The restaurant is relatively simple, but I was even more surprised by the good quality. I had the vegetarian udon noodles. Really tasty and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy (obviously not frozen vegetables).

my favorite restaurant to eat/dine out! they have a wide range of food and drinks that everyone regardless if vegan/vegetarian or meat eater can enjoy. if you come during lunch time they have a set menu which changes every week where you get certain dishes for a lower price. the atmosphere is phenomenal and you can enjoy a light meal or have a nice dinner with friends and family. i definitely recommend checking this place out!

I became aware of Hung anh again through tiktok or Instagram. When I was there (around 5 p.m.) the store was very empty. It was beautifully decorated inside, but it was almost too kitschy for me (I never have that much of a problem with it otherwise). We got our food quickly and like many other Asians there is nothing to complain about here, but it doesn't blow you away. It's solid but also replaceable. The store doesn't stand out from other Asians now. Service wasn't that good, we wanted to pay but no one was interested in us. We then had to go to the front and pay directly at the counter.

Bad conditions. A waitress who always had a braid and wore black clothes served me. I can only say it was very bad service, I can't recommend it and the food took a long time even though there were no customers. When I was eating, one of their employees with a cap watched me the whole time I was eating. I told them so and then they swore at me. It wasn't nice, I'd rather not go there anymore

Ordered egg noodles with vegetables and tofu and the person I went with ordered beef pho, the beef pho arrived and my food arrived as tofu with shredded vegetable and peanuts, we then said this was the wrong order and I received a curry with rice, after the third time I received the correct food although it was mainly a bowl of celery. They informed us that they undercharged us (this was true as the food they gave me before hand was actually cheaper than what I ordered) so we said can we pay the extra amount but turns out you can’t pay it on card, luckily we had cash with us to pay for the extra money which they hadn’t put into the system. Generally left hungry and feeling unhappy. Even if the food tasted average it wasn’t even worth the hassle won’t be coming back any time soon

Probably the best Tom Ga Ka soup I've eaten in Berlin so far. All dishes were prepared quickly and brought to the table at optimal heat. The service was very friendly and inside you were well isolated from the street noise.

An excellent price-performance ratio. The service was very attentive, the food was really tasty and filling. First a visit to the Dorotheenstadt cemetery to see the graves of, for example, Fichte, Hegel, Brecht, Heiner Müller, Herbert Marcuse, Johannes Grützke, Fritz Teufel and many other personalities, then watch the light show by James Turrell in the chapel, Last time you went to Hung Anh for dinner and you had a hell of a day in Berlin.

The rating is just shy of 5*. The food alone would have earned full marks, but what bothered us was the strange table arrangement, the waiting time for the dishes and the friendliness of the staff. The latter could be described as Nordic cool. If you have enough time, you can certainly get over the longer wait for drinks and food, even if there are only a few guests. However, it is a good sign that all dishes are freshly prepared. It should only be mentioned in passing that Vietnamese cuisine is adapted to the German palate and may not come across as very spicy. The strange table arrangement hinders the service staff and possibly also other guests. We think the ambience is very successful and exudes good harmony. Conclusion: Recommended for guests who are not in a hurry.

Vietnamese and Japanese are very different kitchen. I never understood how they could be combined. When I came here late in the evening, I was specifically going for the ‘Japanese’ fusion dining, rather than Vietnamese. Homemade lime juice and stir fried udon were good. The udon was actually quite delicious for what they did, served hot right out of the wok. But the real highlight for me was the maguro nigiri - it was good quality sushi with generous slices of tuna. Happy to recommend this place.

Price-performance is good. The dishes are traditional, but I would like to highlight the starters. The lychee lemonade totally suited my taste. The service seemed a bit bored. Ambience is also okay, nothing extraordinary. So all in all - good!

Hung Anh restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its great atmosphere and nicely decorated interior. The presentation and taste of the food are both top-notch, delivering an awesome culinary experience. However, there was a peculiar situation at the end of the meal when I requested the bill after payment, and instead of providing a traditional receipt, the staff instructed me to take a picture of the screen with my phone. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall dining experience at Hung Anh was highly enjoyable and memorable.

We ate 3 types of animal; Not you. When it's really full, there's a shortage of staff - they're generally quick! Used before cultural events. Dating in context would go well. I don't want to sit outside in the summer because of cars and the air I breathe. Inside, I didn't notice any noise from outside directly at the window. Feb' 2024

Lovely place with delicious food and nice decor at a reasonable price. Few days ago I visited the Hung Anh restaurant. This popular place with Vietnamese cuisine is located at the central part of the city. The prices of the food are really reasonable. The ambience of the restaurant was cosy. The staff were fast and polite. The Udon Xao dishes were delicious, especially duck with crispy crust was exquisite. I was pleasantly surprised by own production alcohol-free cocktails. They were so delectable. I would strongly recommend this restaurant if you are going to visit lovely place to chill with delicious food, nice decor and cosy atmosphere.

Wow! Ein echt leckeres Essen. Ich hatte das Rote Curry mit Hähnchen und Reis. Sehr, sehr lecker. Als Vorspeise vegetarische Teigtaschen. Auch megalecker. Wenn ich mal wieder in Berlin bin, komme ich gerne wieder.

Zufällig gesehen, dass meine erste Rezension mit einem stern, deaktiviert wurde. Für nicht gastro Menschen. Der Chef benutzt die Möglichkeit einen Bewertungs Anwalt jede negative Bewertung anzweifeln zu lassen, sodass ich als Gast nicht nur schlecht essen mußte, sondern auch Mehraufwand betreiben muss, um es kund zu tun. Ursprüngliche Bewertung war harmlos formuliert, einzig eine zahlen Kombination die mit Null beginnt und fünfzehn endet genutzt. Aber wenn ich Mehraufwand haben muss, kann ich auch Ausführlicher werden. Dieser schöne Ort und von unterirdisch motivierten nicht erkennbaren Mitarbeiter geführte laden schimpft sich doppelt. In der Mitte ein Haus Eingang der Anwohner und dann meine ich mich erinnern zu können rechts der eigenständige vegane laden, der eine eigene Bar, Eingang, Toiletten etc hat. Links die optische Spiegelung mit Fleisch und Fisch. Ich war zu der Zeit vegan und bin einzig wegen dem Wort außen dort rein um mittags SCHNELL eine Nudelsuppe zu essen. Es war noch Terrassen Betrieb und die terasse gut besucht. Ich sprach eine Mitarbeiterin an ob es ok wäre wenn ich drinnen platzieren würde. Ich wurde ernsthaft gefragt wieso, aber das nehme ich kaum übel, weil ich öfters asiatisch essen gehe und das tatsächlich unter vietnamesen die normale Antwort wäre. Ich bin italiener der eher als deutscher oder Skandinavier geschätzt wird, ich nahm direkt einen Platz am Eingang um niemanden einen mehr Aufwand auf den bauch binden zu müssen, das ein Gast drinnen sitzen wollte. Ich war alleine drinnen. Kein Mitarbeiter zu sehen oder hören und alle anderen Gäste waren draussen. Nach einigen Minuten kam jemand vorbei, der noch vor meiner Frage, Antworten konnte: Moment Ab dem Moment wusste ich, mehr al die Null acht.... Wird mich nicht erwarten.... Auf jeden Fall hat es min 15 Minuten gedauert, bis jemand mich als Gast mit einer Karte begrüßte, nachdem ich gefragt habe ob es ok ist.... Ich brauchte die Karte nicht, fragte einzig ob die vegane Brühe zusätzliche glutamate hat oder nur die wenigen, welche die Zutaten besitzen... War zu hoch für den jungen man. Ich erklärte lhm kurz das ich das nicht als Trend frage, sondern wirklich einiges nicht vertrage. Zb brühwürfel, Knorr, Maggi, vegeta und co. Die glutamate aus den tofu, soya oder anderen Asia soucen ist nicht relevant für mich. Nach dem er überlegen musste, bat ich ihn bitte zu fragen. Es kam ein anderer Mitarbeiter und versicherte mir das die Brühe vegan ist und wie ich richtig angesprochen hatte keine zusätzlichen aber Zutaten bedingte Glutamate enthalten kann. Mittlerweile sind gut 30 min vergangen, meine Mittagspause wäre vorbei gewesen. Die Zubereitung ging vietnamesisch schnell aber was auf mich zukam war schockierende als eine allergische Reaktion auf vegeta und knorr Geschmacks verstärker. Der, ebenso wie alle anderen Mitarbeiter, im Freizeit Kleidung kaum zu zuordnene Mitarbeiter kam, ohne spass, nicht Richtung Küche mit meinem Teller auf mich zu sondern über die terasse gelaufen aus dem nicht veganen, identischen Laden. Ich fand meine erste Bewertung besser, aber wer sich besser schummeln möchte, muss mlt der Wahrheit leben können. PS wenn meine Bewertung wiederholt deaktiviert wird. Schreibe ich beim nächsten mal noch die zweiten Hälfte der Geschichte. PPS ich kann zeigen und durch Google GPS history bestätigen das dich wirklich dort war.

Guten Abend meine Essenliebhaber. Hier ein kleiner Bericht zum Essen. Normalerweise esse ich nicht gerne asiatisch, da ich selber aus Asien bin. Heute war der Tag an dem ich mich wieder getraut habe, wieder asiatisch zu essen ( wo anders als bei meiner Mutter ). Das Essen ist Empfehlenswert und kommt das Essen meiner Mutter sehr nah, wenn nicht sogar identisch. Und jeder weiß, was es bedeutet, wenn jemand sagt, dass das Essen so gut schmeckt, wie die eigene Mutter kocht.

An allererster Stelle zu erwähnen ist, wie unglaublich lecker und frisch das Essen schmeckt. Abgesehen davon sehr netter Service. Man wartet zwar etwas länger auf das Essen was für Sushi nicht unüblich ist aber dennoch ist der Laden jeden Stern wert und es lohnt sich ein paar wenige Minuten länger zu warten für die unglaublich gute Qualität die sie einem bieten können.

This place is a great price/performance restaurant. The prices are low considering the central location and the food tastes really good. You can have a great Asian dish for almost a doner kebab price 😄 I had a pad thai with duck and can't complain about it. It was yummy. You can't go wrong with fried dishes in here. It's worth a visit if you're around. I'll definitely come back.

This hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city is a culinary haven for Vietnamese food enthusiasts, and I can confidently say that it has become one of my favorite restaurants.

We have been here before, four years ago. The food was still great. I have to criticize the service because we waited almost 30 minutes for the check. However, there were a lot of customers. Otherwise, the service was ok!
