The ambience is nice, but in this price range you would expect adequate seating in the outdoor area. The food is certainly without any defects, but in the price range, everyone wants to be full at the end... It is cooked without a star, but you pay at a 1-2 star level. We would ignore it if at least in this "exclusive" place the staff weren't a complete disaster. Not all!! But if the lady slams your plate on the table because you're taking a photo and don't have your hands free, that's underground and has no place there. P.s. Simply point out to the guests that you should stay seated between courses and don't shout it into the kitchen, which table 3 is just allowing itself to do again... namely to go out for some fresh air in between...

If you want to eat something special and don't care about the price-performance ratio, this is the right place for you. The menu for 130 euros and the wine accompaniment for 85 euros add up to almost 500 euros for 2 people with water and coffee. For me it's exorbitantly high and well above the pain threshold. I could easily finance a whole weekend for that...

The food and wine was fantastic and the service was as well. The place is on 8 floor with a marvelous view over the city. I be back

Unfortunately this couldn't be reduced to 2-3-4 glasses. So you are forced to take 5 glasses + aperitif or nothing at all. The wine tour is exclusive and only available as a complete accompaniment. Unfortunately, you don't have the pleasure of receiving a wine that matches the course, but have to make do with the normal wine list. A pity!

I went to Highkitchen for the second time at the weekend, just like the first time, everything was great! A visit is also recommended for newcomers to fine dining. Menu + wine pairing was a dream.

Unexpectedly wicked. Magdeburg is not known for style, elegance, or sophistication. Technically it is not known for much of anything. Surely one would not expect fine dining to work here. Yet it does. The Highkitchen is located... high, with a view over the city and set in a contemporary and very urban interior. The food is delightfully foody-ish and surprisingly playful in combinations, textures, and presentation. I have to mention the competent and very un-mitteldeutsch friendly service. Always present, always helpful, always knowledgeable. Should, by whatever bad fortune, you find yourself stuck in Magdeburg: make it less painful by visiting the Highkitchen.

It's been a few weeks since I ate here but I still wanted to write a review. Unfortunately, me and my companions were not so satisfied. The cuisine was very good, the creations were a visual highlight and the combinations of the individual components impressed us. Unfortunately the evening went on far too long. We were there for almost 5 hours and it got tiring waiting for the food. Once we waited almost 45 minutes for the next course and that's just too long. We also took our time eating and enjoyed the courses, but if you have to wait an average of 30 minutes for the next course, the evening loses quality. It was also always cleared away very late, sometimes empty plates were left on the table for 15-20 minutes. The staff were very friendly, informative and did their best, but apart from two tables the restaurant was full and only two waiters who made the drinks themselves. Luckily not every table wanted a wine accompaniment otherwise we would have spent 6 hours there. Due to the obvious time pressure, both waiters always spoke very quickly, but we were still able to read the individual courses. It's also a shame that they don't serve espresso and that you can only pay tips in cash. We often eat in star restaurants and like “fine dining” and unfortunately this was the first restaurant we left hungry. Many other restaurants provide home-baked bread and dips for the whole evening so you can eat something between courses. Unfortunately it was a long, tiring evening and we didn't get enough. A pity...

This restaurant undoubtedly deserves a Michelin star. From the sophisticated cuisine to the excellent service, it impresses across the board. Each dish is an artistic composition of fresh ingredients and innovative flavors that pamper the senses. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, perfect for a special dining experience. A true gem among restaurants that makes every visit an unforgettable pleasure.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best in Magdeburg. The concept of small courses one after the other is great, and almost every dish is creatively and deliciously prepared. We were particularly impressed by the extremely professional and friendly staff. Our meal was not only delicious but also a fun experience. Added to this is the beautiful view outside from the roof terrace of the restaurant. We'd love to come back!

A very beautiful evening high above the rooftops of Magdeburg. Top class menu, with suitable wine accompaniment if you like. Nice service that accompanied the evening. But unfortunately not everything is perfect. I didn't like the last course at all and mentioned it several times, unfortunately there was no option to offer anything else. I wouldn't have expected that, although pastries, for example, would have been an alternative. It could have been so beautiful.

It's a nice restaurant unfortunately with a little bitter aftertaste. On the one hand, the men's toilet is not clean on the sensor plate from the urinal. Unfortunately, the staff also made compromises as they said: we generally only accept tips in cash. In terms of price, it is very exorbitant for the material used.

Our perhaps fourth visit to the High Kitchen was a few months ago now, but it is still present. Don't worry about the food. Nobody will be disappointed. High-end kitchen art prepared or better finished by the chefs in the show kitchen, as the preparation kitchen is one floor below. Everything is perfect. The level of craftsmanship is in the star range. What is missing from Stern is the expression of a style, both artistic and trendy. The High Kitchen cannot be clearly assigned. The service is extremely friendly and courteous, the latter being a given in this price range. In the warm season, be sure to grab a table outside on the roof terrace.

I got this evening dinner for my birthday. As soon as you get out of the elevator and are greeted courteously and shown to your table, you get an idea of ​​the high level of work here. Unobtrusive lighting, tasteful decoration, quiet music. As a greeting you have a letter on the table in which the complete menu is listed. Also the matching wines, if desired. I don't want to list every course here. But every single one was well thought out and delicious. Even things I usually avoid (leeks) were very good. The wines are consistently harmonious with the respective course. The service is extremely friendly. What I really liked is that there was something said about every wine and every meal. That was very interesting. It was an exceptionally beautiful evening. Simply something very special. Yes, it is really expensive. But I think that you don't do something like that every week. Then it would lose its appeal anyway. There is nothing I could complain about. It is sparkling clean, including the kitchen (which is completely visible). We felt wonderfully looked after and will definitely come back. Thank you for this evening.

It was a very beautiful evening. The food was very tasty and very attractively arranged. With 10 courses and a wide variety of variations, of course you won't suit everyone's taste ;) The menu is online and you can submit comments in advance. The only note from us: there may be information online about how long the menu is valid. We received a completely different menu than what was stated at the time of reservation. That surprised us very much. And it was 20 euros more expensive. For two people that's already 40 euros. Which annoyed us a bit. Nevertheless: the service kindly accepted our suggestion. Thank you for that too and for the great company throughout the evening and the explanations about the food and wine.

We had dinner on Friday. I had high expectations and they were met. Great menu, good wine and nice ambience. We'll definitely come back.

I was in the restaurant for my 40 birthday. Let's check some points on the menu: 1/2. clam, celery, tomato and kale sausage dish were perfect. nothing to say. 3. sourdough bread - needs more fermentation to be fluffy; butter with caramel - personally would put out the caramel out cause together with flour de sel, doesn't give a good match. 4. goose liver - paté was unfortunately under-seasoned - needed perhaps a bit of salt; needs more acidity to balance the dish, 5. Fish dish needs acidity, lack of seasoning, personally would even add some chill to to make the dish shine 6. Venison was perfect. Nothing to add. Personally would leave the grated egg. It doesn't bring anything to the dish, just ac chi chi. 7. Duck - would expect a bit crispier skin; red cabbage was just too sweet; personally would add some spices to have that Xmas vibe that the entire menue wants to transmit; Jus - perfect 8. Pudding foam was perfect 9. Coffee mousse was perfect; fruit cake ok; would leave the ice cream out and add some more freshness - the strange gel doesn't do the job. 10. Cheese - fig mustard - perfect; cheeses - perhaps the blue one was interesting - the rest you can more or less find in the supermarket - sorry. Ice cream doesn't need to be part of this dish. 11. Pralines - perfect. Personally would freeze the filling and just dip it into the chocolate so that there is no hole in the pralines. Generally - plates had some sort of gel that is a mystery and doesn't bring anything to the dishes Plates - need to be clean; especially the boards before you bring them to the customer Service - generally good; service team should not eat snacks in the front of the customers; made us change the table during the dinner - not a so positive experience; cheese was missing on one of the plates; I had birthday - there is not a single drink on house or a simple coffee or digestif - nothing - this is for me a big minus. Fazit: High kitchen - good ideas - very expensive 130 EUR p.P plus 85 for drinks if you decide to do the pairing - doesn't match the expectations for the money you pay - it's a "middle kitchen" -would I return - probably not

Service sensationell, dass Essen fantastisch

Absolut Top-Lokalität, vom Service über das Essen, die Lage und die Aussicht.

Was für ein Essen! Ja, das Menü hat seinen Preis. Aber der Abend dort war einzigartig und genial. Die Ideen der einzelnen Gänge sind überraschend und sehr ansprechend. Zutaten und Zubereitung tadellos. Die Weinauswahl ist top. Ich bin nicht der Empfehlung einer Weinbegleitung gefolgt und habe einen hervorragenden Roten aus Georgien kennengelernt. Nach dem Essen bin ich aber sicher, auch die Weinbegleitung ist exzellent und würde sie beim nächsten Mal wählen. Der Service weiß zudem viel über die Weine und ihre Anbaugebiete zu berichten. Wir gehen gern auswärts essen, aber das hat uns überrascht und als "eingeborene Machteburjer" stolz gemacht. Vielen Dank dem Team des Highkittchen. Echt ein Highlight :-)

Ein Ort für ganz besondere Stunden. Es ist jedes Mal verblüffend, mit wie viel Liebe, Kreativität und Hingabe dort Produkte verarbeitet und zu kulinarischen Highlights verarbeitet werden. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und fachkundig. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Alles in allem einfach ein sehr gelungener Abend. Für die Gaumenfreuden sollte man ca 4-5h Zeit einplanen. Die Weinbegleitung ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Die Beschenkten erlebten einen zauberhaften Abend, im wunderbaren Ambiente, mit toller Aussicht, auf die Stadt und kulinarischen Genüssen, die den Abend verzaubert haben. Völlig unkompliziert war es für mich als der Schenker in der Vorbereitung. War alles einfach zu organisieren. Wir kommen so gerne regelmäßig ins High Kitchen. Ich liebe den Blick, das Ambiente und den Service. Eine sehr herzliche Betreuung, auch durch den Sommelier. Natürlich ist auch das Menü jedesmal ein Genuss. Wir sind immer angenehm satt und glücklich. Man muss einfach wissen, dass es kein Schnellrestaurant ist und man tatsächlich mindestens 4 Stunden dort verbringt für das volle Menü. Mich entschleunigt das sehr. Man sieht und schmeckt in jedem Gang die Liebe zum Produkt.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, das gehobene Restaurant zu besuchen und ich muss sagen, dass ich absolut begeistert bin! Das Ambiente ist stilvoll, die Bedienung ist äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr kompetent. Das Essen ist einfach fantastisch. Die Servicekraft war äußerst kenntnisreich und hat uns mit viel Hintergrundwissen über die verschiedenen Weine versorgt, die er uns serviert hat. Jeder Wein wurde sorgfältig ausgewählt, um perfekt zu den Gerichten zu passen, die wir bestellt hatten, und die Kombinationen waren einfach perfekt. Die Aromen und Nuancen der Weine wurden durch die Gerichte noch verstärkt und umgekehrt. Es war ein wahrhaft unvergessliches Erlebnis, das unsere Geschmacksknospen auf eine Reise mitgenommen hat. Ich kann diese Weinbegleitung jedem empfehlen, der sich für die Welt des Weins interessiert. Die Aussicht über die Stadt ist noch ein toller Zusatz.

War angenehm überrascht. Preis / Leistung sind sehr gut. Die Gänge haben durchgehend eine sehr gute Qualität. Einziger Kritikpunkt wäre die Weinbegleitung. Es gibt so viele tolle deutsche Weine, auch Spitzenweine, aber leider hat es keiner auf die Karte geschafft. Wir werden zum nächsten Kartenwechsel sicher noch einmal kommen. Man sollte etwa 4 Stunden einplanen.

Ein langer und gelungener Abend. Wer hier essen möchte muss Zeit mitbringen. Zu diesem hoch gelegenen Restaurant geht man nicht essen, man (er)lebt das Essen. Eine wunderbare Darbietung von Kochkünsten. Keine Frage, sei es zum Essen oder zum Wein, blieb unbeantwortet. Weiter so und gerne wieder.

Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und das Personal war nicht nur sehr freundlich sondern auch sehr engagiert bei der Vorstellung der Gerichte und der Weinreise. Sehr negativ und daher 1Stern Abzug waren die sehr kleinen Mengen bei der Weinreise (teilweise weniger als 50ml und somit manchmal nur 3 Schlücke), die wir so noch nie in einem guten Restaurant erlebt haben. Den Gast nach dem Feedback darauf hinzuweisen, dass er sich ja hätte melden können, fanden wir auch eher merkwürdig.

High_denei war das ein schöner Abend. Wir wurden von einem unglaublich netten Personal empfangen, die uns mit Witz und Wissen durch den Abend führten. Die Vorspeisen waren gut - doch die Highlights kamen erst mit dem Hauptgang. Kräftige, abgerundete Speisen, mit Mut und fachlicher Perfektion wurden begleitet von einer famosen Weinbegleitung. Wer in Magdeburg verweilt, sollte sich das Highkitchen nicht entgehen lassen.

Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich finde es ist ideal wenn man als paar mal einige Stunden verbringen möchte und dabei mit sehr schönem Essen beköstigt werden möchte. Wir fanden es sehr schön und werden es garantiert nochmal machen. 4 Stunden muss man allerdings locker einplanen dort. Also nichts für mal schnell was essen gehen sondern etwas für einen besonderen Abend.

Ein durchweg schöner und gelungener Abend liegt hinter uns. Wir waren zum ersten mal im High Kitchen und soviel sei gesagt, es wird nicht das letzte mal gewesen sein. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, der Service war freundlich, kompetent, professionell aber trotzdem locker. 1 mit Sternchen! Die Gänge waren abwechslungsreich, sehr gut durchdacht und aufeinander abgestimmt. Viele kleine Portionen mit immer neuen Geschmackserlebnissen. Satt waren wir zum Schluss definitiv. Die Weinauswahl ist ebenfalls gut abgestimmt und bietet einen tollen Ausflug in die Welt der Weine. Das Ambiente war ruhig, der Ausblick wundervoll. Zum Thema Wartezeit, welche in anderen Rezessionen bemängelt wird. Ich gehe in ein gehobenes Restaurant mit einem 8 Gänge Menü nicht, wenn ich Stress oder keine Zeit habe. Natürlich muss man etwas Zeit mitbringen. Ich habe es allerdings eher als Segen empfunden in den heutigen hektischen Zeiten. Wir sind sehr zufrieden gegangen und kommen gern wieder. Die Lage über den Dächern von Magdeburg ist wirklich einzigartig, eine wundervolle Aussicht. Das Konzept ist absolut gelungen und stimmig. Der Service und das ganze Drumherum sind auf einem hohen Niveau. Es ist eine tolle Erfahrung dort einen Abend zu verbringen.
