Very good German restaurant with various types of delicious Tegernsee beer. In the lower range, however, the volume level is very high and the operation is pleasant.

Very fast and friendly service. The food tastes very tasty and the price is reasonable. Conclusion: you can spend a few nice hours in a pleasant atmosphere.

Maybe it was an unfavorable day... It was very loud, children were constantly running back and forth, long waiting times, drinks were forgotten, the mashed potatoes were lukewarm, Kaiserschmarrn without raisins, applesauce or plum jam (was out!) The service was strong trying to make the best of everything 🙏🙏🙏

Never again! Make a reservation in time for 10 people and be seated at a table that is just enough for 8. We have to get a chair ourselves so everyone can sit. After 20 minutes we received the cards and were asked for drinks. 10 minutes later the drinks were asked again because they were forgotten on the way to the bar... First announcement when ordering food - Haxe is out - in the Haxenhaus! After 45 minutes the soup came... Food came sometime after 1 hour 15 - unfortunately there was no cutlery at the table. It had to be announced first and was acknowledged with jaja. There was no bread with the salads, instead of fried potatoes fries were brought, which were then delivered, but with an expression on the waiter's face... Questions about drinks - none, we had to specifically ask! I haven't experienced something so overwhelmed and unfriendly in a long time! We wanted to pay, but no one came, despite an announcement at the bar. The guests had to go to the front of the counter to pay. The last person at the table also had something incorrectly booked on the bill that no one at the table had. It was canceled, but only after several people announced it. It's a shame, we were happy that the Haxenhaus is open again, but no one will see us or our friends here again!

The food there was very, very tasty. I have to say it's great value for money and the portions are wonderful! The service was friendly & accommodating. We'd love to come back and enjoy!!! 😊😎

Super tender roast pork, delicious beer and friendly service. We had a great evening in a Bavarian setting and would love to come back.

On suspicion, we ordered a table with several people and ate knuckles. I've never had anything better from pork before. It was delicious, the service was excellent and they were quick too. And all at a reasonable price. Gladly again.

It's very comfortable to sit in, like in a hut in the Alps, especially nice on the upper floor. The service is genuinely friendly, with traditional costumes and charm. The food was always very good. It has become our favorite place!!! Addendum: in summer there are plenty of places outside! Updated: New management now! Service now without costumes, very friendly. The knuckle is really big, a man's portion, and deliciously crispy.

Cozy restaurant, the waiter was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. The sauerkraut was completely overcooked, I think the dumplings came from the package. Overall, it's more like a cafeteria level, unfortunately.

It sounds strange to eat a knuckle in the Eisbein region, but they can do it and it tastes great. Crunchy is really crunchy. When we were there with 3 people on October 15, 2024, everything was great - the staff was great, the food was great (even if the chef was probably very fond of it. The knuckles and meatloaf with egg were quite heavily salted). Quaint atmosphere. RECOMMENDED!

Dry meat, wrong side dishes, or 2 times raw fries. Even the waitress saw this without me had to explain. For 6 main courses and desserts over 3 hours. That's too long even for a new and very full restaurant. I'll give it a second chance in October. If things get better, I will of course write this. We were there for the second time. The knuckle was very tasty, really recommended. Unfortunately, another downside: the side dishes were cold. Service was good even though it was very busy. A clear improvement for the first time, but there is still room for improvement.

Went to the Hax'nhaus again for the first time after the new management. Food very good, service great, prices a little higher though. The ambience hasn't changed from its predecessor, and it doesn't have to be. We felt comfortable and will definitely come back.

The Tegernsee Tönnchen in the venerable Hax'n House in Tegel - that's a task. Well, 1 x Königsberger Klopse and 1 x sausage salad with fried potatoes = good portions, but unfortunately the meatballs were slightly oversalted and the sausage salad was a bit too sour. In addition, the sausage salad is advertised online and on notice boards for €14.90, but the menu in the restaurant states €15.90. It's only €1.00, but that's not possible. There probably won't be a second time on our part.

We found it delicious if you like something hearty. Food great service very nice and attentive. I can only recommend it to anyone who likes hearty and Bavarian food.

We were greeted very friendly, we felt welcome, the whole team seemed to have fun at work, which was reflected in the service, the drinks came quickly, we wanted to eat knuckles and we were told it would take longer, we were happy to wait, the beer was very good Well, you can also wait, the result was very good, large, hot, crispy knuckles, everything was very tasty and the waiting time wasn't long. We are Berliners, Schmargendorf and regular guests at the 🍖Tegernseer Tönnchen, Wilmersdorf. Now the landlord has taken over a traditional house, 🍖HAXENHAUS in Tegel. We have been to the HAXENHAUS several times and cannot understand the negative reviews. You have to give the host, the kitchen and the service staff the opportunity to get used to things, as in any profession or job. The service staff is friendly, responds to special requests and serves the very tasty dishes and freshly tapped beers quickly. Even with a full outside and inside area, the “girls” keep an overview and remain friendly, despite the steps. Also suitable for family celebrations. We thank everyone HAXENHAUS TEAM and will be back.....⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The dishes were hardly seasoned and the rind on the knuckle was just hard, but not crispy and cracked like it should be. The worst thing was, we wanted to order a taxi (my girlfriend walks with a cane and is very difficult to walk), the answer was: please go around the corner, the taxis are there. Despite repeated requests, no taxi was ordered for us!!! Too bad...

Of the 6 meals, 5 were really tasty and filling. Price performance was also appropriate. Unfortunately, one meal was cold and even after returning it, a cold meal came back after a long wait. Then the hunger was gone. It's a shame, 5 meals were really top and one was subpar.

Bavarian ambience as you know it, but the chairs are new. The service is super friendly and helpful. The food is not cheap but worth every cent, plentiful and really tasty. We'll be back!!

I had to pay extra for everything, my meal without salad, then I took fried potatoes, was charged extra, a sip of Fassbrause was charged as a glass and the Champion sauce was disgusting. Prices are not fair. So I don't have to go there again. The service was good.

It's a shame, it's a shame... in every snack bar you get a currywurst and fries. The Obazda was served with Mediterranean salad?? Served and didn't taste good at all, there was no pretzel, just bland brown bread. Considering it's a cold dish, it took longer than average for the food to arrive. The waitresses were overly funny, even annoying... all in all - the name whets the appetite for a rustic Bavarian restaurant with delicious southern German food, but unfortunately this is a restaurant with a simple snack kitchen.

First of all, the main courses were delicious. Unfortunately there were a few problems with the actual organization. Which meant that soups came to the table cold and dishes that were ordered were simply missing. I found the decor of the restaurant very pleasant. What's not very nice are the places right on the way to the toilet, it's very narrow there and you're often jostled by toilet users. As far as the prices are concerned, I think they would be reasonable if everything worked out and was good.

Very good rustic furnishings. Food was very good, the crust on the knuckle was very crispy. Very friendly service.

The food must have been warmed up for a while. Temperature, cold red cabbage and sauerkraut completely overcooked and tasteless. Dumplings oily and cold on the outside. Knuckle crispy on the outside, lukewarm on the inside. Sauce; Ready-made sauce most likely seasoned with caramel. All in all we are very disappointed, fresh is different. Price €24 for a knuckle with 2 dumplings, sauerkraut and sauce Probably all convenience products.

Just disgusting food after the new owner took over. Waiting time was far too long and some of the food was burnt or there were only 5 small mushrooms on the plate. The schnitzel was fried to death and extremely difficult to cut. If you look at the last reviews you will see that there were definitely only negative reviews.

It was very tasty, service was cool. Unfortunately it was very windy and very loud. Otherwise highly recommended.

So far everything is OK. But there's a lot going on, a lot of commotion, a lot of music from street artists. You hear them and you see them. I didn't think it was that great. It's pretty tight on the terrace. The service is difficult to get through and when you sit in the aisle you have to constantly be careful not to be jostled. Also from the guests who want to go through it.

Staff very friendly with a pleasant way of talking to the guests. Food impeccable and delicious. Ambience beautifully designed and cozy. Went there for the first time today and was completely satisfied. I would be very happy to come by again.

The service is completely disorganized and has not exactly invented friendliness. Constantly running back and forth with empty hands instead of bringing and clearing things away. As a guest you are not asked whether you want something to drink but always have to draw attention to yourself even though you walk past the empty glasses several times. It took so long for drinks to arrive that we didn't order any more food. When we left we saw a lot of empty tables because the waitress couldn't prepare and bring drinks. I really hope that things get better soon otherwise the store won't last long. I found it very uncomfortable due to the circumstances described. I'll try again in a few months. I hope that by then they are better organized and have discovered the smile, otherwise the store has no future.

On August 27th I was with a friend after the reopening at the Haxenhaus in Tegel. Beer 🍺 very good. We shared a sausage salad with brown bread. What was positive was that we were able to share the salad. I found the salad boring, garnished with wilted rocket lettuce leaves, but the highlight was the brown bread, it was sooooo hard and dry that you couldn't bite it. Probably still left over from the reopening.!!!! We asked the gentleman who served us about it and he said they didn't have any other bread. I found it completely impossible that he touched the bread and put it back on the plate. It has to be said that it was 6 p.m. and the bakery next door was still open. Do you always like beer but food?

We were really looking forward to the opening with a new tenant because the Haxnhaus (old) no longer convinced us. Luckily we got a table outside. The service was there relatively quickly and accommodated drinks and food requests. The beer came quickly, the food took a while, and it wasn't obvious that food was being brought to other tables. But the wait was worth it: the roast pork (unfortunately without a crispy crust) was very tender, and the dumplings and red cabbage were also good. The latter was a little too cinnamony for our taste. Königsberger Klopse were nice and fluffy and tasted very good. A little beetroot or something similar would have rounded the whole thing off. Due to our waitress's (deserved) break, we had to wait a disproportionately long time for our bill because our colleague couldn't get it. Too bad! But we’ll still come back 😉

Not particularly good, extremely overwhelmed staff and average food with waiting times corresponding to the duration of the flight to Vienna. At least you can eat real schnitzel there.

Today on August 16, 24 on the day of reopening at 12 p.m.: - Drinks took about 10-20 minutes to wait - Eating took 30-40 minutes - Price level is high. When exchanging boiled potatoes for fried potatoes you charge +€5.90 - The mashed potatoes for the Nuremberg sausages were out of the bag and the sauerkraut was a bit too sour and had no visible or tasteful ingredients. - Card payment was ultimately not possible either. - We “just” wanted to eat and were able to leave the restaurant after 1:20 hours. We were pleased that after many restaurant takeovers by Indians, Italians, Greeks and Vietnamese, a German restaurant was retained, but this restaurant will not remain competitive. Every start can be associated with teething problems, perhaps you should have asked for suggestions for improvements with a discount on the day of reopening.

Reopening on August 16, 2024. All tables are fully occupied, there are enough service staff and the delicious draft beer came to the table relatively quickly. The people sitting next to me, four nice older ladies, said that you have to allow for a wait for your food. They've been waiting for their food for an hour now... Let's see how long my knuckle takes. Less than half an hour and the knuckle was served...fresh and tasty and the rind was nice and crispy. I can't complain. The beer is also very tasty...

First time here, but sad to learn this exquisite traditional restaurant will close. Would have made it one of my personal favorites in Berlin.

Before the widely announced closure of Hax'nhaus, we as a family wanted to give our support once again. For the first time, however. Now I wish the Hax'nhaus all the best - Tegel can actually do without you! We were sitting at the top - with a 1 1/2 year old and an 8 year old child with us. The big eye roll came to us as soon as we entered in the upper area. An older lady, disguised as a friendly employee of the house (oh dear, maybe even the owner) was already making a joke about her non-existent beard. A demarcated area was well attended with around 10 adults and a few children. We sat down there. The atmosphere among the children and adults was great. At some point the service worker shouted "This isn't a children's room - why is the door always closed? I have to work!"... you would almost think that a slight wind of child-hatred was blowing through the rustic wooden room - apparently it was there before annoyed by the other children. When our son wanted to get another small bottle of still water - all we heard at the counter was "That means PLEASE, now you won't get any water from me!" This didn't really impress our big one and he came back to us. He just hunched his shoulders incomprehension. It was clearly time to go... These minor and major unkindnesses are just a few that I have written here. Of course she didn't get a cent tip from me. She was allowed to give me the exact euro... at least she had a reason to complain. If the place didn't have to close anyway, I would do everything in my power to discourage everyone from eating here. The food wasn't particularly good but it wasn't the worst either. Maybe we're doing the other staff an injustice - but that's what we wanted to call a "nice evening". We have all learned something: Our children now know that there are people who not only judge children and their behavior but also don't like them. We adults have learned to keep calm and, and this is very important, everything has a reason - even if it is the downfall of a restaurant. We wish you bon appetite :)

It's a shame that this house is closing at the end of the month! The eater was good. I had a ham hock that was nice and crispy! Beer was tasty!

Such delicious food and yet the restaurant is closing... What a shame

This isn't our first time here. But unfortunately the last. Unfortunately they will close on March 31, 2024. In my opinion, Berlin is losing one of its coziest restaurants. The menu is extensive: of course there isn't just Hax'n. Here, for example, the rabbit leg and the sweet and sour eggs, goose... and much more. The food is really good. The service was friendly and in Bavarian costume. So also something for the eye. There are no parking spaces directly in front of the door, but you can find a parking space within 500m. The restaurant also has a small outdoor area with 4 or 5 tables. There is an attached smoking area on the 2nd floor, which as a smoker I rate as particularly positive because here you don't stand in public on the street when you smoke, but rather privately in a nice private room. Our stay here was wonderful again. And we are truly saddened by the closure.

We were there for the first time on Women's Day. Food was super tasty. We sat upstairs. The man with the pigtail was nice. Everything was great. It's a shame the store is closing soon. But until then there is still a birthday and we would like to come again. Best regards.

We actually just wanted to go for a walk, but when it started to rain outside and we were near the Haxnhaus, we decided at short notice to have lunch there. The food was delicious and you didn't have to wait long. The service was also very nice...:-)

Es gibt eigentlich nichts auszusetzen. Essen lecker, Service freundlich und schnell. Allerdings sind die Preise, insbesondere Getränke, sehr hoch. Man überlegt sich, ob man ein zweites Bier trinkt......

Hier werden Gäste anscheinend gezielt über den Tisch gezogen (siehe ähnliche Bewertungen) und Grünkohl aufgewärmt aus der Dose ist nur als lieblos zu bewerten Auf eine Bestellung kann man sich leider nicht verlassen, auch wenn man eine schriftliche Bestätigung bekommen hat. Wir haben für den Weihnachtsabend Gans bestellt für 6 Personen. Am Vorabend teilte mir eine völlig abgebrühte Dame am Telefon unter fadenscheinigen Gründen mit, sie hätten kein Essen für uns und auch keine Zeit dich jetzt darum zu kümmern. Als Alternative würden nur auf vehemente Nachfragen von mir teurere Alternativen (doppelt so teuer!!!) geboten, um das Weihnachtsessen zu retten. Das war die teuerste Gans, die ich jemals bestellt habe. Meiner Meinung nach ist das eine echt miese Haltung gegenüber Gästen. Nie wieder! Das Essen ist o.k., die Beilagen z. B. der Grünkohl einfach nur süß dem Glas, jedoch die Servicehaltung verdirbt mir jede Lust dort noch einmal ein Festessen zu bestellen.

Waren am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag mit 13 Leuten da , Bedienung oben mit Zopf und Brille motivationslos und die Krönung war räumt die Teller ab obwohl noch jemand beim essen war,nach Nachschub (Rotkohl ,grünkohl,Klössen) wurde erst ganicht gefragt und zuletzt hat er die Trinkgelder nicht angenommen,war ihm anscheinend zu wenig !!! Waren leider das letzte mal da !

Deftige leckere Speisen im bayrischen Ambiente. Immer wieder gern.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Hax'nhaus zu Mittag speisen. Warum auch immer, wir waren zu dieser Zeit die einzigen Gäste. Alt Tegel hat viele Gaststätten und wer geht schon ca. 11.30 am Montag zu Mittag speisen? Wir! Vom anderen Ende in Berlin angereist, hatten einen Arzttermin dort. Entgegen der nicht so gut ausfallenden Rezessionen, wir haben nix zu meckern. Wir wurden sehr nett bedient und bekamen ein sehr leckeres Essen serviert. Dankeschön! Wir wünschten Köpenick hätte so urige Restaurants!

Wir haben mit unserer Sportgruppe bei guter Stimmung das Jahresende eingeläutet. Dazu beigetragen haben die leckeren Speisen und der gute aufmerksame Service.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht vom Hax'nhaus! Kein Vergleich mehr zu früher. Ich habe telefonisch 5 x Beilage bestellt. Man nannte mir einen Preis und ich war einverstanden. Als ich ankam nannte mir der Kellner dann ein völlig anderen, überteuerten Preis. Ich sagte, das war telefonisch nicht so besprochen. Er wurde leider sehr schnell unprofessionell und unhöflich. Ich solle mich beim Chef beschweren und legte eine Visitenkarte auf den Tresen. Ich sagte, ich bin hierher gekommen, weil mir telefonisch ein Preis zugesagt wurde mit dem ich einverstanden war. Jetzt ein Drittel mehr zu bezahlen komme für mich nicht infrage. Er sagte mir, dass er keine Zeit habe wegen ein paar Euros mit mir zu diskutieren und ließ mich einfach am Tresen stehen. Ich bin dann ohne Beilagen gegangen. Sehr unschön und unhöflich. Ich kenne das Hax'nhaus schon sehr lange und frage mich wie es überhaupt möglich ist, solch einen ungehobelten und mitunter aggressiven Kellner einzustellen? Lese ich die Rezensionen im Internet bin ich wohl mit meiner Meinung nicht allein. Für mich war es der letzte Besuch im Haxnhaus.

Deftige Küche trifft uriges Ambiente. Das passt!

Unglaublich: Mitte Oktober haben wir für Weihnachten für eine größere Familienfeier reserviert. Zufällig und sicherheitshalber haben wir einen Tag vorher nochmal die Reservierung im Haxenhaus erneut bestätigen lassen wollen und plötzlich ist nichts aufzufinden, nach ausgebliebenen versprochenen Rückruf hat auch der persönliche Besuch nichts gebracht außer ein „tut uns leid - scheint nicht korrekt eingebucht worden zu sein“. Nicht vorzustellen, wenn wir morgen mit der gesamten Familie und mehreren Kindern vor Ort vor die Tür gesetzt worden wären… So etwas darf nicht passieren und die fehlende Professionalität und Kundenorientierung in der Bearbeitung der Situation tut ihr übriges dazu.

Schönes gemütliches Ambiente und das Essen war lecker, daher Preis - Leistung ok, halt nicht ganz billig.

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Das Ambiente auch. Der Service aber vom zopftragenden lustlosen Tresen-Mann (der leider auch serviert hat) war absolut dürftig. Die Krönung war sein schamloses Verhalten, wo er ohne sich zu bedanken (weil er nicht vom Trinkgeld zufrieden war) mit einer herablassende Gesichtsgrimasse das Geld kassierte. Er hat offensichtlich nicht verstanden, dass der Service zuständig ist für die Gastfreundschaft die der Gast erlebt, wofür er auch gerne mehr Trinkgeld zahlt. Das muss der "gute" Mann noch lernen und an seine Freundlichkeit und seine Kommunikationsfähigkeit arbeiten. Schade um das Lokal, dass 2 Sterne wegen ihm verloren hat.

Eine urige Atmosphäre, sehr gemütlich und entspannend. Das Essen ist deftig aber echt lecker 😋. Auch die Auswahl an Gerichten ist gut.
