We've been there several times and have always been impressed. I just celebrated my 50th birthday, and it was amazing. A fantastic location, attentive and friendly service, and incredibly delicious food. It was unforgettable, and the guests were all thrilled. Thanks to the entire team 🥰

The view is great But it's lost its shine... 15 years ago, we went to Heuchelberg almost every weekend to eat the classic Hahn im Korb (Rooster in the Basket). Man, it was great. A basket full of fries and a beautiful, perfect rooster on top. We wanted to experience that again, but were bitterly disappointed. The rooster is the size of a quail; I'm at a loss where they get chickens like that. No fries, you have to order them separately, and they're anything but fresh. There's also a potato salad that looks and tastes dry and very stale; you can't convince a Swabian to go with that. And ultimately, with €17.90 for the "classic," there's another disappointment. I'm at a loss for words.

We were invited to a 60th birthday party - great outdoor location - food was very, very tasty - view from above the vineyards was a dream - short hike from the parking lot to the tower and the dining options: 6-10 minutes depending on your fitness 😉 Advantage: after dinner, with a full stomach, all you have to do is head back down the mountain...will we be back? Yes, we'd love to - a great destination even without a party 🫵👍

Our school year from St. Leon concluded their day trip outside in the charming pavilion. The friendly and patient support with advice and reservations was impressive. We were also absolutely thrilled by the delicious buffet food (at a very reasonable all-inclusive price) and the perfect service provided by our very sweet and friendly Lilia. The trip was rounded off by the extraordinary ambiance offered by the Heuchelberger Warte, with its pavilion and outdoor area. Our group was thoroughly delighted and satisfied.

From the parking lot you can take a shuttle or walk up. On Monday and Tuesday no shuttle restaurant above closed. Super nice lounge terrace with Ibiza atmosphere.

Hello everyone, We celebrated a milestone birthday today. With a Korean barbecue. Very tasty 😋 and a lot of it. Afterwards, coffee and a selection of desserts. Despite the 30-degree heat, it was pleasant. There was always a gentle breeze up there on the mountain. We'd be happy to come again. We also asked about the winter special: fondue. It's sure to be especially nice while crouching on the mountain. We'd be happy to come again.

A wide variety of seating options with a great view. Outside, it's self-service only, but that's part of the concept and perfectly acceptable. However, the steep path up the mountain isn't suitable for everyone. Officially, the last part of the mountain is only open to agricultural traffic.

It'll be a great wedding day, they said! Great location, they said. Oh yes. That's true. The rest is... well, YES. Service? What kind of service? No waiter. You get the food yourself little by little. Beware, if you order from different preparation stations, because then only one of them will be hot. You even get the drinks yourself. Not only that. There's even a receipt system. I thought that was only practical in festival tents. No way. Carry your Hugo, water, beer, and everything else to your table on a tray. Then the food is numbered somewhere to indicate that it's ready. Pick it up yourself. The McDonald's principle. Pull a slip of paper and wait until your number is displayed. The prices are steep, though. €5.20 for a wheat beer. And you get it yourself, too. "If there's no waiter, we might as well add the tip to the price," the operators must have thought. It worked because it was full. The view was fantastic, though. That's the only thing that justifies the prices. Would you go again? I don't think so! The experience was worth it, though.

The location and view are beautiful. Prices are high to excessive, in my personal opinion. The chicken was tasty, but potato salad is a matter of taste. The Long Walk is pleasant to walk, but the shuttle bus driver should be more considerate of pedestrians and not confuse the path with the race track. The service at the waiting area was sometimes overwhelmed, especially at the "coffee hut." Perhaps this was due to the crowds, but it still shouldn't have happened.

The location is truly fantastic. The food is excellent value for money, and the ambiance is unique.

A beautiful spot in nature, delicious food, and a magnificent view – pure enjoyment and relaxation. The detour to Tripsdrill was worth it.

The food was good overall, but with a few minor drawbacks: The schnitzel was cooked a little too long in the pan – too dark on the outside, but still okay on the inside. The half chicken was slightly overcooked, probably not intentionally. On the other hand, the spaetzle were truly delicious – nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. A pleasant visit – with a little more care in the kitchen, it would have been perfect.

Superbly located. It's also incredibly busy when the weather's good. This makes it seem very chaotic and confusing if you're not familiar with the place. But a pleasant surprise: a well-organized system, fast food service, and absolutely delicious! Top notch!

A beautiful place with exceptionally friendly staff. We were there for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. The decor is simply stylish, both inside and out, and you immediately feel at home. The food was excellent, the prices were absolutely reasonable, and everything was attractively presented. You can walk up the hill in a relaxed 20 minutes, or you can take the shuttle service. We'll definitely be back soon!

We were invited to a birthday party with about 50 other guests. A wonderful atmosphere, great food, and fantastic staff. Just like last time... ;-) I only took one photo there; a professional took the others.

I was there for the first time today at 2:50 p.m., and it's not easy to figure out how it all works. Parking spaces aren't signposted at all. There are plenty of signs with no parking and a €55 fine. Asking the staff didn't yield a satisfactory answer. Parking spaces for employees are signposted. You also have to figure out that it's self-service. Several attempts to order from the staff were unsuccessful, and you end up standing at the checkout like a silly idiot. I was finally able to order, but then I had to pay €3 more for the same meal because it was just after 3 p.m. I've never experienced such disinterested staff. No information on how the food pickup works, and at some point someone comes along and asks if you've ordered Kässpätzle, saying they've been sitting in the counter for ages. And they were only lukewarm. Then you get a child's portion and three leaves of lettuce for €16.90. For that price, it's simply outrageous!!! I tried it out because I wanted to come here with a convertible group, but I'm not going to send anyone here in 100 cold winters, and this was my first and last time.

This place shouldn't be praised, but rather kept secret. Always a great destination. Always great food. Always wonderful to be enchanted by the lovingly decorated interior of this place.

Unfortunately, there was very little on the plate, and the quality of the food left much to be desired. All this for a much too high price, despite being self-service. The view doesn't even make up for it. Schorle and Spezi, still sparkling. Roast beef, tough and inedible. Schnitzel, €21, the size of a cigarette pack. What a shame!

The setting not only offers breathtaking views, but also plenty of space – ideal for larger groups, families, or simply a relaxing getaway for two. What I particularly liked: There's something for everyone – the menu is anything but run-of-the-mill. In addition to the classics, there are also creative, unique dishes that you won't find everywhere. A true culinary highlight! The service was also top-notch – the staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and courteous, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Conclusion: We'd love to go back! The combination of a great ambiance, good food, and a fantastic team makes the Heuchelberger Warte a true insider tip in the region.

Total begeistert von dem besonderen Grillabend im Glashaus! Es war alles perfekt, von der freundlichen Servicekraft, das Ambiente, dem Glashaus für 4 Personen, die leckeren Dips, das Fleisch, einfach alles war super lecker! Die Auswahl an Dessert rundete den gelungenen Abend ab! Da es zum Abschluss doch noch zu regnen gewann, nahmen wir gerne den Taxiservice zum Parkplatz an!

I was back on the Heuchelberg yesterday for the first time in 10 years. The positive aspects are of course the ambiance and the beautiful view. It's really nice to sit and have a lot of attention to detail in the decor. We probably won't eat here again though, if we do then it will just be cocktails and enjoy the view. We had a very expensive burger for €12.90 with sweet potato fries for an additional €6.90 and naturally expected a taste experience. When the burger was being prepared, the rather unhygienic conditions were immediately apparent. Although gloves were worn, they were still used to touching everything else. An employee at the burger restaurant was wiping the windows and the water dripped into the bucket with the clean cutlery. He placed the bucket right next to the burger preparation area. Unfortunately, I didn't like the taste of the burger very much and it still sat in my stomach hours later. The sweet potato fries were good though. We'll definitely be back, but not for the food.

In nice summer weather, it's definitely a dream: big trees, plenty of shade, really cozy! Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly and windy when we were there. Still, great atmosphere and delicious food! The portions are quite large; I had the Swabian gyro.

Great place to spend a relaxed evening (during the week). Prices are a bit expensive, portions are OK! Sanitary facilities are very clean, dog-friendly, so we'll be back 👍

The location is wonderful, the view, and the decor inside. You definitely feel at home there. Unfortunately, the BBQ bowl wasn't good at all; the meat was completely submerged in sauce, very intense and mushy; you couldn't taste the meat at all, and it could have been anything. According to the menu, it was supposed to be a baked potato, but the small half potato wasn't really worth mentioning. Anyway, I unfortunately went hungry for €20 because I couldn't eat the meat and there wasn't enough of the rest. Lemonade, well, it's a matter of taste, but the whole group thought it was way too sweet. Dessert, a waffle, was quite good, just a bit too expensive. The service was also okay; most of the staff were very forcedly friendly and didn't accommodate our requests.

Everything is great, the gastronomy is excellent

The preparation of the tiny €12.50 burger was unhygienic, uncoordinated and careless. Everything was simply thrown on a tray, lots of tomatoes next to it, and out with it. The burger specialist removed her right glove, which revealed a colorful hand covered in a dried mixture of burger sauce, ketchup and sweat. This hand was used to hold the base of my pitiful burger in place so that some of the ingredients made it onto it. Yes, guys, that's just disgusting. For €12.50 I expect a top-class burger and at least obvious hygiene when the product is prepared right in front of the customer. The flair of the “new” control room is unfortunately a shadow of its original ambience. Everything is done up to be a rip-off. The quality of the food is inferior. The beer costs over €5. The Schwaigener Elite doesn't seem to care. I would be happy if the quality improved again. But I doubt it because the store is extremely busy.
