Amazing pub that puts you in the mood of the city. Delicious Vegan Burger and very good local beer. The atmosphere is amazing and the music is very cool

A very nice pub, friendly staff, good beer and food. Live music is lovely, but unfortunately often too loud, making conversation quite difficult, which is a shame… but I still like to come back every now and then!

Unfriendly welcome at a charming basement pub A lovely Irish pub in the basement, but hard to find. A sign at the entrance reads "Please wait to be seated"—but unfortunately, no one is there. When you finally proceed, you're immediately and rudely told off at the bar for not waiting by the sign. Such a welcome completely ruins the atmosphere. A shame for what is otherwise a cozy place—for me, it was a one-time visit and never again.

Nice, quaint pub. English is spoken. Murphy's on tap and Newcastle Brown Ale—that's all we needed. It was packed, so we didn't see the waiters very often, and one of our beers didn't arrive...these things happen. It was really hot, and the air was stuffy—otherwise, a nice evening.

Great beers. Delicious burger with bacon. Great pub. Would gladly come again.

Pleasant surroundings, friendly service!

The prices are reasonable for the location, the staff was a bit grumpy, the restrooms were unfortunately rather dirty, but the drink selection and ambiance are good.

Typical pub. The food was excellent and plentiful, the service very friendly. Everything was excellent; we'd be happy to return. A bit difficult to find, with a small entrance in the basement beneath the Hans im Glück restaurant.

I went there for the first time yesterday (Sunday), mainly to watch football. But since I generally like Irish pubs, I was doubly happy! As for the location, I like the rustic feel: vaulted ceiling, quaint, lots of wood... very inviting 🙌 The food was "typical local" fish & chips, all good. But: the staff behind the bar is still very "new and unsure" in my opinion... It's an Irish pub, and I'm sure guests from the island/Ireland, etc., like to come to the pub, so the staff should of course be fluent in English... But there are also German guests, who don't necessarily speak English fluently or perfectly. The staff behind the bar couldn't understand the simplest German sentences (regarding orders). I'm guessing they don't speak German either, but in a German city, service staff should at least be able to speak "basic" German... My last drink was supposed to be an apple juice spritzer... but since I don't know what apple juice spritzer could mean in English, I said "a mix of apple juice and water".... I got an orange juice spritzer?! I drank it because I thought if I "complained" about it now, they'd be completely overwhelmed. The staff outside the bar was German, or at least bilingual, but behind the bar... You can't expect all guests to speak perfect English in an Irish pub in Hamburg.

An amazing bar with a great vibe. Very good prices and insurmountable attention, if they speak Spanish (or not) ask for Eduardo, he made the experience considerably better.

Great atmosphere, but definitely not recommended on a warm day. It was so hot in the cellar that our group of about 10 people had to leave after 30 minutes. Otherwise, it's definitely great.

The waiters were up for any kind of fun 😁👍 Very international, rustic cellar, great people. However, the air was quite stale - but that's just a matter of getting used to it ;) Non-smoking and card payments accepted 🤑 In summary: it was nice!

Awesome Irish Pup! Very cozy and super cool. In my opinion, this is the best Irish pup in Hamburg. It's a vaulted space where you can lose track of time and place. I think it's really good and I always enjoy coming back. If it's not too crowded, you can even bring your dog.

Since reopening, what was once our favorite pub has become a disgraceful disappointment. The Buffalo wings had so much vinegar on them I could have cleaned my bathroom with it. Due to time constraints and extreme hunger, my wife and I tried to eat them anyway and gave up after two of the 14 pieces each. When I complained about the food, the waiter first asked me what I wanted from him. I asked for the wings to be removed from the bill, as they were truly inedible and there wasn't enough time for a second chance. This was then discussed with the supervisor. I was then informed, along with the bill, that we would have to pay because we had overeaten. However, I was welcome to "argue" with the supervisor if I was concerned about the 14 euros, which the Fleetenkieker now apparently needs more than I do. A shot on the house as compensation was also only available upon request. This level of customer service surpasses even DB security. It's a shame what this pub has become. The only thing that's left is the beer.

Este es un bar de temática “irlandesa”, no un auténtico pub irlandés. Fui a ver la semifinal de All Ireland entre Kerry y Tyrone. Todos los televisores estaban mostrando un partido de rugby de Sudáfrica y los turistas comiéndose hamburguesas que llenaban el lugar no podrían haber señalado Kerry o Tyrone en un mapa, mucho menos se habrían dado cuenta de la importancia del partido. ¡Decepcionante, TG por la transmisión en vivo de RTE!

In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend it. It was difficult to find, unfortunately unfriendly, and the restrooms didn't have any hand paper. I tried to charge my phone, but they refused, saying it might blow the fuse. I've never experienced anything like it.

The Fleetenkieker is quaint and unpretentious. Here, you can enjoy a sophisticated beer and a chat. Make new contacts, or simply meet up with friends and celebrate...

The toilets were the dirtiest thing I've ever seen in my entire life, simply disgusting. If I had gone to the toilet first, I definitely wouldn't have drunk anything there.

I highly recommend it. Always gluten-free beer and super delicious chicken wings

Small hidden Irish pub with vaulted ceiling

A quaint Irish pub, located in a basement, thus without windows. The entrance is therefore not particularly conspicuous. Despite the small sign, you still have to look for it. We walked around the block. Generally, only English is spoken. There are enough TVs, and the pub is known for watching football. HSV is always shown. The restrooms are quite dated and in need of renovation. The seating is very small, typical of Irish pubs. You have to like it. Otherwise, typical snacks and drinks. The staff are courteous. Definitely recommended for Irish pub fans.

We were there for St. Patrick's Day, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The live music was perfect, and the staff were friendly. A great evening.

I came on a Sunday so it was not very busy but the service was great and they were showing the F1 race so I was happy.

As the pub was slightly full, we had to wait to go in. The two of us were shown a place in the corner next to the toilet (see photo). We could tell by the smell and not because we knew where they were (first visit). Not even at the counter. The 'Irish Flag' cocktail, the most common in every Irish pub, was not even known.

Visited whilst on a business trip and was great! The football was on, there was a nice buzzing atmosphere and the Guinness was awesome! Food menu was small, but plenty of options to chose from. I had the fish and chips and was lovely! What more can you want?!

Everything top as you would imagine an Irish pub

Shit, I ordered a €6.50 whiskey with a mixed sprite, they brought me a shot, I told them that I ordered it with a sprite since the same waiter asked me what drink I wanted it with, he didn't tell me about the extra cost, in the end they brought me what I ordered and when we gave the bill, they charged me for 2 shots and the sprite separately, they told me that to complete the drink they had to add another shot and a thousand excuses (if they were going to add some additional cost, at least ask) I was also the only one in the group who charged me for the soda (sprite) separately, €18.50 for a simple glass of crap, I will never return to this place in my entire life, a complete scam.

Food menu has become to much worse in 5 years. No sandwiches or brownies, vegetarian options are bad and very limited. Just salsa n chips or fries. They have one vegetarian burger with beyond meat which is so bad. Beers are great but please bring back old menu. Get red bean burger or linsen or vegetable burger. Beyond meat is really bad

I've only ever had good experiences at Fleetenkieker so far, but unfortunately I can only give a bad rating today. I was there with two friends and we just wanted to enjoy our evening together with delicious beer. However, the older men next to us showed far too much interest in us. It was uncomfortable sitting there because they kept looking at us and kept talking about us. They counted how often we went to the toilet and talked loudly about whether we spoke German or not. At first I tried to endure it (even though it wasn't ok) and ignore it. But when they started talking about when we'd go to the toilet for the seventh time and how we'd last longer this time, it went too far. Why do they care how often we go to the toilet, whether we speak German or whatever we do? That really went too far. After I told them to please mind their own business and switch off their interest in us (which, in hindsight, was said far too nicely), no one apologized and all three looked down, couldn't look me in the eye and just mumbled quietly: "she's German". That I have to listen to something like that even though I just want to enjoy a nice evening with my friends. I usually really enjoy coming here, but today was really a no go. We actually ordered another beer, but then just left because we didn't want to sit next to these unacceptable guys any longer. The waitress apologized straight away, even though she couldn't help it that such idiots were there. I really don't like writing bad reviews but today I just had to. Such behavior is truly unacceptable and should not be tolerated. Be prepared for something like this to happen to you if the pub's clientele doesn't change.

As an Irish in Hamburg I honestly say this place does not feel like an Irish pub at all. There's just no atmosphere here at all. The food service is very slow and very limited options. The food was tasteless after leaving I was unwell quite unwell the rest of the evening. This place is very cramped and uncomfortable seating. Definitely wouldn't go back.

Rustic atmosphere, service makes every effort, but on Saturdays it is very busy and there is a bit of a wait to eat/drink at the table. Pretty loud. At least the men's toilet has room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. Git suitable for watching sports, rugby 🏉 and football ⚽️. Guinness was all 🙆‍♂️

Happy Update! They now have Tennent's gluten free! What a joy to be able to find it in Hamburg at last! Happiness I am absolutely delighted with this place, the service is perfect, the atmosphere very pleasant and the location unbeatable. Good pub if you want to have an after-work beer with colleagues in the city center. Sometimes it's busy and the drinks take a while. Otherwise, great pub atmosphere and large selection of beers. Football is also broadcast.

I've been coming here for almost 10 years. I loved the food here. Unfortunately the menu has decreased significantly and the best items (sandwiches) have disappeared from the menu! 😧

Out of all the other places I have visited with my friends, for some reason, I really like this one. The vibe is just right and it's unmatched. The service is on point. The people are nice. It is really a good location. What else could 1 ask for? Highly recommend recommended for you to visit here

Friendly staff and good food. Recommended for watching sports (especially rugby) in Hamburg. So easy to book a table. Often open early for a game when other bars would not.

Absolute joke. First you get no response to your reservation and have to make a phone call afterwards and then you find yourself standing in front of a closed shop. Planned for weeks to give our parents a nice evening, dandelion. Of course, it can happen that a pipe bursts in your house. But firstly, you can notify the people who have made reservations and for whom you have the phone number and email address. You can't even pin information to the homepage on the website. Underground, unprofessional and cheeky. It's a shame that you can't give minus stars.

An almost magical place and for me for many years more than "just" a pub. The beer is world class and the atmosphere simply unbeatable. The guys and girls behind the counter are almost family to me! Bless you all! 🍀⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Also a vaulted cellar in which the pub was located. Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed during the first break of the football match. I think it's a downside if you consider that a lot of alcohol flows! Furthermore, there was no lack of a good atmosphere!

I'm a little torn. I like the store and have been going there for a long time. But when you look at a renovation that has been announced a few times and nothing has been renovated, just rearranged, I find it difficult to ignore all the things. The air is a complete disaster. If you sit further back it is too warm and stuffy. When you sit at the front you are constantly surrounded by smoke and cold outside air because the smoking area is of course right in front of the entrance door and of course the entrance door does not close automatically. Better yet, it even gets stuck on the floor every time you try to close it. How about a new ventilation and a repaired door? Given the size of the rooms there should actually be enough space, but due to the renovation of the bar and just old clunky and uncomfortable furniture, pretty much everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. When a person is standing at the bar, it's almost impossible to get past them and go to the back. The already not cheap prices were raised further for the renovation. Unfortunately not really justified. But you won't become poor either. Depending on your thirst... Yesterday I had a pulled pork "burger" that consisted of 2 dry burger buns and a finger-wide layer of pulled pork. Not only does it not fill you up, it's also somehow not appropriate for 7 euros. At least it tasted good. The selection of food and drinks is OK. There are also one or two craft beers. The employees and events take the whole thing out a bit. Always friendly, funny and often English natives.

Me puse en contacto con este bar irlandés antes de visitar Hamburgo para ver si permitían tops escoceses en el bar. La respuesta fue instantánea, así que reservamos una mesa para nuestra 1 noche de llegada para ver el partido Inglaterra - Serbia. Qué ambiente había allí daneses, holandeses, polacos y un grupo de partidarios ingleses. Todos los himnos de Inglaterra sonaron antes de empezar con bromas toda la noche. Finalmente, cuando el juego terminó se pusieron Sí, señor, puedo Boogie, entonces la historia de amor con este bar despegó. Tuvimos 6 escoceses acompañados por un grupo de seguidores holandeses y alemanes que se unieron para cantar y bailar al Himno, cuando regresamos sin reserva el martes Anna se aseguró de que teníamos una mesa para nosotros, en poco tiempo Yes Sir I can Boogie estaba tocando de nuevo. Para nuestra noche final y el juego de Escocia contra los suizos de nuevo la mejor mesa de la casa había sido reservada por Anna y después de hablar con el bar comenzaron los himnos escoceses. Qué noche terminando con unos himnos tradicionales irlandeses y escoceses. Extrañamos mucho este bar ahora que estamos de vuelta en casa, pero si usted está buscando un gran ambiente con un gran servicio, el bar irlandés en Fleetenkeiker es el lugar para ir. Anna esperamos darle la bienvenida en Edimburgo.

What a great pub we visited during our 5 days following Scotland during the Euros, the food was excellent, Table service for us was mainly made by Anna who always made sure we had a table when we visited. The Atmosphere and Craic was brilliant great Football Anthems played depending on the Country playing and fans singing each other songs. We were sad to leave but our last night was special playing Scottish and Irish anthems with locals and strangers joining in dancing and singing best bar in Hamburg by Far.

Visitamos Hamburgo en relación con el Campeonato de Europa 2024. Naturalmente teníamos que encontrar un buen lugar para ver fútbol y elegimos este. Mucha gente, acogedor, buen servicio. buena selección de cerveza y otras bebidas y la comida es una mezcla de hamburguesa, pollo y patatas fritas, se adapta perfectamente al lugar.

I came here for the first Saturday of Euro 2024. As you'd imagine, it was super busy but our host Anastasia was amazing at keeping everyone placed and served. She apologised there were no seats (later found me a stool) bur said I could stand at a high table which worked perfectly as a solo traveller. Anastasia looked after me really well, I never had to wait long for service even though it was full, and the nachos were tasty. Everything was reasonably priced too. Great place with a brilliant atmosphere.

To say it's great is to say nothing. Serve this many kibbutzim during Euro 2024. I honestly haven't seen the team smiling so much for a long time. Please pass on my thanks to everyone on the team. For the smile above all.

Very cozy place. Feels like a second home

I was in this Irish pub for the first time yesterday and it was great - it could easily have been in the middle of Dublin... rustic and cozy in a vaulted cellar. Many types of craft beer, Guinness, whiskey, but also for non-beer drinkers there is a large selection of other drinks (although I think there is little point in going to a pub if you don't like drinking beer). Unfortunately, a mishap happened to me right at the beginning: the Guinness glass slipped and hit the table and the other Guinness also broke... I got a full load from top to bottom, including the table and the surrounding area (no other guests were hit - what a relief) - fortunately my companion took it with humor, but the employees also reacted in a totally relaxed manner, helped us clean up the "huge mess" and even didn't charge us for the two beers, which is why I was completely exhausted. In between we had really tasty fish & chips that were crispy and hot - great! There is live music on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 p.m.; Since we had already been there since 3:30 p.m., we had already done too many turns by that time :-), so we left shortly beforehand. But we want to experience that on another visit! Conclusion: We won't be here for the last time... Ambience, service, value for money, food and drink - everything is "just great". (And I didn't even get banned from the house because of my painter... :-)) I would absolutely recommend making a reservation - no matter what time!

We reserved a table to watch the CL final 4 weeks ago. What we got were 2 counter barrels with wooden chairs. Furthermore, it was in the last corner of the store right next to the toilet. Since it is already very warm in the store and it was even warmer in this area, half of my friends left after 10 minutes. I think it would have been fair to communicate on the phone that there were no free tables before doing this to your guests. Drinking beer this time wouldn't be a problem, but not if you made a reservation weeks in advance. That's really bullshit and the atmosphere was messed up too. Service and food is ok. Unfortunately, 90% of the time only English is spoken. It's ok in the pub, but I think you should have some knowledge of the local language. It was the last time for us.

Wonderful Irish pub located in the beautiful center of Hamburg. Excellent staff, charismatic and very knowledgeable in recommending a vast and highly sought after range of whiskeys, beers and excellent cocktails. Excellent pub food. Whether there is some important match or live music, every evening spent there has always been a great party! Reservations are recommended because it is often quite full. Highly recommended
