As a starter we had snails de la Casa, which are exceptionally prepared, very tasty and a salad that could use a little more balsamic vinegar. Both pizzas were thin, crispy and delicious. The house previously provided small bruschetta rolls and pizza rolls with very tasty herb butter. We will come again.

We have been eating at Da Carlo for years now and have been very satisfied for years! No matter whether salad, pizza, pasta, noodles, fish or meat!!! It tastes damn good! And the service is always friendly too! 👍

The food and above all are significantly better than the restaurant appears at first glance. People with gluten intolerance in particular will get their money's worth here. Even the pizza rolls as a starter are gluten-free. Price-performance unbeatable. Great service.

Take away. I had a margharita and pizza rolls to go. The portion of pizza rolls (2 pieces) were cold and very dry. The Margharita was a classic takeaway biscuit pizza. The price of €6.50 for everything surprised me a lot, but in the end it was just honest. The takeout area wasn't very inviting. The prepared toppings were in some kind of boxes... I don't know if they are suitable for food processing, I would have preferred stainless steel containers like they are intended for such displays. The staff was friendly but sparing with words. At first I didn't know whether I had really ordered...it was acknowledged. All in all, not something that stands out but at least the price is honestly passed on to the customer.

Super great evening. My wife could finally eat a really delicious pizza again after a long time. All pizza and pasta dishes are gluten-free at no extra charge. The greeting from the kitchen (bruschetta) for my wife was also gluten-free. Just great.

A clear recommendation and even a MUST for anyone looking for gluten-free food Parking in the shopping center car park is easy, free with a parking disc for 90 minutes - after that it gets really expensive :-(

Great Italian restaurant with gluten free options! We were greeted with freshly baked pizza rolls with homemade herb butter - also gluten-free! The quality of the food was outstanding, everything tasted fresh and authentic. We were particularly impressed by the large selection of gluten-free pasta and pizza. The prices are surprisingly cheap for this quality. A real highlight was the homemade tiramisu, simply heavenly! At the end there was a schnapps on the house – a very nice gesture. We'll definitely be back!

After the visit to the football stadium, there was Italian cuisine here as it should be. My wife had a delicious pizza, I chose pasta. Both super delicious. Very friendly service!!! We'll definitely come back there. Unfortunately I still had to drive, otherwise I would have liked to try a red wine. Come on!

I was particularly impressed by the homemade gluten-free pizza rolls with herb butter and tomatoes. The gluten-free mushroom pizza made with fresh dough was also very good. Sehr nettes Restaurant, hochwertige Karte bei angemessenen Preisen, exzellente italienische Küche, sehr netter Service. Spaghetti Carbonara sind meine Lieblingspasta - klingt einfach und trivial, ist aber bei Da Carlo wirklich super! Empfehle, einfach mal was von der Karte auszuprobieren, es lohnt sich.

We spontaneously wanted to eat GLUTEN-FREE pizza. This was possible without prior notice; there are various gluten-free pizza and pasta dishes. SCHÄR flour is also available in the store. Bruscetta was served as a starter, also gluten free. Very nice service in a pleasant atmosphere at reasonable prices. A reservation is recommended. We got there right at 5 p.m. and were able to get in straight away

The two of us went there for dinner yesterday at lunchtime. Very tasty pasta dishes and pizzas at reasonable prices. As a greeting from the kitchen there was bruschetta. There is a larger parking lot behind the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

What we particularly liked Gluten Free Options: It's fantastic that Pizzeria Italia da Carlo offers gluten free pizza and pasta. This is a big plus for people with gluten intolerance. Pizza quality: Both the regular and gluten-free pizza were very tasty. The dough was crispy and the topping was fresh and tasty. Value for money: The prices for the pizzas are absolutely fine. You get high quality food here at a fair price. What could be improved Vitello Tonnato: As a starter we had Vitello Tonnato. It was good, but we've eaten better at other Italian restaurants. There is still some room for improvement here. Conclusion All in all, our visit to Pizzeria Italia da Carlo was very positive. The food was excellent, especially the gluten free options are a big plus. We would come back at any time and can fully recommend Pizzeria Italia da Carlo. Recommendation: Be sure to try the gluten-free pizza, it's really delicious!

The food is really very good. Fresh and delicious. You will hardly find better pizza outside of Italy. #RealItalian I eat there regularly with my girlfriend. However, on the weekend or when VfL Bochum is playing you should reserve a table as it tends to get very crowded there. If necessary, you can also get a pizza, pasta or salad to take away. Unfortunately there is no delivery service otherwise I would just eat the delicious food there 😅

The location is basically very good, but for me the atmosphere was rather restless and without a concept. The service was incredibly nice and accommodating. We always had someone available to ask questions. As a free starter there was lovingly served pizza rolls with herb cream and bruschetta. The pizza tasted average and was therefore good value for money.

The salads weren't served well but recently things have changed. Salad is beautifully prepared with love and that's why you get 4 stars.

Went there spontaneously the evening before last. As a starter we ordered pizza rolls with herb butter and vitello tonnato. The main course was 2 pizzas. The pizza rolls were cold and small, I thought 4 pieces were not enough given the size. I found the Vitello Tonnato a bit expensive (14.50) for the quality. But we enjoyed it. The pizzas themselves (under 10 euros) were OK. It was the typical pizza joint pizza, nothing special. Personally, the pond was too labyrinthine and somehow a bit raw for me? At least I missed the crunch or the bite. All in all I'd say it's a good 5 out of 10. A standard pizza joint with seating.

Great selection of Italian dishes. There were six of us and we were all very happy. One of us has celiac disease and received excellent care. Even the greeting from the kitchen was prepared especially for her, gluten-free. You should definitely make a reservation. It's worth it. Bon appetit

Modern old school restaurant, # Gluten-free # extremely delicious # the guest is king # we'll be back! I had dinner there with my cousin today. The staff was really friendly, there was a "starter" which consisted of four small rolls with herb butter (also gluten-free). My cousin and I ordered two pizzas, including one gluten-free because of my wheat allergy!! +(can be filled as desired) For dessert we got a Duplo and a Schär chocolate bar♡ + our packed things :) Conclusion: it was super tasty for both of us and I didn't have any consequences with my allergy :) i.e. stomach pain or something like that, as I've unfortunately had with other pizzas. We'll be back!!!

Here you can eat gluten-free pizza and pasta 👍🏻 and you can eat it regularly from the menu that says gluten-free. Even the pizza rolls and mini bruscetta were available separately as a gluten-free version. Everything tasted delicious, the service was friendly, quick and attentive. It's been a long time since we were able to eat together at an Italian restaurant; unfortunately, gluten-free is far too rarely offered. We'll be back - thank you :)

Went there for the first time today with my daughter. She has recently been suffering from celiac disease. The restaurant made a very positive impression. You seem very familiar with the topic. A starter was served and my daughter was also thought of. She got everything gluten-free. She chose the spaghetti bolognese, which she finished, so she seemed to really enjoy it and had no complaints. At the end she received a gluten-free chocolate bar from the restaurant. We can only recommend the restaurant. A reunion is definitely planned.

We were there yesterday, three people, one with gluten intolerance. The service was friendly and quick. There was a greeting from the kitchen, mini bruschetta, also gluten-free separately. The delicious antipasti plate was accompanied by normal and gluten-free rolls. The gluten-free pizza tasted good like the other dishes, and the pasta dishes are also gluten-free. To say goodbye there was a gluten-free chocolate bar. Unfortunately we live a little further away...

We have known the restaurant for a long time and have eaten there several times. This time I had eggshells under the pizza. I only realized it towards the end and was really satisfied. Unfortunately, the waitress was completely overwhelmed by the situation and only responded to our request to pass this on to the kitchen with a brief 'Of course'. The owner and the restaurant staff subsequently made no apology or attempt to make amends. We are very disappointed

Short-term reservation possible, great! The food was delicious! Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired, we had to wait almost 1 hour for our starter, then another 30 minutes for our main course! We had to point out the pizza rolls that every other table received twice! In the end it was not possible to pay by card; a notice in the entrance area would be desirable. However, we were offered to pay the bill on another day! There is room for improvement for the restaurant, but unfortunately nothing for us. Pizza to pick up is recommended!

What used to be our regular pizzeria no longer works after several attempts. It's a real shame. The price-performance ratio is right. The young employees are very friendly and considerate. But unfortunately the older employee is so unfriendly and treats us in a derogatory way as soon as we enter, it's so annoying that we're definitely not going there anymore. There is such a large selection of pizzerias that we can find something different with a friendly smile.

To our surprise, pizza rolls with herb butter and bruscetta were served in advance. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about celiac disease. At the end there was also a Schär bar. The prices are also just great. Despite the 1.5 hour drive we will come back. Thanks for the great food, we felt in good hands, which is rare with celiac disease.

Sehr lecker, man hat extra noch einen Tisch für uns frei machen können. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die selbstgemachten Nudeln waren perfekt. Wenn man in Bochum ist sollte man Da Carlo besuchen.
