No, I can't. The service was completely overwhelmed, just like the kitchen. Four people were there, and it took forever for a server to come to our table. We ordered drinks and waited a long time for them to arrive. We ordered food, and after ages, three dishes arrived. My meal was simply forgotten by the kitchen staff. It was brought after the other three were almost finished. As an apology, we each got a free coffee. So, no thanks, I won't be going to this place again.

I've been to Iwis several times now, and I'm always impressed. Whether outside on the beautiful terrace or inside in the stylish, cozy ambiance, you immediately feel at home. The food is simply super fresh, flavorful, and varied. The drinks are also refreshing, especially the homemade lemonade. I was also completely satisfied with the service. For me, this is one of the best restaurants in the area; I'll definitely be happy to come back again and again.

I've been there several times since it reopened in June and have always felt very comfortable. I've sat both outside and inside the restaurant. I really like the rustic ambiance of the restaurant. The food has always been plentiful, fresh, and delicious; the salad dressing is especially recommended. The service is excellent; you could tell at first that the team was still finding their feet (which is completely normal). On each of my visits, the service has been friendly and courteous.

Today, nine of us were at IWI'S Hopfen & Malz. Despite the pleasant temperatures, we weren't allowed to sit outside, but that was actually okay. We ordered our drinks, and our food order wasn't taken until our drinks were already empty and we pointed out that we would like to order. The waitress seemed annoyed. At least, her face spoke volumes. Two of the nine finally got their food, which they ate after a while, possibly waiting to eat together, before it got completely cold. The two were finished, their plates were empty, and the other seven still had nothing to eat. After we complained, the waitress seemed even more annoyed. There was a problem in the kitchen, the orders had gotten mixed up. Things like that can happen, but they shouldn't. And then you could go to the customers, apologize, and explain the whole thing, instead of just doing nothing and standing behind the counter with three people. We then received our food as if at the push of a button, as if the food had been waiting in the kitchen only after our complaint. Unfortunately, the quality of our food was more comparable to that of Lidl or Aldi. The schnitzels seemed dry, the cheese on them was no longer fresh but had already dried out, the chicken wings tasted only of frying oil, and the burger patties were cooked so dry that you'd think the meat had suffered a second death. The irritated waitress didn't serve us again for the rest of the evening. The other waitresses saw our empty glasses and empty plates, but they never cleared them, nor were we asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We had to repeatedly get up and find the waitresses ourselves, whether to ask about our food, place an order, or ask for the bill. The coffee and espresso already smelled burnt and... SURPRISE! It tasted burnt too. The desserts (two cakes with liquid centers) took half an hour to reach our table. Rumor has it that the chocolate for the cake had to be made first. All in all, it was a truly unpleasant evening, and we won't be visiting IWI'S again. When you reopen a restaurant after closing, you'd expect some effort from the kitchen and service. Otherwise, it could have stayed closed.

Sorry guys, this can be better. 15 minutes waiting for the drinks menu, another 15 minutes until the drinks arrived at the table. Reorder? Another 15 minutes. I also waited 15 minutes to pay – in the end, I went to the cash register myself and paid there. And that was even though the place was only half full. I had the homemade burger. The portion was generous, but the taste was rather average.

Old name, new service... The food was good and plentiful. The waitresses were friendly, but very clumsy. Many small mistakes that could be overlooked if... yes, if the guest weren't supposed to pay for them. Instead of a children's plate, an adult meal was served. After consulting the waitress, we were told that it would be booked. Well, our daughter accepted that, even though it differed from the original order. But when it came to the bill, no one wanted to hear anything about it. They had already eaten, and there was nothing they could do about it now. I found this situation very unfortunate. We will avoid this restaurant from now on and do not recommend it. Mistakes aren't dramatic, but you should take responsibility for them yourself and not let the guest pay for them.

A truly lovely inn with super delicious food and friendly service! The schnitzels are crispy, the Käsespätzle are beautifully seasoned, and the salads are fresh – there's something for everyone. The outdoor terrace is incredibly cozy and invites you to linger – especially on warm days! The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend the Illinger Wirtshaus 👌🍻

The atmosphere and food were truly top-notch, and the staff were also incredibly friendly. However, we didn't want to, or couldn't, stay long because of the horribly uncomfortable wooden chairs, reminiscent of 1970s schoolrooms. Seat cushions could at least help.

We recently ate at IWIS with two families. Once and never again! The food portions were very small, so we didn't fill ourselves up. The prices for each portion were very overpriced. Therefore, the value for money is not justified. The service was absolutely terrible. After our meal, we waited 80 minutes!!! for someone to ask if we wanted something to drink. Despite repeatedly pointing this out, no one came to our table. The children would have liked to order their dessert. But then our patience finally ran out. We then went to the cash register to pay and went to the ice cream parlor to get our dessert.

The food was very, very good, everything fresh and plentiful. The service was very friendly and attentive. We can recommend it with a clear conscience :-)

I went to the restaurant with my son for the first time today. Great location with the water playground right outside. I ordered a cream schnitzel for myself and a children's schnitzel for my little one. Even though we're both really big eaters 🤷🏽‍♂️, I still had some left over, which I had packed up. All in all, not only are the portion sizes great – the taste also leaves nothing to be desired... many thanks to the team for a wonderful lunch with you! We'll definitely be back 👍🏻

The newly opened restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere in the center of Ilingen. The service was as I would expect in any other restaurant. Nothing special, but nothing negative either. The food, in my opinion, was simply not good. The taste was average at best. There was no salt on my potatoes, and I wasn't offered any sauce, at least ketchup or something, which made the dish very bland and dry. There was no salt or pepper on the table either, so I couldn't add any more seasoning. All in all, a place that personally disappointed me.

Typical brewery fare. Very tasty and beautifully presented. Portions are also generous. Definitely worth a visit.

Very tasty food, large portions attractively presented and you can taste that everything is fresh and homemade... the Champion cream sauce is a dream 🫶🏻... we like to come to IWI's Essen regularly because the staff are also really friendly and nice!!!

Delicious food at Iwis after the reopening. We got a table outside even though we didn't have a reservation. Outside, almost all the tables had "reserved" signs, yet half of them were empty, and we were there for well over an hour. Despite that, and despite three employees tending to the few occupied tables, the service for both of us was abysmal! First, a wheat beer came instead of the Radler we ordered. After complaining, a Pilsner was brought – we then had to change it ourselves at the bar. We weren't brought a menu, but after several requests, we ordered anyway – the menu is available online. When the food arrived, the cutlery was missing, so we got it ourselves from the empty table next door. I then ordered a Coke, which I'm still waiting for... We paid the bill without a single cent of tip. Surprised faces, but no questions asked as to why or how. Bad day or normal situation? I won't go there again.

Food and service were very good. I had the rustic burger and my wife had the cream schnitzel. Both tasted good and were reasonably priced at around €20. What was a bit unfortunate was that my debit card didn't work. In the next restaurant at Burg Open Air it worked again. Hence the one star deduction. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant

Were invited there for a birthday and it was very good, especially the food! However, as with most restaurants, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Had to wait a long time for service and therefore also for the drinks. You could also earn more money...

Had the veggie burger. Unfortunately far too fat. The Käsetaler was breaded and fried. The burger bun was soaked in fat again. And apart from 2 slices of cucumber, there was also a leaf of lettuce, which unfortunately didn't do anything to counteract all the fat. Worst burger ever.

A good home-style restaurant that appeals to me in almost all aspects. The food here tastes very good and also gives me a little Bavarian vibes. The drink selection is also large and beer lovers will have fun here! There are tables with taps! You can also order a latte with different beers on it that you can try. The atmosphere is really great and you can recognize parts of the old Höll building. The service is always nice and courteous. The prices are top. A real enrichment for Illingen in my opinion.

We go there often with the family and it's always good. The selection on the menu is not huge, but sufficient. What's on offer is really tasty. There are also daily specials. The tavern atmosphere is cozy and there are plenty of places outside. The service is very friendly and quick. The different schnitzel variations are highly recommended, but the pulled beef burger also looked really great. The salads are also very varied and beautifully designed. The portions are large. There are also plenty of beers and desserts to choose from. We will definitely come back.

Maybe I was just unlucky or Iwi's had a bad day, but this was by far the worst burger I've ever eaten. The meat was cold and the pretzel roll was completely soaked with fat. And the service also left a lot to be desired. A pity.

I haven't eaten such delicious fries out for a long time, they're wonderfully crispy. The schnitzel was also great, with tasty breading. For dessert there was panna cotta. I can only recommend.

Very nice, home-style restaurant. You always get a table, in summer even with an outside terrace. You are always welcome in a nice atmosphere with a few people in the evening for a beer and a good home-style meal such as boiled beef, stuffed meat or a salad with Camembert. Price performance is absolutely ok and feasible even for a small family. Very friendly and courteous staff. All dishes are also available to take away. So it's great if you prefer to stay on the couch on Sundays.

War gestern kurzfristig und nicht geplant ins IWI´s eingekehrt. WAU ! Tolles Ambiente, sehr aufmerksames Personal, tolles Essen und eine Top Bier Auswahl. Hätte ich so nicht unbedingt in Illingen erwartet. Das ist eine gastronomische Bereicherung. Jetzt geh ich noch einmal mit meiner Frau und Familie hin. Sehr zu empfehlen. Hier fühle ich mich wohl ! ***************************************************************** Ich war gesundheitsbedingt mehre Monate nicht mehr im Iwi´s und war etwas überrascht, welche harsche Kritik hier im Internet geübt wurde. Auch diesmal war alles Bestens. Eine gute Küche, ein tolles Ambiente mit angenehmen Gästen, freundliches Personal und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut passend. Warum man sich als Gast so negativ öffentlich äussern muss, bleibt wohl das Geheimnis des Schreibers. Ich persönlich finde es nicht in Ordnung, dass man die Gastronomie so negativ und unzensiert einfach beurteilen darf, um Ihnen einen Schaden zu zufügen, gerade in dieser doch schwierigen Zeit. Wenn es keine Gastronomie mehr gibt, fängt das Jammern wieder an. Ich für meinen Teil möchte Euch weiter in der Sache bestärken. Laßt Euch nicht unterkriegen, Ihr macht das super und das besagen ja auch die vielen positiven Beurteilungen. Für meinen Teil war alles wieder perfekt, macht so weiter !!! Dieser Meinung waren auch meine 12 Gäste.

Zusammen mit einem freund besuchte ich das IWIS im August 2023. Die Empfehlungen unserer Kollegen und Bekannten waren vorab durchwachsen und eher verhalten, sodass wir uns ein eigenes Bild machen wollten. Ambiente: Das Lokal sieht schick aus, jedoch wirkt es im Kontext eines Wirtshauses eher konzeptlos. Essen: Ich bestellte ein Schnitzel "Försterin Art" für 19 Euro und erwartete ein frisch zubereitetes Schnitzel, welches seinem stolzen Preis gerecht wird. Erhalten hatte ich zwei Tiefkühlschnitzel mit Fertigsoße. Meine Begleitung bestellte die "Wirtshaus Currywurst" für 13 Euro. Auch diese war bestenfalls okay. Getränke: Die Getränke waren insgesamt gut. Leider wird als Bier nur Krombacher angeboten, was mir für ein "echtes" Wirtshaus eher dürftig erscheint. !!! Nach mehreren Kaltgetränken im Gesamtwert von ca. 30-40 Euro bestellte ich noch zwei Leitungswasser, welche mit jeweils !!!1, 80 Euro!!! berechnet wurden (Ein Liter Leitungswasser kostet derzeit 0,2 Cent). !!! Ich hatte die Bedienung auf diesen Umstand angesprochen und gefragt, ob es sich um ein Versehen gehandelt hatte. Hierbei entgegnete sie mir, dass sie da nichts machen könne, da es eine Anweisung ihres Chefs sei. Bei mir kam als Kunde an: "wir haben es so nötig, dass wir ihnen 1, 80 Euro für ihr Leitungswasser berechnen müssen". Fazit: Ich habe noch nie eine google-Rezension geschrieben, jedoch war ich nach dem Besuch des IWIS sehr verärgert und wollte hiermit sowohl die Betreiber, als auch zukünftige Gäste auf die Umstände (Stand: August 2023) aufmerksam machen. Auch nach weiterem Austausch mit Bekannten, bestätigten diese meine Wahrnehmung "viel Geld wenig Qualität".

Leckeres essen, nette bedienung, angenehmes ambiente 👍jederzeit wieder

Gerne komme ich hier her zum Essen, mittlerweile ist die Akustik im Restaurant wesentlich besser geworden! Da das Wirtshaus gefühlt immer gut besucht ist, empfiehlt sich zuvor an zu rufen und sich seinen Platz zu sichern. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich (persönlich mag ich sowas sehr) und wechselt gelegentlich. Das Personal ist auch bei Stoßzeiten aufmerksam, flott und freundlich! Egal ob jung oder „alt“ Schade finde ich, das hier bereits um 21:30 Uhr geschlossen wird, wir wären hier gerne als länger verweilt bzw. nach dem Kino noch vorbei gekommen.

Wir hatten Mädelstreffen und waren begeistert. Selbst das Personal war locker und für ein Späßchen zu haben. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 🥰

Immer wieder gut! Wir waren am Wochenende ohne Tischreservierung da, haben trotzdem einen Platz bekommen. Das Essen war lecker, wir mussten nicht lange warten und das Personal ist immer freundlich!

Schönes Wirtshaus mit typischen Gerichten wie Schnitzel und Käsespätzel. Essen ist lecker und schnell am Tisch.

Dem Iwis fehlt es an Spirit, das Essen ist langweilig, der Burger war auch nicht hip. Die Bedienung war allerdings gut und freundlich. Wenn es dem Koch an Ideen fehlt sollte er aufhören. Es wäre schade um dieses schöne Lokal, es hat was besseres verdient. Fängt an richtig gut zu kochen und die Gäste werden es lieben.

Wir waren heute mit 3 Personen Essen im Iwi's und waren schlussendlich sehr begeistert. Ambiente,herzlich, warm und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Vorallem hat mich die angenehme Akustik beeindruckt, was wohl den grossen Akustikdämmplatten an der Decke geschuldet ist.Da kenn ich genügend andere Locations, in denen man sitzt wie in einer Bahnhofshalle, in der man sein eigenes Wort nicht mehr versteht, wo angenehme Lautstärke Ambiente oft ein Fremdwort ist.Hier hat der Architekt ein Gespür für gehabt Note 1. Für den Service und dessen Freundlichkeit gibt es volle Punktzahl.Da gab es überhaupt nichts zu mäkeln. Einmal Lyoner mit Bratkartoffeln,wie man sie echt saarländisch kennt waren überaus lecker..vorallem mal ""BRAAATKARTOFFELN"" die auch wirklich gebraten waren, nicht eben mal die kurz angegarten goldenglänzenden Pellkartoffeln, die man oft sonstwo serviert bekommt. Meine Frau hatte dann einen Pulletpork Burger namens"Rustique",dieser war vorzüglich serviert, mit ausgesprochen leckerer Barbecue Sossee, nicht zu rauchig, nicht zu süss jedoch ein zarten sauren Touch.6 Mein Schnitzel Förster Art mit sehr leckeren grossen Pommes und einem gemischten Beilagensalat war gigantisch. Das Dressing steht dem "meinen" in nichts nach und ich behaupte von mir, dass ich Dressing kann.Die Pilzrahmsosse war vorzüglich,da muss ich noch mit dem Koch verhandeln, damit er mir sagt, was er da feines in die Champignon Rahm-Sosse tut, um jener das gewisse "Etwas" zu verleihen?!War es Cherry, Portwein oder Weißwein, ich war entzückt und das krieg ich noch raus.... 😉 Einzig etwas verwirrend, war die Feststellung,daß ich im tiefsten Saarland Krombacher statt das "Blonde"vom Karlsberg bekomme, obwohl mir diese auch sehr gemundet hat aber schon etwas mutig im "Revier"aber der Geschäftsführer wirds schon wissen...😊🍻 So nun aber Schluss,ich geb dem Ganzen volle Punktezahl,wir kommen wieder, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Wir waren zu zweit am Sonntag gegen 14 Uhr dort. Aussen waren bereits viele Tische reserviert aber da wir etwas früher dort waren bekamen wir trotzdem einen. Das Ambiente war drinnen und draußen sehr ansprechend. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Die Speisekarte war groß genug und die Portionen auch. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Leckeres Essen in tollem Ambiente. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch vorher einen Tisch zu reservieren, da wir (2 Personen) an einem Dienstagabend im Sommer leider keinen Tisch mehr im Außenbereich bekommen konnten. Aber drinnen schmeckts genau so gut und beim nächsten Mal reservieren wir vorher 😉
