Il Castello in Plattling

Came across this restaurant with the voucher book. Super nice service, food was delicious and the portion sizes were great. Everything fresh. We'll definitely be back 😊

The food is very tasty and high quality, the atmosphere and furnishings there are nice, the staff is very friendly. We really enjoy eating here when we're in town.

We got our pizza from il Castello for the first time. The boss was very friendly and child-oriented, personally took our order with any individual requests for changes and announced that we could take the food away in 15 minutes, even though the restaurant was very busy. Everything worked out great. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. We haven't eaten pizza that tastes this good in a long time. We'll be back at Il Castello - Ciao Absolute recommendation!

While passing through Plattling today we ordered two pizzas at Il Castello based on the many positive reviews and were not disappointed. On the contrary! The pizzas were excellent! Both pizzas were generous and topped with very good ingredients, and our special requests were also fulfilled (at no extra charge!!). Even though we arrived a little late to pick it up, the pizzas were kept warm and were still hot when eaten. The service is excellent, the boss is very nice. When we're in the area again, we'll order our pizza from Il Castello again!

Very good pizzas, pasta also tastes very good. You could work on the salad, it's bland and unseasoned (although you add vinegar, oil and salt and pepper). Service is very attentive. Unfortunately you can't sit outside very nicely because it is very loud (right next to the street). It is more comfortable in the small room, but the large hall is only suitable for events.... In a small setting (we had it for a Christmas party with 8 people) it is very cool and uncomfortable. You can now give the service 5 points again because they are very attentive and that "distant" waiter is gone.

Service is quick and nice, I give the ambience one star less because the outdoor area is right next to the main street. However, it is nicely demarcated with trees as a privacy screen.

Delicious, wafer-thin pizzas with lots of toppings. Service super nice. Prices top. The only drawback is that the outside area is unpleasantly loud due to the street.

Right on the street but you always have something to look at. It was clean, the food was tasty, I just found the prices a bit expensive, especially for kids, but we were satisfied, everyone was nice and accommodating and the food was fresh. We would eat there again.

Unfortunately, Italian is only the name here, not the cuisine. The service is attentive and friendly, but the food is anything but Italian and authentic... Pizza comes out of the mold and tastes like pretzel dough, like in the pizzahut, the shop, but is still well attended because Lower Bavarians just like things cheap and here it can be cheap as opposed to good...

This was our second time there in a short time. Both times we were impressed by the extremely friendly service and the excellent food. For us the calamari are the best far and wide. The pasta dish with shrimp was also very tasty.

Nice restaurant. Service could be a little friendlier. Food was very good, served a little too hot, but quite quickly, but for the price it should have been a little more. So I wasn't completely full, but my tongue was burned because I'm not used to it being served so hot. Overall 4 stars deserved.

The pizza was delicious. I like it when the topping is covered right up to the edge and not the dough is thinner than the topping. This one was great!

Within a very short time we ended up at this Italian restaurant again. The owners are very friendly and we really enjoyed the food. The dishes with calamari are particularly recommended. We are already looking forward to the next visit. 🍕🍝

Very good food for little money

We had pizza fungi and pasta in gorgonzola sauce with broccoli and both were really delicious. The pizza was nice and thin and well topped and the pasta was also very good. I had to add a little salt, but since the salt was at the table anyway, that wasn't a problem. And the service was top too!

Had dinner with friends yesterday. Everyone was excited. Had the best risotto I've ever eaten number 125 great. Service very nice and accommodating. We recommend

We became aware of the Italian restaurant through a gourmet block and tried it. Great pizza and the salad with salmon also tasted great. The staff was very friendly. There is also a side room here for smaller celebrations. Thank you, we'll be back 😉

Ended up here because of the voucher book. What can I say, from the food to the service it's just great. I've never had such a good arrabiata. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, we stood smoking and he even came out to let us know that the food was ready, that's what I call service. The other dishes, calamari griglia, pork loin in gorgonzola sauce and tagliatelle e arugula were perfect, plentiful and beautifully presented. The prices are very affordable for the great quality you get. The atmosphere is rather rustic, but we had a nice seat by the window. What was a bit annoying about the voucher book was that the landlord only allowed pizza and pasta as free dishes. Cash only. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant (although there was an exception for our puppy) All in all, I can recommend the restaurant and we will definitely come here again.

Came to visit Germany with the wife. We happened to stop by at this Italian restaurant and wow it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and love that it was a family restaurant. Next time we come back we will definitely visit this place again. Highly recommend!!!!!

Gern besuche ich das italienische Lokal in Plattling. Super leckeres Essen und sehr freundliches Personal erwarten mich. Für mich ist schon das Bruschetta als Vorspeise ein must have und in der Speisekarte finde ich immer was feines. Ich kann nur eine Empfehlung aussprechen gut & fairer Preis…

Bester italiener im umkreis von 100 km von straubing...top service & super leckeres frisches essen... Ps. ich fahre gerne 90 km für dieses herausragende speiselokal ♥️✌️

Sehr gutes Restaurant, es ist sauber, das Essen ist mittlerweile wirklich sehr gut. Man merkt, dass sich die Inhaber viel mühe geben um den Gästen einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Das Personal ist spitze, es wird einem immer Espresso angeboten während man kurz auf sein Essen wartet. Weiter so!

Eine wunderbare Ort... Pizza war zäh viel mehr man erwartet von einer so eingerichteten Restaurant. Service ist hilfsbereit und nett. Restaurant ist sauber und sehr schön Ambiente. Küche muss verbessert sein unbedingt.
