We reserved a long-term table for 7 people, and at the agreed time we were assigned a round table inside, where 6 people could eat in peace with some effort. When we asked the waitress that this table wasn't enough, she simply told us we could look for a table outside and disappeared, never to be seen again. I've never been treated so harshly in the restaurant industry. We then found another upscale restaurant where there was no problem finding a table for 7 people even without a reservation and we were welcomed with open arms. We will avoid this restaurant in the future and certainly cannot recommend it to friends and business partners. It certainly won't interest anyone in charge, since most of the customers are tourists anyway and won't be regular customers...

Not so great for larger groups. I was there for 2 hours. I have 1 fl. Get water and 1 food. Kl. Helles only in bottles. Then I still have a bottle. Want water, but no waiter in sight. I saved money that way, but I had to drink somewhere else.

I would give 0 stars everywhere if I could. The store isn't nearly full, but you still have to wait 30 minutes for someone to take your order. Disaster 🤦‍♂️

The outdoor area was well filled on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, the temperatures were over 30°. Thanks to your very committed and friendly service worker Doreen, I received my favorite dish (beef roulade with red cabbage and potato dumplings and of course lots of soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thanks. I was even able to pay in advance when ordering. I was a bit limited in time and Doreen's helpfulness was really helpful and brilliant. As always, it tasted excellent and the portion was plenty for a hungry adult with a good appetite. Beer was tasty. I am extremely satisfied with my visit 😉

The snack plate was plentiful, but not Bavarian, not even a radish, Grilled knuckle good, but with mustard from Bautzen, is certainly cheaper, but not Bavarian. That's not possible!

Service was a bit “reserved”. White sausages were good for that. Nice location, even in bad weather (see pictures)

The restaurant was very busy when we visited. The food and service were excellent, the prices were absolutely fair and reasonable. Great ambience, like in Bavaria, and a great view over the adjacent cathedral square towards the Petersberg Citadel. We will visit the restaurant again next time we are in town...

Wonderful restaurant steeped in history with Bavarian specialties and great advice directly with a view of the cathedral and church. Super nice staff, especially waitress Maria gives good tips on eating, drinking and sights, it's hard to find that much friendliness in the catering industry these days. Thank you:)

Great Zwickel......and Hackepeter

As Erfurt residents, we have eaten here several times and so far everything has been ok. Today we had a Braumeister goulash with a dumpling. Arranged on the plate like in a mass production. The taste, there was none. We didn't touch the salad that came with it because the salad was old. It's a shame to be so disappointed. Everything has been great so far.

Good Bavarian cuisine. Price-performance top.

We were guests yesterday and were served very, very, very rudely because we thought the restaurant was making some progress and expected a card behind the QR code at the table! Never been bumped like this trying to scan a QR code! In the end there wasn't even a bye. 👍

Great food and great service, gladly again

The four of us wanted to eat something on Friday and sat outside. After placing our order relatively quickly and getting our drinks after ¼ hour, we waited a whopping 2 hours for our food (3 dishes). When we asked if we had been forgotten, we were told that there were still many ahead of us on the waiting list and that the meal would take more time, whereupon we canceled the meal and paid. Of course you can see that there is a major event at the cathedral and it takes longer and the catering industry doesn't have it easy. However, you know for months in advance when events of this magnitude take place and you could try to plan better and a good waiter (we still tipped for the drinks) should say when ordering that the food could take longer.

Waited an hour for food. Obatzer was warm. Sausage salad too. Beer was good, but better go somewhere else. Or if you want Bavarian food, drive a few kilometers further to Bavaria.

The roulade with dumpling was a poem and a culinary delight 👍

Nobody has ever experienced anything like that. We are trained chefs and we were served a knuckle and a duck. Both could only be cut from the bone. You could actually pull on the bone and the meat falls off tenderly. The waitress dismissed a complaint. Your comment = everyone eats it like that. The dirty leather pants also say a lot about the place

We had dinner here with a larger group of around 25 people. The reservation was easy, even at short notice the day before. Very nice atmosphere. We had a room in the basement just for ourselves. Delicious meals. The service staff was very friendly - but they were so busy that they were rarely able to visit us. We would certainly have ordered one or two more drinks ;-) Otherwise everything was good. We'd love to come back!

We only had something to drink, so I can't comment on the food. Drinks are good.

Doreen is the angel you need for every good evening, she serves with heart and especially with humor, she is the coolest waitress I have ever experienced. Best shop in Erfurt to spend a relaxed evening. Kind regards to Doreen <3

Doreen is simply a treasure on earth (tip well!!), I haven't been pampered like this in a long time and have found a place that I will tell my grandchildren about.

The store leaves nothing to be desired! Personally, the service was the best I've had in a long time. Food also top class. Doreen serves with head, heart and, above all, humor.

Unfortunately very disappointed - 1. Waited 40 minutes for the food even though there wasn't much going on and 2. the food didn't work at all. The liver dumpling soup was cold and in terms of taste, well, and the Swiss sausage salad, I really like it and it's really not difficult to prepare... whole thin slices of sausage put on the plate, a little cheese grated over it, vinegar and oil poured over it, onion rings on top of that and for almost €12….outrageous. Nobody sees me here anymore and no further recommendation from me....

Schnitzel 5 by 5 centimeters in size and it wasn't cooked through! €11.50 for that. Cheeky

Spaetzle as a side dish was not good. The rest was delicious and well done. The tartare was well prepared and tasted great.

We wanted to have a drink with 10 people. But it was too much effort for the waitress to wipe off the wet seating. It would rain again soon anyway. I have rarely been treated so unkindly. Service 6-

Ambience typical as expected. Service friendly. The food was mixed: Burger was very good, Spundekäs was more like obsdzda, schnitzel was dry, duck was at maximum canteen level. Pity about the duckling.

One star is still too many. The worst sausage salad I've ever had.

A nice restaurant in itself, but the allergens are not fully listed. Falafel rolled in wheat does not say that it contains gluten/wheat. This only came out by chance when I specifically asked.

We liked it very much. In the city center of Erfurt. Opposite St. Mary's Cathedral. Food delicious. Prices reasonable

Ten of us were here for our silver wedding anniversary. Everything was prepared as discussed. The snack board was impressive. The service worked well, everything tasted good and was plentiful. We were able to enjoy some good beers and cocktails as we were taken home by taxi. Many thanks to the team who looked after our table, it was great.

An inn more for tourists than for locals (they prefer to go to the old town pub Noah). Service was typically Thuringian “rustic”. The schnitzel is sold "Viennese style", but is small, thick and not minced BUT well seasoned. The burger was OK. However, with a price tag of almost €18, I actually expected a little more. Overall, not a recommendation for me.

A restaurant with Bavarian flair.

On Saturday I had dinner here with friends (4 people). The waitress responsible for our table was super friendly, fulfilled our every wish, made recommendations, so we treated ourselves to dessert - everything was delicious. We liked it so much that we came back on Sunday. The lady who served us on Sunday was the complete opposite of the friendly and cheerful female waiter the day before. She was listless, annoyed, nervous and argued: we're not allowed to do that, that's not possible... and accused her colleague of having done everything wrong and of being unprofessional and new. The icing on the cake was this: like the day before, I ordered a small roast pork. It was the same thing on the plate as the day before, but without sauerkraut and without crust. She charged me for a large roast pork and said that I had to pay for the large one because I had now also eaten the two slices of meat (very small ones) and it was my own fault. But how am I supposed to know that the small portion from the day before is suddenly a large portion? Ultimately she told me that she now had to pay the difference out of her own pocket. She couldn't do math either. She wrote me on a piece of paper that I should pay 17 euros, then suddenly insisted on 17.50 euros. I gave her 20 euros and 60 cents and got 2.50 euros back. She didn't deserve a tip with her behavior. Note: We sat in the back between the kitchen and toilets. Despite everything, I would like to use my review to give a positive rating to the great service from my first colleague and the good food.

The food and service was top. The ambience is just as you would imagine it to be in a Hofbräu. I'm originally from Bavaria and for a short time I thought I was back home😉 Of course not everything is 100%, but you also have to cover the broad masses in terms of taste etc. and not just Bavaria😅 We were there with our 1 year old daughter and everyone was child friendly and really nice. We'd love to come back😊

The guest as a burden Of course, as a waiter you can act as a buddy and casual person, but then you should be able to do your job and be able to rely on your background. None of that is the case here. One of us got his first drink about an hour after he showed up when he was almost finished eating. But he was one of the lucky ones among us who could eat at all. The order went terribly wrong despite repeating the details three times. The two missing ducks arrived about half an hour after the first of us finished. It was a similar story with the following drink orders. And if the waiter stands at the table discussing things but doesn't even notice that other glasses are empty, that's a disgrace and not great for your own business. The overall impression was rounded off by smelly ashtrays that were standing on the windowsill next to our table (probably brought in from the beer garden and forgotten) and by the toilet. What was still a few drops in front of the urinals in the early evening grew into standing water - but unfortunately not made of water. The tip was rounded off - coupled with the realization that after two previous disasters it was our last attempt in this house.

Waited forever for food and payment 😭😭. After 2 hours we were still sitting at the table.

So based on the good mentions on a number of websites, I definitely expected more. I didn't like the food at all because the meat was completely dry and no longer juicy at all. The fries were frozen. When I tried my friend's food, I wasn't that impressed either. My message about food intolerances was also forgotten. Everything else was good.

Overall okay. Food was good but not outstanding. Some prices were steep. There was no flexibility in the courts in our case (requests for change were rejected). The facility is modern and largely barrier-free. Attempts have already been made to ensure soundproofing, but if there are loud groups sitting at the next tables, the best soundproofing won't help. The service was very friendly! There were 2 vegetarian and one vegan option, which surprised me positively in a place like this. Overall, the size of the restaurant created a feeling of mass processing. It wasn't really anything for us.

Always happy! Very friendly and considerate service staff. Despite all the naysayers. As it sounds into the forest, so does it out. Some guest clientele really think they are godlike and want to be treated like that. It is still a rustic, traditional inn and not a Lagerfeld wellness temple. So you should be able to tolerate a somewhat harsh cordiality. Keep it up!👍👍👍👍👍

Super Abend ,lecker Essen,tolle Bedienung Doreen .

Heute haben wir mit unseren Gartenfreunden getroffen, um das neue Jahr zu begehen. Bier schmeckt, Essen schmeckt. Alles gut. Es war ein schöner und lustiger Abend und wir freuen uns auf die neue Gartensaison.

Typisch bayrisch - aber passt das zu erfurt? Kalbsschnitzel war gut - beilage ging - etwas trocken..... wir Thüringer brauchen Soße

Leckeres Essen, schnelle und sehr freundliches Personal

Waren zum 3.Mal hier leider auch zum letzten Mal.Hat sich nichts geändert, Musik zu laut,um sich angenehm unterhalten zu können. Personal ist höflich,dennoch muss man sehr lange warten bis man bedient wird. Ständig muss man sich bemerkbar machen,dass man noch einen Wunsch hat.

Doreen findet immer eine Lösung. Es ist immer sehr schön von dir bedient zu werden.

Leider nicht so schön. Wollten mit 4 Personen nur was trinken und wurden dann des Platzes verwiesen. Der Hinweis, dass es keinen freien Tisch gab, ist nicht richtig. Wir hatten einen Tisch und saßen schon dort mit 4 Personen. Wir wurden um 14.15 Uhr mit dem Kommentar, dass nur eine Getränkebestellung mit Essen möglich ist, gebeten, wieder zu gehen.

UNTERIRDISCH Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 60 Personen zum Abendessen im Hofbräu. Durch die Gruppengröße belegten wir das gesamte Obergeschoss und waren somit unter uns. Wir wählten das Angebot des Winterbuffets für 41€ pro Person und waren maßlos enttäuscht über die Menge an Speisen. Die Qualität dagegen war ok. Als erkennbar war, dass vom Buffet nicht alle Beteiligten zur Zufriedenheit satt zu bekommen waren wurde der Kontakt zur Bewirtung gesucht. Anstatt flexibel das Buffet mit weiteren Speisen zu füllen, bekamen wir die Antwort "Das Budget ist bereits aufgebraucht, Sie können jedoch noch Essen a la carte bestellen". Hochachtung vor dieser Serviceleistung und dieser Unfähigkeit der Mengenplanung!!! Sicher ist es schwer für eine solche Personenzahl in Erfurt etwas zu finden, wer aber mit gefüllten Mägen zufrieden den Abend verbringen möchte sollte dieses Restaurant meiden!!!

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereit Personal. Essen und Getränke sind authentisch und geschmacklich sehr gut. Das Verhältnis von Preis und Leistung stimmt auf jedenfall. Wir haben mit Kollegen zu unserer Weihnachstfeier dort gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden und würden wieder hingehen.

Hatten dort unsere Weihnachtsfeier mit 18 Personen. Essen war in gut der Service super. Leider gingen ein paar Kleinigkeiten daneben, es war halt komplett voll somit viel zu tun… Trotzdem im Großen und ganzen ein toller Abend. Danke

Freitag am Abend im Advent 🎄 Leckeres Essen und süffiges Helles. Was will man eigentlich mehr? Preise für Bier, wie überall, für Essen durchaus günstig. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder :) Dankeschön 😃

Das Essen war Okay, unser Buffet stand direkt vor der Damentoilette. Fand ich persönlich nicht so toll. Das Haus Bier hat nicht allen geschmeckt. Ich persönlich fand es etwas fande. Das Ambiente war schön und die liebevoll gedeckten Tische sahen schön aus. Die Bedienung hatte etwas Schwierigkeiten das Tablett mit den leeren Gläsern zu tragen, war bemüht regelmäßig allen Gästen Getränke Nachschub zu bringen. Ausgesprochen ansprechend fand ich die Brotzeit mit Käse und Schinken. Das Brot fand uch etwas schlaff, aber die Brezeln waren dafür ausgesprochen lecker.

Leckeres Essen und top Service, gerne wieder!

Une brasserie incontournable de Erfurt, un lieu chargé d’histoire, que la serveuse qui s’est occupée de nous à chaque visite (3) connaît très bien. A chaque passage dans cette jolie petite ville, nous y dînons, et c’est toujours un régal. Cuisine typique bien sûr.

Nicht zu empfehlen. Zu wenig Servicekräfte und diese völlig überfordert. Ein zweites Getränk zu erhalten war auch nach 4maliger Nachfrage unmöglich. Essen ok, aber sehr übersichtliche Portionen. Insgesamt kam man sich als Gast eher lästig vor.

Enttäuschung pur. Der erste Besuch im letzten Jahr hat aufgrund von schlechtem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis schon nicht überzeugen können. Essen fad und langweilig abgeschmeckt. Service ok. Vor kurzem mit dem Betrieb zur Weihnachtsfeier dort gewesen. Winter Buffet mit Hirsch, Gans, Schnitzel usw. Stolze 41€ p.P. mit Vorspeise und Nachtisch. Aber nicht "all you can eat", sondern "wer zuerst kommt hat Glück!" Viel zu wenig für die Menge an Wochen vorher angemeldeten Personen, das war sofort zu erkennen. (Dabei haben krankheitsbedingt noch welche gefehlt) Es wurde nicht nachgefüllt, sodass manche nicht mal alles bekommen haben (Vorspeise, Hauptspeise, Nachtisch) Ein Witz ist das! Gut denkt man sich, wenn es schmeckt geht's ja vielleicht noch. Fehlanzeige. Zunftige Küche geht anders. Gans viel zu leise, Schnitzel Vollkatastrophe. Der auf der Karte hoch betitelte Wintersalat mit candierten Walnüssen war leider auch nicht die erhoffte Überraschung. Wenn dann am Ende der Service nicht mal passt ist man wirklich bedient. Teller wurden nicht abgeräumt sodass die Gäste sie auf dem Nebentisch 40cm hoch stapeln mussten. Hat mich an Schulspeisung erinnert. Passt dann auch wieder zum langweiligen Geschmack ohne pikante oder aufregende Geschmackserlebnisse. Leere Gläser standen teilweise 30min vor den Gästen ohne eine neue Bestellung aufgeben zu können. Das rustikale Ambiente und Haus ist schick aber sich darauf auszuruhen und nicht mal zu versuchen die Tische etwas zu gestalten ist dann nur noch Nebensache. Musik oder anderweitige Umrahmung des misslungenen Abends Fehlanzeige. In Summe: - Essen langweilig, zu wenig - Service schlecht - Ambiente unzureichend Nie wieder.

der schlimmsten Erfahrungen in Deutschland dank dieses Restaurants. Wir betraten zu viert mit verschiedenen Nationalitäten (nicht Deutsch) das Restaurant, und niemand war an der Tür, um uns zu platzieren. Also suchten wir selbst einen Platz. Plötzlich begann jemand aus dem Restaurant uns anzuschreien, warum wir hier seien, und wenn wir keine Reservierung hätten, sollten wir gehen. Das geschah jedoch auf absolut respektlose und schreiende Weise. Wir fragten nur, ob wir essen könnten, und sie behandelten uns, als wären wir Diebe. Wir erlebten rassistische Behandlung ohne jeglichen Filter. Wenn sie uns nicht empfangen möchten oder können, ist das verständlich, aber nichts rechtfertigt diese Art und Weise, Menschen zu behandeln. Wir sind internationale Musiker auf Tour, und so etwas ist uns noch nie woanders passiert.

Die Lokation ist schön, die Portionen leider eher klein. Getränke verkaufen wollte man gestern auch nicht wirklich.

Sehr leckeres Essen und netter Service

Wer bayrische Küche liebt, ist genau richtig.

Kein gutes Restaurant. Der Besitzer war sehr unhöflich. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Personengruppe vorangemeldet. Die Bedienung war äußerst schleppend und überfordert. Das Essen war geschmacklich ok ABER die Menge war ungenügend. Die Thüringer Rouladen hatten höchstens den Namen "Rollädchen" verdient. Ebenso war bei der Entenkeule die halbe Keule nicht existent. Auf der Karte war das Essen mit 16,90Euro ausgewiesen und an der Kasse wurden dann 18,90 Euro berechnet. Da es nur einen Kellner gab der auch zugleich Kassierer war, konnte man keine Getränke mehr bestellen da dieser ausschließlich mit kassieren beschäftigt war. Ich kann dieses Lokal auf keinen Fall weiter empfehlen! Einmal & nie wieder!
