Super delicious food, would be back again

It was very tasty, we drove an extra 2 hours to Hochsauerlandkreis to test it (saw the article with Mirco Reh Kabel 1 tester) and we'll eat there again the next time we visit Cologne 😁

Once and never again, I got food there and when I unpacked it I noticed that small animals were coming out of it. Just disgusting. The test that was there weeks ago was supposed to go in the evening.

The gyros and fries were really tasty, I would eat there more often and the service was really friendly too

Another flop! Gyros, tzatziki, fries, mayo… A simple discipline, but still out of place here! Plates more than manageable, food completely tasteless and 14.40 euros. Simply loveless! Sorry, other Greeks can do that much better!

Yummy. The welcome was friendly and the gyros were juicy and fresh. The portions are just okay, for €13.50 I ate a lot less and worse. Tzaziki is homemade and delicious, the fries are crispy. The facility is getting a bit old, but it's still okay.

I've known the snack bar for over 20 years. The food is freshly prepared and tastes delicious. Only the ambience is getting old and it could be cleaned a little more, especially the heating from above/inside doesn't look particularly attractive. But you don't necessarily have to stay there, there is seating in front of the door and/or you can take it home with you

We happened to eat there today! For 2 complete gyros and 2 beers €36.80! The gyros were extremely dry, tzatziki didn't taste like anything and the salad dressing was probably out of a box. I don't actually rate it badly, but if I add another tenner, I get a great grilled plate, salad & 2 beers in a Croatian restaurant for €45. The hygiene conditions in this chip shop are not without their own! As far as I'm concerned the shop may be old but it should be clean! Sorry for the bad review but the price/performance ratio isn't right here either! I also have to positively mention the mature lady behind the counter! She was very friendly and warm!

Sooo so yeah, where should we start, so first of all me and my colleagues were hungry, it was the evening and we could eat anywhere but we wanted Greek, on Google it said that the restaurant was still waiting for over an hour but the staff was too busy I finished smoking my lung torpedo and then flicked the small stump onto my white shirt (thanks for the burn mark). Criminal proceedings were initiated.

Gyro plate complete, there were very few gyros on the plate but a lot of salad and fries. Overpriced

I don't really like giving a bad review but the premises are really getting old and it's not clean. The pizza tasted good but had a lot of room for improvement. Very hard-working owner but the dirty tables and the heating alone speak volumes. In such a top location it's a shame.

Let's put it this way...The food is ok and the shop is clean and the atmosphere.....is just a snack bar and not a 3 star restaurant. As a customer you receive friendly service and that is important, but overall the Athena Imbiss doesn't come close to my Greek tribe. But I'm just used to the Tzatziki at Ernis on Rolsrover Street and I've been going to Ernis for so long - I was still a teenager and now I'm 48. But you can go to Athena with peace of mind!!!

Had dinner there yesterday with 5 people. The gyros tasted old. Schnitzel was TK Ware Jägersosse a finished product. When I paid I saw that the oil in the deep fryer was dark brown. There hasn't been any cleaning under the chip tray or under the preparation area for a very long time. The whole shop is already covered in dirt and I wonder why he can continue to run his business like this. I will definitely take action here and inform the health department about this situation. All 5 of us had stomach aches after visiting there and were only able to enjoy the Apache concert to a limited extent.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything positive to say about the Athena snack bar. Let's start with the prices. A gyros pita costs a whopping €8.50 and a currywurst fries costs €7.00!? People, these prices are really exorbitant, even for a big city like Cologne... The taste depends... depending on what you like... fries crispy, gyros juicy but the currywurst like rubber.... so you have to know for yourself. My conclusion for 2 small portions rounded up to €20 is absolutely not worth it.

A little worn in appearance, but good portions. No EC payment possible. But the gyro is ok.

I passed the Athena snack bar at a trade fair and picked something up. The staff was very friendly, the food was prepared quickly, was rich and really tasty. I'd love to come back when I'm in the area.

I was there with my brother-in-law and I was thrilled. We both had Gyrospita complete and that is highly recommended. The meat was nice and juicy and well done and the side dishes were also very tasty (salad, fries, sauce. Gladly again.

Okay for a quick snack. Gyros plate absolutely not exceptional and relatively small portions compared to other gyros snacks I know. No card payment possible.

I came by by chance. The service was a little overwhelmed. You pay €10 for a pita and a drink To eat: The pita was simply placed on a plate. Without aluminum foil everything fell apart and the mess was inevitable. Tzaziki was a little bland, the meat was more dry than crispy. If you take a closer look, you will notice the standard of hygiene. This doesn't seem to be too high. It's dirty in the corners - the heating speaks volumes. It was okay, but I won't come a second time.

Catastrophe!!!!! Very unfriendly service!! I've never experienced anything like this before... especially the woman covered in makeup!! Every Greek is better in Cologne, also in terms of price!

I found out about the snack from Mirko Reeh's article on Kabel Eins and I have to say, I can only agree with him, the gyro plate with rice noodles was very tasty! Only the atmosphere could be a bit cleaner and more modern, but otherwise very good!

Unfortunately not as good as before. The gyro meat was very dry, the tzatziki had hardly any taste, hardly any garlic in it, mayo had hardly any taste, a shame, it was much better before Corona.

Friendly service, but the Gyros Pita was very average.

The staff was friendly, but on Haie game days it was probably just mass processing, the currywurst was fried far too short and lukewarm. Wasn't worth the price of €7.50 with fries.

Ordered today and what was delivered was simply subpar! Not even worth one star! The gyro was inedible and the pizza, instead of the 29cm ordered, was just 24cm at the largest point and didn't deserve a star in terms of taste. Can't recommend ordering here.

Gyros Pita offen vor Ort. Zwei 0,33 Kölsch für insgesamt 16,90 Euro... Na ja mmmhhhh , ganz schön gierig diese Preise für einen Imbiss in Düx und genauso anderswo!

Ich hatte Pommes Currywurst Mayonnaise. Da sollte man meinen, da kann man nichts falsch machen... falsch gedacht. Die soße ist mehr Wasser als Currysoße und das Gericht insgesamt, war auch nicht so der Knaller. Für den Preis gibt es besseres in unmittelbarer Umgebung.

Ich habe heute versucht ein Gyros, Fritten, Tzaziki dort zu genießen. Leider war das Essen mehr als schlecht. Mieses Gyros Fleisch was nicht gewürzt war. Die Fritten hatten auch keinen Geschmack und der Mann wunderte sich das ich 10,90 € trotzdem noch für einen fast vollen Teller zahlte. Das Essen verursacht Magenkrämpfe und ich kann das leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen! Auch nicht mit Ouzo. Ich war gerade in Griechenland, da bekommt man Qualität und kein Essen was Krämpfe und Durchfall auslöst!

Sie waren stets bemüht...nee, geht gar nicht. Service schlecht, Essen mittelprächtig, Einrichtung gruselig,,,und dann noch ein TV an der Wand. Für mich ein No-go, gibt bessere Griechen in Köln, schade..... update 15.04.19: unterirdisch ekelhaft...0 Sterne! never again! update 16.04.19: Bei der Lage und dem ständig wechselden Publikum kann man auch unterste Schublade anbieten, ist eh egal-der Hunger treibts rein... Pita für 5,50 €....pfff...ich glaub da geh ich sogar noch eher zu MCD....einfach nur ärgerlich!!!

Gyros pita ist dort absolut ungenießbar und es schmeckt nicht mal nach Gyros. Schlaff und fade.

Ist ein ganz guter Imbiss in der Nähe zur Lanxess Arena mit einer guten Auswahl an Gerichten, habe dort ein Nudelgericht gegessen was sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Getränke kann man sich dort selber aus zwei Kühlschränken nehmen die dort stehen. Das Personal ist sehr nett, man musste nicht lange warten auf das Essen und die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Sollte ich mal wieder auf einem Konzert dort sein, schaue ich da gerne wieder vorbei.

Einer der besten Gyros in Köln. Hausgemachter Krautsalat ist der Hammer. Die Fritten auf den Punkt perfekt fritiert. Tzatziki dürfte aber gerne etwas mehr sein .

Der Service ist freundlich und nahezu kumpelhaft aber die Qualität hat auch rein gar nichts mit Griechenland zu tun. Abgesehen davon, dass sie versuchen, auch den deutschen Gaumen mit Schnitzel Bratwurst zu bedienen, können sie mit traditioneller Küche absolut nicht brillieren. Dafür ist der Preis für Speisen zu hoch. Auf jeden Fall vier Sterne für den netten Service trotz Stress aufgrund vieler Touristenbesucher (Konzert lanxess Arena)

Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und lecker. Dir Portionen sind groß, das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist gut.

Totale Enttäuschung! Zum ersten und letzten Mal dort gewesen. Pommes hatten was von frittierten Spülschwamm-Streifen und kein Gramm Salz dran. Die größte Enttäuschung war aber das Tzatziki. Schmeckte fad, ohne richtig Knoblauch, dafür waren Zwiebeln drin!!! Schlechtestes griechisches Essen, daß ich je gegessen habe.

Nous sommes aller le 17.12.22 pour manger une pitta nous avons eu à la place une assiette crudités avec 3 frites et avons eu la chance d avoir droit à un bain d huile + un poil ou un cheveux… sincèrement je suis rentré malade je pense qu’un service hygiène est le bienvenu… pour la propreté de l’établissement n’en parlons pas 🤮Bonne dégustation 😭

Essen war ungenießbar hatte Currywurst pommes mit zatziki es war so ekelhaft der Nachgeschmack von der Currywurst und dem zaziki kann man gar nicht beschreiben also keinem weiterzuempfehlen nie wieder

Laden auf den ersten Blick sauber,beim genauen hinsehen alles spinnengewebe. Hab eine Pizza Thunfisch bestellt und nachdem ersten Stück direkt liegen lassen.Noch nie so eine Pizza gegessen. Tiefgefrore Pizza wäre zu 1000%besser gewesen.Erst und letzte mal dieser laden. Abgesehen von der Bedienung die mehr wie unfreundlich war! Nicht empfehlenswert.... 0 Sterne, 1 ist schon zuviel!

Sehr netter Mittagspause, habe mich sehr wohl gefüllt

wie beim Griechen üblich viel Fleisch und eine üppige Beilage an Pommes. Beim Preis wurde 1€ aufgeschlagen obwohl es nicht auf der Speisekarte stand. Leider war das Fleisch sehr trocken und auch die Sauce hat es nicht einfacher zum essen gemacht.

War dort mit meiner Familie Essen. Erstmal der Preis ist unschlagbar günstig und lecker war es noch dazu. Gerne wieder dort,ein sehr guter Imbiss in Köln Deutz.

Ich hatte aufgrund der positiven Beurteilungen mehr erwartet. Leider kann ich aber kein positives Feadbaak geben. Ich hatte den Gyros-Teller mit Salat und Zaziki bestellt. Beim Salat wenn er den mediterran sein soll fehlte die Peperoni und Oliven. Die würden mir nachträglich, nachdem ich angemerkt hatte, drauf getan. Aber der Hammer war dass der Zaziki fehlte oder dort kennt man kein Zaziki. Dafür würde auf dem Teller ein große Portion von Knoblauch-Majo (Ajoli) drauf getan. Hallo geht's noch. Zaziki wird aus Knoblauch, Quark, Gurke, hergestellt.

Das Essen schmeckt nicht so und Nichts gute Services

Ich bestellte 3 x Gyros Pita mit Pommes telefonisch vor. Als ich 25-30 Minuten später ankam, war noch keine der drei Gyros Pita zubereitet. Der Laden war leer. Hier trennen sich die Meinungen, ob das gut oder schlecht ankommt. Jedenfalls bezahlte ich einen stolzen Preis von 5 Euro pro Pita. (15 Euro insgesamt) Das ist meiner Meinung nach, eine der teuersten Gyros Pitas Kölns. Die Portionsgröße ist okay, ebenso der Geschmack. Fazit: Okay aber teuer.

Über Lieferando bestellt. Restaurant storniert nach 1 Stunde. Absolut katastrophal der Laden. Kann man nur dringend von abraten. War früher wirklich mal gut. Aber seit Monaten nur noch schlimm. Essen hat auch nachgelassen. Bestellt lieber woanders.

Selten eine so unfreundliche Bedienung erlebt. Der Laden brauch sich nicht wundern wenn er fast durchgehend nur schlechte Bewertungen erhält.

We zijn hier puur toevallig terecht gekomen. De man achter de counter (eigenaar??) was super vriendelijk. We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Was dus een aangename verrassing.
