Unfortunately, nothing is as it used to be. The fries taste good, but that's about it. The asparagus schnitzel is overloaded with asparagus and hollandaise sauce. It tastes nothing like a good asparagus schnitzel. I've definitely had better ones at other places. The schnitzel was also ice cold. A lot has changed, unfortunately. This was our third visit this year, and all three were disappointing. We won't be going back. I can't understand the good reviews. The good times are over for this snack bar.

We ate here today, October 3rd, and it was simply outstanding. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back.

Despite the busy Sunday evening crowds, you'll receive a very friendly welcome and excellent service. The portions are huge, and the taste is unbeatable. Whether it's the fries, burgers, or schnitzel, it's a highly recommended place.

Thank you. After a long time of craving currywurst and fries, I immediately found my favorite. Everything was delicious. The young man at the window was very friendly and even had something sweet for the child waiting behind me. From now on, I'll only go there for my Manta platter. The sausage slicer just needs to be adjusted.

The food there was always good, but for the past few years, they've been forgetting something. You don't get everything you order, the sausage isn't even cut properly, and there's very little sauce. It's a shame, because you've always enjoyed going there.

The guys at the grill are doing a great job. There's only window sales. There are seating and dining options. Everything's great.

By far the best chip shop we've had in the last 15 years. Even my wife is happy to get food there every time we're in the area (we live in the Ruhr area).

The older employee (boss??) was very friendly and helpful! When I was there on Sunday, a young man was working;((( very rude!!! My husband's currywurst and fries were very good! My vegan meal tasted absolutely nothing...

I used to come here regularly. Then I avoided chip shops for a while because the prices were simply too high for me. Recently, we brought some home for the family and recently ate outside with a colleague. Both times, the currywurst and chips with mayo were great for the price! The portion was also decent, considering it was a "regular" one. Unfortunately, the only option these days is outside, under a wooden roof. If the weather cooperates, though, it's sufficient for a quick bite to eat.

Got the classic curry fries mayo twice today. When we ordered there were a total of 8 people in the yard. The waiting time was perfectly fine. While we were waiting we got a coke and wanted to pay for it straight away, that wasn't necessary. We were kindly informed that we could pay for everything at the end. The currywurst was great, the fries were cross-fried, but actually in the deep fryer for just a little too long. But the taste and quality are top notch, so we can ignore this, the other fries we saw were optimal. We will definitely come back. 👍👍

As a guest you have to stand outside - the tables and toilets are only available for VIP guests. The parking lot is unreasonable and the waiting time is extremely long. Everything is uncoordinated and not pretty.

I really like the back grill. The staff is always polite, the food tastes great, and the price-performance ratio is great. Unfortunately, there was a problem with each of my last three orders. The first time we ordered, the special fries were completely missing. The second time I wanted a chicken cheeseburger but got a burger with a vegetarian patty instead. And on the third order I ordered a chicken cheeseburger again - but I received a burger without cheese. The third order was particularly annoying: I had specifically pointed out that there had been a mistake with the last order and asked to be particularly careful that I got the right patty. And then, of all times, my burger was prepared incorrectly again. It's a shame that something always went wrong recently. I would still like to come back, but I hope that the quality and care of the orders will improve again.

I grew up with the Hengte grill and often went there with my father as a child to pick up fries. The store was always great, even if the inside was extremely old-fashioned even back then. On April 23rd, 2024 I called to pick up 2 cheeseburgers, 1 veggie burger and 1 chicken burger special plus 4 portions of fries...absolute catastrophe! The burgers were thrown together so carelessly, tasteless and had far too little burger sauce. The bun was totally soft and mushy, in my opinion none of them were toasted! But the fries had it all: extremely salty and extremely hard....ok, the portion was huge! Sorry, but for the money I paid there there are much better quality in other snack bars!! Well...the good old days have changed... EDIT: last night (01/18/25) we gave the store another chance and ordered food over the phone: 1 large hamburger, 2 currywurst, 2 special fries... and immediately regretted it. When ordering we were told “pick up in 40 minutes”! WHAT? Does the owner not understand the word FASTfood? The burger was very small, extremely dry and not tasty. This store has now been removed from our telephone list. Never again!

Very tasty, well-known (in a positive sense) chip shop with large portions that always fill you up and taste good. Actually always a good choice! The prices are also completely reasonable.

First the good. The currywurst was delicious. But unfortunately the hunter's sauce is an onion sauce with a small amount of mushrooms, and I really can't recommend it. In addition, you are either allowed to freeze outside in the dirty seating area or have to eat in the car if you don't have the opportunity to drive home. I don't think I'll eat here again.

As always, the food was delicious, but unfortunately our order was incomplete. When I called to clarify the issue, I was accused of lying to get free food - I have never experienced such audacity! The missing food was eventually replaced, but when we went there to pick it up, we were accused of lying again. No insight was shown and the two young gentlemen were extremely unfriendly and bold. I was at Hengste for the first time today and I'm completely thrilled. Mega selection, also veggie & vegan. Had the Veggie Hengte cheeseburger, really spicy but delicious.

Die Currywurst sowie auch die Burger inklusive Pommes sind einfach die besten hier. In Coesfeld gibt es nichts vergleichbares.

We have ordered food there several times and have always been satisfied. Today I (m) tried to pre-order food by phone several times. After shouting hello several times on the other side and apparently pretending not to understand anything, they hung up. Shortly afterwards, a (fe) person called from the same phone and took the order without any problems. The next problem came on site: apparently no order had been received. Despite proof that you had called there, no apology was made for the circumstances. Even ordering again on site would have involved a considerable waiting time of 30 minutes. I have often noticed that when the owner is not there, the young service employees only do their work as they please. A total disaster!

It couldn't be worse! I'm a stranger and chose the Hengte grill because of the good reviews (4.6) and the cozy interior and dish photos. The parking lot is still attractive...otherwise you stand in front of a locked "hut" with the stop that the interior remains closed. Sales take place through a small side window and around the right corner there is an uncomfortable, covered "outside terrace" with 3 tables/metal chairs; overall, outdated and carelessly arranged terrain that visibly lacks basic cleaning. The quality of my order immediately matched this: French fries with mayonnaise and the homemade meatball. The former were more than generous in quantity, but drowned in the mayonnaise and were at best lukewarm. The meatball might have tasted delicious if it hadn't been warmed up in the microwave for minutes: the meat consistency was tough and the edges were completely dried out. I really can't recommend it, sorry.

Had Jägerschnitzel, it was very tasty. We had a portion of fries which we shared between the two of us as there are always quite large portions of fries.

I think it was the best vegetarian currywurst I've ever eaten. The fries were also great! And the staff was also extremely friendly, I got a rose to say goodbye, just like that! If I ever find myself in the area again I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK!

Ich bin mit dem Hengte-Grill groß geworden und war schon als Kind mit meinem Vater oft dort um Pommes abzuholen. Der Laden war stets top, wenn auch schon damals von innen extrem altbacken. Am 23.04.'24 habe ich da angerufen um 2 Cheeseburger, 1 Veggiburger und 1 Chickenburger spezial plus 4 Portionen Pommes abzuholen....absolute Vollkatastrophe! Die Burger waren sowas von lieblos zusammengeschmissen, geschmacksneutral und viel zu wenig Burgersoße. Der Bun total weich und matschig, getoastet wurden die alle m.E. nicht! Dafür hatten es die Pommes in sich : extrem versalzen und knüppelhart....ok, dafür war die Portion riesig! Sorry, aber für das Geld was ich dort bezahlen habe gibt es in anderen Imbissbuden deutlich bessere Qualität!! Tja...die guten, alten Zeiten haben sich wohl geändert....

Somehow the Hengte grill is no longer what it once was. On the last two orders the fries were a real disaster and just way too hard. The dishes are served cooled and the staff seems to be very overwhelmed. You can also forget to pre-order by phone. I really hope you get back on track!

Habe mich auf einen saftigen Hawaii Burger gefreut, bin ich sehr enttäuscht worden als ich die Schachtel öffnete - ein trockenes Bun mit einer Scheibe Fleisch + Ananas und 3 dünne Scheiben Gurken - da ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Die kleine Portion Pommes war für mich schon eine normale Portion, die auch gut schmeckte .

Sehr gute Portionen und faire Preise. Ach ja, und richtig lecker war's auch. Zudem gibt's dort ein gutes Angebot an vegetarischen und veganen Speisen und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Viel besser geht's nicht.

Für einen Imbiss sehr leckere Speisen, leider in der Mittagsstoßzeit mit einem Mann Personal recht lange Wartezeiten.

Für einen solchen Preis sollten die Hamburger nicht verbrannt sein. Kundenzufriedenheit versteht man hier nicht.

Wurde endlich mal wieder Zeit für Hengte Grill. In meiner Berufsschulzeit bin ich oft da gewesen. Immer super große und Leckere Portionen. Jetzt war ich schon lange nicht mehr in dem Laden. Als wir an kamen hatte mich das schon gewundert, man nicht mehr drinnen sitzen . Keine Ahnung warum. Für Oktober war es aber noch warm genug um draußen zu essen. Draußen stehen auch Tische und Stühle. Was soll ich sagen das Essen war.............. Immer noch genau so geil wie früher. Danke dafür. Die Preise sind auch relativ stabil geblieben. Große Portionen, kleiner Preis.

Leider zum wiederholten Mal enttäuscht. Pommes oftmals viel zu lange in der Fritteuse gelegen. Currysoße teilweise kalt. Portionen werden gefühlt immer kleiner. Dann lieber Preise anziehen und die gute Qualität der letzten Jahre beibehalten!

Essen war Bombe! Wer Burger mit wirklich exzellenten Fleisch sucht, bekommt es. Habe mir eine Hengte Burger extra scharf geholt. Die Schärfe ist min. 10. und nur für erfahrene Schärfeliebhaber geeignet. Es aber auch normale Varianten einer Pommesbude. Wobei hier muss man schon sagen, daß die Qualität aller Speisen auch der Pommes sehr, sehr gut sind. Respekt und Gruß für die freundliche Bewirtung. Topadresse mit Parkplatz. Einziges Manko ist, dass die Sitzgelegenheit außen nicht ganz so einladend wirkt aber das mindert nichts an meiner guten Meinung zu dieser Top Location.

Kein Innenraum, nur Abholung oder draussen mit verklebten Tischen essen. Pommes Frites sind OK Currywurst gut gebraten mit einer schlechten Sauce. Vermute es ist warmgemachter Currygewürzketchup. Schade, den die Currywurst ist immer noch das Aushängeschild einer Pommesbude. Die meisten geben hier wohl aus Preis/Menge Gründen eine gute Bewertung ab. Auf meinem Teller war zum Schluss noch ca die Hälfte übrig...viel zuviel. Ich hätte lieber weniger und dafür besseren Geschmack.....

Die Portionen sind hier wirklich groß! Das essen ist lecker. Leider kann man nur noch draußen essen oder sich etwas abholen. Dennoch guter Imbiss!

Preis/Leistung ist gut, Portionen waren schon mal größer, aber im Vergleich zu anderen Buden in Coesfeld ist der Preis und die Portion dazu echt gut! Essen schmeckt auch super, schade das man nicht mehr drinnen sitzen kann.

Es ist nun schon das dritte Mal das ich leider nicht zufrieden war. Portion wird von Mal zu Mal kleiner. Was ist passiert? Ich hoffe das es wieder so wird wie es war. Es ist einfach lecker und deswegen wäre es Schade wenn sich nichts ändern würde. Einen Tipp: Zwiebeln kleiner schneiden.

Wie immer leckeres Essen und sehr ordentliche Portionen. Wer lecker satt werden möchte dem kann ich den Hengte Grill nur empfehlen.

Hamburger ohne Gurken bestellt und bekomme ein Brötchen mit Hamburgerscheibe, ohne Soße, Zwiebeln, Salat. Für 4.20€ hätte ich mehr erwartet. Herzlichen Glückwunsch ein Kunde weniger.
