I had the absolute pleasure of discovering this amazing Iraqi restaurant during a recent work trip, thanks to a recommendation from a coworker—and I ended up coming back three times in just two weeks! From the moment I stepped in, I felt genuinely welcomed. The waiter and the chef are incredibly friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the dishes, ingredients, and background behind the food. (They speak English, German, Arabic… which made everything even more enjoyable and easy.) On my first visit, I tried the kebab—without a doubt the best I’ve ever had. My second visit was all about the Gooze: a beautifully cooked lamb dish served with rice, raisins, and sides of bean soup and tomatoes. It was so good that I ordered it again on my third visit—this time with a side of okra in tomato soup. The flavors were just incredible! What made the experience even more special was the warm atmosphere and the amazing people I shared it with—friends from 🇸🇦🇮🇶🇵🇰🇾🇪🇧🇪🇧🇷🇱🇹🇵🇱. It truly felt like a cultural gathering around delicious food. A heartfelt thank you to the staff for sharing a piece of your culture, reviving us with your hospitality, and for that exquisite, comforting tea served after the meal. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Iraqi cuisine with a warm and welcoming touch.

The food was excellent, the salad fresh and delicious, and the bread was served hot and crispy. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant—a truly unique experience!

The shop looks immaculate, the bread was excellent (like fresh Ramadan flatbreads fresh from the oven), and the meat was full and juicy. There's nothing to stop you from getting full marks here. Congratulations!

On Sunday, he had a special offer of two Iraqi kebabs with rice and salad for 11€. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I advise everyone to visit and try his food.

I have ordered 3 meals of fried chicken, it was too oily and small portions of chicken, normally the fried chicken contains chicken breasts, it was mostly chicken wings and small legs.. Not recommended as lunch but as a snack okay

I just got a chicken kebab here with my colleague. Everything was warm, everything was fresh, the meat and salad distribution was well done. In our opinion, for the price of €6 you won't get a better kebab in the area. The ambience is modern, clean and tidy. The boss was very friendly and competent. We'd love to come back to try more 😁👍🏽

Eaten deliciously. Doner kebab with rice. Everything is very hot and happens quickly. You can put together your own salad at the buffet. With cola €14 is fine. The only thing that is annoying while eating is the loud music from the television.

Mega disappointed and just speechless! I always come from North Rhine-Westphalia to Ishtar specifically to treat myself to the best tiramisu. Same thing yesterday...but...the shock when I opened it at home! Mold! Are you serious? The tiramisu actually no longer looked appetizing and the ladyfingers were already grayish.

Habe hier 2x Döner gegessen, einmal war ich persönlich hier und einmal wurde er mir mitgebracht. Beide mal war ich wirklich SEHR zufrieden!. Der Döner ist zwar rein von der Zusammensetzung 0815(Sprich er macht nichts was es nicht eh überall gibt) aber eben in guter Qualität und wesentlich besser als es die meisten anderen machen.. Weshalb ich behaupte, dass es hier einen der besten Döner in Kassel gibt. Und auch preislich finde ich es mit 6€ für einen DÖNER wirklich mehr als fair! Bei den meisten anderen bekommt man für das Geld nur einen Drehspieß und aus Erfahrung kann ich auch sagen, dass bei vielen das Gemüse nicht halb so frisch schmeckt und die Soße nach nichts schmeckt. Also fassen wir zusammen, ihr bekommt hier einen DÖNER, für 6€, mit Fleisch(in einer besseren Qualität) was nach etwas schmeckt, wirklich frisch schmeckenden Gemüse und einer Soße die im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen auch wirklich nach etwas schmeckt!

Sehr netter Service, sehr leckeres Essen und sehr sauber. Einziges Manko: ich muss einmal quer durch Kassel. Ansonsten würde ich bestimmt sehr häufig hier essen.😃 Aber ich komme ganz sicher wieder und ich werde euch weiter empfehlen!

Sauberer, schöner Laden. Personal freundlich, Essen lecker (Schnitzel) und sehr preiswert. Das Salatbuffet hat mich besonders bestärkt ab jetzt regelmäßig zu kommen.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Inneneinrichtung sehr gut gelungen deshalb die 3 Sterne. Das Essen . Naja was soll ich sagen, alles hat nach Supermarkt Produkt geschmeckt das Dönerfleisch war eher ein Pfannengyros aus der TK , die Köfte haben eine verklebte Fusion mit dem zähen Brot gebildet und auch die Pizza war vom Teig eher zäh als luftig. Schade, aber vllt ändert sich bei mehr Kunden etwas. Ich drücke die Daumen

Nach Fertigstellung des Innenausbaus wollten wir auch mal die Speisekarte durchprobieren und es war sehr lecker, sehr zu empfehlen! Gerne wieder
