Fantastic hotel with a marvellous restaurant downstairs, easy walking distance to all the main attractions in Munich

Very good food. I don't know the room, I only ate in the restaurant.

Perfect hotel. The prices are great and the service is always with a smile. We came back a second time because it is not on the hotel. The location is excellent, 7 minutes from the main square. The hotel room has a mini bar with beers, coke and water for guest use. Refilled every day. The only downside is that it's always full and it's hard to find a free room.

I can't rate the hotel itself. But I've been on the roof terrace several times. Ideal for a nice summer day to have a drink and get a tan in the sun.

Very nice hotel in a top location. Very modernized rooms, beds you sleep like a king. Breakfast is also great and sufficient, we are very satisfied. We also got a parking space in the underground car park, but we had reserved it beforehand. Otherwise it looks difficult to find a parking space in the old town, we recommend taking the train. We will definitely book the hotel again on our next visit.

Had a tour of the German Oak today. Interesting, entertaining, informative and funny. Simply recommended. Which also applies to lunch afterwards.

This hotel is situated in the perfect spot for those wishing to be close to the historical center without being in the massive crowds or noise. The hotel, overall, is clean and has a great restaurant and roof. The rooms are spacious as well, but we had an issue with the smell in ours. We noticed when we would leave the room and return, it would smell vile. We were able to trace this to the shower drain but were never able to get rid of the smell during out stay.

Excellent everything. Great location. Excellent and helpful staff. Even had a rooftop bar and free beverages in the room that get replaced every day. Hotel staff arranged parking for 20 Euros at a secure car park around the corner and came out and got our bags from car when we couldn't get a park in the hotel's street. Very quiet too. Highly recommend.

Had dinner twice at the Hotel Deutsche Eiche restaurant per recommendation of a local who wrote a walking guide on TripAdvisor. The Schnitzel and accompanying sweet mustard is the best I've ever had. They had us wait on the rooftop bar for our table the second time we dropped in so we enjoyed the view from there in the rain (covered area).

We had the great privilege to stay at this accommodation for our first trip in Munich. The location was perfect - centrally located but didn’t feel like a tourist trap and was peaceful at night. The room was spacious, clean and was set up so thoughtfully. And don’t miss out on the rooftop bar! We can’t wait to stay again on our next trip to Munich!

Extremely nice hotel, good connection to public transport, very clean and spacious, central in Munich, breakfast inexpensive with a large selection, the same for lunch and dinner, the sauna is also large and very inspiring, staff are all very competent and friendly, everything All in all I can only recommend it

Unfortunately only old women on the roof terrace and straight people. We gays are turned away downstairs because upstairs is full. It's a shame... it used to be a nice place to get to know men, unfortunately it's no longer... Service is great, the audience is a flop

We really enjoyed our stay and greatly appreciated the tea and coffee provided. Very comfortable room with balcony. Nice layout. Close to market and main sites.

My fiancé and I were traveling across a few cities in Europe and this was by far the best hotel we stayed at. Room was very spacious, had A/C (we are texan so this was an incredible feature to find!), and of course the stocked mini fridge was a plus.

Nice community hotel. Everyone feels welcome and comfortable. New clean rooms. Good air conditioning. Room facing the street was quite loud despite the side street. Only sleep there with the windows closed... Great breakfast

I stayed with my husband and my little daughter. The hotel employees were very friendly. They even offered fresh fruit and coloring book to my kid.. the room was clean and big enough for three of us.. the mini bar was free... and the location was perfect.. so close to all sightseeings.. i will definitely recommend and stay again...

I had some drinks and something to eat outside but Ahment, the waiter was slow to serve and charged me with a drink of my friend. Poor service!

We stayed here for 1 night, with my wife and child. The location is great, we got around without using public transportation. The room was large and clean. The employees were helpful, but frankly, we didn't have much to do with them.

I only booked a medical massage, it was really very good. I can highly recommend the gentlemen, but I don't know whether names can be mentioned for data protection reasons

Very clean and spacious compared to other bathhouses I’ve been to. The system of getting drinks according to your tag and paying everything at the end is very genius so you don’t have to worry about carrying a wallet or cash.

Also good is the🍕 Monaco🍝 opposite or the🍦🍧🍨 ice cream shop to the left of it, which unfortunately closes promptly at 11 p.m., no matter how many people are still in line, then a cool white beer to calm you down in the Schanigarten German oak is exactly right, with the super nice hosts 💪Holzapfel & co🫂👍🍦🙏🥂✅

I can't say anything about the rooms and service. Since I went there to the sauna. The sauna is clean, cozy, really like loberinth. But we can figure it out. By the way, this sauna is only for LGBTI Men. So pay attention to this - :)

Dear oak team! You wrote in a previous review that extra screens were installed at reception so that the invoice could be checked. But then you also have to give the guests time to check the bill. It's all well and good to be quick, but that's not the way to deal with guests. When checking in, please take your time and don't go straight to serving the next guest and forget the shoes of the previous one. You're not allowed to ask anything; it's assumed that you know your stuff anyway. It's not a problem for me now, I've been there several times. But it doesn't hurt anyone if you ask briefly: Have you ever been with us? Same thing when checking out. No questions like: Did you like it? Or until next time... There is only the question of cash or card and when you look at your bill it comes straight back to cash or card. Relying on quick processing doesn't get you any points. I bought a block of 10 a while ago. When I bought it, I wasn't sure whether I should buy a block of 5 or 10. The decision was made quickly for me with the words: As requested, a block of 10 and everything was typed into the cash register. After a quick thought, I didn't care because I would take advantage of it anyway, but it reflects the topic exactly. It must be emphasized that this is not the case for every employee. We stayed twice this month at Hotel Deutsche Eiche (before and after a tour of Central Europe) for a total of 5 days. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful. Staff were so helpful and offered great advice and assistance. It is LGBQT friendly, but as a straight, boomer couple from the US, we could not have felt more welcomed. The roof top bar is a great place to relax and the location is an easy walk to restaurants and famous landmarks. We would definitely stay here again.

Was only here in the restaurant to watch the ESC. It's big enough, the food was good, there was roast pork, which was good and the other dishes also looked good, especially the sweet potato fries, but unfortunately it's a little more expensive. Service very nice. Unfortunately there were sound problems and not enough television or there were people standing in front of a mirror through which you could have seen the TV.

I'm already looking forward to the next visit❣️

Waren in der Sauna! Muss sagen, dass es früher sauberer war! Es riecht teilweise sehr streng! Dann waren wir im Whirlpool als wir da saßen brannten plötzlich die Augen wie Feuer! Ein Mitarbeiter kam dann und wir mussten schnell den Pool verlassen und er wurde abgesperrt! Keine Informationen was passiert ist! Die Augen brannten den ganzen restlichen Tag! Für mich war das der letzte Besuch, denn wem seine Besucher so egal sind und mit der Gesundheit grob fahrlässig umgegangen wird hat nichts anderes als solch eine Rezession verdient!

Gutes City Hotel für einen Kurztripp. Zentral, in der Nähe vom Marienplatz gelegen. Sauber und zweckmässig. Wir haben ohne Frühstück gebucht, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen.

Also wir waren gestern Samstag an der Dachterrasse, unten am Empfang und im Aufzug war ganz deutlich ein Schild zu sehen, im Anhang, dass sie um 20 Uhr zumachen und bis 19:30 bestellen kann. Und am Hotelempfang wurde uns das gleiche gesagt. Wir wollen das zweite um 19:05 bestellen und sie sagen uns, man darf ab 19 Uhr nicht mehr bestellen, weil sie um 19:30 zumachen, also eine halbe Stunde früher als das Schild meinte. Wir waren gern da also war das unangenehm. Deswegen 3 Sterne an den Service.

Fuimos a tomar algo al rooftop bar, nos avisaron en recepcion un chico muy amable que dejaban de servir a las 19,30h, además de haber un cartel al lado del ascensor donde lo indica….Subimos, pedimos la primera cerveza y fuimos a pedir a las 19,10h y nos dijeron que no se podia. Luego además vino uno de los camareros, bastante maleducado a retirarnos los vasos vacíos y a recordarnos que ya no servían y que iban a cerrar en breve. NO RECOMIENDO ESTE SITIO. Seguro los hay mejores en Munich. Por cierto: rooftop SIN VISTAS

뮌헨 관광 중심부 최적의 자리에 위치한 호텔. 위치는 매우 좋으나 객실과 승강기, 식당에서 상당한 수준의 담배 냄새가 남. 가족과 함께는 비추천.

Sauna. Ich beziehe micht mal speziell auf die Sauna. Bin jetzt zum dritten Mal hier (habe gleich eine 10er Karte gekauft). Der erste Eindruck ist sehr gut. Für eine Gaysauna sehr sauber. Hier und da einige kleine Schwachstelle, aber ist ok. Die Sauna ist auf 3 Etagen verteilt, was zwar etwas unübersichtlich ist, aber dennoch gut. Der Aussenbereich könnte etwas offener gestaltet sein, damit man genug Frischluft hat. Der Schrankschlüssel liegt schlecht am Arm. Zu locker, zu viel geklimper. Da wäre eine vernüftige Befestigung wünschenswert. Das Essen ist nicht gerade günstig und Kleinigkeiten zum Essen sucht man vergeblich. Die Currywurst mit Pommes ist leider nicht sehr gut. Liegt leider am verwendeten Fett. Der Eintrittspreis der Sauna wurde 2024 erhöht. Ich denke, da ist die Schmerzgrenze erreicht. Von der Einrichtung her wirkt alles recht modern und solide. Gut besucht und teilweise interessantes Publikum. Für mich im ganzen empfehlenswert wert, aber mit bisschen Luft nach oben.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable 😌 There are restaurants, and all sorts of nightlife, bars, clubs, that are within walking distance, a tram ride, or even an Uber or taxi away. I walk a lot, so it was no issue for my friend and I. The hotel has a restaurant at the base, the have some good food, I must say. This hotel has a men's spa towars the back, which seems very popular.

Amazing rooftop bar with panoramic views and affordable drinks (normal prices beers around €5). Open in wintertime and weather proofed but still allowing great views. Great for 4pm drinks and winter sunsets.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Essen gut und frisch. Schön auch, dass es zu den Brotzeiten frisches Brot anstatt Brezen (wie fast nur in München…) gab. Schnitzel top! Preise auch in Ordnung. Gaststätte und Hotel mit viel „Geschichte“. Service sehr aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
