Ich hatte das EZ 7. Leider gar nicht zu empfehlen. Es liegt direkt über der Kühlanlage der Metzgerei und läuft die ganze Nacht. Sehr laut. Sauberkeit und Ausstattung sind i.O.

Sehr gute Bayerische Küche, preislich nicht schlagbar, sehr gutes und reichliches Essen, netter zuvorkommender Service, sehr schönes uriges bayerisches Ambiente, kleiner Biergarten vorhanden, wer gut und günstig und frisch Essen möchte ist hier richtig!

Unsere Bewertung von 3 Tage Aufenthalt entsprach voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen.Tolle Lage. Küche alles super Frisch und sehr lecker. Frühstück ebenfalls alles frisch Reichhaltig und sehr sauber in der Auslage. Das Personal allesamt flott sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In unseren Zimmern könnten die Sanitärarmaturen mal erneuert werden. In einem wurde vermutlich Kalt und Warm vom Installateur vertauscht. Trotzdem jederzeit gerne wieder !

ich kann die guten Bewertungen leider nicht nachvollziehen. Wir hatten den Zwiebelrostbraten. Dazu gab es lauwarme Fertigspätzle und TK Gemüse mit hartem Käse darüber. Meine Freundin hatte ein Haar in den Spätzle. Die Kellerin hat sich nur auf Nachfrage nach draußen bewegt. Zum Bezahlen musste ich selbst aktiv ins Restaurant.

Schweinebraten, Knödel und Kartoffelsalat waren allesamt fantastisch! Die liebe Pauline war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und ließ kaum auf sich warten. Gerne wieder!😋

Das Hotel liegt günstig in der Ortsmitte Leider gibt es hier nullkommanull Gastfreundlichkeit. Wir hatten das Hotel direkt gebucht und angeschrieben, da wir mit E Auto angereist sind und da muss man in Deutschland leider etwas vorausplanen. Was soll ich sagen; keine Antwort ob es Lademöglichkeiten am Haus gibt. Vor Ort beim CheckIn kein „Herzlich willkommen“ oder Ähnliches. Meine nochmalige Nachfrage zu einer Lademöglichkeiten am Haus, gan es die Antwort „ich habe kein E Auto, deshalb interessiert es mich nicht“ What?! Das war’s ??? Na da fühlten wir uns dann richtig willkommen 🙄 Wer dann am Abend nich was trinken möchte, geht leer aus. Keine Minibar, kein Getränkeschrank/ Automat … Nichts! Samstag Abend ist alles geschlossen, auch die Gaststube! Info vorab dazu ..?! Null! Wer mal einfach nur eine Übernachtung braucht, ok …. Aber erwartet keine Freundlichkeiten oder gar „Gastfreundschaft“ Die findet ihr hier sicher nicht! PS Essen war gut bürgerlich, Preise ok

Heute das erstmal beim Boarn zum Essen gewesen. Bin normalerweise ein guter Esser. Also heute ne Suppe, Salatteller und das Rinderfilet mit Gemüse und Kroketten. Suppe heiß und lecker. Salatteller groß reichlich Auswahl und gut abgeschmeckt. Dann die böse Überraschung. Es kommt das Hauptessen. Ein riesen Teller min. 250g Rinderfilet viel Gemüse und Kroketten. Das Fleisch super Medium gebraten und sowas von Butterzart. Das Steakmesser braucht man nicht. 2 Gabeln reichen 😁. Ich hab tatsächlich aufgeben müssen. Komme auf jedenfall gerne wieder hier her zurück

Es ist ein wunderschönes altes Gebäude, was allerdings bedeutet, dass man wegen des knarrenden Bodens nicht leise gehen kann. Ansonsten ist aber alles super. Sauberes Zimmer, freundliches Personal, Fahrradabstellraum, hervorragendes Frühstück!

Ein einfaches Gasthaus mit guten Zimmern und sehr günstigen und sehr leckerem Essen. Einmalig da die Metzgerei direkt im Haus ist. Leider war der Service zu schnell. Die Suppe war kaum gegessen, da stand das Hauptgericht schon auf dem Tisch. Das war unnötige Hektik. Schade.

War nur im Gasthaus schmeckt super und ist günstig

Am Dienstag den 17.3.26 war ich gegen 11:00 Uhr zum Mittagessen im Lokal. Zuerst mal großes Lob an den Service und an die Küche! Ich wurde sehr herzlich und freundlich vom Servicepersonal empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und es gab nichts auszusetzen. Desweiteren hab ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt, auf das Essen musste ich nicht lange warten und die Dame im Service ging steht's auf meine Wünsche ein, also kurz gesagt, "ich wurde bestens versorgt". Leider wurde die positive Atmosphäre etwas getrübt, da ich ungewollt ein Gespräch mit anhören konnte. Beteiligt daran waren ein Handwerker, die freundliche Dame aus dem Service und wie ich heraus hören konnte, die sogenannte "Hotelchefin". Ich saß am Tisch Nr. 11, also nicht weit weg vom Geschehen und da es mich sehr beschäftigt, muss ich meine Erfahrung diesbezüglich heute loswerden. Das Gespräch handelte wohl von Waschamaturen/Sieben/Filter die entkalkt werden mussten wegen Kalkablagerungen bzw regelmäßiger Wartung. Für die "Hotelchefin" war wohl undenkbar, dass man diese Armaturen ganz einfach entkalken kann und forderte den Handwerker auf bzw. wies Ihn darauf hin diese alle zu tauschen, worauf der Handwerker sie darauf hingewiesen hat, das wäre sehr kostenintensiv und in diesem Fall nicht notwendig, das entkalken ist die vernünftigste Lösung (würde Kosten und Material sparen). Die Dame aus dem Service hat sich sehr freundlich am Gespräch beteiligt und ergänze dazu, es wäre nur ca. 15 min Zeitaufwand um die Armaturen einzuweichen und schon sind bzw bekommt man diese problemlos sauber (das kennen wir ja alle von Zuhause) und wäre viel nachhaltiger. Daraufhin verließ die "Hotelchefin" mit dem Handwerker das Lokal. Nach ein paar Minuten kam die "Hotelchefin" wieder und attackierte die Dame aus dem Service verbal und sehr von oben herab. Das war der Moment an dem ich mich sehr unwohl fühlte! Die "Hotelchefin" griff die Dame aus dem Service an, was ihr denn einfalle sich in dieses Gespräch einzumischen, sich zu äußern, oder überhaupt eine Meinung dazu zu haben, da sie nur Aushilfe ist und ihr als "Chefin" nichts zu sagen habe. Sie wäre respektlos, beleidigend und wäre auf Grund Ihrer Stellung, nicht berechtigt sich dazu zu äußern. Eine Art und Weise die für mich gar nicht geht und sehr unangenehm war, da Sie als "Chefin" von oben herab und sehr respektlos agiert hat. Die Servicekraft blieb professionell ruhig und meinte nur, man müsste darüber keine Diskussion führen, sie würde nur gerne einfach ihrer Arbeit weiter nachgehen und beendete das Gespräch. Aus meiner Sicht völlig richtig, denn ich würde mit mir auch nicht so reden lassen ! Zwar mit zitternden Händen und ein wenig mitgenommen, kam sie zu mir an den Tisch und kümmerte sich um mein Wohl. Aus eigener Erfahrung weiß ich wie wichtig ein harmonisches Betriebsklima ist und wie wichtig es ist Differenzen niemals vor Kundschaft auszutragen! Ich war RICHTIG SCHOCKIERT wie man als sogenannte "Chefin" so mit Personal umgehen und von oben herab reden kann und das noch in Anwesenheit von Kundschaft. Es tat mir richtig leid, wie mit der Dame aus dem Service umgegangen wurde und wie man merken musste das sie das beschäftigt hat, denn es war ganz klar nichts verwerfliches an Ihrem Verhalten, hat sich nicht ausfällig geäußert, noch war sie in irgendeiner Weise respektlos! Da mir die gute Küche und das überaus freundliche Personal bis dato immer sehr zugesagt hat (Sterne-Bewertung 5), werde ich auch weiterhin ihr Lokal besuchen, allerdings mit der Hoffnung nicht nochmal mit Ihrer "Hotelchefin" konfrontiert zu werden.

Waren dort nur zum Essen. Das Essen verdient absolut 5 Sterne. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Es war mal gut, jetzt kann man das überhaupt nicht behaupten. Käse wird einfach über die Spätzle gemacht und anschließend wohl kurz in Mikrowelle. Mit Kässpatzen hier in Bayern eine Schande.Die Gurken mit Sicherheit vom Vortag. Waren früher hier oft beim Essen, jetzt ist es leider ungenießbar. Haben es noch 2 weitere Male probiert und immer das gleiche. Kann ich leider nicht mehr weiterempfehlen. Bei der Tischreservierung ist man schon am Telefon frech, geht ja mal überhaupt nicht. Schade, wir sind enttäuscht. Metzgerei gehe ich sowieso noch nie, da jede Wurst Sorte wohl in Knoblauch getränkt ist. Ein Bekannter war mal im Hotel das war auch ekelhaft 🤢 das Zimmer. Ihm hat es geekelt

So ein echter Zufallsglücksgriff! Nach dem Besuch im ortsansässigen großen Gartencenter meldete sich der Hunger deutlich zu Wort. Da wir aus dem Oberallgäu kommen und kulinarisch nicht ganz unverwöhnt sind, fanden wir die Idee spannend, mal wieder „auf gut Glück“ essen zu gehen. Und genau das hatten wir: Glück. Nach einem kurzen Bummel durch die Altstadt kamen wir an der Metzgerei Stöckle vorbei – mit dem verheißungsvollen Hinweis auf den Gasthof „Zum Boarn“. Allein das lässt das Herz schon ein wenig schneller schlagen: Gasthaus mit hauseigener Metzgerei – mehr braucht es eigentlich nicht, um Erwartungen zu wecken. Nachdem wir den Eingang zum Gasthof und Hotel gefunden und die schwere Holztüre zum Gastraum geöffnet hatten, folgte die nächste positive Überraschung: Was für eine schöne Gaststube! Endlich einmal kein stilistisch hochgepimptes, möchtegern-modern-traditionelles Einrichtungskonzept, sondern ein gemütlicher, durch viel Holz geprägter Gastraum – ganz ohne Starallüren. Die hohe Decke fiel sofort auf, doch dazu später mehr. Wir wurden von einer sehr freundlichen Service-Mitarbeiterin zu unserem Tisch geführt und bekamen erst einmal das, was heutzutage fast schon Luxus ist: Zeit. Zeit zum Hinsetzen, Ankommen und „Einrichten“. Kein hektisches „Was darf ich Ihnen zu trinken bringen?“ nach fünf Sekunden – so muss das sein. Anschließend kam die Speisekarte, und auch hier durften wir ganz entspannt wählen. Die Karte ist angenehm überschaubar, aber absolut ausreichend – hier sollte jeder fündig werden. Wir entschieden uns für ein 3-Gänge-Menü: Suppe, Hauptgang und Dessert. Spannend war nur: Man wusste noch nicht so recht, was einen erwartet. Die Leberknödelsuppe war dann gleich ein Volltreffer. Eine kräftige, ehrliche Fleischbrühe mit selbstgemachten Leberknödeln und Backerbsen – klassisch, sauber und geschmacklich eine glatte Eins. Nach etwa 20 Minuten – genau richtig – kam der Hauptgang. Für mich: Rehgulasch mit Spätzle, genauer gesagt Knöpfle. Wie gesagt: Wir kommen aus dem Allgäu, und mit langen Spätzle haben wir es nicht so 😉 Schon der Anblick war sensationell – nicht wegen der Menge, sondern wegen des sichtbaren Handwerks. Eine wunderschön glänzende Sauce, der man sofort ansah, dass hier weder Pülverchen noch Fertigprodukte im Spiel waren, sondern Zeit, Können und Geduld. Butterzartes Fleisch, fluffige Knöpfle, die die Sauce perfekt aufgenommen haben – geschmacklich wieder eine klare Eins. Mit jeder Gabel wuchs die Freude, diese Perle entdeckt zu haben. Endlich wieder gute, ehrliche bürgerliche Küche ohne Schnickschnack. Bodenständig, anständig und genau so, wie man es sich wünscht. Selbst die krause Petersilie mit ihrem leicht oldschool Touch passte perfekt – charmant statt peinlich. Die Portion? Für uns schlicht nicht zu bewältigen. Satt, zufrieden und glücklich saßen wir noch am Tisch, als die Service-Dame kam und fragte, ob es geschmeckt habe. Unser Lob kam von Herzen. Dann die Frage nach dem Dessert – und wann es serviert werden dürfe. Großes Gelächter am Tisch: Das Dessert hatten wir komplett verdrängt. Die Servicekraft reagierte großartig und bot sogar ein Doggybag für Dessert und Reste an. Das lehnten wir dankend ab – wir waren mehr als zufrieden. Kurz darauf bezahlten wir (Viel zu Günstig) und hatten noch einen netten Tratsch mit der Service-Dame, die ihren Job nicht nur freundlich, sondern auch sehr professionell machte. Man merkte sofort: Das ist keine aufgesetzte Freundlichkeit. Wer seit 14 Jahren im selben Betrieb arbeitet, macht das entweder aus Überzeugung – oder gar nicht. Und hier war es eindeutig Ersteres. Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn: Ein toller Gasthof, bei dem einfach alles stimmt. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und kommen ganz sicher wieder. Ach ja – die hohe Decke? Laut Rain-am-Lech-Geschichte war das Gebäude früher einmal eine Brauerei. Wieder was gelernt. 🍺

The butcher shop is downstairs, and the restaurant is behind it. It couldn't be more convenient. And the food is delicious, too.

In addition, I'd like to comment on the owner's response to my review... What a load of nonsense, or as they say in Bavaria... a load of hot air... Where on your website is there any information about opening hours? I still had hope that you could do better. A guest who complains is a good guest, because they're convinced you can do better. Now I'm not. Think about it, can you? I booked a room online for a business trip with the plan to eat at the inn in the evening. Upon arrival, no one was there. The room key was on the reception desk with a note to fill out the registration form. My name, address, and all the necessary information had already been submitted online. The inn was closed, and there was no mention of this on the website. This is extremely annoying, as there's nowhere else to eat in the area. The room and breakfast were good. I informed the reception about the lack of information regarding opening hours upon departure and was told, "I'll pass it on." Even weeks later, there is still no information about opening hours on the website. Therefore, I will refrain from booking any trips this time and for the time being.

Very good food with good prices.

We didn't stay overnight at the hotel. We were only there for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. Large portions for a reasonable price. You should definitely make a reservation, otherwise it's difficult to get a table.

We had a big birthday party today with 40 people at the restaurant. The service was first-class; everything went perfectly to our satisfaction. Drinks and food arrived quickly. Friendly staff and a big compliment to the kitchen – everything was perfect!

We had reserved a table for four people. The drinks arrived immediately. Everyone then ordered their food: two set menus and two individual dishes. The two individual dishes and our soup arrived. While our guests ate, we waited half an hour for our meal. When we asked if they had forgotten us, they said it would be right there. After another ten minutes, a small dumpling arrived with two pieces of almost completely dried-out meat, very tough, and red cabbage. We sent both back and waited another 15 minutes. Then the main course arrived. The meat was okay, but it came with potato salad, not as described in the set menu. We finally started eating, but our guests had already finished. We haven't experienced anything like this in a long time. We were very disappointed and are reconsidering whether we will ever eat there again.

We ate at the inn yesterday and ordered set menu 1. The soup arrived quickly, but after a half-hour wait, nothing more came. When I asked if a main course was coming, I only got a "yes, yes." Then the roast pork arrived with red cabbage and mini dumplings. The meat was tough and hard. So we sent everything back. After another 15 minutes, a new plate arrived, this time with roast pork, mini dumplings, and potato salad—where was the red cabbage? We asked again, and then she brought two small bowls of red cabbage. We always enjoy eating here, but we've never experienced anything like this before. What a shame.

Very good Bavarian cuisine. We ate there with our family last week because we really like this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a disaster! The service was terrible, slow, and inefficient. One of our orders wasn't taken, and we had to wait an hour before we were served. The waitress wasn't very attentive. After this long wait (which was compensated with a scoop of ice cream), the kitchen was closed, and we couldn't order any desserts. We are very disappointed by the obvious decline in the quality of service.

Great and affordable! The room furnishings are a bit dated, of course! The rooms are simple and reminiscent of the 80s, but perfectly adequate for a €43 night! The hotel has a restaurant serving wonderful dishes, some of which are sourced and prepared from their own butcher shop. I feel very well looked after here. The staff is pleasantly discreet and very friendly 👍🏼 I feel very well taken care of.

The hotel is located in the heart of town, so practically everything is within walking distance. It's still quiet. The hallways and rooms are tidy and create a rural, rustic feel. However, there aren't many technical amenities: hairdryers, televisions, and lamps. The end. In the evening, you can enjoy a good meal in the hotel's restaurant. The cuisine is typical of the region and down-to-earth. Occasionally, a dish lacks the finishing touches. My knuckle of pork wasn't as tender on the inside as I'm used to elsewhere, and the cheese in the cordon bleu was a bit watery. There's a hotel parking lot, but it fills up quickly. There are plenty of parking spaces on the street in front of the hotel, but there's a two-hour limit. All in all, recommended. I'll be back.

I spent nine days cycling this year. I enjoyed this hotel and guesthouse the most. Great price and excellent food.

The room was basic, the mattress was worn, Breakfast was excellent! The food was simply fantastic! Top-quality meat at a fair price, which is hard to beat in Tyrol!

The hotel makes a good overall impression, but in the evening, I wasn't served so well by the crowd that I decided to only give it three stars. The heavily tattooed waitresses should have been a bit nicer and more empathetic... The food wasn't impressive either, to be honest. If someone offers a steak, they should be able to cook it. And then there was that ketchup packet... Dear God!!! Am I in a snack bar or a restaurant?! What I got was more than a mistake... A plus goes to a great breakfast, very good and cleanly served.

Exactly what you'd expect from a traditional Bavarian inn. Pleasant service outside and a hearty Bavarian ambiance inside with lots of wood, just as you'd expect and authentic! The staff were super friendly, efficient, and always on top of things. The food was delicious Bavarian and well worth a visit. Everything was served quickly and beautifully presented, very tasty, and deliciously prepared. Thank you for the lovely evening!

We were there for the breakfast buffet, which was delicious and varied, and also reasonably priced. In short, I highly recommend it. I can't comment on the rooms, as I obviously didn't see them.

The cheese spaetzle here is a far cry from what one might call cheese spaetzle. It's simply spaetzle with grated cheese, briefly warmed and melted, and then topped with fried onions. That's why it's so cheap. No, I'd rather spend a bit more, but still have something decent on my plate.

The service and ambiance were good. We had the vegetable platter, and it was made entirely from frozen food. A complete no-go. The taste was correspondingly inferior. Fresh vegetables would have been great, and they're really not heavy. It doesn't need to be such a large plate. The same frozen vegetables were also on the meat dishes. You should do better!

We pre booked a table which made arriving very simple. My friend loves the food as there is a butcher next to the restaurant which supplies all the meat to the restaurant. My husband had snitzel and chips he said meat was great quality and delicious. I ordered sparzl cheese noodle( gnocchi style dumplings very small dough balls.) This was so delicious very big portion came with side salad. We ordered few different beers and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area again.

Lokal war sehr voll und wir hatten nicht reserviert. Die Freundliche Bedienung hatte uns trotzdem einen Platz gezeigt, an den Wir sitzen konnten. Getränke und Essen kam doch sehr schnell. Gute Portion und sehr gutes Essen.

Die Kürbiscreme Suppe war wie Wasser und schmeckte nach nix. Und das ist nicht übertrieben. Die Kellnerin gab mir Recht. Bezahlen musste ich Sie trotzdem. Als Ausgleich wurde mir ein Dessert angeboten. Die Rinderfiletspitzen waren sehr gut. Es ist hier immer ein auf und ab mit dem Essen. Mal ist es gut und mal echt richtig schlecht. Der gute und freundliche Service, reißt es raus.

Yes, definitely recommended. Good German cuisine and a hearty atmosphere. I can't judge the rooms, they were only there for eating. The attached butcher shop is also very good and popular. As far as I know, the meat and sausage products come from our own slaughterhouse

I was there for lunch for the first time today; we had made a reservation together with relatives. We were given separate tables that we didn't actually want, but when we pointed this out, the lady who showed us to the table responded with a grumpy "so what?" “What should I do now?” The service was quite friendly and accommodating. I ordered a roast pork with dumplings and “homemade” potato salad. I have rarely been so disappointed by such a simple dish. The meat was good, the sauce tasted like a ready-made package and the potato salad was simply not edible, which is why I left it back on the plate. Too bad. But a big compliment to the waitresses who are really welcoming.

We had a very good meal here last Sunday. We had a spacious table for four people in an adjoining room. We felt very comfortable. There were three menus with a starter, main course and dessert. The food was very good. The price was right too.

If you want to eat cheaply and well, go to Boarn. Everything is just right there. Service hardworking and nice. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy.

Nice inn whose entrance, on a side street, was a bit difficult to find. But the search was ultimately worth it. Delicious food, great beer and the waitresses were quick and super friendly.

We were there to eat, great 👍, we'll definitely come back. The price/performance ratio is right and the staff is super friendly.

I only review the restaurant, which is hidden in Baumanngasse and is the largest in the city. It is also arguably the true center of the city's social life. Very well attended both at lunchtime and in the evening, mostly by the older semesters. Here you not only eat but also entertain. The butcher's shop supplies good material that is prepared in a solid, home-made manner.

We were there for lunch, good bourgeois cuisine. But nothing special!

All in all, the stay here was good. Rooms are old, a small TV. The floor creaks. There was some mold in the cracks in the shower. The breakfast was good, food in the square in front of the hotel was also good. For the price you can't really complain.

We (4 people) came here for lunch during the week and were immediately given a very nice table right at the entrance without a reservation! Overall, we were satisfied with the food we ordered, only the vegetable plate could still have room for improvement in terms of taste and quality. Overall, the price/performance ratio is definitely good here, in contrast to most of the other places we know. The service was also great and professional. In any case, we would be happy to come back as soon as our next visit to the well-known garden center takes place.

Very good restaurant with a nice ambience and quick and friendly staff. We were there as part of a bus tour. We also looked at the town of Rain. Very nice and well-kept city. The destination of the trip was the headquarters of the Dehmer company. An absolutely recommended destination. Great park and of course flowers as far as the eye can see. I was surprised by the flamingos in the park.

Finally a great meal again at reasonable prices. For a while you couldn't eat here anymore because the food was really substandard. Now the map was reduced in size and that was successful. The food is great and affordable!

Wir waren mit Freunden beim Boarn zum Mittagessen und top zufrieden. Leckere Gerichte, Preise wirklich komplett in Ordnung und das Ambiente urig, gemütlich. Die Bedienungen waren auf Zack, hätten aber nen Ticken freundlicher sein können. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Rooms are functionally equipped. The bathroom is a bit small, the shower cubicle is very narrow. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There is enough parking space behind the hotel. If it's not lunch time, you can also get a parking space. Very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is very rich and with a large selection. Highly recommended.
