Il Tartufo in Mannheim

Wir waren mit 8 Personen im Il Tartufo essen und leider war der Abend eine große Enttäuschung. Unser Tisch war für 17:30 Uhr reserviert. Bestellen konnten wir jedoch erst gegen 18:00 Uhr. Um 18:35 Uhr gab es einen Gruß aus der Küche, der geschmacklich wirklich gelungen war. Die Vorspeise kam dann erst um 18:40 Uhr und das Hauptgericht ließ bis 19:55 Uhr auf sich warten – eine Wartezeit, die einfach viel zu lang ist. Ich hatte mich sehr auf die Spaghetti Carbonara mit Trüffel gefreut. Leider war das Gericht enttäuschend: Die Carbonara war zu wässrig, geschmacklich dominierte fast ausschließlich das Fleisch und vom Trüffel war praktisch nichts zu schmecken. Dafür 10 € Aufpreis im Vergleich zur normalen Carbonara zu verlangen, finde ich absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Besonders irritierend war außerdem, dass eine Person Spaghetti und ich Rigatoni bestellen wollte. Die Servicekraft bat uns, doch bitte dieselbe Nudelsorte zu wählen, damit nicht zwei Pfannen benutzt werden müssten. So etwas habe ich in einem Restaurant noch nie erlebt. Soll man sich künftig mit den anderen Gästen abstimmen, welche Nudelsorte bestellt wird? Auch der Service insgesamt wirkte leider wenig herzlich. Am Ende wollten wir einfach nur noch gehen – unter anderem, weil es im Restaurant sehr warm war. Allerdings kam niemand, um die Rechnung zu bringen. Wir mussten schließlich selbst aufstehen und nachfragen. Beim Bezahlen wurde uns dann mitgeteilt, dass Kartenzahlung erst ab 70 € möglich sei. Bis wir schließlich bezahlen konnten und die Quittung fertig war, vergingen erneut etwa 15 Minuten. Der einzige Stern geht an den Gruß aus der Küche bzw. die Vorspeise, denn diese war geschmacklich wirklich gut. Der restliche Abend war leider von langen Wartezeiten, enttäuschendem Essen und einem wenig aufmerksamen Service geprägt. Für uns leider keine Empfehlung. _______________________________________ Nachtrag aufgrund der Antwort des Inhabers: Vielen Dank für Ihre Rückmeldung. Schade finde ich, dass uns aufgrund einer kritischen Bewertung direkt unterstellt wird, wir hätten keinen Geschmack oder keine Esskultur. Kritik an einem Restaurant bedeutet nicht automatisch, dass man gutes Essen nicht zu schätzen weiß. Unsere Bewertung beruhte ausschließlich auf unseren persönlichen Erfahrungen an diesem Abend. Nach einer Wartezeit von etwa 2,5 Stunden ist es zudem verständlich, dass man irgendwann Hunger hat – das hat nichts mit dem Wunsch nach “Massenküche” oder Fast Food zu tun. Ich finde es schade, dass auf sachliche Kritik mit persönlichen Unterstellungen reagiert wird. Ein respektvoller Umgang mit unterschiedlichen Meinungen hinterlässt am Ende einen deutlich besseren Eindruck als solche Antworten.

Das Essen ist fantastisch. Als kleine Aufmerksamkeit der Küche haben wir zunächst einen kleinen Gemüsetaler erhalten, der sehr schön angerichtet war. Die Trüffelpizza mit Burrata war extrem lecker und es wurde nicht am Trüffel gespart! Der frisch auf die Pizza gerieben wurde. Daher finde ich den Preis, auch wenn er auf den ersten Blick zu hoch erscheint, gerechtfertig. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es leider für die Location. Das Essen, sowohl die Zutaten also auch die Präsentation, erinnert beinahe an ein gehobenes Restaurant. Die Gestaltung des Lokals kann da jedoch nicht ganz mithalten. Es wirkt eher unscheinbar und erinnert an ein typisches Wirtshaus, was dem herausragenden Essen nicht gerecht wird. Auf jeden Fall ausprobieren.

Wir waren schon öfters hier, immer sehr lecker und von top Qualität. Der Mittagstisch ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Ein Schlemmerblock Geheimtipp :)

Wirklich leckeres Essen und sehr große Portionen, wir waren heute zum ersten Mal da und können das Restaurant nur empfehlen. Wir waren mit dem Schlemmerblock im Restaurant Il Tartufo essen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und unsere Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen. Die Hauptspeisen sowie die Desserts haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Leider gab es auch einen negativen Punkt: Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war lang. Trotzdem war der Besuch insgesamt angenehm und das Essen sehr lecker. Danke!

Waren das erste mal dort und es war eine Riesenenttäuschung! Die Bedienung war zwar freundlich aber nicht gerade sympathisch. Nach etwas Wartezeit kamen unsere beiden Steaks. Beide waren fast kalt. Nach Reklamation behauptete die Dame, dass das Essen direkt von der Pfanne auf den Tisch gekommen sei. Darauf beharrte sie, obwohl das ja unmöglich sein konnte. Nachdem aus der Küche die Nachricht kam, dass das Essen nicht aufgewärmt werde, sollten wir etwas neues bestellen, was aber mindestens 40 Minuten dauern sollte. Wir haben uns dann dankend verabschiedet.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal hier. Wir wollten die italienische Küche und die Tartufo-Spezialitäten probieren, von denen wir online gelesen hatten. Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert, aber es war noch einer frei. Das Gericht, das wir uns ausgesucht hatten, war um 20:00 Uhr bereits ausverkauft, also mussten wir etwas anderes nehmen. Unser sechsjähriger Sohn war dabei und bestellte Pizza. Wir warteten bis halb zehn auf das Essen, das wir dann aber nicht bekamen. Plötzlich hörten wir ein lautes Klappern. Wir vermuten, dass der Kellner das Essen in der Küche fallen gelassen hat. Kurz darauf kam die Kellnerin und sagte, dass sie das Essen nicht servieren könnten, weil die Küche nicht funktioniere, das Gas sei ausgefallen 😵‍💫😆. Mein kleiner Junge brach in Tränen aus. Er hatte anderthalb Stunden auf eine Pizza gewartet, die in zehn Minuten fertig sein sollte, und am Ende bekam er sie nicht. Wir hätten das Getränk für meinen Sohn nicht bezahlen müssen, taten es aber trotzdem. Nach zwei Stunden standen wir hungrig auf und gingen. Vielen Dank für Ihre Gastfreundschaft, ich würde Sie NIEMANDEM weiterempfehlen!

Wir haben vor Kurzem das Il Tartufo besucht und die Pizza sehr genossen. Sie war hervorragend zubereitet, hatte eine tolle Konsistenz und schmeckte insgesamt sehr gut. Die Pasta war eher mild und wirkte traditioneller. Alles in allem war es ein angenehmes Erlebnis.

Ganz toller Service mit einem Gruß aus der Küche vorweg und frisch gebackener Focaccia. Die Trüffelpasta war Weltklasse , normale Portion zum satt werden. Klare Empfehlung. Parksituation schwierig.

Ein absolut fantastischer Trüffelspezialist. Im Winter sollte man unbedingt dorthin fahren, um weiße Trüffel zu finden, die in Deutschland selten erhältlich sind.

Der beste Italiener in Mannheim! Authentische italienische Küche und immer besondere Trüffel. Gerade haben wir den weißen aus Alba probiert - köstlich. Aussergewöhnlich ist auch das "Filet Rossini" mit bester foir gras. Der zuvorkommende Service und die familiäre Atmosphäre lebt la dolce Vita mitten in Mannem. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Für uns das beste italienische Restaurant in Mannheim. Sehr sehr gute Pasta und Pizza. Leckere Weine. Wer Trüffel mag, kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service. Immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren unter Woche mittags dort. Ambiente angenehmen, Service ok. Salat lecker, Hauptspeise grosse Portion, aber leider geschmacklich eher durchschnittlich. Kaum gewürzt und eher hingeklatscht. Da konnte der nette Gruss aus der Küche auch nichts verbessern. Salattomaten waren fast weiss, also eher nicht hochwertig...Leider keine Empfehlung!

We simply wanted to grab a bite to eat in the evening, without a reservation, on our way from the Palatinate to Swabia. And then: a very friendly welcome. Very attentive service. A very appealing menu. Very delicious dishes (we had Venetian calf's liver and pasta with porcini mushrooms) at reasonable prices. And the whole ambiance – like being in Italy. Mille grazie!

It doesn't get any better than this. Authentic Italian cuisine. Everything is cooked with love and passion. Thank you for the wonderful food. We'll be back. 🥰

An absolute disaster! I've truly never experienced anything like it. The carbonara was a disgrace – the bacon tasted like it had been bathed in old frying oil, and the sauce was simply overcooked and tasteless. This had nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The soup was also inedible – watery, bland, and simply disgusting. For an "Italian restaurant," a total disappointment. Never again!

I celebrated my birthday at the restaurant and I couldn't have chosen a better place! Excellent quality food, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and a truly lovely family who makes you feel at home. Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere to the attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Wonderful risotto with truffle, super friendly staff, we would love to come back

I celebrated a birthday party at this restaurant, eating a truffle risotto and ribs. They were amazing and I really recommend this restaurant.

There are places you experience with your palate even before your eyes. "Il Tartufo" is more than just a restaurant: it's a journey into the heart of taste, where every dish is a caress and every bite a poem scented with earth and magic. Wonderful family, super hospitality, exceptional food.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and the restaurant manager was incredibly welcoming. He even treated me to a shower of black truffles, which are famous here. The tiramisu was also incredibly authentic. The restaurant manager's family is Italian, making it a truly authentic Italian restaurant.

The pizzas al tartufo, in particular, are simply heavenly – crispy crusts, the finest cheese, and that incomparable truffle aroma that fills the entire room. The wine selection is also excellent and perfectly rounds off the experience. In short: Il Tartufo is not just a restaurant, but a place where you fall in love with Italian cuisine. This was the best restaurant I've tried in Mannheim, an Italian family business. The chef is truly passionate about food and truffles, and the entire staff was very welcoming and accomodating. Very good prices as well! Will come again.

This was our first time at Il Tartufo and we were absolutely thrilled. Attentive service, fantastic food, and all in a rustic yet chic setting. The value for money is simply spot on. If you like truffles, you'll definitely get your money's worth here, but there are also plenty of alternatives to choose from. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the great evening!

Incredible dinner, we had a Parmigiana di melanzane, two pastas and a tiramisu. Paid less than 80 eur (between 2) for an amazing dinner. Unfortunately i didnt take pictures of the pasta, but the carbonara was from another world!! Amazing!! Super nice enviroment and service😊😊

We ordered two pizzas. One of them had a lot of hair on it... see pictures. We contacted the lady. She was very rude and refused to refund us, only wanting to send us a new pizza. Unfortunately, we lost our appetite. Very poor customer service.

Simply the best Italian restaurant in Mannheim. A wonderful selection with fantastic, creative, and always unusual daily specials. Lovingly and picturesquely presented, and the taste is second to none 👌 A must for truffle fans, but even those who don't like or need truffles are sure to find something to their liking!! The chef and his wife are so welcoming that you feel truly appreciated.

I visited Tartufo for the first time today and had the lunch menu. Starter: cream of mushrooms with truffles. Main course: parpardelle with a delicate butter sauce, also with truffles. Dessert: a small ice cream. Everything tasted very, very good. And the price: €9.99 is unbeatable.

The food is truly excellent and highly recommended, but unfortunately, the ambiance doesn't match the quality of the food and the high prices. We would love for this restaurant to continue to thrive, but currently we have the impression that it's declining. The interior is dated, the outdoor area is unfortunately very poorly designed, and the service is very slow. Initially, there was a larger selection – now the menu is much smaller. Additionally, there used to be a welcome drink from the kitchen, but on our last visit, there was only bread…

Wir fangen gleich mal an mit dem Lokal. Alleine der Name lässt eigentlich viel hoffen, aber leider ist dem nicht so. In dem Lokal ist es kalt und überhaupt nicht einladend von der Optik. Ich hatte ein Rindertatar mit Trüffeln und das war mit Abstand das schlechteste was ich je gegessen habe. Das Tatar selbst hatte die Konsistenz von einer feinen Leberwurst, was absolut schrecklich war. Dann außen herum lauter größere Pestotupfen oder ähnliches, was überhaupt nicht zu einem Tatar gehört und auch nicht passt. Die Pasta war in Ordnung und hatte eine gute Portion. Dann hatten wir noch das klassische Bruschetta. Auch hier ein blasses, leicht getoastete Baguette, die Tomaten waren eigentlich gar nicht angemacht also ohne Basilikum oder ähnliches und darauf wurden einfach große Rucolablätter gelegt und große Scheiben an Parmesan. Sobald man ist das Bruschetta dann versucht hat rein zu beißen ist natürlich der Rucuola (was meines Erachtens nichts auf einem Bruschetta zu suchen hat) und die großen Platten an Parmesan erst mal runter gefallen. Wenn schon Parmesan, dann gehört dieser darauf gehobelt. Der Name wird dem Lokal leider überhaupt nicht gerecht und die Preise sind total überzogen.

We were there for lunch. Two dishes to choose from, including salad, main course, and a small dessert, all for €9.90! The salad was incredibly fresh and delicious! The dressing was homemade! The bread was incredibly tasty and still nice and warm. The pasta was amazing and the sauce was fantastic! The service was attentive and friendly! The other dishes on the menu sound good too! We'd love to come back!

If you're looking for great food with great service, I highly recommend this restaurant! The drinks and food are of the highest quality. Truly a mini-vacation in Italy! The service is very friendly and attentive, and the work is highly professional. You can see that there are still restaurants with heart here. My wife and I will definitely be back!

This has been my favorite Italian restaurant since today! Here, small but perfectly formed is what counts! The food, including various desserts, was a dream for all of us, both in terms of taste and appearance! The drinks were wonderfully delicious, and the service was unobtrusive, friendly, and personable. We were well looked after and had a long and delicious evening for a good price. We'll definitely be back!

Young chef who wants to show his best. Unfortunately, this all takes far too long. Ordered a starter and a main course. The main course came before the starter. We waited an hour for the main course to arrive. Unfortunately the price performance is not right here. Unfortunately, the service is not quite as attentive as it should be. Reedit: The owner responded to my comment. Firstly, I am a Bella and not a Bello. Secondly, this is not how you handle criticism. But constructive. Then your staff didn't tell him that we got the main course before the starter. And no, if the restaurant is almost empty, I don't wait an hour for a starter or a meal 🙂 I've already tested a few restaurants and the difference is that in really well-organized restaurants, everything from service to kitchen really works. When there's a lot going on, I'm the last person to say something if it takes longer. If there are two other tables besides me. Nobody wants you harm here, but honest recessions should be taken seriously.

Very nice little Italian restaurant with very good food.

The food tasted good. However, the ravioli were only lukewarm. The additional toppings on the pizza should cost 2 euros. Unfortunately, I was charged 3-3.50 euros each for shrimp, calamari and anchovies. When asked, the boss came out of the kitchen and tried to explain in a not entirely friendly way and then abruptly ended the conversation. We were also brought the wrong drink, which was then exchanged. Unfortunately the drink was then charged twice. It can happen! True ! Said to be the “best cuisine in the region”.

Absolutely! Here is a positive review with The food was simply amazing! Finally no run-of-the-mill pizza or pasta, but really delicious Pugliese home cooking. The portions were generous and the prices were fair. The wine was also delicious. If you want to try really authentic Italian cuisine, this is the right place for you. I can highly recommend the place and will definitely come back!

The ambience is nothing special but the food and the friendliness of the staff make that completely unimportant. We were more than impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the sophistication of the dishes and we can definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Update: we were planning on eating there this week. There is no response to calls, so we made reservations via the homepage. There was no confirmation. This is weak, we will refrain from future visits. ---------------- If you look through the menu, you could talk about an ambitious Italian. The “whole” is sobering on site, a normal restaurant. A well-known pop singer was singing in the background, unfortunately the name didn't mean anything to me when the two sisters announced the star singer. I ordered Paccherie Carbonara. The noodles are known in Germany as salt-eaters (they need 3x as much salt as normal spaghetti), but the young chef did a good job. The pasta had a great bite, but I missed the crunch and the creaminess. I also had to add more salt, but with caution, but I still remember the excellent bacon fried in the pan. As a greeting from the kitchen there was a vegetable minestrone with unfortunately overcooked vegetables, but overall it was okay. But we will definitely come back.

A culinary delight with a lot of passion and empathy. Always my pleasure.

Wenn man schon am Eingang ein großes Schild mit der Aufschrift liest "Nur Barzahlung", wird man nachdenklich. Hier wird also rigoros gespart (oder Schlimmeres). Und das, obwohl, wie der Name nahelegt, teure Trüffelgerichte im Angebot sind. Als zweites fällt auf, dass nicht der geringste Trüffelduft in der Luft liegt. Erst als eine Bruschetta mit Trüffeln vorbeigetragen wird, erhascht man einen vagen Eindruck des seltenen Pilzes. Aber da muss man schon eine sehr gute Nase haben. Wir haben dasselbe bestellt, und fanden es gar nicht schlecht. Dafür, dass es 16 Euro kostet (fünf Scheibchen Brot), lagen aber dann doch sehr wenige Trüffelspäne drauf. Doch was ist die schwarze Masse darunter? Kaum herauszuschmecken. Wenn man die Bedienung etwas fragt, muss sie erst selbst in der Küche nachfragen. Sie hat offenbar keine Ahnung, was sie ihren Gästen serviert. Wir erfahren: Trüffelkaviar. Eine molekularbiologische Zubereitung (Hightech) mit Trüffelessenz (künstlich und mit anderen Zutaten). Ich hätte eher auf Olivenpaste oder Zwiebel oder Algen getippt. Ein Trüffelgeschmack war jedenfalls nicht auszumachen. Überhaupt der Trüffel: Er ist fest und dunkel, nach Angaben der Bedienung 'echt italienisch', ein Tuber Melanosporum also. Doch unser Trüffel hat anstatt einer Marmorierung sehr weiße Punkte, die sich über das ganze Innere verteilen. Also doch nicht echt italienisch? Oder nur zu lange und/oder falsch gelagert? Der stechende Ammoniakgeruch, der vom Trüffel ausgeht, legt eine Überlagerung nahe. Schließlich ist so ein Pilz nicht billig und muss halten. Doch ein alter Trüffel ist kein geschmackliches Vergnügen und kann sogar gesundheitsschädlich sein. Nächster Test: die Pizza (29 Euro !). Der Teig ist ganz ok. Der Belag besteht, außer Tomaten und Käse, aus italienischer Salsiccia und natürlich Trüffel, diesmal reichlich. Eine klassische Fenchelsalsiccia, die allerding zum einem Trüffel wie die Faust aufs Auge passt. Wer kommt denn auf eine solche Idee? Fazit: Mit echtem Trüffel auf die Schnelle Geld machen, ist gar nicht so leicht, wie man denkt. Der Trüffel ist nicht nur teuer, man muss damit auch umgehen können. Diese Küche ist damit offenbar hoffnungslos überfordert. Gerichte und Preise passen auch gar nicht zum Ambiente einer solchen einfachen Pizzeria. Die Einrichtung ist karg (einfache Holztische). Es ist zugig und laut. Kinder toben herum, junge Frauen lachen und kreischen. Eigentlich eine einfache Familienpizzeria. Durchaus sympathisch. Ändert doch Euren Namen und lasst die Trüffel weg. Oder serviert den Tartufo, die 'echt italienische' Nachspeise mit schwarzer oder weißer Schokolade. Ich kann dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen, zumindest nicht, wenn man Trüffel essen will. Wonderful food and outstanding service!

We came here very spontaneously for lunch! The service was very friendly and the lunch menu that was offered to us (we were quite late) was excellent! The salad was well dressed. The pasta with salsicce was excellently tossed in butter, herbs and parmesan. Dessert was an almond parfait You can hardly do it better. We will definitely come again.

Delicious restaurant with an amazing authentic atmosphere run by a sweet couple, amazing chef and a first class service. I was there in a group from work and with close friends for dinner - it was always a pleasure. Fresh food, typical dishes and specials by season. I’m looking forward to eat here again next time I’m in Mannheim. Vegetarian options. Recommend to make a reservation.

The food was very tasty but far too little and I waited forever. quite expensive for the quantity.

I was there for the second time. I was disappointed the first time because I had to wait forever for the food. Even though my parents and I were the only ones in the restaurant. So I wanted to give it another chance. I have to say that I had to wait forever for the food again. Although there was hardly any activity. We ordered two noodle dishes. My portion was terribly small. This could possibly pass as a children's portion. My partner's wasn't much bigger either. I also had to pay an additional €3 for handmade noodles. I was told ok. But then I also expect a larger portion. Well, conclusion: we won't go there anymore. We politely told the waitress our opinion. But I don't think anyone was interested.

Thank you very much for yesterday's entertaining truffle evening with delicious food, beautiful singing, good wines and very friendly service. We were extremely satisfied and would love to come back.

It takes a lot for me to give a bad rating in "my" district. Been there 3 times - 3 times a disaster. One star for the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant and the clueless waitresses is way too high a rating, but less is not possible here. There isn't enough space here to describe everything. NO MORE!

A real culinary win for Neckarau!!! No matter whether it's an event with a multi-course menu or 'just' dinner: I've been there four times and loved it four times. Be sure to keep it up!!! Addendum: Our house guest likes Italian food - so it was clear that our favorite restaurant, Tartufo, would be the destination! But I was a little tense, because the guest is a chef himself and not without demands... What can I say? He was enthusiastic about every course and would come here again at any time!!! For those interested: there was carpaccio, melanzane, grilled pulpo (spicy!) and one of the great pizzas.

Freundliche telefonische Reservierung, herzlicher Empfang, leicht zugiger Tisch in Eingangsnaehe. Vorweg unspektakulaerer Beilagensalat mit Fertigdressing und zweimal Pizza.- auf die mussten wir sage und schreibe eine Stunde und fuenfundvierzig Minuten warten. Die Pizza selbst war ok, aber keineswegs der Zubereitungszeit angemessen. Wiederholungsfaktor eher gegen 0-schade!

We ordered 3 meals today. Among other things, 1 Scallopine Gorgonzola. To put it simply, this was a disaster... The food was smaller than some starters in other restaurants. The supplement was absolutely not sufficient. The food was quite cold and tasted rather neutral… When I asked, I was told that these were the restaurant's normal portions. If that's the case, I won't eat here again. What a shame!
