Hotel: The room was nice, but not much space to open a large suitcase. The bathroom was nice and big. The location is a bit out of the city center, but easy to get to by tram. Restaurant: Delicious food and nice cold beers 😋 Good service from the staff 👍 We ate there both nights we stayed here.

We just returned from vacation, spontaneously turned off the A38 and stopped at the Hofbräuhaus Zur schönen Aussicht. A fantastic atmosphere, super-good food, and very friendly service! We were at the Hofbräuhaus today. I can honestly say I've rarely eaten so well. The catering team is attentive and always strives to fulfill every guest's wish. The food is very good. I highly recommend the Hofbräuhaus, which is why we've booked a party for 22 people in August. Small update: Yesterday was our party. We ended up with 25 guests, and I admit it was the best party I've ever hosted in a restaurant. The service team had the situation under control and brought all the dishes (3-course menu) to everyone's seats on time. The quality of the food was very good. Conclusion: I am once again completely impressed by the "Schöne Aussicht" (Beautiful View).

Disastrous stay – police, double occupancy, no refund! We stayed at the Gasthaus zur schönen Aussicht in Nordhausen from June 20th to 22nd – and what we experienced there is simply unbelievable. We had booked two rooms for two nights – everything duly confirmed. Then on Saturday evening, we got the shock: One of our rooms was suddenly occupied – by strangers! As it turned out, these were operational long-term tenants who were staying in our booked room. The whole thing culminated in a police intervention because the situation was completely unclear and unacceptable. No one from the hotel was available – neither by phone nor on site. No staff, no contact person, no response. We literally stood in the hallway, not knowing what to do. And even though we could only use one room, we had to pay in full for both. As if that weren't brazen enough, the owner subsequently asked us to delete our Google review, promising to refund the price of the affected room in return. To date (as of June 2025), no refund has been issued. Instead, radio silence. Our conclusion: – No service – No responsibility – No communication – And on top of that, an attempt to cover up negative reviews Anyone who books here should be aware that in case of problems, there is no help whatsoever – neither human nor financial. For us: never again!

We stayed in a double room for 4 days. The room was functionally furnished. The cleanliness was impeccable. The food in the restaurant left nothing to be desired and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking spaces are plentiful. Always happy to come back if needed.

While we were passing through we were looking for a place to have lunch. Without a table reservation, we were warmly welcomed, had a good, filling meal and were then able to continue our journey feeling well-invigorated.

A REALLY VERY SPECIAL HOUSE, WITH SMALL WEAKNESSES! We spent one night here and ate there in the evening. Location: 4 stars Located right on a main street. Just outside the city but easily accessible by car. A bus station is currently being built opposite. Supermarkets in the immediate vicinity. Guesthouse: 4 stars The rooms are on the first floor of the building. A steep staircase leads up. There are no elevators. The really large rooms with a great bathroom, which is really huge for this price range, make up for it. Quiet rooms despite the main street. Breakfast: 1 star None! There is nothing nearby either. There is an Edeka with a bakery in the neighborhood, but they don't offer breakfast. Only option in the city center. Parking: 2 stars The parking spaces are located along a dirt road that is not paved. To get to the rooms you have to walk around the house. The problem is that the courtyard where the entrance to the guesthouse is is not lit. It is incomprehensible that there is a corridor directly to the parking lot, but it is only open to staff. Maybe a second entrance should be made through the fence? Restaurant: 5 stars Very nice, large restaurant with a nice rustic atmosphere. Due to the great layout of the room and the tables, you don't have the feeling of a "hall". Food: 5 stars Really great cuisine! The food was really great. For not a lot of money you get a unique experience for your palate. The menu offers everything German cuisine has to offer. From spaetzle to dumplings and potatoes, there is hardly anything left to be desired. Service: 5 stars Here the owners serve themselves and you can tell. Always keep an eye on the guest. The delivery of drinks and food goes very quickly. Everything great! Conclusion: The problem with parking and the light should be solved with simple means. The stairs prevent people with walking difficulties from visiting this guesthouse. Otherwise (except the breakfast) everything here is really great. Please keep it up!

We have been here so many times and it is so beautiful, the food is of the highest quality and is always tailored to the season. It is very tasty and very freshly cooked and beautifully presented. For me, German cuisine is taking on completely new forms. The employees are super friendly and super competent and considerate. The ambience is rustic and cozy but still completely adapted to modern times! We'd love to come back!

Uncomplicated check-in. A large, clean room & therefore fair price. Parking around the corner. However, you should keep in mind that the beer garden only closes at 11 p.m. We had to leave the next day because of the flooding in Duisburg and were allowed to spontaneously cancel the overnight stay and the second overnight stay at 10 p.m. This is more than accommodating. Thank you for that!

The food was just disgusting. The schnitzel tasted sweet, the fries were rock hard and also tasted sweet, we don't even need to talk about the beer, it was very fruity and tasted like wine. If even a wine drinker says he would drink beer too, then it is shameful. If there were zero stars then I would give them those too. I don't recommend the restaurant at all.

It's been a while since I've eaten again. The service was significantly better. Waited more than 45 minutes for our food. And it tasted better too. This will probably be our last visit.

Celebrated our birthday with 50 people here. The ambience is perfect, super nice large beer garden with a playground for the kids. Food was simply delicious, as always by the way.... extra children's meals prepared separately and promptly, what more could you want. Delicious food, good draft beer. The beer garden is large and looks promising, unfortunately it was raining when I visited.

We had dinner there. First of all, you have to mention very positively that everything was very clean inside. The owners are very nice and try to make everything possible. We came there spontaneously and I had spare ribs. The coleslaw with red cabbage had an interesting taste, I don't know that. The spare ribs were super tender and fell apart. Class . For me personally it could have used more spice but that's a matter of taste. My wife had a delicious Jägerschnitzel and our little one had a children's meal with fries. Everything was very delicious. I think the price of the food is very cheap. The spareribs and the Jägerschnitzel were just over €20. You can't get that for the price here in the south for a long time. Thank you for the nice dinner, we'll stop by again when we're in the area again.

German cuisine, a great beer garden in summer. As far as I know, not a hotel.

The rooms are a bit noisy but well furnished. Unfortunately no breakfast is offered!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. 👍🏻 The change in image from almost exclusively Bavarian cuisine to German cuisine is doing the restaurant very well, in my opinion. I like both the menu and the restaurant itself better this way. But you don't have to go without the good Hofbräu beer, it's still available. 🍺🍻 The service was extremely friendly and accommodating! 👍🏻 There is a brunch buffet every first Sunday of the month. Today there was e.g. E.g. goose legs, roast roast, pork steak, bratwurst pan, scrambled eggs, various side dishes, salad, smoked salmon, tomato mozzarella 🍅, fruit 🍉🍓, cakes, various mueslis, ... (see photos of the brunch buffet). 💡 Note: The price of the brunch buffet includes sparkling wine 🥂, orange juice 🍊 and also coffee ☕️! CONCLUSION: Overall, we enjoyed and enjoyed it. We also found the selection at the brunch buffet good and completely sufficient for us. We'd love to stop by again. 😊👍🏻 💡 Tip: In summer you can also sit outside in the beer garden. We already sat there at the former Greek restaurant and even when it was still Bavarian cuisine.
