The food was delicious and authentic. There was a wide selection of dishes. Our favorites were the falafel, scallops, and wild herb salad as a starter, followed by the mixed grill platter as a main course. The meat was fantastic. Very friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. We'll be back! 😀

The portions are really generous, and I think the price is more than fair. ... And one more thing: the entire restaurant is spotlessly clean, including the restrooms; everything is very well-maintained. Again: I'm so glad I found this restaurant with these wonderful people. The visit was very pleasant, and the food was truly delicious. Even though I can no longer consider it a hidden gem, places like this deserve to be recommended. I thought I'd spontaneously get a beef shawarma from the Lebanese restaurant. It was my very first time there, and I was naturally impressed by the 4.9 stars. Actually, I don't know how anyone came up with that rating; the taste was really average; a shawarma actually has to be cut from a spit. You walk into the restaurant, you don't see a spit, nothing. The biggest surprise was paying €14 for a shawarma. That certainly doesn't exist anywhere in Germany. If you even find an Arabic shawarma for ten euros, it's an authentic, properly made one, not one with roasted meat, and then for €14. Taste 6.5/10 Value for money 5/10. In Karlsruhe, you can get a much better shawarma in a flatbread for €8, with the same concept, and the best quality young bull meat.

Super delicious food, really good and attentive service and you didn't feel like they wanted to get rid of the customer again as soon as possible. A little advice for everyone who comes in there: 1. Prepare yourself for a culinary experience beyond anything you've tried before. 2. Save room for dessert and choose the Arabic ice cream, it's so delicious that just thinking about it gives you goosebumps and last but not least try the homemade lemonade, it goes perfectly with the ice cream. All in all, a sublime experience, we're only sad about one thing about our visit here... the restaurant is far too far from where we live (approx. 900km) if it had been within a radius of max 200km we would be regular customers👍😊

We had Hummus cater our German/Lebanese wedding for 90 people. Everything was delicious, and the guests were very impressed with the vegetarian buffet. Communication was very straightforward and professional. We've been a fan of hummus for a long time, but now our guests are too.

5 stars aren't enough I don't know of any other restaurant that serves such top-notch Levantine cuisine. We visited here for the first time today on our daughter's recommendation. It was simply AMAZING. Even in the Levant, this restaurant would be right at the top. At Hummus, everything is freshly prepared by the chef himself, who cooks with heart and passion – and the staff is also incredibly friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very cozy, and everything is very clean and tidy. For us, Hummus is worth the trip, even from Ulm.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hummus Lebanese Cuisine Restaurant for the first time – and it was definitely worth the experience! The ambiance is spacious and cozy, with lovely outdoor seating. I was particularly impressed by the open kitchen, where two elderly ladies and a gentleman prepare authentic Lebanese specialties – a clear sign of true craftsmanship and tradition. As someone with food intolerances, I was thrilled by the variety of vegan and gluten-free options. The meal itself was exceptionally delicious – I had beef with hummus, a spicy sauce, vegetables, and fresh bread. A small note: The portion of meat was very generous, which unfortunately caused it to cool and dry out while eating. A hot plate would have been ideal here to ensure the enjoyment lasts until the last bite. The drinks are also special – my fruit puree of mango, strawberry, and banana was absolutely delicious. The mocha, on the other hand, took a bit of getting used to for my taste – but that's a matter of taste, as we all know. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great restaurant with authentic cuisine and plenty of charm. I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys authentic Lebanese cuisine! 🌿🍴

Very friendly staff. Attentive and courteous. Only non-alcoholic drinks. The non-alcoholic Hefeweizen beer wasn't cold and was poured in a Heineken Pilsner glass. The Lebanese bread was served in small plastic bags. Everything was a bit unusual. The food was very well prepared, but a bit overpriced. For example, the Lebanese tapas rice with discount-store minced meat for €9, or the lamb ragout with four small pieces of meat for €15. Guests expect a bit more. The menu offers a wide selection, including vegetarian dishes.

Very tasty food and service is top

I was there today and had grilled cutlets. I gave it one star because the food was really delicious, but for €22, I got three small cutlets and nothing with them, just a bit of rice. So expensive for very little, plus the disorganized staff who took half an hour to take our order and got our food after an hour. So, never again. "Update: Unfortunately, the restaurant responded very rudely to my review. This shows that constructive criticism is not welcome there. It's a shame, because as a guest, you expect respect. Due to the poor value for money and the unprofessional treatment of customers, I cannot recommend the restaurant."

For me, this is the best Lebanese food in Germany. So authentic in taste and a vibrant atmosphere. This time I tried the classic Fatteh and Jallab.

I was misled by the high rating. They couldn’t bring a single salad in an hour — I won’t even comment on the main course. The staff had no idea where they were or who they were supposed to be serving. A complete disappointment.

Excellent Lebanese food with a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. I ate matzah here, including avocado hummus, falafel, fattoush, vine leaves, and baked cauliflower. All the portions were a good size. Everything was very well presented, fresh, and wonderfully seasoned. Very tasty. But what blew me away most was the baked cauliflower. It was super tender, with the creamy tahini and toasted almond slivers, a heavenly combination. I haven't had anything as delicious as this anywhere else. The other dishes were also impressive, although the avocado hummus was the only dish that didn't taste very much. The service was also very friendly and open, and we felt comfortable. The food is reasonably priced. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend Hummus Lebanese Cuisine.

Great food, it arrived fresh and warm. We wanted dessert, but we were full - the cocktail (smootie) was amazing 😍 Meal for two with two cocktails was around €38.

Despite the restaurant was crowded (fully booked), they accepted my order. After about 40 minutes my order was ready. The stuff was friendly (even if I speak English). The dishes were sufficient big and tasty (I think they are trying to keep the original taste instead of adapting it to the European expectations). The price was reasonable. No unwanted surprises or fees.

In addition, the Ayran drink had an unpleasant smell that was strongly reminiscent of perfume - very unappetizing. The prices are significantly too high compared to the quality. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, almost as if you were visiting relatives. The mezze platters are an absolute highlight - creamy hummus, perfectly seasoned baba ghanoush and the best falafel I've had in a long time. I was particularly moved by the Warak Enab (stuffed grape leaves), which immediately reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. It's rare to find a place that impresses not only with taste but also with feeling. For me, this meal was more than just a visit to a restaurant - it was a little journey back to the roots, to family celebrations, stories at the table and the feeling of home. We visit the restaurant regularly on the way home from the Swabian Springs. We can only judge the vegan dishes. Very large selection and never disappointed. Top quality at reasonable prices. The only small point of criticism is that the flatbread is brought to the table wrapped in plastic. This could also be solved in a more environmentally friendly way.

More than just a restaurant that serves food...the Lebanese and Arab flavor is found in this place with the full sense of the quality and diversity of the food... accompanied by good and warm hospitality.

There are a few parking spaces next door. With the move from Güterstrasse to Schlossberg, Hummus has become a really nice restaurant, which is of course also reflected in the price. There are tables for large groups and alcoves for groups of two. Additional heaters banish the winter cold. Even with a full house you can still have a good conversation. The menu offers the entire range of Lebanese cuisine, main courses range between 12 and 35 euros. In addition to the classic plates, you can also find bowls and sandwiches. The service is friendly, card payment is possible. After 6 p.m., the hummus fills up quickly. As always in oriental restaurants, I start with "Baba Ghanoush (grilled eggplant refined with lemon, garlic, tahini sauce, olive oil and Lebanese bread)". I enjoy "Sawda Ghanam" (fresh lamb's liver dressed with coriander, garlic, Lebanese spices, finally refined with lemon juice). As a drink I choose "Laban", which can best be compared to Ayran. Overall, a good meal that doesn't weigh you down. On subsequent visits I enjoy the classic “Shawarma chicken with fries (chicken breast strips, garlic cream, pickled cucumbers, hummus with Lebanese bread)”. The meat is tender and flavorful, the fries are crispy. I find the bowl “Fatteh Classic with Beef (roasted bread, soft-boiled chickpeas, parsley, garlic, Lebanese spices, tahini-yoghurt sauce and beef with roasted almonds)” even more delicious. The only thing I would have preferred for tea was something other than German bagged tea. Conclusion: There is still a lot to discover here.
