Irish Harp in Zwickau

I went there with colleagues after work today; we had reserved a table. The food and drinks were excellent, as always. But the service today (I unfortunately didn't catch my colleague's name) was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and with perfect knowledge of whiskey... But the highlight was: I left my backpack behind and only realized it when I got home. On my way back, he called me just to let me know and had secured it. You couldn't ask for better service. Thank you, and keep up the good work! I'll definitely be back soon!

It was my first time here, but that won't be the end of it. Very friendly service. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

We went there spontaneously, and because we didn't have a reservation, we got a seat at the bar. We had a wonderful chat with the bartender. And when our food arrived, a table was free for us. Conclusion: Very friendly staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. We would eat there again on our next visit to Zwickau.

I can't rate the food because I left. If I'm handed dirty, sticky menus, it seems the cleanliness isn't that great. The table I sat at wasn't really cleaned either. What a shame...

The food is delicious. With the exception of one waitress, the staff is unfortunately very unfriendly. If you don't know something, you're treated with a rude tone and blamed for their work. I felt very uncomfortable and out of place, except for one super-nice waitress. What a shame.

Highly recommended! We visited spontaneously and were pleasantly surprised. A very stylish, rustic ambiance. Very attentive service. Plus, a good selection of food, which you don't get everywhere. As a driver, I was unfortunately denied access to the wide range of whiskeys on offer. So, I plan to come back again to enjoy everything. The service was consistently positive: attentive, friendly, and fast, exactly what you want for a relaxed evening at the pub. At the beginning, the background music was a bit lacking, which initially dampened the atmosphere. Fortunately, appropriate music was played later, which gave the place that certain something. The food was solid, nothing extraordinary, but okay. Those expecting culinary highlights may be disappointed, but it's certainly sufficient for a classic pub snack. The drinks menu was impressive: Authentic Irish beers and whiskeys created the right pub feeling. What was particularly pleasing was that the drinks were not only harmonious but also delicious. In conclusion: An honest pub with charm, good service, and authentic drinks. If you like Irish flair and don't expect gourmet cuisine, this is the place for you.

Just popped in for a cheeky drink on one of the hottest days. Officially the bar was closed but we were invited in anyway. It would be unfair to leave a review but I would like to thank the staff for making us feel welcome.

Delicious food at fair prices and friendly staff

The greeting from one employee was very unfriendly, but the other one tried hard. Overall, the atmosphere was not pleasant. After we didn't want any more drinks (due to drivers and the approaching storm), we were almost asked to pay. Unfortunately, the place is quite busy. They don't make any effort to please their customers. The food was delicious.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff was friendly. The food was delicious, but the chef was really overdoing it with the salt today.

We had gotten a table, somewhat unfortunately, next to the bar and were sitting in a very dark corner with a green light shining on the plates and quite low benches. Despite reservations. The rock music doesn't quite fit the atmosphere either. The dishes were all very tasty. However, there were some deductions for everyone. Sometimes the portion was very small like the chicken breast, sometimes the salad was soggy, and the sour cream dip was very stiff for everyone. Definitely order the dishes with side dishes. There is a deduction for one of the waiters who spoke at the table about bad food or about poor quality of the dishes when ordering. Overall, a very tasty dinner, which was brought down a bit by the ambience and the waiters. Still definitely worth a visit, especially for meat lovers.

On May 1st Served by a young and rude waiter who wasn't even able to bring us two older ladies seat cushions. There's a big box behind there, you can get it yourself, was the answer. At around 9:30 p.m. my cousin ordered a Lynchburg. Since she hadn't finished her drink yet, we were asked how long we wanted to stay. How long are you open for? Normally until half past 12, but there's nothing going on today and we'll close sooner then. Yes, then please bring the drink and then we'll see. Yes, but you haven't even finished drinking yet and now you want another Lynchburg, how long is that supposed to last for you? Impossible. We have never experienced anything like this in this restaurant. On May 2nd been back in there as we know it. Three nice and friendly waitresses, everything was great.

Despite there being enough free seats, we were turned away by the waiter with the reason: "I don't serve that many people". He didn't even want to sell us a drink. The evening was over. Very unfortunate.

I had a salad with breaded grilled mushrooms and a dish whose name I forgot (casserole with mashed potatoes, minced meat sauce and cheese gratin). We have rarely eaten so deliciously in such a beautiful and friendly atmosphere. Extremely recommended!!!

Als Besucher der ersten Stunde, des pubs, waren wir nach über 20 Jahren jetzt 2 mal in 6 Monaten zu Gast mit Freunden. Leider muss ich sagen, dass die Freundlichkeit des Personals nicht wirklich berauschend ist! Vorallem gestern(24.05.25) nicht!!! Der Kellner war tatsächlich ziemlich arrogant und anmaßend! Hab es tatsächlich noch nie erlebt, dass man vom Personal gemaßregelt wird, weil wir uns bei ihm (O-Ton) nicht angemeldet und uns sofort an einen Tisch setzten! Hätte man uns als unwissenden Gast auch im normalen, nicht schnippischen Ton sagen können. Zudem verstehe ich die Logik nicht, wenn die Öffnungszeiten bis 23 Uhr ausgeschrieben sind, bei noch guter Anzahl von Gästen, man 21:45 letzte Runde einläutet um 22:30 herausgebeten zu werden. Um sich dann vom gleichen Kellner wieder belehren und unterstellen zu lassen, ob man denn wirklich einen neuen Pitcher in 45 Minuten schafft?! Mit O-Ton: das haben schon andere, trinkfestere als DU behauptet und nicht geschafft! War jedenfalls ein ziemlich herablassender unfreundlicher Kellner! Schade um diese Lokalität! Wo in den 90ern echt noch super Servicekräfte waren! Fazit, das Guinness war lecker, der Service nicht

The discovery of the day. The rustic atmosphere had previously put me off visiting. A mistake. The food was so delicious, the service was quick, friendly and attentive, with a full house. Price-performance ratio is also good.

I can only recommend this restaurant. The drinks and food tasted fantastic. The dishes were also completely sufficient. However, if you are an appetizer lover, you should be very hungry. The staff is very friendly and served with a lot of humor. There is even a separate smoking dining area here.

Typical Irish pub, at least as far as we Germans know what it is, if you don't know anything else ;) friendly service, good food and drinks at fair prices!

Such an unfriendly team, no proper greeting, no proper service, just nothing. We were just left standing there. When we got our table they became more and more unfriendly and that was only because we were a little late. When you asked for a small dish to eat, there was only an unfriendly answer. Another employee came and tried to accuse us of pocketing or hiding playing cards even though we had only been sitting at the table for a few minutes. In my opinion, it was all a complete impudence and we won't be seen there anymore.

The portions are very generous, the selection of dishes is just right, so there is something for every palate and the quality of the dishes is really top. The service was very unfriendly, questions were not answered and the card was just thrown on the table. The food tasted good but the side dish was also forgotten. The dessert was completely forgotten and when asked it was confirmed that it had not been made. There was no way to change my child so I had to do it on the floor in the toilet. It's a shame as a young family who wants to go out for dinner with their friends.

Despite arriving at 10pm on Monday, with a posted opening time until 11pm, the pub was closed. There were people sitting in the pub drinking. Despite contacting us, it was not opened to us without an explanation. Apparently the Irish Harp doesn't need customers. Very unfortunate.

We just wanted to have a drink today, there were many individual seats available, the waitress said we had to ask every single guest at the table if we could sit down (there were 2 guests not at their seat, the others agreed!) Is it still possible? It's a pub and not an upscale posh restaurant! Was the waitress just too lazy to serve guests? We have never experienced anything like this! I'm always happy to visit. The selection of drinks is very good, there is something of everything. The whiskey menu is small but there is a bit of everything.

A pub open every day with Irish and German beer, lots of schnapps and small dishes if you want. You will be served by a very friendly and attentive team. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Irish pubs. There are two guest rooms, smoking and non-smoking. The toilets are always clean. Stopping here when we are in Zwickau is part of our must-do program. Reservations are recommended at least on weekends.

Super nice service and on Sundays all burgers are available for just €7.77, they are super tasty and so big that you don't actually need any side dishes. The beer selection is also huge and something different.

We in the pub on Saturday and Monday. There was a Christmas market around the corner, which meant the pub was very busy every day. We had to reserve in advance. There were completely different staff on duty on both days and I can say that both times the people were TOP 👍. The food was super tasty and well arranged on both days. We wish the whole team a nice Christmas time and will definitely come back next year 🎄

As always, excellent. Went to the Irish Harp after an event at 10:30 p.m. and were lucky enough to get seats. Even though it was full, the service was quick and friendly.

Eigentlich ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Aber Wartezeiten von über 25min auf Getränke und mehr als eine Stunde auf das Essen geht gar nicht. Rückfragen werden lapidar beantwortet, ohne Aussicht auf Erfolg.

Was there for the first time yesterday and was positively surprised 😊you wouldn't expect such great food in a Pupp👍the garlic bread was really better than at the Greek restaurant 👍👍👍👍and there was nothing to complain about in the main course either, the portion size was more than sufficient and The waiters were also very nice and always available. They looked after us very well. I would love to come by again. Highly recommended

The pub seems to have had its heyday behind it... if you order something, ask beforehand how much it costs. The menu probably doesn't have the correct prices.....? .... e.g. the garlic bread.... shown at €4.50 now costs something with 6.x and you don't know what else is wrong... or the waitress ripped us off... also possible, but unfortunately no way . Sorry,... as I said,.... it was better...

In the market square with a lovely view if you sit outside. Good service, excellent beer (I had a Kilkenny) and good food, the kind you can find in an Irish pub. I had a very good lamb with vegetables. The price is good.

It was a nice few hours in the restaurant. The spare ribs were great and a mega portion of just the potato wedges and everything with potatoes was pretty sticky and not crispy, otherwise everything was ok.

For me, the Irish Pub in Zwickau is one of the most beautiful and best restaurants and bars in Zwickau. We were there as teenagers and really enjoyed sitting and drinking between 2006 and 2011. Almost 20 years later, the visit is still worth it. The food tastes very good, is freshly prepared and of course the good Irish beer. Of course, like everywhere else, prices have risen, but you know what you're getting. I also think it's very good that an extra smoking area has been created, which makes the whole atmosphere shine even more. Always worth a visit.

Order the Guinness with port wine. The portion sizes of the food were poor but the drinks were tasty and the service sweetened our group's evening with their beauty. 👍

We wanted to reserve a table in the non-smoking area for today, but there was nothing left. The waitress then spontaneously relocated us again because something became available. Super Service. Update January 2024: Rump steak was very good again. Service friendly. In contrast to other locations, the prices have not been increased. For January it was quite cold in the guest room and therefore a bit uncomfortable. Update May 2023: The food was really good. Ample portions, rump steak perfect, nice salad bouquet, appetizer plate top. Service very friendly. Cozy, service friendly, selection of drinks is okay. Unfortunately, food is no longer what it used to be. In the meantime you can still sit here and relax at a later hour. Smoking area is more chill than non-smoking area (says the non-smoker 😉). Update November 2022: It's absurd that various spirits run out on Friday evenings and that's why you can no longer order Aperol, for example. This shouldn't happen.

Immer wieder eine schöner Ort um in uriger Atmosphäre eine Bier zu trinken und eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Wir fühlen uns hier seit Jahren sehr wohl.
