In Mez­zo in Warendorf

On a beautiful, warm Sunday we sat outside where it was very easy to sit. You have a good view of what's going on in the old town and you can comfortably drink your iced coffee...which was very tasty by the way...so great👍

I think the food there is really great, but the service and friendliness is below all dignity. I was there some time ago with my regulars and I wanted a new chair because mine was speckled white by a bird and they rudely said why it's dry, I can take it...you don't have to talk about it, it wasn't as tasty as it was and I didn't want to sit on it and the second thing was that my drink order, which I also had, was forgotten and I said something twice and waved... in the end I stayed dry and gave up and thought about the future. .. I'll be happy to leave my money somewhere else... it's probably not necessary. I know two others with similar experiences, it seems like this happens more often. I hope it's being worked on.

I come here to eat often. I've never had a dish that I didn't like 100%. We recommend!

Salmon tastes burnt and is described by the restaurant manager as having a “herb crust”. Very unfriendly service. Small portions for a high price. Never again.

We had 2 super delicious pizzas (rocket with parmesan and salmon with spinach) and were also thrilled by the beautiful ambience of the market square.

The starter (antipasti) unanimously did not convince us, very bland and not at all commensurate with the price. The pizza was good and crispy. What we didn't like at all was the service - very unfriendly and disinterested. Neither a “thanks” for the tip nor a “bye”. Unfortunately we were surrounded by smoking tables, so only 3 stars for the actually nice ambience. If you value good service, you've definitely come to the wrong place here.

We were on vacation here in Warendorf for 1 week. So we had the opportunity to get to know some of the restaurants. On the last evening we ended up in “Mezzo”, the house has the claim to be a lounge, bar and ristorante and also runs the neighboring ice cream parlor. There is delicious ice cream there, but without any service - just an ice cream parlor. The restaurant, which has a variety of outdoor dining options in a prime location, serves cliche Italian cuisine. The tables have no table culture whatsoever. There is no menu display, and yet tourist city visitors and Ems cyclists tumble in. The ambience on the historic market square is overwhelming. We had registered for 6:00 p.m. The weather in June was unstable, so our window of time to be indoors was limited to 2 hours. The reception was friendly. We ordered house wine - Mezzo Litro - as we are used to in Italy. Here at Mezzo, however, only 0.2 liters are served, and so we had to do without carafe service. There was also a serious error in the presentation of the starter, but we tolerated it. We waited in vain for a “Grazie”, no matter what kind. When the starter was cleared away, we were asked to pick up the used cutlery again. We acted naive and got new cutlery. As usual, we should have eaten pasta with a serrated knife and fork. The main courses (pasta dishes) were not very subtle in taste. Rather, the dishes contained whole cloves of garlic, plenty of reduced cooking cream and a “something” that was named on the menu as strips of beef. A few shrimp that I personally know from the frozen range in the lower price range (Metro). Overall, a restaurant that is suitable for a quick stop (warm food throughout). However, our expectations (“best Italian in Warendorf”) were not met. If we come here again, we will look for good, authentic gastronomy again. We leave the Mezzo to the disorientated tourists and cyclists.

As always, friendly and quick service and the pizza was again very tasty! Gluten-free pizza is now also on the menu!

We were there at the weekend with a larger group. The food came quickly and almost at the same time for everyone, great service and delicious food 👍

I was seriously sent away because I sat down at a table and waited for someone and I was lied to about the place being reserved, what a kindergarten!

Great service paired with very good food. We really enjoy eating there. We can also recommend simply sitting outside when the weather is nice and enjoying a wine. The staff is very friendly. We always enjoy coming there.

I had booked for 15 people: starters in the middle and individually ordered main course. The food was highly praised. The market square is of course really worth seeing!

Very friendly family business, always with a saying on their lips. Very nice modern, comfortable facilities, the toilets are clean. You have the option to sit inside or outside. Reservation recommended. Very tasty, no matter what you order, additional requests are catered for. Thank you very much

It's nice to sit on the market square in the Mezzo

There is a very good Italian in Mezzo, with a great and very nice team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Great cuisine, very tasty food 🍕🥗🍝 and drinks 🥂🍻🍹🍸☕, Very nice atmosphere inside and outside. We are always happy to be there again. We 👫 can only recommend the Italian. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Das Lokal ist schön eingerichtet. Der Service war ganz gut. Mein Essen hatte ich mir etwas anders vorgestellt. Meine Nudeln mit Pilzen (33) war mediterran leider mit etwas zu viel Öl zubereitet. Die Nudeln mit den Garnelen in Weißweinsauce (31) sah sehr gut aus und ist auch gut angekommen.

Gutes Essen Preis und Leistung sind sehr gut.

Sehr schöner Außenbereich. Der Blick auf die historischen Häuser versetzt einen in Urlaubsstimmung. Essen sehr gut und reichlich.

Sehr schön auf dem Markplatz gelegen - tolle Kulisse und leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Besonders die Nummer 31 (Fettucini mit Rindfleisch und Garnelen) ist nur zu empfehlen. Aber auch das Essen auf den anderen Tischen roch sehr gut und sah sehr lecker aus. Nettes, freundliches Personal. Einziger kleiner Wunsch: man könnte vielleicht noch mehr/andere Auswahl beim Nachtisch haben. 😊

kurzer Stop in WAF, Mittagspause. Ansprechendes Lokal mit Außenrestaurant im Zentrum. Das Essen, preislich hoch angesiedelt, war aber prima. Die Servicekräfte leider gestresst und unbeteiligt. Schade, sonst wäre es wirklich rund gewesen.

Sehr nettes Restaurant mit super netten und zuvorkommend. Essen schmeckt sehr lecker besonder die Pizza ist sehr zu empfehlen. Der hauswein ist ok, aber eine vielzahl an Weinsorten zur Auswahl. Aufjedenfall weiter zu empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Essen im Herzen von Warendorf. Allerdings könnte sich der " Oberkellner" eine Scheibe Freundlichkeit von seinen Kollegen abschneiden. Gnocchis und Aperol Spritz sehr zu empfehlen 👍

Leckere Pizza 🍕, leckerer Salat 🥗 Nizza ! Waren am Freitag Abend da, war gut besucht, viele Tische reserviert! Aber es gab noch Platz für 2 Personen! Tolles Ambiente und Service war auch gut. Preis - Leistung war okay!

Gemütlich. Wenn man bei schönem Wetter einen Platz auf dem Marktplatz Warendorfs ergattert, sitzt man in Warendorfs Wohnzimmer.

Schöner Tag. Gutes Essen. Was will man mehr. Man sollte trotzdem aufpassen ob die extra Wünsche erfüllt werden oder nicht oder alles im allen Super gerne wieder.

Heute mal das Eis probiert. Sehr lecker und die Kugel für 1.50 € sehr gut in der heutigen Zeit. Auch freundliches Personal.
