Gute Zimmer und toller Restaurantbetrieb. Nur zu Empfehlen!

Hier kann ich leider nur von einer Zimmerreservierung berichten. Telefonisch ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Via Mail noch mal Bezug auf das Telefonat genommen. Keine Bestätigungsmail bekommen. Am Anreisetag angerufen und leider ist die Reservierung bei dem Hotel durchgegangen. Habe ich kein Verständnis für.

Wir waren dort Essen und wurden schon beim Hinsetzen gefragt, wie wir denn bezahlen möchten. Im Anschluss wurde uns sowohl falsche Getränke als auch falsches Essen geliefert. Als wir darauf hingewiesen haben, wurde mit uns lautstark vor allen Gästen diskutiert. Wir nahmen das falsche Essen, trotzdem und anstatt es Seiten des Restaurants darauf beruhen zu lassen, kamen vereinzelt unterschiedliche Mitarbeiter vorbei, um jedes Mal lautstark während des Essens mit uns zu diskutieren, dass wir einfach nicht richtig bestellt haben. Zu keiner Zeit zeigten sich die Mitarbeiter des Restaurants versöhnlich, obwohl wir nachgegeben hatten.

Das Restaurant war am Tag meines Besuchs sehr gefüllt. Trotzdem war der Service sehr gut und die Getränke wurden nach der Bestellung schnell serviert. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist vielfältig; da sollte jeder etwas Passendes finden. Salatbuffet umfangreich une es wirkte nicht - was für mich wichtig ist - nicht "leer gegessen"! Insgesamt ist das Restaurant Jamerkrug empfehlenswert. Lediglich die Parkplatzsituation rings um das Lokal ist knapp.

Es war ruhig und sauber, der Empfang verlief reibungslos und der Service war erstklassig. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, und wenn ich wiederkomme, ist es definitiv meine erste Wahl. Vielen Dank auch an die freundlichen Mitarbeiter.

Wir waren heute im Jammerkrug essen. Die Speisen sind hervorragend. Leider kam es beim bezahlen zu Irritationen, angeblich konnte nicht mit Karte gezahlt werden, das Gerät sei nicht in Ordnung!?!? Bargeld hatte ich nicht dabei, da in der heutigen Zeit alles unbar beglichen wird!!! Selbst ein Brötchen beim Bäcker... Die Chefin kam an den Tisch und erkundigte sich ob es nicht im Vorfeld bei der telefonischen Reservierung gesagt wurde!!!??? Reservierung fand schon vor einer Woche statt!!! Woher wissen die Gastronomen das es eine Woche später nicht funktioniert... Wiederwillig versuchte der Kellner sein Glück mit dem Kartenlesegerät und siehe da es funktionierte.. ich kam mir etwas Verar...... vor.

Wir waren hier essen. Das Essen war sehr gut und kam ungewöhnlich schnell. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir waren vollauf zufrieden.

Brot/Oliven/Peperoni vorab - nett, aber nicht gut (zu salzig). Salat soweit gut und frisch vom Kantinenambiente-Buffet. Voll und dadurch laut, Service wie im Bierzelt - zwar zackig, aber nicht zum Wohlfühlen. Vorspeise (Garnelen) war gut und das Knoblauchöl angenehm mit Chilis ergänzt. Hauptspeise: schmeckte nur nach fettem Speck oder Brühwürfel oder beidem. Ein solch große Karte mit mehrern "frischen" Suppen (ja, ne - is klar) und überbordenden Teller überschwemmt von Soße...dazu pappig matschiges Brokkoli ertränkt unter Hollandaise und Pfifferlinge aus der Dose...hmmmm, nicht....

***** Der Jammerkrug ist ein Aushängeschild Gladbecks und steht für Qualität, Leistung und Service. Hier fühle ich mich als Gast gleich wohl. Die Speisen sind stets frisch zubereitet. So manches selbsternanntes Steakhaus kann sich hier ein Beispiel nehmen. Mein Glückwunsch an das gesamte Team vom Jammerkrug. Ihr habt die Corona Krise überstanden und euch sogar noch verbessert. Update 2023: ***** Wir haben im Jammerkrug im August 2023 2xGeburtstage gefeiert. Es war einfach toll. Die herzliche Bedienung und das Essen. Zu empfehlen ist die Fischplatte. Die Übergabe vom Seniorchef an den Junior ist geglückt. Der Service ist sogar noch besser geworden. Weiter so. Update 2026: *** Das Restaurant ist nach wie vor unser bevorzugtes Steakhaus. Beim letzen Besuch war die Qualität der Beilagen sehr schlecht. Bitterer Spinat ungewürzt. Dosenchampignons. Ich hoffe es war ein Ausrutscher.

Gute Speisen zu guten Preisen, sehr nettes Personal.

Positiv: zentrale Lage des Hotels, kostenloses WLAN, das Zimmer war ruhig, da es zum Hinterhof gelegen war. Negativ: kein Doppelbett, sondern zwei zusammen geschobene Einzelbetten; schmutzige Wände/ Ecken; abfallender Putz, Loch in der Wand; Müll vom Vorgast im Schreibtisch; vom Restaurant bis hinauf zum Hotel Geruch vom alten Fett; kein barrierefreier Zugang zu den Zimmern (38 Stufen); Einchecken im Restaurant bei laufendem Betrieb; der Chef schreit durch den Raum: "ist schon bezahlt!" (Datenschutz); die Chefin sollte uns das Zimmer zeigen, sie drückte uns den Schlüssel in die Hand mit der Aussage: "gehen Sie in den zweiten Stock, dann rechts, da ist das Hotel" ; keine Hotelparkplätze! das Frühstück war ok. 1x und nie wieder. Alles Gute.

Super freundlicher Familienbetrieb Essen ist super lecker und gut

Wir waren dort zum zweiten Mal essen. Die Bedienung war sehr aufgeschlossen und freundlich. Der Salat vom Buffet war lecker und frisch. Man sitzt auch etwas abgeschirmt, weil die Tische in mehreren Nischen stehen. Wir waren mit dem Essen zufrieden.

Die Zimmer sind für diese Preisklasse absolut in Ordnung. Das Restaurant ist ausgesprochen lecker und dabei sehr preiswert. Zudem ist das Personal durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Immer sehr gutes Essen aber eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen ist immer sehr gut besucht. Service immer sehr gut.

Wir waren nach einigen Jahren wieder hier und das Steak war köstlich und perfekt zubereitet. Die Sitzgelegenheiten sind etwas eng, und das Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist dennoch gemütlich. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen.

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder hier gewesen und wir sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Essen war wieder super lecker, Steaks sind hier schon top. Die Mitarbeiter sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wartezeit zum Essen war nicht wirklich lang. Preislich ist es auch im Normalbereich.. Aber zu dieser Zeit ,Rudelsingen (glaube ich ) und so eine Art Weihnachtsmarkt ist es mit dem Parken eine Art Lotterie. Aber da kann das Restaurant ja nichts für. Ansonsten, wie geschrieben, alles super.. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

I went to Jammerkrug for lunch today. The friendly server immediately brought me bread, olives, and pepperoni—everything looked quite nice and tasty. I ordered the mixed grill. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Apart from the fries and rice, the food was awful. The meat was so dry and inedible; I barely ate any of it. When I checked the bill later (I paid by card), I noticed that they had charged me €18.50 for the mixed grill. It was 1 p.m., and the mixed grill usually costs only €13.90 at lunchtime. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Super Restaurant, absolut leckere Gerichte

There were four of us staying at the hotel. A cleaning lady simply stole our charging cable. When we spoke to her, she said she couldn't reach the drawer and that I should call back later. After a phone call, I was assured that I should send my address by email and the charging cable would be returned to me. It never arrived. They don't respond to emails. This is completely unacceptable! I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The hotel is perfectly fine – clean, quiet, and without any fuss. The highlight, however, is undoubtedly the restaurant with its Balkan charm: the Serbian specialties are exceptionally well-prepared, robust in flavor, and without any frills – exactly as you'd expect. Perfect for a relaxing Sunday evening when you want to end the week in style and aren't in the mood for anything too adventurous. Overall, a solid impression: 4 to 4.5 stars, fully deserved. If you're hungry, poftă și chef de liniște are, aici te simți bine.

We ate there yesterday, and were immediately served bread and asked if we wanted to pay by cash or card! What's the point of that? Surely that can be sorted out after the meal. The salad was delicious, but the food arrived after five minutes and was awful. Greasy fried potatoes that weren't fresh, the meat was fatty, and the cevapcici were inedible. Any fast-food joint would have been better. When asked if we enjoyed our meal, I replied that I've had better... the response was that there hadn't been any complaints so far. The friendly lady didn't seem to care, as the restaurant was packed. That's another issue. It's too cramped, too crowded, too hot, and too uncomfortable. I wouldn't plan on going back there and certainly wouldn't recommend it.

The food was delicious and arrived incredibly quickly. We had a wonderful evening.

We've enjoyed going to the Jammerkrug for many years, but our last visit was unfortunately disappointing. The fish was too dry and greasy, the spinach was noticeably oversalted, and our feedback was met with a rather negative response. The spaghetti with vegetables tasted of nothing. Our birthday table, which was supposed to be nicely set, was sadly unprepared. It's a shame – we used to be much happier here.

An institution in Gladbeck for decades. Great steaks and the best cordon bleu far and wide.

It was my second visit to the restaurant, and once again there was plenty on the plate. The food was also very good and highly recommended.

Yesterday, the two of us went to the Jammerkrug for steak dinner to try their 800-degree steaks. Everything was really good: the service, the salad buffet, and the drinks. We had the Irish rib-eye, which was cooked/grilled to perfection and tasted excellent; even without the sauce provided, butter and a little pepper were perfectly sufficient. The US surf & turf was just as tasty, so it was a hit. The king prawn, on the other hand, turned out to be a slightly larger crab, which was also fried to death. The ratio was completely wrong and should be revised for other guests.

Stay away from this hotel! I can't recommend it. The fitted sheets had holes, the toilet was cracked, the plaster on the wall behind the bed was peeling off in large areas, and the shower frame was completely dirty. A shame – the condition of the rooms here is deplorable!

A successful evening with a good meal, haven't been there for a long time, only a restaurant not a hotel

We really enjoyed the delicious food and the atmosphere. It was our first time there. Every month there's a new menu, cheaper Tuesday through Thursday, and always something different, which we really like. So you can eat out more often and it's affordable. Thank you very much for that. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. I can't comment on the hotel rooms as we were only there for dinner. What's a shame, though, is that parking is difficult on site.

We ate there, highly recommended, great prices at lunch

We celebrated a birthday there with a group of 12 people. Drinks and appetizers were brought to the table promptly. When we ordered, no one asked how the steaks were done. We only received our main courses about an hour after the appetizers. Some ingredients were burnt and most of the dishes were too dry. When we asked, we were told that the croquettes there are always that dark. One dish wasn't brought to the table at all (it was burnt), so the birthday child didn't get to eat until after everyone else. Unfortunately, there was a strong burnt smell the entire time. The restaurant was busy and quite noisy, and at times you could clearly sense the stress of the staff. On several occasions, a reordered drink was forgotten. We have decided not to eat there again. However, we can say that after a personal complaint, a small concession was made.

We've eaten here a few times and it's so delicious. The service is always attentive. The food arrives quickly, and it's delicious. Absolutely 5/5, TOP.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to Haus Jammerkrug. Upon entering the restaurant, you're immediately struck by the cozy and stylish ambiance – tastefully decorated and with great attention to detail. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The food was absolutely outstanding: freshly prepared, creatively presented, and of the highest quality. Every course was a delight! We were particularly impressed by the selection of regional ingredients and the harmonious composition of the dishes. The service was also first-class – friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. You can tell that the work here is done with heart and passion. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend Jammerkrug!

Always happy to come back. We've never been disappointed! Always great service, very friendly. And always delicious 😋. We've been coming there for a few years now.

At first, we were told we could use the parking spaces as hotel guests. Four minutes after check-out, we received a parking ticket.

Unfortunately, they're unable to accept a reservation for December 25, 2025. They keep saying, "Call tomorrow, the person who'll sort it out will be there." After five calls, I sent an email, but of course, no response. So, it seems they don't want any guests there. So, for the six of us, that's the end of the story.

I called there last night and wanted to reserve a quiet table for Tuesday evening. As a result, this was not possible for me: it was so loud in the background that I could hardly understand the person I was talking to (who also barely spoke German). After I had struggled to give the date and time, the phone was simply hung up. I then called a second time to express my desire for a quiet table. The person I spoke to told me in annoyance that they didn't have anything like that because it was always full... My impression: The restaurant seems to be doing very well. There seems to be little or no interest in new guests.

Yesterday with 14 people in the restaurant: Selected dishes a la carte Tasty and reasonably priced, service competent and very friendly, portions quite generous, everything served quickly without long waiting times, 5 stars without reservations! There would be a sixth star for the unusually appreciative and friendly treatment of the 3 children!

RESTAURANT An all-round successful visit to the Jammerkrug restaurant in Gladbeck. Right at the beginning we were served olives, pepperoni and fresh bread - a nice gesture to pleasantly bridge the short waiting time for the main course. I ordered a 250g rump steak and was thrilled: cooked to perfection, tasted excellent and was of high quality. The service was extremely courteous and friendly, attentive without being intrusive - exactly as you would expect. The ambience was also convincing: cozy and inviting. Conclusion: I would definitely like to come back. Absolute recommendation for connoisseurs!

I ordered a schnitzel with hunter's sauce, but I have to say that I've had better ones. Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely impressed with the taste. I was really impressed by the fresh salad bar - everything was very fresh, varied and attractively prepared. I would also particularly like to highlight the friendly and courteous staff, who made the stay very pleasant. Next time I visit I will definitely try a different dish and look forward to trying out the other dishes!

I was there for work, and the hotel was good for that. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. However, the flaking paint on the walls could use a painter. The breakfast was also okay. Unfortunately, the radiators in my room were turned off when I arrived. And with the low temperatures, it took a day for it to warm up. I was freezing the first night.

The fish, asparagus, and potatoes with three sauces were good, as was the apple spritzer. Relatively quiet and comfortable—"you can't really complain." Next visit: The salmon was dry, the apple spritzer was watery, and the side dish, "buttered rice," was hard and absolutely tasteless. Truly disappointing compared to the first visit.

Delicious food. With a large salad roll, pepperoni olives included in the price.

Unfortunately there is no good review from me today. I expect that when you pay €21 for a cordon bleu that it is not prepared in the deep fryer. The same with the fried potatoes. They were cut super thick, probably so they wouldn't fall apart in the deep fryer.

Nice restaurant on the outer edge of the city center. Parking spaces are available in the area, but not free during the day or with a parking disc. Parking is free in the evenings.

We had dinner there last night at 8 p.m. for Christmas Day. The Jammerkrug platter was ordered for 4 people (€90). We were extremely disappointed, the fries were probably fried warm again, they were very dark and it was not possible to pick them up with a fork because they were just too hard. Upon request, we received a small salad bowl with fresh fries for 1 person. The meat was dry and sometimes over-seasoned. We really felt like we got leftovers from previous guests. That was truly the worst restaurant visit that has ever happened to me. You want to eat and go out with your loved ones at Christmas and it was so bad. It's a disgrace how you can expect your guests to eat like that. A photo of the plate was uploaded to Google.... Anyone can get an impression of it.

The atmosphere is very nice, the waitresses are very polite and there is a lot of choice of food, we always like to come back.

We stayed overnight in the hotel and ate in the restaurant in the evening. Both are recommendations. The staff is friendly and uncomplicated, the rooms are clean, cozy and quiet and the food is very tasty. The salad bar is nice and fresh. There's a lot going on in the restaurant, the atmosphere is good!

The grill plate is absolutely delicious... we were there 4 weeks ago... very tasty as always, but I really have to say, the gentleman at the checkout was very unfriendly... I think I shouldn't have asked ....in the end he left a 10 euro tip.....we were a bit shocked....but maybe he was just having a bad day.....

We stayed there overnight. Very friendly staff, the keys were even given to us earlier because we were there in connection with the movie park. This is also only 7 km away. Rooms are clean and the breakfast was great.

Waren am 3 Oktober da,dasEssen war gut,wurden aber direkt an einen anderen Tisch gebeten weil es angeblich besser für unseren Hund wäre.Der Tisch war neben der Toilette,so dass 1000 Leute vorbeigegangen sind.Dann wurden wir gefragt, ob es noch etwas sein darf.Ich hatte mein Glas noch halb voll,worauf wir mit nein antworteten.Dann wurden wir sofort gefragt ob wir bezahlen könnten,weil der Tisch gebraucht würde.Ein glatter Rausschmiss.Nie wieder.

Das war heute leider nichts. Lange Wartezeit auf das Essen und auf die Rechnung. Das Salatblatt unter den Oliven und Peperoni hat auch schon bessere Zeiten gehabt. Das hätten selbst unsere Kaninchen nicht mehr gefressen. Die Deko-Orangen auf dem Teller sahen auch so aus, als ob die schon vor Tagen vorbereitet wurden. Leider kam das Cordon-Bleu aus der Fritteuse… Das war wohl unser letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

I can only give very positive reviews about the restaurant in the hotel alone. It is possible to get a place spontaneously. Food is prepared very quickly. No long waiting times. Staff very polite. The food was very tasty and you can of course have any leftover food packed up. Price performance is very good. Great experience.

The visit to the restaurant was an overall successful evening. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, very good food at good prices. It should also be mentioned that you can put everything together yourself at the salad bar, there is a free starter and a Julischka to digest .Although all the tables were occupied, we didn't have to wait longer than half an hour for our food. Finally, it should be mentioned that this restaurant also has a hotel and a small beer garden....This restaurant deserves 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟, because it is run by familiar tradition...and the guest feels this 🥰

Wanted to eat something briefly. Steak with chanterelles, fried potatoes and salad from the buffet. 14.90 or so with bread, olives and peppers beforehand and digestively. Super friendly, super fast.

We were only there to eat. The dishes were very tasty. Very cozy place. Service excellent.

I cannot comment on the restaurant as I didn't eat there apart from the breakfast.. I stayed 2 nights in one of the rooms that I didn't book. I booked two deluxe rooms and when I checked in I was given an alternative room, which I had no choice but to accept. The room was ok, spacious, clean bathroom. The bed linen wasn't clean (hairs) and the mattress needs replacing desperately as it has a massive dip and you will sink. Also, the towels need replacing, they are very old and stained. On a positive note, the shower pressure was really powerful. There is also a foul smell coming out of the drain when you run the shower, very unpleasant. I found it very overpriced considering that we didn't sleep well due to the beds being knackered. I also messaged the staff with a query but they did not bother to reply. I wasn't keen on the breakfast as mainly cold meats, bread and a boiled egg. No fresh fruit or dairy free milk alternative. The orange juice is from concentrate and the coffee very watered down. I would not recommend this hotel.

Gastronomic Champions League. Unbeatable quality at even unbeatable prices. Absolutely professional gastro family that runs this restaurant, very hospitable, super fast, super tasty, they have mastered their craft and their daily work at a high level really perfectly and have certainly been doing so for what feels like 70 years. Something like that deserves admiration and respect! Stay as you are.
