This was my second stay at the hotel this year, and once again I was very satisfied. The comfortable double rooms are very spacious and have a bright, large bathroom and access to the garden. Each room has a small table with two chairs, both inside and out. We enjoyed the afternoon sun when the weather was nice. Our hosts (the hotel has been family-owned for generations) were very attentive. As soon as we arrived in the breakfast room, our coffee and tea were brought to us, and every individual request was noted for the rest of the week. The hotel offers dinner every day, and the predominantly regional dishes were of a high standard, both in terms of quality and quantity. Even when we ate elsewhere, we were warmly welcomed for a nightcap. We would then end the evening with a couple of card games. Towels were changed every three days, and bed linens every six days. The hotel is located almost on the edge of town, and you can immediately set off on hikes in the surrounding area. The trails are very well marked and easily manageable for city dwellers. There are also rooms available for dog owners.

We had the comfort room overlooking the garden with a lovely lawn, but unfortunately no sun loungers. The room was spacious, but could use some updating. The bathroom was also a good size. On the terrace, you sit too close to the neighbors; some kind of partition, like a flowerpot for privacy, would be helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel no longer offers coffee and cake, but Schmitt's Cafe is a very good alternative.

We were there with 9 people and a motorcycle. We received a very friendly 😊 welcome and felt very comfortable. The food was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful and good. There was something for every taste. We were completely thrilled 🤩 Thank you very much ♥

A cozy, quiet hotel with very good cuisine, even special requests are no problem. The boss and the staff are very friendly and always helpful. Always my pleasure!!

Rooms are quite different, unfortunately the heating didn't work, which is a bit awkward, especially in the bathroom, but the staff is super nice and the breakfast is great!

Zumindest unsere ruhig gelegenen (Einzel)Zimmer waren einfach gehalten aber ausreichend als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Touren in die Rhön. Wirt und Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Frühstücksbuffet und Abendessen jeweils sehr lecker! Kostenloser und guter Internetempfang. Sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Danke!

Wir waren ne 4er Motorrad Gruppe mit 4 EZ. Einfach- aber sauber. Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, reichlich, und alles da (ausser Original NUTELLA:-) , auch das Abendessen war abwechslungsreich und sehr gut. Unterstellplatz für Motorräder war auch gegeben.

Schönes Hotel, saubere Zimmer, gutes Essen, super nettes Personal, wir kommen gerne wieder. Man hat vom Standort aus viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit angenehm ruhiger Lage. Leckeres Frühstück und guten Speisen im Gastraum. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt zu vielen Ausflugszielen in der Rhön wie Wasserkuppe und Kreuzberg. Natürlich sind auch vom Hotel aus viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in Ostheim vor der Rhön zu Fuß zu erreichen. Netter Service und saubere Zimmer.

Kleines ruhiges Hotel mit familiärer Atmosphäre, hier wird man vom Eigentümer noch selbst betreut. Solide deutsche Küche, Frühstücksbüffet ließ keine Wünsche offen.Die Zimmerausstattungen befindet sich nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand, aber alles in Ordnung und sehr sauber. Schön großes Bad mit wirklich großzügiger Dusche. Wir haben die Lage im Länderdreieck Bayern, Hessen und Thüringen genutzt, um die schöne landschaftliche Region der Rhön in allen Himmelsrichtungen zu erkunden. Wir können dieses Hotel für alle die empfehlen, die Erholung in der Natur suchen und auf Schickimicki verzichten können / wollen. Vielen Dank! Familie Ehlert

Sehr leckeres und ausreichendes Essen. Ging alles sehr schnell und die Bedienung war wie immer sehr freundlich!! Jederzeit wieder :)
