The food was good and the service was very friendly and tried to fulfill special requests :) unfortunately all the clothes smelled of grease/cooking after the visit, which is why I wouldn't give it 5 stars. Maybe a better extractor in the kitchen? Still a good restaurant if you want to eat Indian food and don't want to leave Ravensburg

Traditional family business with a relaxed atmosphere. Samosas and lamb are particularly recommended

Visit on 10/10/24. First of all I would like to mention that the food was perfect. We were able to bring our two small dogs! The atmosphere is very pleasant, lots of space between the tables, a place to feel good. Communication with the waiter was a bit difficult, but acceptable. An absolute no go, therefore only one point for service and only 3 points in total, no card payment is possible. This caused me great embarrassment.

I haven't eaten so badly in years. Every canteen meal is a poem against it. Waiter speaks neither German nor English👍🏻

Unfortunately, the former India House has had a new owner for about 2 months. The reviews below are not transferable to the new restaurant. Our experience was sobering. Long waiting times and a large menu - unfortunately not an advantage. Dishes are not prepared as defined on the menu. Prices are also very high for the size of the portions. Waiter doesn't speak German, boss is very short-tempered We won't be coming back

Has had a new operator since August. Finally a good Indian restaurant in Ravensburg. The food is absolutely recommended! Important: At lunchtime, ask for the yellow lunch menu for the smaller and cheaper dishes. Unfortunately, this is not always presented automatically.

Diverse and stimulating menu, also a great selection for vegetarians 😊 Our combination of starters and a main course for two was just right. The different Ayurvedic flavors have been met. You can also sit outside, in the evening sun or shade.

We ordered and paid online, we also received a confirmation email. After 1.5 hours we tried to call 4 times without success. Then we had to drive to the restaurant only to find that the restaurant was closed. 44€ and wasted 1.5 hours not getting food. 👎👎👎

We were with four friends, five in total. The order was taken very quickly, even though the waiter was very busy. There were five other people in the restaurant besides us, so I couldn't understand why we waited an hour for the food. In addition, we didn't all get what we ordered. The couple next to us didn't have the patience and left early. Full of hunger and with no alternatives, we stayed, which I regretted. The food was not tasty and the service was also at a very low level. I will avoid India Haus for the next while and will only return until the usual quality is achieved

Order placed on March 28th, 2024, no delivery after 2 hours, no one answered the phone, no answer to my email, now had to open a case with Paypal to get my money. I'll never order anything there again.

We waited for over an hour for our food and then the completely wrong thing came. I have no idea what's going on, the store used to be good. Unfortunately it has diminished significantly. I will avoid him for the foreseeable future.

Came yesterday afternoon. This is the worst restaurant I have ever seen in my life. The worst Indian food I have ever eaten. Worst service and worst atmosphere. I think it would be better if you closed the restaurant.

Sadly not as good as before and not worth the money (~20€ for the lamb curry). The sauce was thin and very sour and the Nan bread wasnt given time to rise and too dense and burned black at some parts. Was told the cook was sick and someone else cooked but you cant demand the same price for low quality. Service was new and unmotivated to serve us. Wont come again (unless something changes for the better).

At 6 p.m. I ordered online via the website. The order confirmation stated 6:45 p.m. as the delivery date. I called for the first time at 7:25 p.m. because the food wasn't there yet. The information was that there was a lot going on and the food would be coming soon. At 8:15 p.m. I called again and was told that the food was on the way. At 8:43 p.m. I called again to let them know that the food no longer needed to be delivered. I was told that they would ask again where the supplier was and that I would get a call back. It's now 9:46 p.m. and I haven't gotten a call back or had the food delivered. The restaurant simply stopped responding.

Ordered online and paid immediately. Food didn't arrive even after 2 hours. No one responded to calls. We then went there and it turned out that the restaurant was closed.

Unfortunately, it was really bad: the order was not delivered. When we went there ourselves to pick up the food and show our confirmation, we called the owner several times, who promised twice to take care of it, but didn't do so. Not even after forwarding the order overview and payment confirmation. We had the food two hours after ordering. They didn't want to give us back the two euros we had paid online for delivery. The meal wasn't warmed up for that. A somewhat clumsy conclusion to a thoroughly unsuccessful delivery.

I didn't want to write a review, but after I got the stomach problems, I'll write something. The food is so so. The chiken nuggets didn't have an ounce of meat. A fat cockroach on the floor.....The wine was decent.

I've eaten here several times, but the quality, cleanliness and service are now an absolute disaster. Take a look at lunchtime, everything is empty, no guests come to the lunch table, dirty tablecloths, boss with a curry smeared mouth sitting with a headset, boxes, crust, clothes, old decorations, purchases, packaging material, etc. are everywhere. I have never experienced anything like it. Looks like you're in his living room. I ordered chicken curry and got lamb or beef in fat floating. The naan bread, tasteless and mushy. Food was below standard, I've eaten much better Indian food. The owner should urgently work on his restaurant, otherwise the thing will soon go down the drain. He now also offers burgers, which has already been taken down on Lieferando because it wasn't well received and the reviews were subpar. Back to the roots, keep the place clean, improve the quality of the food again and clear your living room from the restaurant, it has no place there.

There used to be a lunch buffet there from Monday to Saturday, which I thought was really great. Unfortunately that no longer exists. The food tastes good, the restaurant is very centrally located in the city center.

We were in this restaurant several times. Unfortunately I have to delete my review from two years ago and re-evaluate it after tonight's visit. It was an empty, unclean, uncomfortable restaurant with exactly one guest except us. No music. The waiter speaks bad English but my German (why in Germany). Well, we ordered our food like we always ate it there. Quality has now dropped significantly, for starters there was MAYONNAISE instead of Indian sauces?! Wow! The food was ok. Still, all in all, no thanks! And I'm far from finished listing the negative aspects.

We were here for dinner. The restaurant looked very messy at first glance. The waitress couldn't speak a word of German. The food was really terrible. The sauce was watery, the food was really very spicy even though it wasn't advertised as spicy, and the seasoning was really terrible, and there was nothing at all offered for children. Afterwards we wanted to pay and had to wait a really long time because the condition was that we first had to go shopping at the Penny across the street. And if the chef is on vacation, a good replacement should simply be provided. That's a disgrace. We definitely won't come again...

Absolutely dubious. Food ordered on the homepage for home delivery and paid for in advance. I didn't get any food and neither did I get my money. There has been no response to my complaint for 2 weeks. Never again!

I have been coming to India House regularly for over 10 years. The food was always delicious, even yesterday when the chef was sick, the team prepared us a great meal. The service itself is very attentive and friendly, and the waiting time was always more than okay. I have to admit that the ambience is not perfect. The area around the counter seems a bit untidy, also due to the all-you-can-eat furniture that is left there in the evenings and documents lying around. The team didn't do themselves any favors with the dim lighting yesterday. If I hadn't called, I would have thought the restaurant was closed. The rest of the restaurant is fine. You might find it a bit cheesy, but it's just Indian.

The food is incredibly tasty and the service is great! The boss sat down and chatted with us when we were the first guests early in the evening. Simply an all-round delicious, beautiful and nice restaurant!

We have been eating Tandori dishes for years and can highly recommend No. 42! Delicious! It costs a little more than before (€20.90) but it's still a great dish. Service also very nice! Definitely worth a visit!

Leckeres und authentisches Restaurant mit indischer Küche. Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich und versteht es die Wünsche seiner Kundschaft umzusetzen.

It could have been a 4 star, maybe, but every 4 dishes we ordered was way too salty. We were hungry, ate them and did not want to make trouble, but actually we should not have done that. The strange thing on top: when it comes to pay, the waiter comes to the table without any invoice and announces the amount of the bill. After we blindly paid, we realised it was wrong. Not too much, but still. As we asked for the detailed bill it eventually came. Why that? 🤔 Last recommendation, in case you still want to eat there: they charge tab water for a scandalous price!

Das Essen war gut hat gut geschmeckt, der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Zeit zwischen den Gängen dauerte mehr als eine drei Viertel Stunde. Wollte Getränke nach bestellen, vergeblich, Rotwein aus Indien gab es nicht. Ich hatte noch nie so trocken gegessen. Nicht zu empfehlen!!!!

Fand es besser als Zur Post - Amrit & Shiva Indisches Restaurant in Weingarten. Schön zu sehen, dass das Personal fließend Englisch + Deutsch sprechen konnte. Ich sah sie wie eine Maschine in der Küche arbeiten. Die Toilette sah sauber aus. Ich denke, die Sauberkeit wurde ziemlich gut gehalten. Das Essen war köstlich. Der Chefkoch selbst kam und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Es gab einen Fehler in der Bestellung, aber ich neige dazu, darüber hinwegzusehen, weil ich sehe, dass sie ihr Bestes tun, um einen guten Service zu bieten). Ich fühlte mich, als würde ich nach langer Zeit wieder zu Hause essen. Ich werde wieder kommen. Danke))

Das Restaurant war sauber. Leider gab es statt indischer Saucen, Ketchup zum Brot. Das Tandoori Chicken schmeckte gut, die vegetarischen Gerichte dagegen wirkten als wären sie mit Tiefkühl-Buttergemüse, anstatt mit frischer Kost. Auch die Sauce wirkte wie Sahne mit Gewürzen.

Gutes Essen, große Portionen, gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Die Klos sind naja. Leider versteht und spricht das Personal nicht so gut Deutsch so das mit der Bestellung immer wieder was schief läuft.

Ich weiß nicht wie die guten Bewertungen zustande kommen, vielleicht hatten wir einfach Pech. Der Service ist super - wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das Ambiente ist nicht schön, es sieht unaufgeräumt aus (es liegen Unterlagen und "Kram" auf den hinteren Tischen) und die Stühle sind inzwischen sehr durchgesessen. Papadam haben wir keines bekommen, aber dafür u.a. Ketchup und Mayonnaise, was meiner Meinung nach gar nicht zu indischem Essen passt. Das von mir bestellte "Chicken Kashmiri", was lt. Beschreibung eine milde Soße aus Cashewkernen sein sollte, war letztlich eine gut gewürzte Tomatensoße. Wir waren leider super enttäuscht und werden so schnell nicht mehr wieder vorbei kommen.

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Ambiente: Stühle ausgesessen & zu tief für den Tisch, auf einem Tisch lagen unordentlich Bürounterlagen und diverse andere Sachen die nicht in ein Restaurant gehören. Essen: zur Vorspeise wurden 3 Soßen mit auf den Tisch gestellt, 1, davon war Tomatenketchup! Die andere schmeckte wie Remoulade. Hauptgang war Hähnchen mit einem TK Gemüsemix (die Karotten in Scheiben mit dem klassischen Wellenschnitt) in scharfer Tomatensoße-in der Karte stand nichts von Tomaten. Fazit: absolut keine Empfehlung!

While vacationing in Ravensburg, found this little gem. Absolutely delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. Super fast service and the staff were so friendly. I recommend this place.

Essen war ausgezeichnet, etwas teuer. Service könnte aufmerksamer den Gästen gegenüber sein, lange Wartezeiten bis Personal kommt.

Hier gibt's richtig gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Wenn man lecker Indisch essen will, dann geht man hier her. Immer wieder ein Genuss.

Chicken vindaloo was nice, but the butter chicken was too sweet it felt like I’m eating chutney chicken. That was definitely not butter chicken. Not at all recommended.
