An Italian restaurant as you would imagine with typical dishes, especially a large selection of pizzas and pasta dishes. When the weather is nice, it's nice to sit outside on a traffic-calmed street.

We are on vacation in Horumersiel several times a year and are absolutely thrilled with this great restaurant. No matter what dish, it's a dream. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They are also very child-friendly. We are always happy when we can eat there. You're great, keep it up and special praise to the fantastic chef.

Good food except for the salad in every variation. It just consists of leaf lettuce and is pretty bland. The homemade yogurt sauce is cakey and pink and definitely not homemade. The cucumber salad consists only of draped cucumber slices with pink sauce and balsamic vinegar. You should really think about that. Otherwise good food and friendly service.

In combination with the terrace filled with Nordic fresh air and the taste experience comparable to a symphony orchestra, dining in the above-mentioned fine restaurant is memorable for everyone. Gladly again.

Even though we hadn't reserved we got a table on the terrace. Our pizzas were very tasty, and the prices for food and drinks were not overpriced either. We particularly liked the young waiter, who came to ask us several times whether we were satisfied. There was still a bill for everyone a marsala. We can't say what the other dishes are like, but they looked delicious. There is a parking lot nearby.

The food here is top 10/10, the staff are very polite and nice. I really enjoy coming here to eat with the family.

I can neither understand nor confirm the good reviews. The pizza was the worst I've ever eaten and I like to eat pizza often. In my opinion the dough was not homemade but a convenience product!

We finally wanted to visit the restaurant that was praised above all else. We had pre-booked a table, unfortunately no one was free, so we had to wait... The staff was nice but quite stressed. But the food wasn't that good. The bruschetta was burnt and the pizza was done the corn broth was watery... there should still be hope for improvement...

Wirklich schönes Restaurant in guter Lage. Es ist trotzdem recht viel los, da viele Leute am Deich spazieren gehen oder ihr Essen abholen und dann auf dem Weg/auf den Treppen vom Deich warten. Die Atmosphäre ist locker und "kontaktig". Wir hatten eine Pizza und eine Lasagne, dazu Getränke. Der Service war super freundlich und persönlich. Das Restaurant hatte vor einiger Zeit einen Wechsel im Besitzer, wir sind nach wie vor super zufrieden mit allem und der neue Besitzer Credo sowie die anderen Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Im Nachgang gab es einen Schnaps aufs Haus. Preislich ok - durch die touristische Gegend zahlt man da in jedem Restaurant etwas mehr. Wir haben ca. 41€ für zwei ausreichend große Mahlzeiten und drei (oder vier?) Getränke gezahlt.

We had a small pizza funghi with extra rocket and spaghetti arabiata. Both tasted very good. However, the pizza was a bit too long and had very dark brown spots. For dessert, crema catalana and panna cotta with strawberry sauce. Both are delicious, but just not enough for the price. Service was great, everyone was super friendly! The look of the terrace could still be improved. But ambience was ok.

That could certainly be changed😉 In addition, you first wish the guest a “good evening” and don’t say directly: “Do you want something to drink?” Just a little note for the management😉 Otherwise everything was great and as I said, very tasty👌🏻

We are there often. Everything actually always fits. A few days ago I unfortunately didn't get a table, which made me a bit annoyed for a moment, but then I realized it was the weekend and you have to live with that. Pizza is good, tiramisu is always freshly homemade (be sure to try it) and always friendly, even with children

The food was ok. If you order the signposted pizza with salad as a side dish, you get a mini pizza. I would have liked to have known that beforehand. The salad consisted mainly of iceberg lettuce and 2 slices of cucumber.

This pizzeria has gone downhill tremendously. We have been regular customers for years and have always been satisfied. This time the pizza was very small and thin, as was the gyro pizza...to be honest, not even a child could get enough of it. The operator is said to have changed. Even if the staff and the ambience are good, we will now look for another pizzeria in Horumersiel

The last evening we didn't know where we could go out to eat. All the restaurants were full and fully booked. After a short phone call, we were able to get a table at Il Gabbiano in 20 minutes in the evening. As always, the food was very tasty and fresh. The service was also very great. We have been served here by Frank for twenty-five years. Our children grew up during that time. We felt comfortable at Il Gabbiano the whole time and were well looked after in all the different situations. The restaurant was sold in January 2018 and I would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank Frank and his changing team. The new owner has changed very little and, if I'm not mistaken, even adopted the menu. It still tastes different than before. It doesn't even taste worse, but it tastes different. The operation is fast but still a bit bumpy. I think this is still shaking up. Il Gabbiano will certainly continue to be one of our regular restaurants under new management.

Guter ehrlicher Italiener in Hafennähe mit Aussenbestuhlung. Wir waren wiederholt hier und das Essen, sowohl die Pizza als auch die Nudelgerichte und Salate waren durchweg gut bei einem für einen Ferienort moderatem Preisniveau.

Actually not worth a star at all. Pizzas thin, not cooked through, soggy, the edge sticky. The pasta has more ham and sauce than pasta and charge so much money for it? Unfortunately, an absolute failure. But service was nice.

Spent a lovely day on the coast with the family. Had lunch at an Italian restaurant. The selection is large and extensive. The prices are adjusted to the current situation! It's not good, but we still enjoyed it. When we are there again, we will go again!

The Romantica salad was delicious, but the portion was too small and the price was too expensive at around 13 euros. The Pizza America was also delicious. For the additional topping (gyros) an extra 4.50 euros was charged. The employees were nice. Unfortunately there was no take away menu. The menus (photos on Google) are old and the prices are not right.

Great Italian, we ate there twice in 4 days. We also know him from our last vacation. They also helped us with our wine problem and sold us a bottle for the vacation rental. Great location, unfortunately a little hidden but worth a visit.

Consistently fantastic! My husband and I are in Wangerland over New Year's Eve and spontaneously had dinner here yesterday. We each had a pizza that tasted just great! For dessert we shared a tiramisu, which was also completely eaten because it simply melted in your mouth! When paying, we asked directly whether we could spontaneously get a table for New Year's Eve. Luckily for us, this wasn't a problem! Because today the food was simply excellent again! As a starter we had the bruschetta, which was a real treat, then we had tortellini al forno with additional garlic, which really blew us away. We have rarely eaten something so delicious! The service is also completely fabulous! Kind and courteous! The atmosphere could hardly be more cozy! We will be back definitely!

Schöne Pizzeria. Großer Biergarten. Wir mussten trotz Reservierung noch 15 Minuten warten bis der Tisch fertig war. Ansonsten war der Service nett und sehr um uns bemüht. Pizza gut aber für die Preisklasse wenig belegt. Leider sind die Messer nicht geeignet um eine Pizza leicht zu schneiden
