Istanbul Döner in Geldern

Ordered food today, after 5 minutes it was there, cold and old. Complaint and immediately get a new old cold meal. If the store can sustain itself like that, fine. I've been a customer for over 20 years and this is new. But no matter, I will never order or even eat there again. Guys, there are better deals out there.

It's a shame what was once the best kebab shop in Geldern and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, if you read the reviews here, my negative experiences with the service don't seem to be an isolated case. And you would actually think that it should be clear to every kebab shop owner that with so much competition in the immediate vicinity, you can only do good business or even exist in the long term if you are better than the others around you. This doesn't seem to be clear here, or at least not anymore since the owner obviously changed. So another tip from the customer's point of view, because the other 100 reviews in the reviews here are apparently not enough: With the huge selection of kebab shops in Geldern, no one really needs to be ignored at the table for more than 5 minutes, and that's it Not at all when the store is almost empty and the staff would rather chat with each other than serve the customers. Guys, you don't have a monopoly on funds and even if you did, such a service would not be acceptable. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the current food because I couldn't order any at first and after waiting for over 5 minutes I actually had to walk over to another kebab shop to eat a kebab.

I ordered pizza rolls with doner meat, which were very tasty, and an employee gave me a free aioli sauce. I'm really very happy since the new owner arrived.

Unfortunately, the veal kebab is not recommended. The meat, the salad, the sauce, nothing particularly tasty. In addition, the meat and the sauce are skimpy, so there could have been at least a little more. The ambience hasn't changed in years and looks heavily used. The kitchen doesn't seem that clean either. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Istanbul at all. There are countless other shops in the area that offer better kebab.

If you have a lot of time and are not hungry, if you are willing, 1:30 hours. to wait for his order (2 kebabs), he can call here and maybe get his ice-cold meal if the driver finds the address (despite the phone number). As a customer, you just have to be patient and not have any demands 🤷‍♀️.

Ordered food, was supposed to be delivered in 30 minutes and had to wait 1 1/2 hours! Food was cold, driver unfriendly, not the right thing delivered as ordered! Never again!

I understand that restaurants need to adapt. Price pressure and increased costs are adding to this. But passing this on to the customer is a disgrace. The kebab plate consists of 50 percent cheap coleslaw from the bulk pack. Feta cheese = none! Instead you get a tablespoon of grated cheese. It is garnished with half a tomato and a sliced ​​pepper. This of course saves the cost of goods. A flat rate of 2 euros will be charged for delivery. However, this is not communicated, as you will find out when you check the invoice at the door. All in all, no longer a recommendation.

My absolute favorite kebab in Geldern. Reviewed in 2020. Since a new owner came in, the quality has deteriorated significantly. A pity.

Bad and old ingredients, taste was honestly horrible and the cleanliness in the place was appalling. Never again.

Had the schnitzel with paprika sauce. 1. The schnitzel was in there too long (almost black and dry. 2. The sauce didn't taste like it was supposed to. 3. Ambiance was probably not their thing. A lot of things were dirty and the entrance door was probably a bit broken because it couldn't be closed completely. Been there once and never again!

Today was the last time here, delivery took 50 minutes so far no problem, but the pizza was ice cold and rock hard, simply disgusting and the nuggets were soft as mud due to the moisture €15 went straight into the trash can

Food was amazing, ordered the Döner Schnitzel with my dad and my mom got a döner kebap, the Schnitzel and döner tasted very fresh and so did the salat that came with it. Staff very friendly with a smile on their faces and the atmosphere as amazing. Ate for 3 people and paid under 40 euro.

Das Fleisch meines Döners war nicht genügend erhitzt und dadurch sehr zäh. Die Schichtung der Zutaten war mies; grobe Stücke, Schärfe nur oben drauf und das Fleisch befand sich nur unten. Der älteste Dönerladen in Geldern... Was für eine Lernkurve?

Sehr gutes Lokal, es bietet eine offene Atmosphäre und sehr gutes Essen. Teilweise können Verspätungen bei Sturmzeiten auftreten.

Stammgast seid 20 Jahren, immer wieder woanders probiert. Aber es gibt einfach nichts besseres als Istanbul!

Bester Döner!!! Lieferservice leider nur bis Lüllingen. Muss ich halt von Twisteden aus selber holen, lohnt sich aber!
