Great food and very nice rustic decor

Excellent service and food, nice atmosphere. Cozy atmosphere. Rooms OK, price-performance ratio of the rooms rather not appropriate, in my opinion. But I have no region-specific comparison experience!

On December 1st, 2024 we had a duck dinner with 7 people at the Hof&Gut. It was very disappointing. The starter soup was very watery and needed a good portion of salt and pepper to get at least some flavor out of it. The skin of the 3 ducks was not crispy, which suggests that the ducks did not come fresh from the oven, but from being kept warm. But the skin was very dark and slightly black in some places. We were told in advance that the ducks could not be carved by the staff??? The Brussels sprouts were not prepared deliciously, they were just frozen goods that had been warmed up briefly. The red cabbage seemed to have had a similar fate. All in all, it was a very sober taste experience whose price was disproportionate to the performance. Too bad!!

Very good food, good portions, varied and of high quality. Good wine selection and very friendly service. The boss always tries to make sure that all guests feel comfortable. Plus dog friendly. The ambience is rustic and cozy but not old-fashioned. Definitely come back!

The Itzenburger is my favorite. Great atmosphere.

The visit was very disappointing. The starter, the beef carpaccio, was weak in taste, and the main course, the Asian platter, seemed overloaded and unappetizing. The entrecôte was particularly negative: attractively grilled on the outside, it was completely raw on the inside. Unfortunately, after returning it, it again didn't come back in the desired quality and the waiter offered to take it back to the kitchen. We didn't eat it, paid politely and left the restaurant. The service was friendly, but it would be nice if they could return to their previous standards.

We really liked it here. We ate here and also stayed overnight. The service was friendly and very accommodating, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere right at the horse farm was really nice. We also slept very well, the room was clean and the bathroom was large.

We met friends there for dinner. The location is great, the oak trees around it are probably a few hundred years old. Very cool. The food was delicious, the fries called “Dippers” were great. I liked the tartar sauce best, it was really amazing. Considering that Jesteburg is such a small village, the prices are really high, but it will probably be the same everywhere. Three people with drinks €100... The menu is clear and the service is very courteous. I didn't feel like they were overwhelmed. All in all, a successful evening with delicious food. You can do it 😉

We were there today with 13 people for my mother's 85th birthday and we are a little disappointed. The staff seems overwhelmed!!! No friendly welcome, not a word about my mother's birthday even though the occasion was known. The food was quite good so far...a starter was missing and only came after request. There wasn't even an apology for it. For such high-quality prices, you can expect friendly service. Very, very unfortunate...

Nice and quiet hotel on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath. We felt comfortable. The breakfast was great and plentiful.

Always happy to be in a beautiful environment…. If you want to enjoy delicious, regional food and great service, this is the right place!!!!

For me the best restaurant in the region. Everything fits, fantastic service, cozy atmosphere, and great food. And, unlike many other restaurants in the area, reasonable and equivalent vegetarian options!

First of all, I can only rate the restaurant, and I would like to echo the many praises that have already been voiced here. The ambience is harmoniously rustic and friendly - not dark. The service attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and on the occasion of my birthday celebrated there I was even given a bottle of Sangiovese, which I highly praised. In terms of price, the whole thing is in the moderately high range, but given the performance shown, it is completely appropriate. Please remember this good place!

Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful service. I had dinner there yesterday with my colleagues, we come from the catering industry ourselves. The service from lovely Robert was simply great and the food was fantastic. The kitchen prepared a starter plate for four people as a surprise and it was just as fantastic as the main course and dessert. I have rarely eaten the rump steak with home-made fries (chips) so well. For dessert we had chocolate mousse and homemade ice cream. I was surprised by the quince ice cream... which is really highly recommended! An evening there in the restaurant is definitely worth it! Price-performance ratio is totally right and I would love to come back. Thanks so much The owner, the kitchen and the service work hand in hand with a lot of heart ❤️ Simply class

Is a real alternative to eat well and in a nice atmosphere. Yesterday we were back at the farm and estate after years. Not cheap but the price-performance ratio is right again. In our opinion, the change of operator was worth it.

Wir waren heute Abend das erste Mal in dem sehr schönen und gemütlichen Restaurant essen. Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir waren mit dem Essen mehr als zufrieden und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Wir hatten das Wiener Schnitzel, den Burger und die Kässpätzle und alle drei Gerichte waren sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Wir können das Restaurant sehr weiterempfehlen!

Kurz und knapp möchte ich von unserem Erlebnis im Hof und Gut berichten: Zimmer sind sauber, rustikal und gemütlich eingerichtet. Hier und da fehlt es dennoch etwas an Komfort, wenn man den Preis von 125€ pro Nacht ohne Frühstück bedenkt. Wenig Steckdosen im Zimmer, zu wenig Licht im Bad, ein großer Spiegel wäre toll und das WLAN funktioniert so gut wie gar nicht im ganzen Hotel. Zu dem hatten wir das Zimmer direkt oberhalb des Restaurant Aufgangs. Es war sehr hellhörig. Man konnte den Gästen unten im Restaurant fast zuhören.

Typisches Heidehaus, hier kann man Heide erleben! Typische gute Küche.

Wir haben gestern in diesem wunderschönen Restaurant gegessen. Es war einfach großartig! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr reichlich und sehr, sehr lecker.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

War 2x zum Essen eingeladen. Ich persönlich finde die Preise ziemlich hoch angesetzt. Essen war soweit von der Qualität gut, kleinere Portionen für den leichten Hunger

Rustikales Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Speisen sind reichhaltig und lecker, das Personal zugewandt und kompetent. Gerne bei Gelegenheit wieder.

Za nás špatné. Cestujeme po Evropě a už jsme nějaký, ten hotel nebo resort, co nabízí možnost ubytování navštívili... Když mám objednaný hosty, tak jim dám pokoj dále od hostů, kteří hoduji do 23.30 a hlučnost je jako by, seděli v koupelně na pokoji. Nebo zabiji nezpočet komárů, vymetu pavučiny, dám prostěradlo bez děr... Snad to není moc za cenu ubytování

Wir waren hier zum Abendessen mit Freunden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war reichlich und lecker, der Service nett und präsent, die Preise angemessen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Ruhig gelegen, wo sich Fuchs und Hase gute Nacht sagen, aber trotzdem gut besucht, ich empfehle Reservierung. Kleine Auswahl aber super Essen. Aus der Heimat gewohnt haben wir Zwiebelrostbraten bestellt. Riesen Portion, butterzart. Jede Menge Soße, wie es der Schwabe liebt. Einzig die Spätzle hätten etwas mehr sein können und dann sind das Knöpfle, aber selber gemacht und das ist schon eine Kunst und rechne ich der Küche hoch an. Schon oft "selbstgemachte" Spätzle bekommen, die sich dann als Tütenprodukt heraus stellten. Gerne wieder
