Hotel, Restaurant & Camping "Bauer Keller" Greding in Greding

Several years ago, we first came across Bauer Keller because of the campsite for an overnight stay. Everything is always spotlessly clean, dogs are welcome. The rooms are great. Prices are moderate. The food is always delicious and hearty, yet also contemporary.

Always good for a stopover on the way to Croatia.

We stopped here as a stopover on our campsite and ate in the restaurant. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and we received excellent service. The restrooms could be a bit bigger, but otherwise it was very good.

It is a perfectly ok parking space but it is cramped. Clean toilets, you have to pay extra for the shower. The restaurant had good food and friendly staff.

I searched for it for half an hour in vain. It no longer exists.

The hotel, restaurant, and campsite are within easy reach of the highway. Camping: Sanitation and electricity are all available. €16.50 without electricity is a very good price. The restaurant: The food was very good and the service exceptionally friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Both are highly recommended for those passing through.

We stayed at the Hotel Bauer-Keller from September 8th to 9th, 2023, for a stopover on the way home from Croatia. After about 11 hours of traffic, we were greeted with a friendly smile (just what I needed). After a quick check-in (I had a reservation), and it was already getting late, the friendly young man asked if we wanted to eat, as the kitchen was closing in a quarter of an hour. We sat down and were served by a very friendly, welcoming, and positive waitress. The beer was delicious and refreshing, and the food was freshly prepared, plentiful, and also very tasty. After a night in comfortable beds and a shower in clean, well-maintained rooms, we started our journey home after a good breakfast with delicious coffee. Update.... We've now returned to the Bauer Keller for the third year in a row, and just like the years before, it's simply top-notch for us: an oasis off the highway to recharge our batteries. Great restaurant with traditional cuisine. As usual, hearty, yet always fresh and, above all, delicious. I especially like that the dishes (as per the menu) are sourced locally. Fantastic.

We stopped there for one night in our T4 while passing through. Everything you need is available, and the price is very fair at €16.50. There are clean restrooms and a washing area, as well as several showers. The attached restaurant is very good. We had trout with almond butter and a schnitzel. Both were generous portions and very tasty. In the morning, we picked up some rolls from the bakery in Greding. The town is also worth a stroll! Highly recommended for a stopover.

Great transit point. Unfortunately, the otherwise excellent food has declined. We think that's a real shame. Nevertheless, we'd happily come back for a break. Unfortunately, we won't be eating. 🤷

Good transit campsite. We arrived around 7:00 PM on our way from the Netherlands to Croatia. There was a sign at the beginning of the road saying they were full, but since we had a tent and no campervan, we drove on anyway and asked if we could get a spot for the night (you can't reserve). We received a friendly welcome and were able to pitch our tent somewhere! We ate in the restaurant, which was very good. The service was good, and the food was excellent value for money (we had schnitzel and pasta). It does feel a bit like a huge parking lot (campers are lined up in rows), but we didn't expect much from a transit campsite. It was also reasonably priced. It was mostly gravel, so it was a bit tricky with tent pegs, but that was manageable. The showers were hot (50 cents for a few minutes). In the morning, almost everyone had left before 8:00 AM. The slope to the second row of campervans was a challenge for some campervans. We had to be off the grounds by 10 a.m., but we could charge our car a little further down the road in the village. Monday is a rest day, and they're closed.

I can't comment on the rooms; we were here in our RV. The restaurant isn't cheap, but it's reasonably priced. The food is really good, the quality is excellent, and the staff is quick and attentive. So I'll accept prices above the usual beer garden level without complaining. 👍🏻

Super friendly staff and a great breakfast. The rooms were clean, but everything was very run-down, and the fixtures were very old and worn. They need some investment. Overall, the hotel is still highly recommended!

I've been here dozens of times, now again in September 24th. It's nice and easy, and I can get back on the road early for the next day's trip. It's a great restaurant with delicious Bavarian dishes. I've been here twice now, again in July 2022.

Great transit spot at a fair price. Well organized and clean. The restaurant is fantastic, with very tasty food and also at fair prices. Everyone in the service is extremely friendly. The proximity to the highway is very good, so it's natural to hear it. If you're sensitive to that, you'll have to stay somewhere else. We think the overall package is great; there should be more of it.

We visited on our way to the resort, as we do every year, and as always, we felt at home. Great location Great food Great service And anyone complaining about there being only two restrooms should visit the restrooms in the restaurant. Because you can easily go there too. We'll stop by again on our way back.

We arrived at the campsite with our motorhome and were given excellent instructions right away. €16.50 per night including electricity. Showers cost 50 cents. Ideal for dogs, so we immediately took them for a walk in the adjacent forest with its many hiking trails. The highway is barely audible.

We're passing through there twice with our caravan on our way to Croatia. Once outward and once back. The overnight pitch is inexpensive for €24.50 with electricity. We will recommend the site and will be back. The site deserves 5 stars. The food in the restaurant is also okay. One star deducted for the restaurant. When it's too busy, the staff sits strangers at our table.

We've been coming here on Mondays for years and eat at the restaurant, which is always excellent. In the mornings, we also have breakfast at the hotel. We're parked in the caravan park. We walked over, and the restaurant is now closed on Mondays, and the hotel isn't open for breakfast or fresh rolls on Tuesday mornings either.

Camping for 1 night if you are on your way to your final destination + restaurant

Great overnight stay at the campsite. Showers cost 50 cents for 3 minutes. Unfortunately, I had cold water in the evening and didn't take the first shower because it didn't have a pleasant spray. What was nice, though, is that when you turn off the tap, the timer also stops! But with cold water, a 2-minute shower was enough. A friendly young man helped us find a spot under the plum and apple trees, and even our son found a lovely spot on the grass in front of his tent by the camper.

We spent the night there at the parking lot with an electrical hookup. It's an ideal transit location because you can leave whenever you want.

We stopped there on the way back from Croatia. It's a great place, and everything is reasonably priced. I would like to point out a few minor issues, though. For example, it would be nice if there were more than two restrooms for men. After waiting 20 minutes for one to become available, I had to use the apartments for the first time. Otherwise, the food there is really delicious. The site is right off the highway, and there are two gas stations right after you exit. We'd be happy to come back on our next trip.

The hotel and restaurant are excellent. The campsite is only for passing through. Line up and go. Perfect for passing through, even when fully booked.

It would be great if, for €20.50 per night for 2 people, there was also light in the shower and toilet, even during the day, as there isn't enough daylight here.

Beautiful transit campsite. Despite the crowds, we still managed to find a spot. Excellent sanitary facilities and delicious food in the restaurant.

Easy-to-use transit camping, delicious food in the restaurant, dog-friendly, dog-walking trail in the forest, good restrooms, good value for money. Cons: only 3 restrooms, very crowded during peak season, so don't arrive too late.

In mid-June of this year, my wife and I stayed at the hotel for one night. The beds were terrible. We slept on bedsprings. We couldn't sleep because of the pain. It was assault. When I was paying in the morning, I reported this to the receptionist. This lady said we should have ordered a topper for the bed. I've never heard of such a thing in my life. Soon they'll be saying we have to order bed frames for an overnight stay. I expressed my displeasure. I received a response from the manager. I'm still waiting for it to this day. I can't recommend this hotel!!!!!!!!

After reading the positive reactions, we also put it to the test. Everything is parked in a train formation behind each other with a maximum space of 1.5 meters. At the time we were there (not high season), there were already more than 100 caravans and campers. Then 2 showers are really too few. You cannot reserve the restaurant (they say). On arrival, no one from the restaurant is willing to help. You have to figure it out for yourself. Several tables were therefore reserved. For us a one-time visit.

We stayed overnight in our motorhome. We found exactly what we were looking for: an easy-to-access parking space, friendly directions and information boards, a beer garden with good food and tasty beer, and clean restrooms. Overall, very friendly service!

This is our first stop on the way to Croatia. It's really okay for one night. The restaurant is a bit expensive, but you don't have to go there. If you (man) want to shave, you have to do it in the shower. The taps go out after about 3-4 minutes, and there's no hot water. I'm really disappointed.

Highly recommended as a transit spot, as it's right next to the highway and everything's incredibly easy. You can park without unhooking your caravan, and that's it. Clean restrooms, and the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. We'll definitely come back here on our way to Croatia.

We've been going there for years, there and back from Croatia 🇭🇷 very nice parking space. You can stay attached. Eating in Restaurant 1a. Toilet 🚽 and showers 🚿 very clean. The parking space offers, among other things, disposal of garbage and disposal of the cassette 🚽 included in the price. Car 🚗 with WW including 2 people was €16.50 extra for electricity until last year. We don't need it anyway. Showering 🚿 €0.50 for 3-5 minutes, I don't remember exactly. Super nice team.

Great parking space for overnight stays, even for caravans. You come and go as you please from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. In rows on gravel with electricity and free toilets. Showers for €1. Everything very clean. Pay in the restaurant. 21.50) per team, two people and electricity for one night. Yes, rather noisy because it's close to the highway, there's always coming and going during the season. You can eat very well and have breakfast in the restaurant. Bread service and free WiFi. We always stop there on the way south from Hamburg. Simply place it connected and sleep.

A clear concept, professional execution simply best practice. Nobody goes on holiday for four weeks here, the operators deal with this knowledge consistently and meet the demands of campers traveling through. You drive into a huge square with several lanes. The teams are lined up one behind the other by the groundskeeper; no one has to uncouple. The question of how to get out of here in the morning is easily answered the next morning. The first ones left at 4:30 a.m. and by the time we had our first cup of coffee the place was almost empty. Back to the evening: an excellent restaurant with home-style cuisine reinforces the super good impression. The staff is very friendly, despite the extreme stress as the Csmpers all come to eat almost at the same time. A convincing concept for an overnight stay, especially for trailer drivers. Electricity available, disposal for chemical toilets and toilets and showers (very clean for operation with many people). For us, this is an excellent example of a well-thought-out concept and professional implementation.

It's easy to get to the parking space and there are more spaces than expected. However, you should get there early, reservations are not possible. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and the service was excellent. The small washhouse is also good. The price for the overnight stay (in our case €23.50 including electricity) was absolutely reasonable.

I was able to celebrate my 40th birthday here. The entire organization was perfect. The food fresh and delicious. The staff friendly. I will remember my birthday. Thanks

A top restaurant with very good food. There is also a specialization for people traveling through, whether with a car, motorhome or camping trailer. The place is ideal for an overnight stay on the way to other destinations. A line of trees shields traffic on the highway. The sanitary facilities are very clean and housed in a separate building from the housekeeping.

Great campsite for an overnight stay in transit. You can also spend the night in the hotel, the restaurant there is great. Many local dishes on the menu, and of course the real Wienerschnitzel, cut from the top of the veal ♥️ We have been coming here for many years and it never disappoints.

We were traveling in a motorhome and camped there for one night. On-site power supply. Sanitary facilities without complaints. Chemical toilet disposal also available. All in all, highly recommended. We also visited the restaurant. Food also good and plentiful. We'd love to come back. 😁

We stayed at the hotel for one night while passing through. The rooms are very good. The food in the restaurant was great and left nothing to be desired, and the breakfast buffet also lacked nothing. The staff also deserve high praise.

We stayed here for 1 night with the camper. You cannot fill water with a hose at the "campsite". Also no possibility to discharge gray water. Strange that it is more expensive every year while nothing has changed. As a car with a caravan (what length or how many axles) you pay € 16.50. Camper €16.50 with trailer, €3 extra per axle must be paid. Very strange sum. If you then ask why this is the case, you will receive the answer that we will send the "chef". Didn't see anyone during our stay! Showering is €0.50 and so is hot water for washing up.

Strategic stopping point between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt. Very convenient access, perfect services and excellent restaurant. The staff is extremely kind. What you always hope to find!

We stayed overnight there in September 2023.. everything was great room 😃. We were now passing through with the caravan.. were there very early.. everything was well organized. Later the place got really full 😃. I was thrilled with the shower, toilet and super clean.. Restaurant everyone was very friendly and everything was very good 🥰 I would recommend it
