect and know better quality.

Unfortunately, the burgers aren't good value for money; they're too expensive. For those prices, they should be higher-quality products. Unfortunately, I can't recommend them. 🌟🌟🌟

Disappointing Visit to the Burger House Our visit to the Burger House was unfortunately disappointing. Due to renovations, the indoor area was closed, so we had to sit in the beer garden. Not a problem in itself, but the service left a lot to be desired. The staff was unfriendly and uninspired, which further spoiled the experience. The wait was particularly annoying: We had to wait a full 40 minutes for our burgers – even though the beer garden wasn't overly busy. When the food finally arrived, we were extremely disappointed: While the burgers were visually appealing, they tasted nothing special – and were definitely too expensive. (Without sides.) Overall, the value for money here isn't right. Given the current competition from burger joints, I expect better service, shorter wait times, and above all, fair prices. A visit we won't be repeating.

It used to be a favorite place. I was actually looking forward to a steak. But €34 is a bit steep. So I had a burger. The patty was nicely browned, but the inside was still partly raw. My wife's was the same. It's a shame, a beautiful outdoor area on the Isar.

Of course, this location, with everything that goes with it, can be recommended wholeheartedly. Here, passion and brains are combined!! These perfect events, the fantastic location all around, simply fantastic! 👍The local city fathers can be proud to have such creative minds in their ranks. Hopefully, they'll keep these creative minds in the somewhat antiquated Bad Tölz 😇🙏🙏🙏 We always come back with friends!!!

We've been going to Jailhouse regularly for years and have been very satisfied every time! The food is always delicious and typical American diner food – just as it should be. The service is super friendly, welcoming, and always has a good joke ready. A place with character and charm – we'd definitely be back!

Something different :-) Everything is pretty extravagant here, the food is okay, but the service depends on who you get. We were quite hungry and were not disappointed; we were well-fed and well-priced.

I recommend this restaurant because of its beautiful heritage and ambiance with drinks, but the food didn't impress me because of the price and of course the taste.

Luckily we had reserved in advance and got a table for everyone (20). We were there exactly at 3:00 p.m. when the restaurant opened. Very well decorated, you feel like you are in America :) The service came quickly and first to take the drinks and then later for the food. She then came again for drinks.... and again.... After 60 minutes of waiting, the food finally came.. The fries were still just warm... At least the burger was good. 2 burgers with Pomeranian & 3 non-alcoholic drinks 60€ Oh well. Too bad...

So you really have to say that I'm very impressed here. Service is first class. You are immediately treated well and served super quickly. Super well organized!! Food is very good. It's not for nothing that it's always fully booked on weekends. We got a place at 5 p.m. on Saturday without a reservation. Very authentic restaurant/bar/experience!

Mega!!! The decoration is awesome, the first impression is great. We got a great table, perfect for me with walking difficulties, even though we hadn't even made a reservation. The burger is a dream, crispy bacon, 300g burger patty: a dream! We will definitely be back soon!

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Cocktail und sind per Zufall hier gelandet. Spitzen Cocktails zu erschwinglichen Preisen. Nach einem Blick in die Speisekarte haben wir dann beschlossen am nächsten Abend wieder her zu kommen und was soll ich sagen.....eine sehr gute Entscheidung! Ich möchte behaupten einer der besten Burger die ich je hatte!! Lokal so gut wie ausgebucht, trotzdem bekamen wir auch ohne Reservierung einen Tisch. Nach dem Essen sind wir an die Bar gewechselt um noch einen Cocktail zu trinken. Das ganze Team super gut drauf, schnell, freundlich. Absolute Empfehlung !!!!

This time the jailhouse was very decorated for Christmas. It's crazy how much effort and time you put into this. The food was delicious as always, please add the Hungarian goulash to the normal menu. ;-)

Stopped in with a friend on the way past. Interesting decorations for Christmas, completely in the US style with lots of decorations and lights etc. Food (burger & sandwich): Meat could be a little juicier, sauces could also be a little tastier. Very interesting sink in the sanitary area, really good idea 💡 Service quick, appropriate and friendly. So all in all it's a solid shop, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to food. after (the prices gave me slightly higher expectations)... Therefore only 3 stars from me, sorry...

We visited Jailhouse for the first time yesterday and were absolutely satisfied. The location is unique, really kitschy decorated for Christmas, friendly staff, the boss himself runs from table to table asking if everything is right, singing along loudly (and really well!)...I personally found this to be very positive, you can literally feel it that he loves what he does. Our steaks were excellent, tasted great, not cheap in price but absolutely justified. Salad dressing was delicious and the salad was varied and fresh, the meat tender and well seasoned. The chocolate brownie was super delicious. Cocktail was also super tasty. We would definitely recommend the Jailhouse and if we are in the area again, we will come back!

Went there with grandma today and the two incredibly attentive and lovely men Hannes and Damien helped us walk grandma up and down the stairs. They were both right there both coming and going. Top service, we were all happy + the coffee and specials were on the house. Much love <333

I was very happy to eat a good burger and so I went to the jailhouse. What I got? Absolute impudence. Bottomless prices for frozen goods. I'm happy to pay €23 for a burger and fries. But not when everything comes from the freezer and tastes like nothing. I can't recommend this place to anyone and I definitely won't be coming back. If you're hungry for burgers, you'd rather go to McDonald's than this!

Nice American style biker restaurant. The food was ok, although not cheap. The service was friendly. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back again. We found the design of the toilets quite funny, you don't see something like that very often.

Today was my first time here. Halloween decor is awesome. A unique atmosphere. Only the service was a bit lethargic, but the food was good.

Very good, tasty American & Bavarian cuisine, good stable portions, you feel like you have landed in a piece of the USA and the cocktails were also super good, you can definitely do that! Clear recommendation

Good food in a special environment

We finally made it to the jailhouse. We were very impressed by the food, the mega location and of course the friendly service. Oh and the singing bartender in the background can't be missed.

Burgers are very good. Conditions and ambience are also great. The only thing is that the iced tea is not homemade.

I was very satisfied. I had the Rat Rod Burger with cheese and wedges. The homemade burger sauces are very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of spiciness, as people in Germany are actually used to "spicy" not really being spicy. The restaurant is lovingly decorated in a retro-American style and therefore provides a nice ambience. The waiters are friendly. Price-performance is right. I'm looking forward to stopping by the biker/US car meeting next season. Keep it up!

The food was very good and the portions were reasonable. The atmosphere is American, rocker-like, there is something to see everywhere The toilets are in the basement and the concept was continued here. The outside area also looked very inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that we had already looked at the menu online with an Android phone; unfortunately it no longer corresponded to the price list in the store. After asking and researching the staff, it turned out. That if you look at the menu online on the website with an Android phone the old prices are displayed and if you look at the website with an iPhone the new prices are displayed. A bit confusing but the staff was amazed themselves and I think they will definitely take care of this bug on their website. All in all, I can highly recommend the American Diner.

We've been coming to the Jailhouse for years, on different occasions. There were always ups and downs, but overall it was always a nice place with good food. Now we were here again, lunchtime, Sunday... We had already noticed that the side entrances and the one from the Isar had been closed, it doesn't look nice, there would probably be something better than barrier tape. You are directed to the front entrance with signs. A board here too...wait...aha...welcome feels different. Well, now we've made it to the beer garden, the service is friendly and quick. Looking at the map makes you rub your eyes in amazement. Hello...cheapest burger €14.20? Without supplements! Salads all around €20...A pair of Käsekrainer with potato salad €15.20. T-bone steak €38 without side dishes. After we could see dishes at the next tables, we simply ordered 2 shandies and left. Well guys, I understand...but that's really completely wrong. Price-performance ratio and all that. Too bad.

Great atmosphere, had burgers which were quite good, their potato wedges are perfect! The design is quite amazing inside and the music matches perfectly!

Guys, you can't charge €19 for a salad that consists of the cheapest lettuce and few other ingredients and has 6 chicken wings on top!!?? Bread with it costs extra! And charge €18 for a very small veggie burger without a side dish…that’s not possible! Even if the food is delicious. In retrospect, I was really annoyed and will therefore no longer come to eat with you! Too bad 🫤

Fantastic experience in this place straight out of a Tarantino movie. Place, among other things, a destination for motorcyclists and motor rallies. The The place is very captivating, a bit hard rock café, a bit a collection of American style memorabilia. On two floors, with a large horseshoe-shaped counter in the center and an important chandelier. Burgers and good food in on-the-road style. Very kind service. The bathrooms are also very particular. The beer is good (where it isn't here) but the kids had fun too. Obviously it's a place that's a bit more for adults.

Absolute recommendation! Mega tasty burgers, cool ambience and super cool service. When we are back in Bad Tölz, we will definitely come back!

spar ribs was quite good. Recommend! Chicken wings was bit too dry. The drinks was not mixed well. The Apfelschorle tasted first like nothing and the taste came after 1/3 glass.

Wonderful American diner style restaurant. Great food! And you can't stop looking. Very well furnished. Music lovers will enjoy it.
