Delicious, especially the tomato salad, super good, friendly, cozy, recommended, we'll go there again

Today for the first time on Wangerooge and here in the restaurant. Overall 5 stars, food including starters top, very nice staff, prices also great. At the time we were there we were allowed to choose a table. Drinks and food were quickly taken to order

Very tasty pizzas, super friendly service, great mood and super quick. We all felt very comfortable. Gladly again!

The restaurant impresses with delicious food, a fair price-performance ratio and flexible, friendly service. In addition to the Kruse fish restaurant, the “Italian Love Story” restaurant on Wangerooge is our absolute favorite restaurant. Even with eight people, tables were always put together and accommodated for us in a friendly manner. My favorites are the mussels in white wine sauce and the recommendation of the day, lamb chops with grilled vegetables. This was one of the tastiest lamb dishes I have ever eaten. We also really enjoyed the pizza, soups and pasta. We tried (pretty much) everything on the menu. This year we were there 3 times with 8 people. The portions are really generous. Ein sehr gemütliches und freundliches Restaurant, das tollen und schnellen Service bietet, leckeres Essen hat und zudem noch sehr faire Preise für die Insel! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder.

The most unmentionable restaurant on the island. Great spaghetti carbonara, great fries, meat on point and timely serving - everything the opposite - I don't understand the good opinions here. Do these people never ever eat out or do they come from places where there is no service / no good food? Or are you inspired by the great beach and island flair? I even include the ambience because there are so many good locations there that you should go to

Iced coffee and Aperol spritz haven't been as good as they are here for a long time. The day was warm and the journey by car and ferry was strenuous. A refreshment like this was just right! Plus the inviting ambience and friendly, casual service! Everything was right. The prices are also reasonable at €6.60 for the iced coffee and €6.00 ​​for the Aperol spritz. After all, Wangerooge is a tourist area. And on vacation you can finally treat yourself to something (good)!

One of the two female waitresses was anything but friendly. When we asked her to bring us vinegar and oil because the mixed salad was missing the dressing, she just put a bottle of oil on the table without saying a word. The mixed salad also consisted mainly of a few leaves of green lettuce. The pastas were OK. The other service, on the other hand, was very friendly and nice.

The little inconspicuous Italian in the pedestrian zone, Walking through town in the afternoon, I took a quick look at the map and was immediately amazed at the cheap prices. Without a reservation, getting a table was no problem, even at peak time around 7:30 p.m. The conditions were friendly and very accommodating, it took less than 30 minutes from ordering to the dish being served. The portions are decently sized and the menu offers something to suit every taste. Unfortunately, there is a small reduction in the ambience as the outdoor terrace becomes quite dark as the insulation increases. The music selection was rather inappropriate for an Italian restaurant; I would have preferred some Italian music in the background.

The order was taken without concentration. After waiting for over an hour, one of four dishes ordered was not served as ordered. A discussion in front of all guests led to an unpleasant atmosphere. Regarding the food, the vegetables served with the good quality salmon consisted only of a very small amount of potatoes and a slice of eggplant. Seat cushions would be an advantage outdoors, especially with the longer waiting times that can be expected.

Unfriendly greeting and when I didn't pay exactly the right amount, the money I paid too much was of course withheld as a tip (mind you when I picked up the pizza).

Very good pizzeria with delicious food and friendly staff. The ice cream is also great. We'll be back.

The four of us had reserved a table outside in the evening. Ordering the drinks was largely uncomplicated. After a long wait, the unfocused boss finally ordered the dishes, but complicated it due to his inability to correlate the dish names we had mentioned with the corresponding menu numbers. My short summary of the order, which was made with a view to avoiding potential further problems, was nodded off - slightly stressed. Unfortunately, instead of the ordered Greek salad, an unordered dish arrived. Instead of a confident and professional quick settlement of what was in itself a completely excusable oversight, there was an endless, incessant and completely unnecessary discussion about the question of whether I had ordered a shrimp dish instead of the salad I had ordered, a type of meal that I have eaten throughout my life I have always consistently avoided it. Ultimately, the salad came and the impression remains of a restaurant that is unfriendly to customers, opinionated and devoid of any entrepreneurial foresight. Since most of the other dishes, namely the two salmon dishes (the pizza was good), were not convincing on a culinary level, we will certainly not visit this restaurant again.

We had reserved, but still only got the table on the street. We got the food after an hour. With the excuse that there is a larger company inside. I'm wondering why this isn't taken into account when making the reservation. Since it was quite fast on the street, my pizza was unfortunately cold halfway through. It's a shame because it tasted very good. I then had to pay extra for the box to take the leftovers with me. I probably won't come back again.

One of the best pizzas ever, even beyond the island's borders.

Die Pizzen waren lecker und nicht geizig belegt. der Preis war angemessen. Das Servicepersonal war überfordert aber sehr nett. ABER Irgendwie hatte der Koch eine Pizza Margherita gemacht statt Thunfisch Zwiebel. Die ging zurück. Als dann die Pizza Thunfisch kam, war sehr deutlich, dass auf die Margherita nur der Thunfisch und die rohen Zwiebeln draufgelegt waren und nur erwärmt worden war. Thunfisch war lau und Zwiebel waren roh oben auf der Pizza. Ohne dass noch Mal käse drüber gewesen wäre. Wir haben 2 mal diese Pizza zurückgehen lassen und leider immer die selbe Pizza wiederbekommen....nach nochmal 5 min im Ofen. Das geht ja garnicht. Letztendlich haben wir die gegessen, Weil wir hatten ja Hunger. Die Pizza burrata kam ohne Rucola und musste ebenfalls zurückgehen und erneut serviert werden. Traurig vor allem: keine Entschuldigung und auch keine Anstalten, als Entschädigung etwas vom Preis nachzulassen. Das war einfach nur schlecht.

Food was rather lower midrange and the service was very poor. Unfriendly and inattentive. In my opinion there are much better alternatives.

Wir hatten vorher einen Tisch reserviert und haben einen schönen 2er Tisch bekommen. Der Service war aufmerksam und schnell. Die bestellte Pizza war innerhalb kürzester Zeit auf dem Tisch. Wein und Wasser waren gut gekühlt. Es war so richtig lecker! Eine knusprige leckere und richtig heiße Pizza! Wir haben nichts zu meckern! Volle Punktzahl!

So we actually wanted to eat there but we weren't served. Although there was nothing going on - only two other tables were occupied - the waiters were probably too polite to bring us the cards. After 20 minutes we left. I have never experienced anything like it!

Quite ok, had the tortellini panna (unfortunately the portion size is very small), my husband and my children had pizza which was ok, unfortunately 2 pizzas were incorrectly topped. Tiramisu was acceptable. Ate ice cream there again 1 day later, unfortunately it was only ok, but the service staff were nice.

Very excellent food. Very good Italian cuisine. Tomato soup delicious, pizza very tasty, better than Venezia. Staff friendly, despite the mega stress in the store. Great.

Ordered pizza for pickup on Thursday. Instead of tuna there were mushrooms. That “pleased” my son a lot. Apologies were short and sweet. Making new and proper pizza was out of the question for the restaurant. Overall, we left the restaurant at 7:40 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. with the pizza we had ordered.

We have been spending our summer holidays on Wangerooge for years. We have been regulars at this restaurant since it opened. We love Italian cuisine and are “extremely” satisfied with the diverse range of dishes on offer. The menu is very extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. In summer there are also special daily offers... The boss and the entire service team are very friendly, open-minded and always very helpful. It is in the busy holiday months (June, July, August). Makes sense to reserve a table early... Overall, a great Italian restaurant centrally located with a nice atmosphere.. 👍👍👍 By the way, there is also an extensive and delicious ICE CREAM RANGE...🍦🍧🧁 BUON APPETITO….

It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious calzone pizza. The two of us sat outside here in the best weather. The location of the restaurant is of course perfect and, above all, very cozy. The service was very attentive and looked after us well. We'd love to come back!

The meal was okay. The service was slow, a drink was forgotten, no request despite empty glasses. It was cleared away while the food was still being eaten.

Disaster, waited 1.5 hours for the food. Not reasonable with a small child.

Pizzas were very tasty and the salad was very fresh. The ice cream for dessert was also very good and the scoops were really big. Service was very nice and attentive even though we were there at rush hour. Overall, nothing to complain about and would recommend.

It took almost 30 minutes from ordering to receiving the appetizer plate. It was not clear why others got their food beforehand and came later. After the good starter plate, it “only” took another twenty minutes until the main course. Apparently my daughter got a normal portion instead of a children's portion. The main course (tortellini with gorgonzola cream sauce) was tasty but not outstanding. Unfortunately, in the end we couldn't tell whether we paid for the full portion or a children's portion because we didn't have a receipt. The staff was nice, when they pointed out that there was some salt missing in the food, they nodded… What I don't understand at all are the ashtrays outside on the tables on the covered terrace, nice for the smokers at the next table who enjoyed their cigarettes while we ate with our child. Not tasty and we won't repeat it...

The food is good, but the service still needs improvement. Sometimes you have to wait a long time for unknown reasons. Nevertheless, the bottom line is that it is a good restaurant. Children's menu available 👍

Extensive map! We all decided on pizza...the dough was great!! The topping was ok, but not a highlight either! First of all we had bruchetta, unfortunately portions of different sizes and lots of roasted flavors.. The Aperol is served in a long drink glass, I personally don't like it that much. Red wine in a white wine glass, so there's room for improvement here! For dessert there was ice cream on hand - very tasty! The service is friendly but semi attentive.. Reasonably priced! Toilets were sparkling clean✔️

The service was really good and really attentive. We once had the tuna salad and the Greek salad. The taste is very good but 80% “just” green salad. They were looking for tuna and corn, as well as olives and cucumbers. Definitely not a recommendation for the price, tasty but too expensive for a side salad

Wir hatten einen Aperitif, Pizza und Wein zum Abendessen. Alles war sehr lecker und die Pizza wie man sie erwartet schön belegt, schmackhaft frische Zutaten und mit knusprigem Teig. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hat auch professionell die Spezialitäten des Tages angeboten. War ein schönes Abendessen.

It's a shame when the waitress walks past three times for no apparent reason before serving you

Unfortunately disappointing... Even though we were there an hour before and had reserved a table, they didn't know where to take us... To place the order we had to wait 30 minutes and then ask for it ourselves, even though they were at our table came by very often. Clearing up and paying was just as difficult... Other guests were treated more favorably in Germany, which could also be seen in the fact that some got a limoncello when they left, others didn't... Food was ok, but not what I mean by good pizza.. .

A real love story 😊 It was really great, Gamberoni al Cognag, Bruschetta con Tonno, salad with Parma ham and mozzarella and pizza bread, everything was very tasty! For us, the best meal on Wangerooge so far... and we have already tried seven other restaurants... we'll be back, we'll still be on the island for a while!

I had a pizza with broccoli and peppers. And it was super delicious! The edge wasn't dry and tasted like something. I would eat here again, even though I remember the restaurant being a bit too dark.

We were served very friendly and had delicious food. I can highly recommend the Spaghetti Frutti di mare, for me it is a perfect dish that I would happily eat again and again!

We were in the mood for some good Italian food this evening and decided on this place. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The Primitivo served was the worst wine I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. Lovely (!) and with a strange aftertaste. The first time I didn't drink a wine. The mixed antipasti were quite nice, but primarily salami, ham, olives, broccoli. For 20 euros I expected more. No bread was served. Upon request, we were given pizza bread - on our account. Overall, communication was difficult because the waitress barely understood any German. The main courses were all good (pizza, pasta, meat) - hence 3 stars.

Gladly again - simply recommended for an island - an employee was unsure of the German language - the order was brought with a "different drink" = Kiba instead of beer - would have been swapped - but I drank the Kiba with pleasure.

Very good food! I ate there 4 times during my vacation. The second time it didn't taste quite as good, but it was still great! The staff was super friendly, but some of the waiters couldn't speak German. But they still tried to understand me and largely succeeded. The owner was very nice and willing to have a little chat. Tables, chairs and floor were very clean. The ambience was nice. The prices were typical for the island.

Absolute recommendation. Great food, top quality and super nice staff. Went there twice on vacation and both times it tasted very good and we felt really comfortable.

We had dinner there the day before yesterday. We entered the restaurant promptly at 5:00 p.m. and were warmly welcomed by the waitress and taken to our table. There was already cutlery and 2 menus there. A quick glance over and found the prices to be “humane”. I ordered a calzone, my girlfriend ordered a pizza with Parma ham and we also had a tomato salad and 2* 0.4 soft drinks. The calzone was very good, the dough was really tasty. The friend's pizza also tasted good and the tomato salad was spicy and nice and rustic! When we finished eating, we ordered a Ramazotti. This one came without ice, lemon and was warm, but there is no criticism, everyone drinks it the way they want and the amount was "lavish". When it came time to pay (~40€), I pointed out to the waiter that the Ramazotti was missing from the bill. He was visibly embarrassed and said that his colleague had written it on the table and that it wasn't on the bill. I asked how much it cost and I already had a €5 note in my hand, but the waiter patted me on the shoulders and said "It's on the house". So: Surely something is going wrong in this store. I don't want to rule that out. When we were eating there in the off-season, it was a really successful overall package of friendliness, ambience, price and performance. If you want to grab a quick pizza, you've come to the right place!

We generally go here when we are on holiday on Wangerooge. The food is super tasty and tolerable, special requests are fulfilled wherever possible. The map is extensive. There is a large selection of ice cream at the front counter. The staff is friendly and hardworking. The restaurant is clean and stylishly decorated. It has a covered terrace where you can sit protected from wind and weather. So recommended.

the best pizza and tiramisù of the seven islands and germany.

We went to the Italian restaurant with a group at the weekend. Our mood was excellent and we were hungry. The mood of the staff was bored, as if we weren't wanted here. After everyone had ordered, the drinks arrived at some point. I would say within a reasonable time frame. Although we weren't sure at first whether the wheat really had alcohol in it, because that's what we ordered. Then the food came with pizzas, pasta dishes and salad. The one starter with pizza bread was great. The main courses were too salty and one of our group had to go home because she suddenly felt very sick. This was the case with some of our group and everyone had pizza with cheese. One salad was a disaster. White cabbage schnitzel with corn and frozen scampi with canned corn sauce for 14 euros. Yes, even if there was a complaint, payment had to be made. During the night some people struggled with stomach problems, I had such cramps that I was about to call the doctor. Ibu then helped. Even 2 days later, some people still report a restless stomach. We have been to this restaurant many times and so far the food has been okay, service has been okay. But after that evening, that was the last visit there. Even if this restaurant goes into winter break, they should deliver fresh and good goods. We didn't get the impression, especially with the salad it looked like we were using up leftovers.

Ihr Lieben... wir waren 1Woche auf Wangerooge und wurden so herzlich von euch allen aufgenommen - besonders unser "bello". Selten so liebe Menschen erlebt! Gastfreundlichkeit wird hier ganz groß geschrieben: BESTE ITALIENISCHE KÜCHE von ganz FRIESLAND.. leider wirklich wahr! Super Service, tolle Küche! Auch das Eis können wir wirklich nur empfehlen :-) Erholt euch gut und wir freuen uns auf das nächste Jahr!!!

Sehr leckeres Essen : Vorspeise, Schweinefilet und Dessert... Aber das Beste an diesem Abend war der charmante und kompetente Lucca,der lächelnd gezeigt hat,was großartiger Service ist! So geht Urlaub!

Telefonische Bestellung schlicht nicht möglich- es geht einfach keiner dran. Pizza zum Abholen dann persönlich bestellt. Leute, plant, egal was Ihr in diesem Restaurant sucht, genügend Zeitreserven ein, es dauert alles etwas länger. Das Personal ist nicht unfreundlich, aber, vorsichtig formuliert, südländisch locker, dabei hektisch unterwegs, aber leider deswegen nicht etwa schnell oder gar effektiv. Man braucht halt gute Nerven ... Positiv: Das Warten lohnte such, die Pizzen sind durchaus gut. Nachtrag, 1 Jahr später: Nix verändert, nix dazu gelernt, telefonieren zwecklos. Wartezeit auch nach frühzeitiger (persönlicher) Vorbestellung viel zu lange, man steht herum wie bestellt und nicht abgeholt, während jede Menge Kellner um einen herum wuseln. Nichts von wegen "Entschuldigung, dürfe wir Ihne eine Grappa anbiede?" oder so ... Pizza ist nach wie vor recht gut. Zweiter Nachtrag, wieder ein Jahr später (Herbst 2023): waren nun mehrmals im Restaurant zum Essen. Pizza, Pasta und Muschelgerichte waren durchgehend sehr gut. Im Sinne von "Sehr gut"! Der Service ist abhängig von der jeweiligen Person schwankend, jedenfalls nach wie vor nicht optimal, daher nur 4*. Fazit: Man muss halt dranbleiben ...

Wir (3 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder im Kindergarten- und Grundschulalter) haben in den Herbstferien 2023 um ca. 18.30 Uhr spontan einen Tisch bekommen und wurden sehr freundlich und zügig bedient. Das Essen (Pizzen und Nudelgerichte) war ausgesprochen lecker und die Preise waren moderat.

Das Essen war wunderbar und die Bedienung Carmelo war sehr freundlich und hatte sehr gute Empfehlungen für uns.

Eine tolle Mischung aus leckerem Essen, freundlicher und zuvorkommend Bedienung und ansprechendem Ambiente

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen. Waren in einer großen Gruppe dort und mussten leider ein bisschen länger auf das Essen warten. Trotz der an der Decke angebrachten Lärmdämmplatten war es recht laut in dem Lokal. Portionen sind groß und für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Pizza Mimma und der Grillteller waren sehr lecker. Die Peperoni zur Vorspeise waren leider nur angemacht und nicht gegart, daher ein wenig zu scharf.

Wir waren 3 Abend zum Essen da das Essen war super lecker und die Speisen frische zubereitet. Personal war sehr freundlich. Leonardo war sehr zufrieden mit liebe Grüße.

Original italienische Küche im hohen Norden. Von Sizilien nach Wangerooge.

Waren zeitig dort 16.25 Uhr. Bekamen die Karte und gaben die Bestellung auf. Nach 60 Minuten noch nichts zu trinken/ essen. Auf Nachfrage tat man so als wären gerade erst gekommen. Versprochen wurde sofortige Bearbeitung. Eine Pizza verbrannt die andere nur halb fertig. Noch keine Getränke zu dem Zeitpunkt!! Nicht zu empfehlen, hinzu kommt Stühle mit Vogelkot beschmutzt.

Ein bisschen Italien in Wangerooge. Leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente.

Das war lecker. (Bei Bedarf) glutenfreie Nudeln mit ganz viel Meeresfrüchten - super. Die Pizza herrlich knusprig. Kinderteller Spaghetti Bolognese reicht für eine 7 köpfige Raupe. Kurz: empfehlenswert.

Leider kein schöner Abend. Mit einwortsätzen zeigte uns eine wenig motivierte Kellnerin einen Tisch in der hintersten Ecke des Lokals, obwohl nur ein Tisch auf der Terasse besetzt war und das Lokal auch während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht ausgebucht war. Auf die Frage nach einem Kinderstuhl brachte sie uns genervt einen und ging wieder, ohne die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Ein anderer, freundlicher Kollege nahm unsere Bestellung auf. Das Essen war in Ordnung, mehr aber auch nicht. Wir hätten gerne noch Getränke bestellt, jedoch kam kein Kellern mehr. Unser "winken" wurde gekonnt übersehen und so erging es leider auch unseren Tischnachbarn.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen war sehr gut und empfehlenswert.

Ich war mit meiner Oma dort und wir dachten uns wir trinken einen Kakao mit Sahne bzw. Oma einen Cappuccino mit Sahne und essen ein schönes italienisches Eis. Leider hatten sie schon am Vormittag kaum mehr Eissorten und die die kamen hatten wir so gar nicht bestellt. Leider sprach die Bedienung so gut wie kein Deutsch aber als ich ihr dann auf Italienisch antworten konnte war sie absolut baff und sie war echt freundlich. Weiterempfehlen würde ich es dennoch leider nicht

Einer von mehreren Italienern auf dem "Boulevard" von Wangerooge. Die Karte: bietet einiges zu akzeptablen Preisen, die Köche scheinen es drauf zu haben, geschmacklich nicht enttäuscht worden. Service: freundlich, zuvorkommend, nicht aufdringlich, hier und da hapert es mit unserer spräche, aber hey: wer in ein italienisches Restaurant geht, muss damit rechnen, dass la famiglia nicht zu 100% feinstes Hochdeutsch spricht, sondern du dich mit deinen paar Italo-Sprech-Phrasen durch die Karte arbeiten musst! Also: nicht motzen!!! Ambiente: okay, ist eben ein Tourist-Hotspot an Deutschlands Nordseeküste bzw. auf einer klitzekleinen Insel in der Nordsee. Nett eingerichtet, nicht abgewrackt, sauber, ordentlich, prima.
