The sushi is delicious, but half of it simply fell apart due to the fact that it stuck to the board :( the price is a little high.

Went there again yesterday after not being there for a few months. The service has deteriorated significantly. It started with the WhatsApp reservation, which is offered online, but then you don't get a response. Unfortunately, the sushi doesn't taste as good as it did at the beginning, the rice was pretty hard. Payment is still only possible in cash, and when I wanted to see the bill because the amount seemed very high to me, the waitress yelled at me and was totally annoyed, almost aggressively showing me the order (not the bill) on the tablet. It's a real shame, it started so well when it opened and the months afterwards. That was the last time we ate there.

Food is good even if it is quite expensive (I think for sushi it is in the middle range) Service is ok, the serving of juices in particular could be better. The biggest point of criticism is the cleanliness of the toilets, I don't know when they were last cleaned. The ambience also gives you a bit of a warehouse vibe.

The food is fresh and tastes excellent. There is a large selection of starters, sushi and other main courses. We only ordered an appetizer and sushi and were very happy with everything. The lemonades they have are also recommended. There was very little going on late at lunchtime, so we had no problem getting a free table (there are quite a few seats overall). The staff were friendly and attentive. It is important to mention that payment can currently only be made in cash. This is also made clear by a notice on the entrance door.

My absolute favorite when it comes to sushi. The restaurant's interior is modern and there is enough space. The sushi tastes very fresh and the ingredients have an intense taste - even avocados or cucumbers in the sushi :) The dishes are served with great attention to detail and the entire staff is also very courteous and friendly. Special requests are taken into account and the price-performance ratio is great. Compared to other restaurants in Pforzheim that offer sushi, Ikigai comes first in my opinion. The visit is worth it. I only go here to eat delicious sushi.

We really had a very nice evening, the ambience was great, the service was also very satisfactory and the food was very tasty. Beautifully prepared and the quality was also top.

I don't regret my visit to Ikigai. The food is very good to look at and tastes good too. I was personally pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The furnishings are very attractive and the music is often very appropriate and calm. The service is friendly, but it can't be that tips are taken for granted and you don't even get your change back. I don't have/had no problem leaving a tip, but taking my money and just moving on without saying anything or asking is very bold in my opinion. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

If you want to eat delicious Asian food in Pforzheim, this restaurant is a must. The food was very rich and a pleasure. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. The staff was friendly, courteous and always attentive. All in all a very good restaurant.

You can now pay by card in almost every snack bar, but this shop has refused to go this route for years. Such stores should not be supported.

The food was only good on my first visit (when the restaurant was newly opened). Then things got worse and worse. All dishes are too sweet, tastes as if a lot of sugar or honey was used. Not my taste at all. Even when I ordered a dish that was extra spicy, it was sweet.... Spring rolls are way over fried and only taste like oil. The service is not seen often. Other guests stood up to draw attention to themselves. And the fact that you can't pay by card these days is, in my opinion, no longer appropriate.

I don't think I've ever given full stars in all categories 💪🏼 absolutely recommended, anyone who likes to eat sushi is definitely in the right place here. We had the family package for 4 people and then got this huge ship, plus spring rolls and udon noodles with duck ☺️ everyone was really full and everyone enjoyed it! The ambience is very nice and relaxed, the paintings on the wall are breathtaking and the music is not too loud or "dated" The staff is very friendly and accommodating 🤗 All around a great experience and a very nice evening. We will definitely come back here! *P.S. I can only recommend the "Refresher" for anyone who doesn't always want to choose the same drink ☺️ tastes really berryy

Absolute insider tip! A bit inconspicuous from the outside, but: In my opinion, the best Asian restaurant in Pforzheim. Super nice atmosphere, very nice service and exceptionally delicious food. Recommendation: the Ikigai Deluxe sauce with beef sirloin steak. It wasn't that cheap (around €17 per main course) but more than justified for the quality, we'll be going there more often now! 5 Stars

Even on early Sunday evenings, the restaurant fills up quickly. Here you can only pay in cash, which seems a bit out of date. After I was able to enjoy the excellent sushi last summer, I'm testing the main menu this time. The service is quick and attentive. I start with "Summer rolls (fresh roll filled with lettuce, rice noodles, peanuts, served with hoisin coconut sauce)" with tempura shrimp. Tasty and beautifully presented. The homemade ginger-lime lemonade is too sweet for me. We continue with "Udon in Tokyo (Japanese udon noodles fried with seasonal vegetables in homemade unagi sauce, fried onions, peanuts)" with crispy duck. Well coordinated. Only the crunchy vegetables are cut too roughly for my taste - it's good that there are chopsticks as well as a knife and fork. Conclusion: Ikigai is also convincing beyond sushi. The Ikigai restaurant has been located there for a few months. Under Vietnamese management, it defines itself as a “modern Asian restaurant”. Reservation is uncomplicated. In the dark, well-lit restaurant, the color accents of the modern furnishings come into their own. On this warm Saturday evening, the friendly and attentive service put together two tables for us so that six of us could sit in front of the restaurant on Gerberstrasse. I start with tuna tartare (“with spring onions, coriander, hot sauce and rice crackers on a bed of avocado”). We continue with the “Crouching Tiger” sushi set, consisting of 8 pieces. "Dragon Roll" ("baked shrimp, cucumber, avocado, mango, Philadelphia, special sauce, spicy sauce, teriyaki sauce & salmon coating") and 6 nigiri. A pleasure across the board, which is enhanced by the solid, but unfortunately unspecified, cold sake. The arrangement is also visually a feast for the eyes, and the staging with a bowl of dry ice does the rest. Everyone at our table is also very happy. With Ikigai, my personal sushi favorite at Bahnhofstrasse 30 has for the first time had a serious competitor. It's very loud here, which is probably due to the smooth walls and ceilings. It looks great, but it damages the acoustics. Quite expensive, but super tasty.

Food, service & ambience were top. Prices were reasonable and staff friendly. But: We had reserved for 2 people and when we arrived we were quickly allocated a place. Unfortunately, we were then informed by a waitress that we could only stay here for another 1.5 hours because then the next guests would arrive (in my opinion, there is no point in making a reservation then?). The whole thing made the evening quite un-relaxing as we were constantly looking at the clock and would have liked to have enjoyed the evening without stress. In my opinion this is a no go, if you have already made a reservation you should be allowed to stay as long as you want.

Super friendly staff, delicious food, it's a bit out of the way in a mini tunnel but it's nice and warm (early spring, cold...), the wall is beautifully painted, the tables are clean and the chairs are soft and clean and comfortable. Although the food was good, I wouldn't go there again after the treatment. No one came to take our drinks for 40 minutes. You were deliberately ignored. I work in the catering industry myself and know stressful days. Nevertheless, people were treated very unkindly. When someone came after 40 minutes, we were quickly processed and almost jostled when ordering. When the drinks came they were wrong. We let them know and the drink was taken away again. When it came back (which happened quite quickly) it spilled easily across the table. I also understand something like that. The waitress apologized and ran away. No cloth, no napkin, no rag. Our food tasted good and was very nicely prepared. Nobody even came to the table. When we had finished eating, it wasn't cleared away for another 30 minutes. Repeated requests that we would like to pay were not received. Other people in the store also became clearly dissatisfied with the long wait times. When someone came, our remaining food was just packed up and our request for payment was ignored again. When someone finally came after another 30 minutes, we were checked in again. The service person said that she now wanted to give the table away and that after paying, they should “please leave quickly”. I found it a disgrace. If it is too stressful, please send more staff and send them away after you have to wait 40 minutes for your drinks to be taken (we also had a reservation). It just wasn't okay.

Were there with 3 people. Were very satisfied so far. Delicious food, great ambience. The only small point of criticism. I ordered spicy with it, unfortunately the sauce that was brought wasn't spicy (for me). But I could have contacted myself and asked for an alternative. All in all a great evening.

The service was catastrophic. Didn't have a chance to order a second drink. There was actually enough staff there. The acoustics were similar to a sports hall. Otherwise it is very nicely decorated and the food was very tasty.

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend spontan zum essen in diesem Restaurant. Das Restaurant war komplett belegt, hatten aber nach einer Wartezeit noch einen Tisch erhalten. Das Restaurant überzeugt mit einem schönen Ambiente. Die Bedienungen schienen an diesem Abend sehr überfordert. Lange Wartezeit auf eine Karte und die Vorspeise kam vor den Getränken. Das Sushi ist gut, jedoch durchschnittlich im Vergleich zu anderen anderen Restaurants in Pforzheim. Erschreckend war die Zeit, die wir in diesem Restaurant verbringen musste. Aus einem schnellen Abendessen wurden 3 Stunden. Wer dort essen möchte muss dringend reservieren und viel Zeit mitbringen. Auf einen Rechnungsbeleg hatten wir leider ebenfalls lange warten müssen. Im Großen und Ganzen aber in Ordnung. NUR BARZAHLUNG! Der Hinweis an der Eingangstüre in reiner Schriftform ist schnell übersehen.

Vom Ikigai haben wir schon vor unserem ersten Besuch viel Gutes gehört. Leckere und ansprechend angerichtete Speisen, freundlicher Service, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Das alles können wir nach einem opulenten Essen mit Freunden bestätigen.

Hab Sushi bestellt kannte diese Laden vorher nicht. Sehr leckere Sushi. Die tempurasushis hab ich bestellt waren sooo lecker. Würde sagen der beste in Pforzheim.

Wir waren zwei Mal als Gruppe von vier Personen im IKIGAI und bei beiden Besuchen absolut begeistert. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Atmosphäre im Restaurant sehr angenehm. Besonders hervorzugehen ist das das hervorragende Sushi, welches auch auf Wunsch und je Wahl für drei oder mehr Personen serviert wird. Geschmacklich, wie auch von der Vielfalt absolut überzeugend und definitiv zu Empfehlen! Vielen Dank und auf das nächste Mal!

Schönes Restaurant im Asiatischen Stil. Reservierung lief ohne Probleme und wurde vorweg erwähnt nur Bargeldzahlung möglich. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Speisen waren sehr schön angerichtet, frisch und geschmacklich sehr gut. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt Sind nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen.

I expected a more generous amount of the creamy filling. Additionally, the sushi roll with Crispy salmon was a tad too crispy, making it a bit challenging to eat. Nevertheless, despite a few minor issues with the texture, the flavors were enjoyable. One aspect that stood out was the selection of drinks. The beverages served were truly delightful, with a variety of options that were both refreshing and delicious. Презентація суші була дотепною, кожний ролик був майстерно створений і манівцем залучав око. Однак, я повинен визнати, що знаходження ресторану трохи ускладнилося через його розташування. Щодо смаку, суші та інші страви вразили. В основному суші були ароматними та збалансованими, хоча мене трохи розчарувало суші з філадельфією. Я очікував більш великої кількості сиру в роликах (було б гарно мати щедру порцію). Крім того, суші з хрусткою лососем були трохи занадто хрусткими, що ускладнило процес споживання. Проте, незважаючи на деякі мінімальні проблеми з текстурою, смаки були приємними. Особливо варто відзначити вибір напоїв. Подані напої були дійсно чудовими, з різноманітними варіантами, які були одночасно освіжаючими та смачними. Загалом, я рекомендую відвідати цей ресторан суші в Пфорцгаймі за його приємну атмосферу, дружній сервіс та смачні страви.

Un restaurant liniștit, dragut ....mâncarea este variată și super delicioasă.. .personalul super prietenos și profesional,îți răspund cu răbdare la multe întrebări.. ..sunt asa de multe mâncăruri care te atrag ca nu știi pe care sa o alegi prima dată.....Noi am comandat 5 feluri de mancare plus 2 băuturi, nu am avut nimic de reproșat.. ..cireașa de pe tort....gheața carbonica....vom reveni curând cu mare drag. Alle 5 Punkte absolut verdient! Das Essen ist richtig lecker! Das Gemüse ist knackfrisch, die Soße sehr gut gewürzt und das Fleisch saftig und zart. Wir hatten zu viert von Tofu über Flying Noodles, Hühnerfleisch und Ente alle tolle Gerichte. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr besonders und die Stühle sind bequem und einladend. Das junge Team ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wow-mein neuer Lieblingsasiate! Von außen sieht das Gebäude nicht einladend aus, aber die Gasträume sind wirklich nett eingerichtet. Freundliche Begrüßung, wirklich flotter Service und nach wenigen Minuten war bereits unser Essen da! Und vor allem: schmackhaftes Essen, wirklich gut! Wir sind von der gut gemachten Speisekarte, dem freundlichen Service, der Küchenleistung angetan und kommen wieder!

Es war einfach so lecker und der Service wirklich top. Ich würde es jedem weiterempfehlen.
