An absolute taste experience! Each dish was a highlight in its own right – creative, sophisticated, and full of attention to detail. We were also delighted with the non-alcoholic accompaniments: so original, fresh, and surprising that they perfectly complemented every menu. The service was simply outstanding – attentive, warm, and with a smile that made the evening unforgettable. Here, you can feel that enjoyment is truly lived!

We were there with a group of four work colleagues. It was a warm summer evening, and we were sitting outside in the lovely outdoor setting of the Erbsenkrug. The food was, as always (I've been here several times), very good. In addition to more unusual dishes—I had roasted pigeon breast on black lentils with apricots—there were also classic dishes, like schnitzel, and salads, which my colleagues enjoyed. The Fresco Spritz to start the evening was a perfect match for the lovely evening. And the dessert, "Greetings from Bielefeld," which changes seasonally, is a dream. I was there with a guest in June, and it was served with sour milk, a rhubarb garnish, and ice cream, this time consisting of vanilla cream with orange segments and pomegranate sorbet. Not good for my waistline, but wonderful to enjoy. The staff was very friendly and looked after us in a personable and competent manner. We really enjoyed the evening.

You can eat very well here. I think it's very nice outside, and the waiters are very friendly. We've never sat inside, but it looks very cozy there too. The restrooms are very clean. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Always a highlight for us.

Highly recommended! We treated ourselves to a surprise menu, and it was absolutely perfect. From the location, the service, the wine pairing, and of course the amazing food, it was a wonderful four hours that we thoroughly enjoyed. Many thanks to the entire team! We'll be back! 🙂

We had a surprise menu with two specials from the kitchen. Everything was perfectly coordinated, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was very attentive. Overall, a successful evening; we'll definitely be back soon.

We had booked a surprise menu, which was expanded to include two greetings from the kitchen. Every single course was outstanding and exceptionally good. We had a brilliant taste experience. We booked again during the meal and the menu sequence. The reception, service and ambience were extremely friendly, approachable and customer-oriented. Rating: Absolutely recommended! I can't understand a worse review than 5 stars.

A fantastic restaurant with exceptionally good food and excellent service, especially from Tanja. Even when the place is full, she remains calm and serves with a friendly and professional attitude. Being a guest is a pleasure! The ambiance in the old half-timbered house with a garden is appealing and cozy. Reservations are recommended.

We received a very warm welcome. The menu was excellent, the individual courses harmonious, and were complemented by a welcome from the chef and a champagne sorbet. Attentive service, delicious wine: an all-round successful evening.

We have been back to the pea jug for many, many years. When we arrived we first had to make it known that we were there. There were still conversations to be had. Unfortunately the food didn't convince us. The ravioli was swimming in soup. A creamy sauce for a pasta dish looks different. I wasn't impressed by the taste of the ravioli either. So half of it remained on the plate. Unfortunately, the service staff didn't ask whether we liked it. The aperitif was simply cleared away, even though there was still something in the glass. I think €28 for a simple pasta dish is too expensive. It's a shame that the evening didn't go as we had hoped.

A recommended restaurant. The fillet of Angus beef was perfectly prepared and a delight. The crème brûlée was incredibly tasty. Definitely a recommendation for an enjoyable evening!

We can only recommend the pea jug. Every meal has a twist and is a real experience. You will always be pleasantly surprised by the culinary delights. The pea jug is simply a dream! We have been there twice and are thrilled every time. The cozy atmosphere, coupled with the excellent cuisine and the attentive service staff, makes every visit a real experience. What is particularly impressive is the diversity of the menu, which always surprises with creative and seasonal dishes - regionality and quality are very important here, just as it is described on the website. The lovingly furnished restaurant invites you to relax, and we were also impressed by the extensive wine selection. For us, the Erbsenkrug is not just a restaurant, but a place where you immediately feel welcome. We have found our absolute favorite restaurant and will definitely be back!

So inconspicuous from the outside, so wonderful from the inside. Wonderfully made the best of the old walls. The food was overall delicious and worth the price. Service impeccable and friendly. All in all, a nice few hours

We visited the cozy beer garden equipped with tables and benches in wonderful summer weather on Schnitzel Day. A cold drink that didn't have to be regional, a small bowl of homemade sauce, a plate of fried potatoes and a huge plated, breaded schnitzel on top, as well as a salad plate awaited us. The salad and the sauce stand out from the surrounding competitions, the fried potatoes are average. Little can be said about the schnitzel itself, as it was so thin or the breading was so thick that the delicious breading completely drowned out the taste of the meat. A thicker, albeit smaller, schnitzel might be a better solution here. I assume that the à la carte dishes, which you can also order on schnitzel day, are more convincing. All in all, a nice evening that we would like to repeat on a weekend.

The Erbsenkrug is located in Schildesche near the collegiate church and is the oldest restaurant in Germany. The furnishings with the partly old beams from the 18th century and the wooden furniture convey a feel-good atmosphere. The quality of chef Höptner's dishes is excellent, and the Argentinian beef fillet is particularly recommended. The service staff are very competent, friendly and accommodating. Therefore 5 stars. We will come back.

We were at the pea jug with 4 people on Saturday March 9th, 2024, as the Last Supper is currently being renovated. Everyone's starter was really good and really exceeded their expectations. The main course did not disappoint, on the contrary, everyone was very satisfied, really tasty, we spent the time with the chef and were able to follow his ideas. The dessert was also excellent, no weaknesses. The brandy from the old cherry was also special, really tasty. The innkeeper, as a very good host, had a nice chat with us and provided some interesting information about our choice of food. All in all a very successful evening, with excellent food, would be happy again.

Accommodation in an apartment,👌 The apartment is stylishly furnished. Completely in the spirit of the town center. Very comfortable and very well equipped. In addition to a coffee machine, kettle and toaster, there is a good refrigerator and a microwave. There is also enough space for the necessary rinsing. The beds are very good. With the super flat large flat screen you can sweeten a few hours in the rain. The bathroom is big enough for one person. As a couple, you have to go to the bathroom one after the other. The apartment is in a quiet location. In the middle of town. 👍We felt very comfortable and would love to come back...

Good service, courteous staff and delicious food are offered in the oldest restaurant in the city.

The food (large menu) was again very good. However, it is very surprising for a restaurant in this price range that “only” champagne can be offered as an aperitif, because for example. B. there are no ingredients in stock for a “Hugo”. Another complaint is the poor accessibility by telephone. I don't want to talk to a machine that doesn't understand my concerns! I can't understand the excuse that there was so much to do, because it definitely wasn't the case. Therefore 4 stars are still benevolent.

We'd love to go back again and again!

The five-course gourmet menu was created with imagination. Westphalian cuisine traditions are opening up to international culinary arts. Everything at a high level, which is rounded off by the attentive service. The products are regionally selected. Vegetarian gourmets get their money's worth. A recommendation for friends of fine cuisine.

Das Abendmahl war phantastisch, ich habe noch nie so edel und unglaublich lecker gegessen. Jeder dieser 7 (...oder waren es 8?) Gänge kann a-la-Card und in größerer Portion nebenan im Restaurant bestellt werden. Hat meines Erachtens mindestens einen Stern verdient. Auch die Weinbegleitung ist ein Traum. Mit perfektem Fachwissen, großartigem Charme wird der Wein nach eigenen Vorlieben ausgesucht. Das Ambiente lässt einige Wünsche offen: leider wird man für dieses wundervolle und kreative (für mich) Sterne-Menü in einem Raum separiert, der auf etwas wackeligen, zusammengeschobenen Bistrotischen ohne Tischdecken, keine gemütliche Atmosphäre aufkommen lässt. Das mag allerdings auch an unserer größeren Gruppe gelegen haben. Fantastischer Abend in toller Gesellschaft verbracht.

Wir an einem Freitagabend spontan zu Gast. Sehr freundliche souveräne Begrüßung, zügiger Service, flexibel auf die Wünsche eingehend, da wir mit Kindern da waren. Die Karte ist anregend. Maishähnchenbrust auf grünem Spargel mit Gnocchi war sehr gut. Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln vom Schwein finde ich immer ein undankbares Gericht zur Bewertung, da man ungerechterweise das Wiener Pendant im Hinterkopf hat. Charmant war die Lotterie am Ende! Warum „nur“ 4 Sterne? Das Interieur im hinteren Bereich ist arg in die Jahre gekommen und hat nach meinem Geschmack die Grenze überschritten. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und probieren im Sommer die Terrasse und weitere Gerichte der Karte aus.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Karte ist recht vielseitig, das Essen sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben Erbsenkrug durch die Aktion Gourmet Gang kennengelernt. Im Garten wurden wir dann köstlich verwöhnt. Einfach tolles Essen, tolle Weine von der Fachfrau serviert. Freuen uns auf die Herbst Aktionen.

Keine Ahnung ob die alle besoffen waren, die diesem Laden eine gute Bewertung gegeben haben, aber ich habe noch nie so unverschämt teuer bei so schlechter Leistung gegessen, in einem Laden wo urig eher abgeranzt bedeutet!!!
