Hochbahn Bistro in Hamburg

The service is very nice and attentive. Unfortunately my pizza had a bit of black on the bottom, the large apple spritzer I ordered was a small one. The wrong pizza came at the next table and I didn't think the direct, open view into the kitchen was ideal. But the portions were large and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was busy, which partially excuses my points. In terms of taste, it could have used a little more seasoning.

The spicy sauce didn't really taste good and the food wasn't really fresh either. I had a stomach ache after eating it.

Absolutely recommended! You won't find such warmth, friendliness and great food anywhere else (except Al Porto, which is also one of them). But since Al Porto is closed in winter, we as a family didn't want to miss out on Italian cuisine and so we tried Al Lago. Simply fantastic top cuisine. The friendliness of the employees is on another level. The owner welcomes you as if you were family. You immediately feel comfortable. On top of that, there’s the great food. There's a really good cook there. We were there with our two children and they (2 & 4 years) were also very enthusiastic. The waiters were so nice to them. The very next day the two of them asked when we were going to eat there again 😅. So from me / us, clear recommendation.

Platzierung ganz unmöglich. Steaks passabel aber die Beilagen nicht zu empfehlen (Champignonsosse aus der Tüte) Kellner nicht motiviert. Keine Empfehlung!
