IWI'S Hopfen und Malz in Illingen

Das Essen ist absolut in Ordnung. Geschmacklich gut und die Portionen sind ausreichend groß. Wenn viel los ist, sollte man eine längere Wartezeit einplanen, bis die Bedienugen ab und an einen sehen und an den Gisch kommen, um z.B. die nächste Getränkebestellung aufzunehmen. Sie sind nett und freundlich, aber bei Vollauslastung zu wenig Personal. Wir werden sich wieder kommen, da wir sehr positiv überrascht waren. Man kann eine Besuch durchaus empfehlen und wird sicher nicht enttäuscht sein.

War jetzt schon 3x mal dort und kann nur sagen top. Sehr freundliches Personal. Essen ist Klasse. Ich kann es weiterhin nur empfehlen. Man fühlt sich dort sehr gut aufgehoben. Man bekommt was für sein Geld.

Leute wenn ihr ein tolles Restaurant mit einer mega Atmosphäre sucht, dann noch gut essen möchtet. Frisch gezapfte Bier von verschiedenen Marken, dann seid ihr dort genau richtig uns es hat es sehr gut gefallen. Das wird jetzt ein stammlokal von uns.

Volles Haus ist kein Problem, darauf waren wir vorbereitet. Aber nach 30 Minuten Wartezeit saßen wir immer noch vor den benutzten Gläsern der Vorgänger und durften nicht mal eine Bestellung aufgeben. Während der Nebentisch vom Kellner aufmerksam bedient wurde, wurden wir zweimal ignoriert. Wir sind dann enttäuscht gegangen. Ein Satz mit X – das geht definitiv besser!

Gutes Speiselokal, zeitgemäss attraktiv gestaltet. Unsere Hauptgerichte waren einfach angerichtet, solide zubereitet und schmackhaft, dazu leckeres Dunkelbier. Unsere Desserts waren ansprechend angerichtet und lecker. Der Service leider durchgehend recht konfus aber sehr freundlich.

Sehr schönes gasthaus ,man kann gut drinnen sitzen , nette Bedienung und Klasse essen, klare Weiterempfehlung 👌

Super schöne Location. Essen ist super. Immer wieder gerne wenn ich zu Gast im Saarland bin.

Hundefreundlich inkl. Wassernapf. Große Portionen, bin „rausgerollt“. Zwar nicht *außergewöhnlich* lecker, aber durchaus schmackhaft. Toller Beilagensalat, allerdings. Netter und aufmerksamer Service.

Wir waren gestern in diesem Restaurant essen und waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Besonders der Geruch des Essens war äußerst unangenehm. Sowohl die Käsespätzle als auch das Schnitzel hatten einen sehr starken unappetitlichen Geruch, der den Appetit sofort verdorben hat. Geschmacklich konnten uns die Gerichte ebenfalls nicht überzeugen. Die Pommes und der Salat waren sehr schlicht und kaum gewürzt, und insgesamt wirkte das Essen sehr fettig. Schade, denn wir hatten uns auf einen schönen Restaurantbesuch gefreut. Leider war unser Erfahrung so negativ, dass wir nicht noch einmal wiederkommen werden.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Das „IWI’S“ hat mich gestern Abend total begeistert. Das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich. Besonders das hausgemachte Rahm- Champion Schnitzel war ein kulinarisches Highlight. Danke an Koch :) Komme gerne wieder! :)

Schönes Lokal gutes Essen. Leider mittags geschlossenen

Ein richtig tolles großes Braulokal. Es ist mit Sicherheit im ganzen Saarland eines von ganz wenigen Lokalitäten das komplett so gebaut ist, das bewegungseingeschränkte Menschen ob mit Rollator, Rollstuhl oder Krücken sich dort wohlfühlen, weil sie keine Stufen überwinden müssen. Sehr wichtig ist es das man vorher reserviert, da die Lokalität sehr gut besucht ist, damit man nicht umsonst hin fährt. Der Service ist auch sehr gut und die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich. Das Lokal bietet sich auch sehr gut an für sehr große Feierlichkeiten aufgrund eines großen Nebenraums.

Service mit Abstrichen ok. Bedienungen waren freundlich, Wartezeiten waren trotz wenig Betrieb lang und es wurden teilweise falsche Getränke gebracht. Das Ambiente ist nach wie vor schön. Das Essen war kaum genießbar. Saucen vom Geschmack her vermutlich aus dem Päckchen, Anrichtung lieblos. Burger geschmacklich ebenfalls ganz schlecht mit Soßen ebenfalls wahrscheinlich aus der Tube und das Fleisch war trocken sowie geschmacklich einfach nichts. Die Jalapenos waren einfach nur sauer und sehr wahrscheinlich aus dem Glas. Obwohl das Ambiente wie bereits geschrieben immer noch schön ist, kann ich wegen des Essens insgesamt nicht mehr als 1 Stern geben. Offenbar hat der Besitzer kürzlich gewechselt, vorher war das insgesamt wirklich ein ordentliches Restaurant

Sehr gutes Restaurant/Wirtshaus es gibt eine ordentliche Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken, der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente lädt zum verweilen ein und es lohnt sich auch einfach mal nur auf ein oder zwei Bier vorbeizukommen

Lange nicht mehr so ein Gutes Schnitzel gegessen! Und das Steak von meiner Begleitung war auch auf den Punkt. Das Personal war auf Zack und hat sich gut um uns gekümmert. Alles in allem ein runder Abend, wie man sich das wünscht. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Essen war gut, portionen waren ok. (Rahmschnitzel) Man hat keine Internet oder Emfpfang innen. Daher sollte man Nachrichten oder so vorher absenden. Kostenloses WLan wäre für die Location vielleicht eine Idee. Da man echt nicht erreichbar ist wenn man in der Location drin ist.

Die Speisenauswahl ist typisch regional, abwechslungsreich und verbindet bekannte Klassiker mit einer frischen, modernen Note. Die Gerichte sind großzügig portioniert, wunderbar abgeschmeckt und wirken durchweg hochwertig. Besonders positiv: alles wirkt mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet, ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack – einfach richtig gutes Essen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Es gibt eine Auswahl guter Biere und Getränke, die perfekt zum Wirtshauskonzept passt. Wer in Illingen und Umgebung leckere, deftige, ehrliche Küche sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ein tolles Wirtshaus, das man jederzeit gerne weiterempfiehlt!

Wir waren zufällig wegen eines Konzerts im IWI'S und was soll ich sagen: Das Ambiente, das Essen und vor allem das Team sind großartig! Es fühlt sich ein bisschen an, als wäre man schon ewig Stammgast. Ich als Vegetarierin war total begeistert von dem vegetarischen Burger. ​Ich hoffe wirklich, wir haben noch einmal das Glück, dort vorbeizukommen.

Lediglich zwei Bedingungen für das komplette Lokal. Leider kein Blick für leere Gläser. Zu essen gab es den Burger der absolut maximal durchschnittlich war. Bestellungen wurden mehrfach falsch aufgenommen und abgerechnet.

One thing's for sure: Hops and malt have certainly never been lost there. I'd love to come back.

I've been to Iwis several times now, and I'm always impressed. Whether outside on the beautiful terrace or inside in the stylish, cozy ambiance, you immediately feel at home. The food is simply super fresh, flavorful, and varied. The drinks are also refreshing, especially the homemade lemonade. I was also completely satisfied with the service. For me, this is one of the best restaurants in the area; I'll definitely be happy to come back again and again.

No, I can't. The service was completely overwhelmed, just like the kitchen. Four people were there, and it took forever for a server to come to our table. We ordered drinks and waited a long time for them to arrive. We ordered food, and after ages, three dishes arrived. My meal was simply forgotten by the kitchen staff. It was brought after the other three were almost finished. As an apology, we each got a free coffee. So, no thanks, I won't be going to this place again.

I've been there several times since it reopened in June and have always felt very comfortable. I've sat both outside and inside the restaurant. I really like the rustic ambiance of the restaurant. The food has always been plentiful, fresh, and delicious; the salad dressing is especially recommended. The service is excellent; you could tell at first that the team was still finding their feet (which is completely normal). On each of my visits, the service has been friendly and courteous.

Today, nine of us were at IWI'S Hopfen & Malz. Despite the pleasant temperatures, we weren't allowed to sit outside, but that was actually okay. We ordered our drinks, and our food order wasn't taken until our drinks were already empty and we pointed out that we would like to order. The waitress seemed annoyed. At least, her face spoke volumes. Two of the nine finally got their food, which they ate after a while, possibly waiting to eat together, before it got completely cold. The two were finished, their plates were empty, and the other seven still had nothing to eat. After we complained, the waitress seemed even more annoyed. There was a problem in the kitchen, the orders had gotten mixed up. Things like that can happen, but they shouldn't. And then you could go to the customers, apologize, and explain the whole thing, instead of just doing nothing and standing behind the counter with three people. We then received our food as if at the push of a button, as if the food had been waiting in the kitchen only after our complaint. Unfortunately, the quality of our food was more comparable to that of Lidl or Aldi. The schnitzels seemed dry, the cheese on them was no longer fresh but had already dried out, the chicken wings tasted only of frying oil, and the burger patties were cooked so dry that you'd think the meat had suffered a second death. The irritated waitress didn't serve us again for the rest of the evening. The other waitresses saw our empty glasses and empty plates, but they never cleared them, nor were we asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We had to repeatedly get up and find the waitresses ourselves, whether to ask about our food, place an order, or ask for the bill. The coffee and espresso already smelled burnt and... SURPRISE! It tasted burnt too. The desserts (two cakes with liquid centers) took half an hour to reach our table. Rumor has it that the chocolate for the cake had to be made first. All in all, it was a truly unpleasant evening, and we won't be visiting IWI'S again. When you reopen a restaurant after closing, you'd expect some effort from the kitchen and service. Otherwise, it could have stayed closed.

Sorry guys, this can be better. 15 minutes waiting for the drinks menu, another 15 minutes until the drinks arrived at the table. Reorder? Another 15 minutes. I also waited 15 minutes to pay – in the end, I went to the cash register myself and paid there. And that was even though the place was only half full. I had the homemade burger. The portion was generous, but the taste was rather average.

Old name, new service... The food was good and plentiful. The waitresses were friendly, but very clumsy. Many small mistakes that could be overlooked if... yes, if the guest weren't supposed to pay for them. Instead of a children's plate, an adult meal was served. After consulting the waitress, we were told that it would be booked. Well, our daughter accepted that, even though it differed from the original order. But when it came to the bill, no one wanted to hear anything about it. They had already eaten, and there was nothing they could do about it now. I found this situation very unfortunate. We will avoid this restaurant from now on and do not recommend it. Mistakes aren't dramatic, but you should take responsibility for them yourself and not let the guest pay for them.

A truly lovely inn with super delicious food and friendly service! The schnitzels are crispy, the Käsespätzle are beautifully seasoned, and the salads are fresh – there's something for everyone. We recently ate at IWIS with two families. Once and never again! The food portions were very small, so we didn't fill ourselves up. The prices for each portion were very overpriced. Therefore, the value for money is not justified. The service was absolutely terrible. After our meal, we waited 80 minutes!!! for someone to ask if we wanted something to drink. Despite repeatedly pointing this out, no one came to our table. The children would have liked to order their dessert. But then our patience finally ran out. We then went to the cash register to pay and went to the ice cream parlor to get our dessert.

The atmosphere and food were truly top-notch, and the staff were also incredibly friendly. However, we didn't want to, or couldn't, stay long because of the horribly uncomfortable wooden chairs, reminiscent of 1970s schoolrooms. Seat cushions could at least help.

I went to the restaurant with my son for the first time today. Great location with the water playground right outside. I ordered a cream schnitzel for myself and a children's schnitzel for my little one. Even though we're both really big eaters 🤷🏽‍♂️, I still had some left over, which I had packed up. All in all, not only are the portion sizes great – the taste also leaves nothing to be desired... many thanks to the team for a wonderful lunch with you! We'll definitely be back 👍🏻

The newly opened restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere in the center of Ilingen. The service was as I would expect in any other restaurant. Nothing special, but nothing negative either. The food, in my opinion, was simply not good. The taste was average at best. There was no salt on my potatoes, and I wasn't offered any sauce, at least ketchup or something, which made the dish very bland and dry. There was no salt or pepper on the table either, so I couldn't add any more seasoning. All in all, a place that personally disappointed me.

Delicious food at Iwis after the reopening. We got a table outside even though we didn't have a reservation. Outside, almost all the tables had "reserved" signs, yet half of them were empty, and we were there for well over an hour. Despite that, and despite three employees tending to the few occupied tables, the service for both of us was abysmal! First, a wheat beer came instead of the Radler we ordered. After complaining, a Pilsner was brought – we then had to change it ourselves at the bar. We weren't brought a menu, but after several requests, we ordered anyway – the menu is available online. When the food arrived, the cutlery was missing, so we got it ourselves from the empty table next door. I then ordered a Coke, which I'm still waiting for... We paid the bill without a single cent of tip. Surprised faces, but no questions asked as to why or how. Bad day or normal situation? I won't go there again.

Food and service were very good. I had the rustic burger and my wife had the cream schnitzel. Both tasted good and were reasonably priced at around €20. What was a bit unfortunate was that my debit card didn't work. In the next restaurant at Burg Open Air it worked again. Hence the one star deduction. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant

Had the veggie burger. Unfortunately far too fat. The Käsetaler was breaded and fried. The burger bun was soaked in fat again. And apart from 2 slices of cucumber, there was also a leaf of lettuce, which unfortunately didn't do anything to counteract all the fat. Worst burger ever.

Were invited there for a birthday and it was very good, especially the food! However, as with most restaurants, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Had to wait a long time for service and therefore also for the drinks. You could also earn more money...

A good home-style restaurant that appeals to me in almost all aspects. The food here tastes very good and also gives me a little Bavarian vibes. The drink selection is also large and beer lovers will have fun here! There are tables with taps! You can also order a latte with different beers on it that you can try. The atmosphere is really great and you can recognize parts of the old Höll building. The service is always nice and courteous. The prices are top. A real enrichment for Illingen in my opinion.

We go there often with the family and it's always good. The selection on the menu is not huge, but sufficient. What's on offer is really tasty. There are also daily specials. The tavern atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of places outside. The service is very friendly and quick. The different schnitzel variations are highly recommended, but the pulled beef burger also looked really great. The salads are also very varied and beautifully designed. The portions are large. There are also plenty of beers and desserts to choose from. We will definitely come back.

The place is very impressive. Large spacious restaurant, nice decor, nice terrace outside. They have a large selection of drinks here. The food is delicious and the portions are really huge!
