Iskender Kebab in Duisburg

Stayed in a flat opposite and didn't think much of it until we looked online for somewhere to eat and saw the rating and reviews. None of the group had complaints and they allowed us to move some tables and chairs to accommodate us all inside.

One of the best kebab shops in Duisburg-Mitte. They offer much more than just kebabs, and the place is perfect for dining in. Great staff ❤️

Very good tasty doner kebab, good atmosphere.

Basically a decent kebab shop where the kebab is okay. However, they incomprehensibly charge 9.30 for a Turkish pizza with meat and salad, even if it weighs considerably less than a traditional kebab. The Turkish pizza is freshly made on site, so the dough is actually rolled out and baked. But that doesn't really improve the taste, because it's not really that good. They also use the same dough to make the pizzas they prepare on site, and they're actually quite decent. The kebab itself tastes neither particularly good nor particularly bad, but the filling is generous. What's very annoying is that they charge an extra 0.50 cents for pepperoni and other things like cheese. I've never seen anything like that at Peperoni before, and I find it repulsive.

The food is simply delicious. And the staff is very friendly. I always enjoy going there.

A place of quiet grandeur What's served here as a kebab is far more than a snack: tender, expertly seasoned meat in fragrant, crispy bread – a composition of simple perfection. I ate at this restaurant, Iskender, and was completely satisfied. Despite the rainy weather that day, my request to eat outside was kindly accommodated. The server responded immediately, cleared the table and chair of rainwater, and prepared everything for me. Even though they could have said that outside service was not possible, this was very attentive and customer-oriented. The service overall was excellent: friendly, quick, and very courteous. After my meal, I was even offered a cup of tea. A small gesture that further enhanced the overall positive impression. The food was also excellent. Fresh, authentic, and very tasty. Thank you for the great experience! I would love to come back.

Best kebab shop in town! I've been to many kebab shops, but this one really tops them all! The meat is perfectly seasoned, juicy and freshly cut from the spit. The sauces are homemade and really tasty - especially the garlic sauce is to die for! There are also crunchy vegetables and crusty bread, which rounds off the kebab perfectly. The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the staff is super friendly. You can tell that the work here is done with love. No matter whether kebab, dürüm or a plate meal - everything tastes good here! Absolute recommendation for all kebab fans! I'll definitely be back!

The food was catastrophic. There was a hair in it. I ordered a kebab. Bread was cold, with all my love, but that's absolutely not possible. The staff on site was completely unfriendly to me, so I'm very sorry, but unfortunately there's a bad review for that. I can't recommend it.

We ate here twice after a visit to the Küppersmühle Museum. It's a good ten minute walk from the museum (750 m). Delicious food, large portions, friendly service. Don't let the note on the front door stop you saying they should have increased the prices. It has become more expensive everywhere. We found the prices for the dishes (two very large kebab plates with fries, salad, dressing, extra portion of fries, two cans of cola for €40) completely OK and we were completely full. Of course there are also smaller portions for smaller budgets. Pizza looked good too. There were enough places available on both visits.

We have eaten here a few times and are always very satisfied! The (chicken) meat is delicious, we haven't had any fat or cartilage here and there's nothing else wrong with the chicken kebab (we haven't tried anything else yet). In terms of price, it is also the same or often even slightly cheaper than the competition. Iskender Kebab has now become our regular snack bar and we can definitely recommend it 👍

I went there because of the good reviews and can say that 4.7 stars are already overrated. The kebab is okay to good, but absolutely nothing special. Unfortunately, the fries were very salty and the pide was also at best okay. Well-intentioned 4 stars from me.

I was looking for something to eat in Duisburg and I googled the rating and found this kebab. The Perres plate really appealed to me because the combo sounds nice and I didn't regret it, it was really delicious and the portion was also ok, well a draft beer would have been even nicer or a large Veltins for 2.50 was also really ok. I'd love to come back next time.

Inflation and increased energy prices or not - what you are doing is just a joke, I can't think of anything else to say.
