I'm usually very patient, but calling after 2.5 hours to ask where the food is, only to be lied to and rudely insulted, is just too much. It was quiet when we ordered, and they said the wait would be a maximum of one hour. Never again. The food arrived cold, and some items were missing.

Found a new favorite restaurant. We finally went to Ionio for lunch today. We really enjoyed it. The selection is huge. The young waitress was extremely friendly. We immediately struck up a conversation and felt like we were in Greece. Since the food was also good, we'll definitely be back.

My new favorite Greek restaurant—I'm very happy with the food and the attentive staff 👍👍 Highly recommend the appetizer plate...as well as many other things. What I particularly like are the small dormer windows (seats) where you have a bit of privacy and aren't being bombarded by the noise from the next table. If you want Greek food...then this is the place 👍

We celebrated my father-in-law's 60th birthday yesterday at the Ionio Restaurant in Ganderkesee and were absolutely thrilled! We're currently vacationing at Falkensteinsee and went to the restaurant based on the positive reviews. I have to say, the reviews are absolutely justified. The food was incredibly delicious and the service excellent. All the staff were courteous and friendly. I hadn't heard of the coffee ouzo before, but it completely won me over. It's just a shame that it's so far from home and we can't come more often.

Nice Greek restaurant in Ganderkesee. Lovely, small, cozy corners invite you to linger. The service was very friendly and always present, but not intrusive. We tried the gyros in Metaxa sauce. It was delicious. The portions were very generous. The restaurant is lovingly decorated in Greek style. Iono is definitely recommended – even for larger groups.

We had a very good meal! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Unfortunately, we were only passing through, but if we're ever in the area again, we'll stop by again.

It started with tzatziki and garlic bread, both really tasty. Then came the salad, which was okay. Then, unfortunately, we waited an hour for the food to arrive. The food was good. The two waitresses were diligent, but one was missing.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a beautiful mix of traditional Greek decor and relaxed, friendly surroundings. The menu boasts an amazing selection of true Greek dishes, all bursting with fresh flavors. We started with the tzatziki and pita, which was the perfect way to start things off for what was to come. The souvlaki truly amazing in my opinion – rich, meaty, and made with the freshest ingredients. But the greatest thing that actually made us stand out was the incredible service and generosity of the owner. The owner proceeded to surprise us with free drinks after we had finished our meal, and it was such a generous and thoughtful gesture. It's very obvious that he actually cares about his customers and doesn't want you to leave the establishment without making you feel remembered.

Food and service are great. 4 stars for the ambience because it is way too bright.

Today we were at Ionio again after a while. We always liked it very much. But today we were disappointed. The food was usually very tasty but today it wasn't good. The service wasn't good either, I didn't know it anywhere else. The service didn't look particularly appetizing. Apron dingy. We always enjoyed going to the Ionio.

We were there with friends. Had ordered Georgian food in advance. There were various starters, salads and main courses. Something for every taste. The food was very tasty, the staff was always courteous and the chef and his wife were very nice and friendly towards us. We really enjoyed it, everything was tasty, we would recommend it and we would come back for the 85km route.

I didn't think it was that good...It's a matter of taste, of course, but I've often eaten much better...I had a village plate with souvlaki, gyros and steak...plus rice...First of all, the plate was just way too big, so it looked very empty...there was tzatziki but no coleslaw. The tomato rice wasn't at all like what I know.. you have to see and try it to understand that.. So it wouldn't be a restaurant that I absolutely have to go to again.. The atmosphere there is quite nice, but if the food isn't right, even the most beautiful surroundings are useless.. sorry guys, but that could be better!

All meat dishes were really okay. The salads are sometimes bland, the tzatziki is excellent. Luckily we ordered a bottle of ouzo (at a fair price) to bridge the long waiting times. Unfortunately, that was really necessary. The times between ordering and delivery to the table were enormous. There were also discrepancies at other tables and/or pre-orders. Overall, we had a lovely evening, which was also heavily influenced by the ouzo.

The restaurant is very welcoming and cozy. The garlic bread as a starter was very tasty, which I can recommend. I had a stir fry with chicken which was also delicious. The salad could be a little more varied, for example with beetroot, coleslaw or something similar. The service was very friendly.

Less salt and gyros crispy would be nice. Lamb fillet very tasty.

We ate there with 14 people. The largest room was made available for us. The room was completely sufficient. We even had a small additional table free where the children painted and played cards. We ordered the Georgian menu and it was super tasty. Everyone enjoyed it very much, it was deliciously prepared and the service was also very nice. We felt very comfortable. Were there for the first time but will definitely invite a few more friends and family there. It is really recommended.

We recently visited this wonderful restaurant serving Greek and Georgian cuisine and were absolutely delighted! The combination of two vibrant gastronomic cultures was simply amazing. Each dish is a real work of art: khachapuri melts in your mouth, juicy kebabs are perfectly fried, and the Greek salad is fresh and crispy. I would also like to note the atmosphere of the establishment - a cozy atmosphere, pleasant music and hospitable staff who are attentive to each guest. The waiters are happy to help you choose dishes and give excellent recommendations. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy delicious food, a friendly atmosphere and feel welcome, be sure to come here! We will definitely come back again!

Georgian food was incredibly delicious! The restaurant has a very nice and cozy atmosphere and great service. We'll be back!

The food was served on a cold plate and therefore the food was lukewarm. The food was then taken back and re-served. Unfortunately again on a cold plate. And was told that depending on how busy the plates could not be preheated. However, the place was half full. The open lamps above the tables blinded us. It was all a little too bright here for us.

For the first time in the same restaurant. I really liked everything. In addition to the Greek cuisine, there is also Georgian food (😋). I can only recommend it. Many thanks for the excellent food and the service.

Thin but not tough at all. Delicious seasoned. Great.😋 And, a plus from my side, Köstritzer Dunkel on tap!!!😊👏🏼 Great price...Gyros with liver with fries with tzatziki with side salad for €9.80. Without liver...€9.20. Of great quality. Can't be topped.

I ordered steak with rosemary potatoes. Food was cold and not enough for the price. Steak was supposed to be done but it was half raw and still bloody. Service was unfriendly, negative interaction with customers, not entirely focused on the matter. Thank you and never again

Were here for the first time, but there wasn't much going on and we still waited almost 45 minutes for our starters. The portions are really manageable and not even good. The ambience is very sober, but that, like the quality of the food, is a matter of taste.

Unfortunately, three of my wishes were not fulfilled in this restaurant. Instead of stuffed pork steak, I would have liked stuffed pork tenderloin. But it wasn't possible. As a starter I would like a combination of tzatziki and tarama fish roe, but this wasn't possible either. Then rice would actually have been served with my dish, but instead I received fries and the delivery of the rice took until my main course was full... I also asked for a pepper mill instead of a pepper tax, but unfortunately they couldn't offer me that either... It's a shame... Last but not least, when we were billed we were asked if the amount should be rounded up? 🫨 Sorry, but this restaurant does not meet our expectations.

Was here for the first time. Even though the restaurant is on the main street, you don't get any noise inside. There is also a garden on the long side, but it was not yet open. The food is varied. Typical Greek cuisine. I had lamb fillet. ( very good.). My companion zander fillet. She was also happy, portio. It was lush, but still good quality. Prices are normal. Service was great. Very friendly. Toilets not used. Parking spaces next to the building. Credit and EC cards are accepted. I would like to eat again if I were nearby. Overall rating very good. 5 stars

Were there at Easter, the room was uncomfortable and small for 20 people. The drinks came to the table relatively quickly, thanks to the good service, but the food wasn't that full, the gyros weren't really cooked through, the tzatziki was a bit like garlic permeated (extreme) and the fries were too bland.
