Ilayda in Berlin

We visited for the second time today. The food is delicious and inexpensive. The staff are also very friendly. It's worth going again.

The meat was tasteless, the durum bread very hard to chew. The kebab pizza was tasteless; it tasted like they just put slices of kebab on a frozen pizza.

I've been depressed since I came back to France, these are the best kebabs I've ever eaten in my life.

The chicken meat was already on the tray, and it was cold inside the doner bread. I had asked for it to be clean, but the person preparing it chopped up the meat, which had been sitting on the tray for quite a while, with a knife! It turned into mush. They probably did that to hide the burnt meat. The quality has been very poor since the new management. The staff is awful. The previous staff was very nice. I won't be eating there again. This place doesn't deserve a single star!

I got food poisoning after eating doner kebab.

December 15, 2025, around 5 PM. I received my takeaway doner kebab in completely burnt bread and threw it straight in the trash. Like an idiot, I even gave them a tip.

Oh man… I had to lower my rating from 5 stars to 1 when I received a completely moldy piece of meat in my bread (chicken schnitzel) and saw that the rest of the display was also completely covered in black mold. As soon as I tried to take a picture of the moldy remains in the display case, I was frantically sent out and the display case was suddenly replaced. Man, I used to love the doner kebab, but this is really disappointing.

Never had any problems here within the last couple of years. The beef döner was still tasty the last time I tried, but I ordered half a roast chicken a couple of months ago and it was definitely smelling bad. I just read in the Google reviews here that it happend to other people as well. I think this is dangerous and can't be stressed enough! I'm not saying this affects the whole menu, but trust is gone now. It's a shame, because otherwise always great value for money and friendly service. I hope they improve again.

Discovered through Wolt. The doner kebab was super delicious, delivered piping hot, very flavorful, and a huge portion. Fast delivery and a great price. I can highly recommend it. Until next time.

Great döner kebab and they're open relatively late. I've been going there for years and really enjoy it. But since it's their anniversary with special offers, I'll go somewhere else for now. Sorry, it's just too hectic and a bit unfriendly right now.

Ordered three times already, so good every time! My recommendation: pizza with doner meat. It's unusual. Really good, if you're reading this, order it.

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to make kebabs at Pizzabroz, even though they have them in stock and it used to be no problem.

Standard kebabs, which you can find on every corner in Prenzlauer Berg or Friedrichshain. Good, authentic kebabs can be found in other districts like Wedding or Kreuzberg.

I work in a lot of the same shops, and I'm also a frequent customer. The chicken I bought from your shop today was dry and falling apart. When I objected, the guy from Urfa next to you dismissed me by saying, "If you eat it, that's it; if you don't, that's your business." Treating a customer this way is both unbecoming of a shopkeeper and tarnishes the reputation you've built over the years. And the fact that he's using his boss as an excuse, saying, "The boss is angry," is the icing on the cake. I'm a customer; I'm not going to humiliate myself with my money. As both a shopkeeper and a barber next door to your shop, I find it unbecoming. I feel bad for you, because such behavior will damage your business.

This is our second time visiting, and this is an indicator!

Really good kebab with delicious meat. The menu includes a drink. Homemade ayran is available if you like. Service was friendly and quick. I would come again.

We ate there very often; the chicken with salad etc. was always delicious! Now there is new staff and it doesn't taste good at all! You can tell they're not in the mood! It's a shame! With Touran and his team it was always great! Made with love!!! Now they just slap the food on the plate!! Not good! Totally wrong and the food is bad too. The chicken from yesterday is simply disgusting! I've experienced this a few times now.

Very tasty kebab! The set menu with a drink is only €7.50, so it's very reasonable.

Always a quick stop for a chicken.

A stop after a long journey to get a kebab for dinner. You have to experience this. There's nothing comparable here in Westphalia for that price. And the friendly, welcoming service completes the experience. Deserved five stars, inch'allah.

Food poisoning after eating a doner kebab. I ate a doner kebab last night that actually tasted pretty good. I then got a terrible case of food poisoning. I can rule out that the problem is caused by other foods.

I can only recommend this place because the food is fantastic and the staff is great and the food is freshly prepared.

Döner without meat meant: the same 7€, but just the salad wrap. Not convinced.

The quality and, above all, the quantity decreased dramatically after the change of ownership. The portions of the Big Döner have shrunk to that of a normal one. Less salad, less meat, less sauce.

Spoiled grilled chicken! It's a shame, today was the last time in our regular snack bar after 12 or more years. Otherwise always great kebabs and delicious grilled chicken. Til today. Both of our halves smelled clearly of feces, a clear sign that the chicken had already spoiled before it was grilled. After I drove the mile back to complain about this, the owner, an older gentleman who was sometimes seen in the background, said the chicken was perfect! So he found the foul smell to be normal. No pity for the customers at all. And while I'm too old to be told something like that, I'm not old enough for my sense of smell to be impaired. He offered me some crispy grilled ones. But that wasn't the problem. They weren't raw, but rotten, which won't be tasty even if grilled for a long time. Maybe they were in the warm before. I found the reaction disappointing. If he had said sorry, a tenner back and we'll look into it, I would have been fine. Now my trust is gone. Mine is still in front of me as I write this and it smells even out of the closed package. By the way, there were completely new staff there, apart from him. The nice people before obviously stood for more quality.

After the change of staff (change of ownership?) the kebab got worse and worse. The sauces taste older and the preparation of the kebab is rather bland. Somehow everyone there is stressed, even if the store is empty. You are asked three times what you would like on it, as three people are busy with the kebab. No comparison to before! It's a shame, it was my favorite shop.

Got a wonderful kebab at 4am, we were the only customers there and they were so nice the service was great they let us sit down inside even though they’d tidied up for the night. 10/10

After a steady decline over the past few weeks, today I thought I had a salami pizza with ketchup? It's a shame. At first, I felt addicted to this delicious pizza, but now I can't go there anymore.

Unfortunately from the favorite kebab to something completely different :( Service was previously super personal and nice, special requests were no problem and good size. Now there seems to have been a change in ownership: the veggie mix and the Turkish pizza are unfortunately no longer up to the standard of before (little sauce, almost only topped with iceberg lettuce (hardly any cabbage or vegetables), fallafel is still slightly cold on the inside and there is no more hummus and cheese if you don't ask for it). Too bad. I would have liked to continue to be a regular guest!

A place for people who want to enjoy their meal quickly or in peace. There is also a smoking room for smokers!!! What also makes İlayda Kebabhaus indispensable for me is that they soon want to expand their range of vegan and vegetarian options on their menu. It's particularly worth taking a look at Ilayda Kebakhaus for vegetarians and vegans, as I also eat a mostly vegetarian and vegan diet.

Used to be my favorite kebab shop. I got a kebab there almost every Sunday. I have no idea whether the operator has changed - at least the staff has been different for a few weeks and unfortunately so has the kebab. The chicken kebab actually only had lettuce, potatoes and carrots in it. It's a real shame, I'm a little sad.

Hmmm. Has the owner changed? Doner kebab Friday evening - for the hollow tooth. Tried again at lunchtime during the week, a little better in terms of quantity. But prepared listlessly and in a bad mood. Meat on the bottom, salad on top. So eat one thing at a time.

Since I've been in Prenzl Berg, the kebab man of my choice. Crispy meat, cheese included in the price, delicious sauces and fresh salad. Nice gentlemen behind the counter, you can sit inside or outside and there are clean toilets in the back. Always happy to come back.

ZERO , The chicken and the salad STINKS , the chicken smells Bad . The tables were not clean, the floor was SUPER DIRTY , It’s THE WORST RESTAURANT i have ever been in. The staff was unprofessional, we talked to them about it , they did not take what we said seriously.

Had a dürüm with chicken, it was super tasty and a really big portion. When it comes to cheese, I would have preferred slices rather than grated ☺️

It's been a really tasty kebab for the past few years - but recently it's been very disappointing! Strange salad selection (e.g. radishes in the leaf lettuce, hot sauce tastes like ketchup, no more hummus and feta on the kebab as was always the case at Ilayda... It's a shame, but it almost seems like there's been a 180 degree turn...

I personally don't like it at all (anymore). Both the salad selection and the meat (quality) have deteriorated significantly. I can't understand the good reviews.

Chicken kebab plate for €10 was great and very friendly

As a passionate kebab lover and tester of Berlin's kebab landscape, I have already explored around 50 shops. Today my path took me to *Ilayda*, a shop that far exceeded my expectations. The meat was excellently prepared, with a tender texture and flavorful flavor. The homemade bread gave every bite a freshness that is rarely found, and overall it was a taste experience that was simply impressive. *Ilayda* is now a favorite for me and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The food was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately we couldn't take any more photos because we were too hungry. Price performance was great and the service was very friendly. Gladly again Only cash payment possible

i was over there last nigtt and i have orderd vegeaterian food and he give us beef food .and his colleage nature was worst with us .

Very awful food, very rude staff, my friends were there and asked for vegetarian food and the was very rude and had attitude towards them and was threatening to call police just for asking them politely for a veg döner. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I would rather prefer starving than eating here

Then we write July 2024🌞, döner im brot is still the best in town, and worth traveling for, even if we live at the other end of town. Homemade bread cool berliners 🍺 kindl and with prices that impress. 👍

Manchmal überkommt mich der Wunsch, einen deftigen Döner zu essen. Doch meistens wird mir danach etwas übel, und es fühlt sich an, als hätte ich aus einer Triebhaftigkeit heraus etwas Schmutziges getan, das mich im Nachhinein anwidert. Genauso war es bei diesem Döner. Wie so oft gab es keine Tomaten einzeln, sondern nur mit Gurken zusammen geschnitten, also nahm ich nur Fleisch und Eisbergsalat. Nur ein Hauch von einer der drei Standard-Metro-Saucen, die hauptsächlich nach Mayo schmecken – was ist eigentlich aus den guten Joghurt-Saucen geworden? Und wenn der große Hunger, dieser Trieb, der einen zum Dönerstand getrieben hat, gestillt ist, bleibt nur noch ein fetttriefender Halbmond aus Fladenbrot, der die Hand vollschmiert. Einmal aufstoßen, im Wissen, dass dieser knoblauch-würzige Geschmack einen den restlichen Tag begleiten wird.

I would give a lot for shahi kebab in Piaseczno to taste like this at 2 a.m. 👌

Super nice service! I had the vegan kebab with vegetarian sauces and cheese. Really well-filled kebab, crispy bread, delicious sauces. The meat alternative made from soy, pea and seitan protein is spicy and complements the kebab well.

I like this snack a lot. Most of the time I eat a pizza or a pide, which is atypical for a kebab shop. These are good and cheap. There is also organic olive oil on every table and the people are very friendly and sometimes add a little extra. So a strong recommendation for me.

I love the kebab there! Just like I know. You have the choice between chicken or veal. Three sauces.. Dürüm.. normal.. no frills. Just a classic. Flatbread, not kebab bread pockets, there is also delicious fresh homemade Turkish pizza, pide or pizza bread. The salads are always fresh! It is a classic good Turkish snack of the higher level associated with traditional cuisine. A wide selection of drinks and seating inside and outside. I walk past 3 other kebab shops. For me, the best in the neighborhood

Great value and super fresh Berlin döner. Shame they don't use their own pizza bread they sell individually as their base for their döner as I am sure it would be super tasty and make their product a bit different than everyone else. Range of doner, pizza and rotisserie chicken.

For me the best kebab in Berlin! I live near here and buy kebab here every week for my wife and I. I often buy kebab in other neighborhoods when I'm out and about. ;-) Everything is just right here. Price: At €6 for a kebab we are in the lowest segment here. Portions are always very generous. Especially the meat content. Taste: Always fresh and varied selection of vegetables, delicious sauces and cheese at no extra cost. Service: If you have to wait a long time, you can occasionally get a pizza roll or tea on the house. I've never experienced anything like this from a kebab shop. Of course it could be because I'm a regular customer. The employees are always friendly and quick. By the way, grilled chicken tastes great here too!

Yeah! Super tasty kebab, right mix of meat and salad and well cooked piadina, heated properly (not left half raw as often happens elsewhere) Average prices: €7 per piadina. It has both Döner and Chicken kebabs, they also do other food like pizza, roast chickens and other Turkish dishes. There are tables both inside and outside. The only flaw: there were no grilled vegetables and potatoes in the piadina, as is common here in Berlin. But super recommended! If you're in the area, make a stop

Very bad, ate there once and nothing else that day. Had diarrhea for 3 days and was vomiting every 2 hours. The health department has been informed!!

I've been eating there or taking something to go for many years. Preferably a kebab or half a grilled chicken with salad. It tastes delicious. Great friendly service. Recommended as a snack in between...

Doner and falafel plates are very good

As the book says, I'll say mualla!!! Incredibly delicious kebab in a bun for only 6 euros, mixed meat, lots of salads, two types of meat and delicious sauces, and cheese sprinkles for which you have to pay extra everywhere, but here it's included in the price. Additionally, super friendly service and, of course, lots of other food. My rating is an A for 6 euros for delicious large portions of food. 🥙🌯🍕🍟🧆
