Don’t do this. We wanted to have breakfast for a good start of the day. When we came in -pretty cold morning in oktober- they said: we are going to leave the door and the window open so it could be cold, you just have to live with that. So we take place with our coat on. Very loud music, not very suitable for breakfast. Stressfull music and far to loud for a relaxed breakfast. Then there was all the time a lot of noise from boys in the kitchen. Their only concern was to catch up with each other, and not to comfort the guests. Our waitress warned them: ‘we have guests’ but that made no difference at all. The coffee was quick. But for the breakfast we had to wait for 30 minutes. We got the ‘scrambeled eggs with bacon’ without the bacon ‘because the kitchen had forgotten the bacon’. Around 10 minutes later there was bacon; the egg was cold by then, ofcourse. And last but not least the egg was with rye Bread instead of normal Bread. There was no explanation, but when we complained they said: sorry my college is at the bakery, we have no normal bread yet (10 hour 30!!!) We had to wait for bread with the egg for 15 minutes. Never again. Horrible start of the day.

The price-performance ratio of €14.90 for a baked potato with a small pile of salad is absolutely not justified. Service wasn't attentive either, glasses were empty for a long time and unfortunately it was also very loud in the restaurant.

The food is not bad, but not great either. You don't sit very comfortably either (small, hard chairs). The ambience is ok, nicely decorated. But what I find a disgrace is the price of a bottle of water. 7€ for 750ml. This is water people!!! A no-go what you are asking for!!! Rather overrated restaurant with a nice atmosphere, but prices too high for the quality of the food. You can go there, but there are much better breakfast restaurants in the area.

Very tasty food - I can especially recommend the chicken burger! The sweet potato fries are also great. The service was quick and friendly even though the restaurant was busy. Ambiance is individual but authentic. In summer you can also sit outside. Clear recommendation!

Nice old shop. Ambience is ok. Just a matter of taste. Unfortunately the food really wasn't good. Schnitzel was very dry and the bacon on it was burnt until crispy. The burgers were burnt dry and generally not recommended for the price. I had to return a large cola that cost 4.30 euros because it tasted very stale and was no longer carbonated. Was replaced without any problems. However, the next one wasn't much better. At such a price I would expect a small glass bottle of Cola and not a bowl of Cola from a 2 liter bottle.

Sweet little cafe with very tasty cakes. The main course also looked good and tasty. However, due to its size, the cafe quickly becomes very loud. Still worth a visit.

The interior is playful and cheerful. The waitress is attentive and friendly. Her food is really delicious. Had flammkuchen with salmon and salads with grilled chicken and separate sweet potato fries... very tasty... definitely recommended.

All around a good location with delicious food at fair prices. Fast service, lively atmosphere and good selection. Maybe I'm missing that certain bit of “specialness”. But simply great as an evening meeting location!

The pancakes are the best I've had since moving to Germany! I'm American and find most pancakes I've had abroad to be dense circular bricks of tasteless dough. These were light and fluffy with great taste before syrup was even added. The fresh OJ and cappuccino were also good.

Great restaurant/café with a great atmosphere. It is decorated in a modern style. The food was very tasty, I had a baked potato, I would definitely recommend. The prices are quite high, I think. Some vegetarian dishes are available. We sat on the terrace and even on Sunday it was no problem getting a table without a reservation. The staff was friendly, but perhaps I think they could have stopped by a little more often. Definitely a recommendation. The brunch dishes also looked delicious, so I will definitely come back.

This is the second time I've come here and the dishes and cocktails are always good and affordable.

The food was ok but the cucumber lemonade was top. The staff quick and courteous. It's very loud on the street, which the restaurant can't do anything about. What is not possible is for guests to be aggressively harassed or begged by "passers-by" without anyone from the staff intervening. The way the staff reacted, this happens more often. I recommend a security service, if necessary in cooperation with one or two neighboring bars. As a guest, I want to feel comfortable. If that doesn't work, I won't come back.

A small restaurant that has a great ambience that looks colorful. The food is very good, I had Greek-style stuffed peppers, my wife had Merguez with potato and vegetable mash, both as a lunch dish. In terms of taste and price, we had Kölsch to drink. As a digestif we had an excellent espresso martini that was second to none. In addition, super friendly staff and a great atmosphere, due to the great weather it was full outside and you could easily find space inside,

We were here for the first time today and I have to say that I am more than satisfied. The waiter was super relaxed and friendly. Zero intrusive, exactly how I would like it to be. Were given great advice about the food and drinks. To drink we each had a delicious spritzer that you can make yourself. And to eat a Caesar salad and one BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN CITIZENS. The food came quickly and was incredibly tasty. The burger alone was great but the fries were perfect, it couldn't be better. Very happy again :))

We spontaneously decided to take a place outside. It's a bit narrow, but that's due to the width of the sidewalk. Service was friendly, food was tasty, price was ok too. Conclusion: we would love to come back!

That was the first and last time we were guests there. Very inattentive service, sometimes sat in front of empty glasses for half an hour, was seen by the service and skillfully ignored. Order only after speaking directly to the service staff. The time from the time we ordered the food until it was on our table was about 25 minutes, which is completely fine. The salads and cheese platter are delicious, but the burger was lukewarm when it was served, the meat was a bit bland and the fries were soggy and without any sensible seasonings. When I asked if it was tasty and I said no, no attempt was made to correct it or to contact the kitchen. That was also skillfully ignored. It's a shame for such a great location, it's very pleasant to sit there and just a beautiful area. Unfortunately, the poor service and the unsatisfactory food ruin this atmosphere for no reason. Definitely not recommended!!!

We came to Pimock at 11 p.m., sat down inside and ordered straight away. Sure, outdoor dining, but it really wasn't full. We ordered 5 beers, 1 coke & 2 cocktails and only got them after 30 minutes. While we waited for the first round, we ordered 2 more espresso martinis, hoping it would be quicker. But the two only came after 20 minutes. The waitress was ok, but people behind the counter were really slow.

The food and drinks are good and the seating is comfortable!

We had a few drinks on Sunday morning in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The drinks prices are consistently reasonable. Unfortunately, Kölsch was only served in 0.3 liters outside. The dining area was clean and neatly organized.

Simple but functional. Although I hadn't booked a table in advance, we were warmly welcomed and offered various tables in the restaurant.

Because of the location this place is a thing, but I've never had an enjoyable memory here...young staff lack direction and focus, too many distractions being on this main street in Köln.

The food was delicious, but the waiting time was very long and the service was unfortunately not very friendly.

First the good things - the location is great, the outdoor seating area is a great place for people watching, the mixed drinks looked amazing, and it's a wonderful place to meet up with friends. However, several factors contributed to a really bad experience for us. First, the menu is only available by scanning a QR code, but nobody told us that and there wasn't one on our table or the table next to us. that was surprising to me because we had checked in with a member of the waitstaff prior to sitting down, so I would have expected them to tell us. After being studiously ignored by the staff for a good 15 minutes we asked for a menu and were told that it was only available online, and if there wasn't a QR code on our table we should walk around to find a table with a code and scan it, and then they would be back to take our order. After we'd navigated that, and while we were waiting for our food a member of staff started moving items off our table, and then picked the table up and moved it a couple of feet over without saying anything, while we were sitting there. We had to grab our drinks to prevent them from spilling all over us. When the food arrived the salad I ordered was not particularly fresh and was soggy with dressing, and the chicken in the salad was very greasy. I ordered dry white wine and instead received the sweetest glass I have ever had. Perhaps it was an off night because it seemed very popular, but we did not have a good experience at all.

we came to watch the France Poland match for Euro 2024, which was already broadcast when we arrived. we ask to sit down to watch the match, we are told no problem, we obviously order drinks and finally after 10 minutes, someone changes the channel to play another match??? we asked several people if it was possible to postpone the match, but they did not get back to us. we couldn't of course leave, the drinks we had ordered were ready, but frankly even that isn't worth it, move on, I've never seen a glass of Spritz so empty for €7.50 and the minimum bank card of 15€, we really sigh

Been there 2-3 times, once I wasn't served at all even though I was sitting at the counter. The boss treats his employees badly, doesn't shy away from insulting those in the restaurant and only pays minimum wage. Terrible conditions with a staff shortage in 2024!

Quite interesting interior, friendly staff. Sufficiently large portions. The taste of the dishes is 3*-4*. That is, it seems to be tasty, but you eat food without real pleasure. Be careful when ordering, as prices may suddenly differ on the receipt and in the menu. In our case, we ordered dishes from the lunch set in the afternoon exactly at lunch time, and in fact everything was more expensive because it was Saturday... And I was pointing my finger at the dishes on the menu that I ordered where the price was lower. Why not say right away that on Saturday these prices are not valid? When paying, we had to ASK to show the check in the waitress's phone, as we were not offered a printed version at all! Further, the terminal did not want to accept payment from the phone, but accepted a physical card (often we encounter such in tourist places of cafes/restaurants to force the tourist to pay with cash).

We were there on sunday. There was a rude waiter with dark hair and a white tshirt. First of all he was rudely couldn’t wait till we finish although there was not a lot of guests there! Secondly we ordered some beer and some fries. As we saw our fries didn’t come, we asked him and he said that the kitchen is out of service now and alone at the order time was the kitchen alrealy closed! (couldn’t he say us that as we ordered?!) And at the end there was a girl who charged us more as we checked in the menu, we asked her why she charged us more? She accepted it and gave our money back. But if we didn’t check the prices, we would be charged more!! P.s.There was a black dude, who was totally nice and did indeed treat us as a guest nicely!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant and bar! The food was outstanding, the service was first class and the atmosphere was just perfect. Every meal was a delight and the drink selection was impressive. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. I can highly recommend this restaurant and bar and look forward to my next visit! 💯

Nicely decorated, but it is very loud. Because it echoes, the music is very loud, you can't have a good conversation and it stressed me out a bit. The service staff was friendly, but very slow and you didn't get the opportunity to order drinks again even though some waiters were at the bar and had nothing to do. The drinks were good but not exceptional. The drinks were good value for money. The audience was very young.

Very nice restaurant for brunch or dinner. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The vibe is good. Great to meet up with friends and have a bite to eat. The coffee is very good! We been several times and never been disappointed. 100% recommend

A popular location for eating and drinking with street food, especially among younger audiences. The food is excellent. I've been there several times in the last few years and recommend the black bread with sheep's cheese as a starter and one of the hamburger variants on the menu, which is only available online, as the main course. It is usually very busy on weekends and before public holidays. The waiters are often overwhelmed by the many orders from guests and there can be longer waiting times.

The food was good, the service friendly and attentive. The ambience and furnishings are unusual AND sustainable. We found ourselves sitting on old school chairs. I thought it was great👍😀

Very bad experience, we had to wait 30 minutes for our coffee reorder. When I asked why it was taking so long, the only answer I got was that we were lucky that it happened so quickly. Other guests would wait 45 minutes. The champagne is simply slammed onto the table. The bottle is only opened and poured upon request. The food is ok, but far from justifying the hype

A great place, busy with tourists and locals! The atmosphere is great and the service is very fast with a great welcome. The menu is extensive and well worth many a return visit!

Everything we ate was very delicious, since we were not very hungry, we asked them to divide the hamburger into 2 and serve it. They filled both plates with potatoes :) The portions are quite large, so it is better to order accordingly. Cocktails and atmosphere are very good. Sometimes the drinks can arrive late, but it seemed normal considering the crowd of the place. Reservation is required.

I can't put into words how bad the service was and how rude the waitress was to us. The food was served without cutlery, which we had to get ourselves. When we sat down we were simply moved with the table, then we were supposed to put our bags on the floor and not on the chair. Never again.

Were there today on the first really warm day of the year. Reserved a table and were shown to the table - so far everything was good. We quickly noticed that there seemed to be a lot of people working here, some of whom walked around the restaurant aimlessly (or so it seemed) and who regularly had a cell phone in their hand and were making calls or doing something else. We waited a long time for our drinks and had to place our order again with a second waitress. When the food came and we had questions about it, you could tell that the waiter was very rude. He didn't give us an answer and waved us off, visibly annoyed. We've never had anything like this before experienced what a kindergarten! When he came back two minutes later, he blamed the mistake on his colleague - but there was no apology. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was right there, but unfortunately that was it. A pity!

Unfortunately the service is really poor. This is the second time I have visited Pimock. The first time I thought there was a good reason for the long waiting times. Unfortunately, this time my assumption was refuted. We sat at our table for around 30 minutes in total and were completely ignored by the waitresses, even though they walked past us several times. The restaurant wasn't fully booked either, so that could be ruled out as a reason from the outset. Also when we tried to order from the bartender we were just referred back to the waitresses instead of just giving us 2 beers which would have taken maybe 30 seconds. Apparently Pimock doesn't seem to value its customers - it's a real shame...

Nice eatery in a well located area. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired, with the exception of the owner. The waitresses sometimes walk around without a tray and ignore you in order to take new orders (if the evening is not busy) or make private phone calls in the restaurant. Unfortunately this is not an exceptional case, I have been a guest several times. Good service is something else.

As a long-time regular at "Herr Pimock", I would now like to finally share my experiences in a review. The restaurant is located in a charming corner of Cologne and offers a cozy atmosphere that welcomes me back every time. I am particularly impressed by the lunch specials that “Mr. Pimock” offers. During my lunch break I decided on the Leberkäse with fried potatoes and salad and enjoyed a freshly tapped Kölsch with it. The meatloaf was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the fried potatoes were crispy and golden brown. The portion was generous and satisfied my hunger for the rest of the day. What always pleases me is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They are always helpful and courteous, which makes a visit to "Mr. Pimock" a completely pleasant experience. Service was quick and efficient, despite the busy lunchtime. All in all, I can warmly recommend “Mr. Pimock”. It's a place where you feel comfortable and cared for, with delicious food and friendly service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and am excited to see what culinary highlights await me then.
