The ramen was really delicious. Likewise the gyoza. Unfortunately, the sushi rolls are very large and therefore only fit in your mouth in several bites. Here less would be more for a pleasant meal. Service was very friendly and attentive at all times.

We went to Ikigai for the first time, without registering, at lunchtime on a Friday and it was full. We had sushi and it was delicious.

10/10, never been disappointed. Beautiful ambience and great food - especially the fried udon are great. Vegetarians also get their money's worth, e.g. the vegan roast duck is very tasty :) The homemade iced tea tastes a bit like bubble tea, but is also highly recommended if you don't mind sweet food

We were here for the first time last week. The restaurant is comfortably furnished, the service was friendly and the food (mango - coconut - curry with duck and rice / udon noodles with duck and teriyaki sauce) was very tasty. I can only recommend this restaurant.

The atmosphere is nice but it is a bit cramped, the staff is always very nice, whether picking up or on site. I've tried a variety of things and the food always tastes very good. And deliveries always arrive warm. Prices are slightly above the Asian food average. But if you like it and are satisfied, you're happy to pay. Is recommended, we order and come often and gladly......!

Oh my god, that was awesome! Had pho with beef and various sushi. Mochi ice cream for dessert. Everything was awesome. It's been a long time since I've eaten something so tasty. The staff was great and the atmosphere was also very nice. Many thanks to the Ikigai team.

It was our first time eating there and it was an absolute highlight. I've never had Asian food so good and the sushi was excellent. The udon noodles with duck were really tasty, but the peanut coconut sauce was just amazing! I'll definitely come back :)

Everything went smoothly when we made the reservation, the team was super flexible and accommodating. Service: From the boss to the entire staff - everyone was extremely friendly, attentive and professional. We received a warm welcome and the team had everything perfectly organized so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our every wish was met with a smile! Food: An absolute highlight! Despite the large group, all the dishes came to the table quickly, hot and at the same time - a masterpiece! The quality of the food was on point: fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The sushi platters in particular were a real eye-catcher and tasted like a dream! Special extras: I had my own cake with me and the team served it beautifully at no extra charge - a service you don't get everywhere! The plates were stylishly arranged and extra dessert spoons were even included. Conclusion: If you are looking for a restaurant with excellent food, first-class service and a great atmosphere, this is the right place for you! Was at Ikigai for the first time on Sunday. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Food really tasty and freshly prepared. There is also an awful lot of sushi. But I didn't eat it because I'm not that into it. The price is also okay. I will definitely come back, thank you very much 👍😋😋

Delivery service has become unreliable and the delivery time is rather long. Unfortunately, the food is often no longer hot and the taste suffers as a result

Lots of delicious Japanese and Asian delicacies that will leave you wanting more. We particularly liked the ramen but actually you can't go wrong, everything here is prepared with love and you can see and taste it. Clear recommendation!

Very nicely decorated restaurant, on the weekend there is a 2-shift principle, you have to reserve in advance but that's understandable. The food is very good and the drinks are very creative. The waiter is very very polite and attentive.

Ikigai - Loosely translated, “That which is worth living for” or “The feeling of having something that is worth getting up for in the morning”. When you visit the Ikigai in Backnang you literally have something all day long that is worth getting up for in the morning. My many and varied visits have always led back to the same result. First-class service combined with quality food from sushi to ramen to simple appetizers or desserts; Here the overall package is unique. I have never had such a positive experience in an Asian/sushi restaurant as I did here. Added to this is the extremely beautifully designed ambience with different facets that you can explore depending on where you sit. The price is great, and we don't even need to get started on the overwhelming friendliness of the employees towards each other and towards the customers. My last visit was on my birthday and it was the best end to the day I could imagine. A birthday sushi platter with extras and candles, prosecco from the house to celebrate and great creativity from the sushi chef with the so-called “Omakase” menu. In this restaurant everything is right from start to finish, which is why it is well deserved and how could it be otherwise: 5 stars Attached are a few more pictures from my visits.

We ordered the food online directly from the site. The given time was adhered to. We had written in the comment that we shouldn't ring the bell but instead call because the baby is sleeping. That worked too. The food tastes very tasty, the portions could have been a little larger for us.

I rarely give 5 stars for food, but in this case it applies. The mango dish with beef was on the highest level in terms of taste! Everything was super fresh and the beef was really good too. Only the atmosphere is a bit "busy" due to the many deliveries outside the home! Gladly again in Backnang...

I would never order anything here again. I accidentally ordered the same meal twice, tofu and rice with curry. We would have to pay despite the fact that it was ordered by mistake and they couldn't remember that they cooked the SAME thing and brought it twice. Not only that, but the rice with curry was extremely bad. You could say there was nothing at all except ULTRA lots of curry. You couldn't even choose how much curry you get. Even I, who really like curry, found it overdone and not at all Asian. Only tofu was good, but far too little for 5 euros. I can make it myself at home for 3 euros.

Invoice and menu prices do not match. Lieferando determines the prices, was the statement. For example, an alcohol-free cocktail is listed at 5.90 euros on the menu and was billed at 6.90 euros

This evening I went to ikigai for the first time with my girlfriend. We were quite pleasantly surprised. As a "Japan professional" I know what Japanese cuisine should taste like. There are no Japanese chefs, but Vietnamese or Thai, but despite everything, the sushi tastes really good and there is not too much rice under the nigiri, which is what people like to do. My miso soup was a disaster at first. It tasted extremely sour. But it was replaced without any problems by a new, very tasty miso soup. Service was really very accommodating. All in all, I'm happy to give it a good 4 stars and will definitely come back and recommend the place and certainly use the delivery service. Upgrading my rating to 5 stars. I order regularly now and I have to say it's always TOP I would like to reduce my review from 5 to 1 stars, no I don't want to but unfortunately I have to. I've been thinking for a long time about whether I should give this review or not because I've been a regular customer for about 3 years now and regularly order food for around 80 to 100 euros. But what happened to me at the beginning of February doesn't fit into any shoe. On that Friday at the beginning of February this year I wanted to have sushi delivered to me again from Ikigai. Since sometimes no delivery service can be offered due to a lack of employees, I called to see if delivery could be made as a precaution. It was affirmed. No sooner said than done, I ordered sushi for 86 euros and paid via PayPal as usual. Half an hour later I looked at my ordering process and saw that the order didn't go any further. Call in ikigai. My order has not been received. When I asked about paying via PayPal, I was told that if I didn't receive a confirmation by email, it didn't work and no payment would be made. In fact, I didn't receive any confirmation via email. I was told to try again. Said and done. Half an hour later I looked again and the same thing again. Called again in ikigai. I was told that I should just try it again and they didn't know what the whole problem was. Well all good things come in threes. Said and done. Same problem again. Then I left it. 2.5 hours later, all 3 amounts are debited in one fell swoop. Then it almost hit me. I immediately called the restaurant and was told "oops, something must have gone wrong on our part" and they would prepare my food now. Then I said I didn't need it anymore and maybe they could have given me a quick call when three amounts totaling almost 270 euros were debited all at once. When I asked how the repayment was done, I was told that the money would of course be transferred back to my Paypal account. It was Saturday, it was Sunday, it was Monday. No reaction from ikigai. I wrote an email and politely asked to transfer the money back to me. No reaction. called 3 times. Then they said they hadn't received any money from me, then again they did and of course they would pay back. Excuses after excuses. My money was of course debited from my Paypal account and checking account and Paypal also confirmed this. Ultimately I had to request my money back via Paypal Buyer Protection. And had it again four weeks later. It's really a mystery to me what this behavior by ikigai was supposed to be about. I'm bitterly disappointed and pissed off about such behavior. Mistakes can always happen and I tried to solve it this way several times and was lied to. For me, this place has died and I can no longer recommend it. A pity
