Inselgasthof Nass in Rees

Wir waren mal wieder im Restaurant Nass – und es hat sich erneut gelohnt! Bei schönem Wetter genießt man eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den Niederrhein, was den Besuch zu einem echten Erlebnis macht. Das Essen ist einfach klasse! Ich bin eigentlich kein großer Fischesser und greife meist zum Steak, aber dieses Mal habe ich den Lachs probiert – und war begeistert, wie lecker Fisch sein kann. Auch die Gerichte der anderen sahen nicht nur optisch hervorragend aus, sondern überzeugten durch ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Portionen sind großzügig, ganz gleich welches Gericht man wählt. Ich bin bisher immer satt und zufrieden nach Hause gefahren – da lohnen sich auch die 80 Kilometer Anfahrt. Besonders positiv ist uns auch der gelungene Umbau aufgefallen – das Ambiente ist jetzt noch einladender. Der Service ist wie immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

wir waren wiedr beim Inselgasthof Nass ein. Es war so wie immer : sehr gut Wir haben diesmal das Isländisches Rotbarschfilet gebraten mit Remouladensauce und den wieder den Seniorenfischteller gegessen. Diesmal konnten wir am späten Nachmittag auch auf der Terrasse sitzen und neben dem Essen auch den Blick auf den Rhein genießen.

Hier op advies van vrienden heen gegaan, beetje ouderwetse inrichting, de toiletten zijn prachtig nieuw ! Het us een visrestaurant maar ik kon ook kiezen uit vleesgerechten Erg aardige bediening met water en koekjes voor de hond. Prima gegeten met partner die gek op vis is, we komen graag een keer terug!

Schickes Fischrestaurant in sehr gute Lage. Direkt am Rhein gelegen, mit einem Fensterplatz hat man einen guten Blick auf den Schiffsverkehr. Speisekarte ist umfangreich, Schwerpunkt liegt auf Fisch (Süss- und Salzwasser). Die Preise sind angemessen, die Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Qualitativ und von der Präsentation absolut ohne Tadel. Fisch wird gebraten oder gedünstet angeboten, Bratkartoffeln sind eine klare Empfehlung als Beilage. Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam - auch bei voller Belegung. Ohne Reservierung ist am Wochenende und an Feiertagen kein Tisch zu bekommen. Wir waren mehrfach hier, auch eine Anfahrt von 70 km lohnt sich.

Best sole I've ever eaten! At the Inselgasthof Rass I enjoyed incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared sole with fried potatoes and salad - simply fantastic! Everything was fresh and on point. Personally, the lobster soup was a bit too salty for me, but that's probably due to my taste as I generally don't like salty foods. Still a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere – I’ll definitely be back!

An excellent restaurant! The top address for fresh fish and seafood in a very wide area. My family has been eating there for over 20 years (often!) and there has never been a problem or bad food! The inn is located directly on the Rhine and has a pleasant clientele. The staff is competent and courteous and is personally very attached to the restraunt. The prices absolutely correspond to the quality! The store has recently been renovated inside and now has very pleasant lighting as well as “sound wave-catching ceilings” that ensure pleasant acoustics and a great ambience. Personal recommendations from me are the lobster bisque, the prawns in batter and the salmon tagliatelle, simply fantastic! Be sure to make a reservation, as it is always very crowded at peak times and it is rarely possible to get a table spontaneously!

Excellent restaurant to eat very good quality fish. We went on a Friday and it was quite full, it is advisable to reserve. They have many options to taste fish, seafood, meats, etc. Everything is very good. The time to deliver what we ordered was reasonable.

We have been regular customers there for 7 years. We have never been disappointed with the service and quality of the food. It's excellent. The best restaurant on the Lower Rhine or far and wide for us!! Now with our baby we always receive such a warm welcome. The staff is so child-friendly and even takes time with the littlest customers. As a couple, we are in our early 30s and feel completely comfortable. In summer we enjoy the beautiful weather on the outdoor terrace with a view of the Rhine. We always leave the restaurant more than satisfied. Many thanks also to the great staff!!! Very good food, both fish and meat dishes. Tasty large salad, friendly service, who look after the guests, get a very pleasant table and feel comfortable. Reservations are recommended, the Testaurant is an insider tip. Very nice suite, the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Thank you for everything!

Delicious, honestly cooked food. There were two of us as guests and we both ate fish. Well prepared, tasty side dishes, delicious Pommery mustard sauce. Good wines, well tempered, at good prices. We had a great evening. The location is wonderful, also attractive in the evenings.

We have often had to travel 1 hour to eat there, but unfortunately this time it had a bitter aftertaste. I had reserved a table a few weeks in advance. When I arrived I was told that the table would only be available for one hour, after I looked a bit disbelieving it was then increased to 1 hour 20 minutes. This was neither mentioned when we made the reservation over the phone nor was we offered an alternative table upon arrival without a time limit. Normally I would have left immediately if we hadn't been invited. Conclusion: We were quickly fobbed off with food and drinks; the question about dessert or coffee was never asked again. The food was very tasty, you can't say anything about it, but the rest unfortunately really spoiled our pre-Christmas meal. When making a reservation, I therefore always recommend asking whether the table is limited in time so that you don't have to eat in unison. The kitchen and food deserve 5 stars

Top fresh fish - top service. Always recommended.

We were there today, like many times before. We had reserved and were really looking forward to it. When we arrived we were given a time estimate of 1 to 1.5 hours. The food then arrived in piecemeal and no one asked in between whether they should order drinks. Unfortunately we were there for the last time. Two stars because the food was delicious.

We ate in the restaurant. Unfortunately it was dark, otherwise we would have really enjoyed the great location with a view of the Rhine. The food and service were excellent. There were three of us. We were all thrilled. My roast beef was on point, the side dishes were delicious and the pepper sauce was awesome.

We had lunch and we've never had such a good fish dish before. Conditions super friendly. It almost doesn't get any better. The location is very nice but when the ferry stops running it is not so nice to take a walk.

Very tasty and portions generous. We ate well and deliciously and treated ourselves to this for our wedding anniversary. Staff friendly and nice. I can recommend fried eel and zander. We were there on October 5/6, 24 with 7 people. We arrived by bike and had a great place to park with a power supply to charge the eBike batteries. The food was excellent, the service and the landlady were very friendly. Great rooms and a sumptuous breakfast made the weekend a complete experience. Price and performance also fit well. Highly recommended, we would love to come back.

Actually recommended as a fish restaurant. But the requested reservation is complicated and not possible in our case. We wanted to make a reservation on a weekday with a group of 8 people. That wasn't possible because you couldn't put tables together. Two tables, although four at a distance, would probably be possible. It's a shame, but the farewell dinner took place on the other side of the Rhine

The Inselgasthof Nass am Rhein is an absolute insider tip for a trip into nature. There is no restaurant in the area that offers such a large selection of fresh fish dishes. The fact that the house is always fully booked clearly speaks for the quality. The portions are generous and the inn is traditionally run by the family that owns it - that shows in every respect. The staff is extremely friendly and competent. No matter whether it's fish, meat, vegetables or drinks, you always get a well-founded recommendation. I strongly advise making reservations before visiting. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upper middle class, but the quality and portion sizes fully justify this. A digestive walk along the Rhine after eating is also highly recommended. Clear recommendation!

The restaurant is probably aimed at an older crowd 60+, but I didn't like it that much. The waiter wasn't really friendly, you had to keep asking for the drinks. The portions were too big for me personally. The noodles were too salty. Otherwise the starter and salad were delicious. It's very busy, just like canteens. I wouldn't necessarily go there again.

Seit 2010 sind wir mehrfach im Jahr gerne die 90 km bis zum Inselgasthof Nass gefahren, weil der Weg es uns wert war, um in bürgerlichem Ambiente gut zubereiteten frischen Fisch serviert zu bekommen, und ausserdem die umliegende Natur nebst Rhein zu genießen. Beim letzten Besuch bekamen wir von einer genervten Platzanweiserin den von uns bestellten Tisch aus der Ferne mit dem Finger gezeigt und wurden dann stehen gelassen. Wie gut, daß im Eingangsbereich ein Bilderrahmen mit Fotoportrait vom Opa (der sonst hinter der Theke stand) aufgestellt war, sonst hätten wir womöglich noch gedacht, daß wir im falschen Restaurant gelandet sind. Am Tisch wurden wir wie gewohnt freundlich bedient, aber leider wurde nicht wie gewohnt, ein perfekt filetiert und gebratenes Mittelstück vom Kabeljau serviert, sondern zum 2. Mal in diesem Jahr zwei ausgebackene Schwanzstücke mit Haut und Gräten... Es scheint, mit der gut gelungenen Renovierung von Gasträumen und Sanitär sind ein paar für uns wichtige Qualitätsmerkmale verloren gegangen, darum haben wir zu unserem großen Bedauern entschieden, vorerst nicht mehr wiederzukommen. Schade eigentlich!

The best fish restaurant I know. In addition, in a beautiful landscape. Please take a detour to Rees beforehand, the most beautiful town on the Lower Rhine. The dining room has been redesigned. Nicely modernized. New, deep windows - so you can see the beautiful Rhine panorama from every seat. If the toilets are renovated now everything will be great. The food was great as always. CONGRATULATIONS

Wir waren dort mit fünf Personen zum Essen an einem Samstag (mittags). Wir selbst kannten dieses Lokal vorher nicht (die weiteren Familienmitglieder schon) und waren bei der Anreise überrascht, als sich recht unerwartet eine Aussicht wie im Urlaub eröffnete, die man auch von der Terrasse des Lokals genießen kann. Eigentlich hatten wir einen Tisch im Innenbereich reserviert, konnten dann aber wegen des guten Wetters problemlos doch auf die Terrasse wechseln. Das gesamte Lokal inkl. Terrasse ist offensichtlich modernisiert und ansprechend eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Tische auf der Terrasse waren sehr einladend (!) dekoriert. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht, aber nicht überfüllt. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich, "unser" Kellner war nicht nur bemüht, sondern auch fähig und sehr charmant und schnell. Er hatte einen guten Überblick und war wirklich ein gutes Beispiel für einen "Dienstleister von/vom Herzen". Er hat durch seine Art zu einem schönen Aufenthalt beigetragen. Aber Charme und guter Service sind ja nicht (ausschließlich) entscheidend. Wie war das Essen? Eine ausreichend umfangreiche Speisekarte, tendenziell eher für Fisch-Esser, aber auch für Nicht-Fisch-Esser (wie mich). Es wurden verschiedene Gerichte bestellt, überwiegend dann Fischgerichte und ich wählte ein Steak. Beilagensalate waren sehr lecker, die Hauptgerichte auch. Die anderen lobten die Bratkartoffeln. Mein Fleischgericht war wirklich gut und wie bestellt (medium). Der Besuch hat sich gelohnt: Tolle Lage mit Ausblick, sehr guter Service und auch wirklich gutes Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
